NFL’s Hail Mary: Deal Would Dole Out Millions to Soros-Linked Social-Justice Groups

The NFL, facing sagging ticket sales and less-than-stellar ratings, has turned to George Soros for a bailout — a Hail Mary of sorts that puts the league in legion with two social justice groups tied to the billionaire philanthropist.

The NFL kneelers have led to sagging ticket sales and lackluster ratings.

The Players Coalition’s latest deal calls for NFL owners to send tens of millions of dollars to Dream Corps — a group led by Van Jones, former Green Czar for Barack Obama. And in return?

In return, the Players Coaltion gets millions for itself.

The Washington Times has more:

Plagued by sagging ratings, player protests and fan outrage, the NFL has thrown a political Hail Mary by reportedly agreeing to dole out millions of dollars to two social justice groups connected to Democratic billionaire George Soros.

Under an agreement with the Players Coalition, NFL owners plan to funnel tens of millions of dollars to the Dream Corps, a leftist advocacy group led by former Obama adviser Van Jones and linked to Mr. Soros, which has called for saving the Clean Power Plan, cutting the prison population by half and providing “sanctuary for all.”

The $89 million, seven-year deal also carves out millions of dollars for the Players Coalition, according to ESPN, which has been advised by Soros-funded groups such as the Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth and the Center for American Progress, a leader of the anti-Trump “resistance.”

NFL spokesman Joseph Lockhart stressed Monday that there has been no final decision on the agreement.

“No decisions have been made on where the money will go yet, much less all the money over the next 7 years,” Mr. Lockhart said in an email. “Those decisions will be made by the working group that has not been formed yet.”

Still, there is no guarantee that the hefty payout will solve the league’s public relations woes.

The bargain is aimed at addressing the social justice concerns that have led players to sit or kneel during the national anthem, but nothing in the deal requires players to stand.

In fact, two of the most dedicated protesters — Eric Reid of the San Francisco 49ers and Michael Thomas of the Miami Dolphins — have vowed to keep kneeling and described the deal as inadequate.

Meanwhile, details of the bargain emerging in the past few days have stunned conservatives.

“If this is how the NFL plans to bring back the millions of Americans who are fed up with the players’ antics and anthem protests, then the league just fumbled the ball,” said Robert Kuykendall, a spokesman for 2ndVote, a conservative corporate watchdog group.

“Why would any conservative spend another dollar supporting the NFL if that dollar will be directly funneled to left-wing activists like Van Jones?” he asked.

The agreement distributes funding for both local and national efforts. On the national side, the owners agree to pay $73 million over seven years, with 25 percent earmarked for the United Negro College Fund and 25 percent to the Dream Corps.

The remaining 50 percent would be controlled by the Players Coalition, which has filed for 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) tax-exempt status, as a fiscally sponsored project of the Hopewell Fund, which is managed by Arabella Advisors, a major player in the environmental movement.

Any agreement would need to be approved by the owners at the annual league meeting in March, according to ESPN.

Players Coalition leader Malcolm Jenkins, a Philadelphia Eagles safety, celebrated the deal in an open letter Sunday, praising the NFL for “making a major commitment, more than they have done for any other charitable initiative.”

“What the NFL has done is a good first step — it’s not going to solve the massive problems we have in our cities and states across this country, but it’s a start,” Mr. Jenkins said. “And, more importantly, I’m glad we were able to get them to acknowledge their responsibility and role in trying to help solve these problems and injustices.”

He thanked “the organizations who have helped the Players Coalition to date — the Fair Punishment Project, the ACLU, the Center for American Progress, Community Legal Services, the Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth,” as well as city police departments, grass-roots groups and public defenders.

At least three of those — the ACLU, Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth and the Center for American Progress — have received funding from Mr. Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

Mr. Soros’ fingerprints can also be found on the Dream Corps, which merged in 2014 with Green for All, an environmental group founded by Mr. Jones in 2007 whose funders included Open Society as well as former Vice President Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection, according to Discover the Networks.

Mr. Jones resigned as President Obama’s “green jobs czar” in 2009 amid reports of his earlier Marxist activism, including his oft-quoted declaration that he became a communist after the 1992 acquittal of Los Angeles police officers who beat up Rodney King.

Since then, Mr. Jones has championed the green energy industry and raised his profile as a CNN political analyst.

The Dream Corps has four primary projects:
YesWeCode, which trains disadvantaged young people as computer programmers; Cut50, which calls for reducing the U.S. prison population by 50 percent; Green for All, which advocates for an “inclusive green economy”; and the LoveArmy.

The LoveArmy casts itself as a more hopeful and less-negative resistance group whose stances include support for net neutrality and opposition to the Dakota Access pipeline, the Keystone XL pipeline and the Clean Power Plan.

Mr. Jones wore a #LoveArmy sticker when he spoke Jan. 21 at the Women’s March, a major anti-Trump resistance event whose partners included the Dream Corps, which describes itself as a “social justice accelerator.”

“This movement is not going to let you mess with the Muslims,” Mr. Jones said at the march. “This movement is not going to let you mess with the Dreamers, President Trump. We’re not going to let you mess with the women. We’re not going to let you mess with the Earth. We’re not going to let you mess with Black Lives Matter. This movement is based on that kind of love.”

The LoveArmy, whose posters include messages such as “Ban Wall/Sanctuary for All,” also supported the Climate March and Day Without a Woman events. …

Sounds like Soros was behind this all along. Alinsky methods of blackmail and intimidation. About time for a shakedown. This must not be allowed to continue.

Here’s Krauthammer taking a closer look at Hussein Obama’s subversive activities:

    By Charles Krauthammer

I do not understand how living in a country with its democracy established over 200 years ago, and now, for the first time in history, suddenly we have one of our former presidents set up a group called “Organizing for Action” (OFA).

OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current president’s administration is trying to do. This organization goes against our Democracy, and it is an operation that will destroy our way of governing. It goes against our Constitution, our laws, and the processes established over 200 years ago. If it is allowed to proceed then we will be living in chaos very much like third world countries are run. What good is it to have an established government if it is not going to be respected and allowed to follow our laws?

If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America!

Our ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration’s top dogs over to Organizing for Action.

OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance to the Trump Administration that we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution.

OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for “progressive” change. Its issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform.

OFA members were propped up by the ex-president’s message from the shadows: “Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines. Commit to this work in 2017 and beyond.”

OFA’s website says it obtained its “digital” assets from the ex-president’s re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it is the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic we know as AMERICA.

Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says, “The OFA will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House.”

Sperry writes that, “The ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the Trump administration through a network of non-profits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide. The OFA IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate that the OFA has 32,525 (and growing) volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his wife will oversee the operation from their home/ office in Washington DC.

Think about how this works.. For example: Trump issues an immigration executive order; the OFA signals for protests and statements from pro-immigrant groups; the ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action in support of these activities; the twitter sphere lights up with social media; and violence follows. All of this happens from the ex-president’s signal that he is heartened by the protests.

If Barack Obama did not do enough to destroy this country in the 8 years he was in office, it appears his future plans are to destroy the foundation on which this country has operated on for the last 241 years.

If this does not scare you, then we are in worse trouble than you know.

So, do your part. You have read it, so at least pass this on so others will know what we are up against. We are losing our country and we are so compliant. We are becoming a “PERFECT TARGET” for our enemy!

“social justice”? still wondering what the black players really mean by this code. they apparently don’t hate the military as evidenced by the recent over-the-top amount of flags and camo wear on the sidelines. all i can figure out so far is that they hate white cops and don’t believe any black man should ever be arrested or jailed for anything. anyone else know what this is? and by the way, if the nfl is dumb enough to align itself with george soros, i’ll go hiking on sunday afternoons

  • Halal Bacon

Fawk that, keep kneeling till it hurts

  • brock marks

they just dont get it, even if they stop kneeling they are still funding far leftist groups…. which is even crazier!!!
personally, i will never watch another nfl game again PERIOD

  • Deplorable Kulak

Bye bye NFL. I haven’t watched a game since the 4 I watched last year, and I don’t miss it one bit. Most sports enthusiasts I know now watch only college sports. In 5 years the NFL may not even exist.

Better idea. Withhold 5% of the contract money from every player who takes a knee and let the spoiled brat millionaires fund their own social justice program.

BOYCOTTING is only the FIRST Step!
We need to DISCREDIT liberal players and POS commissioner!

(sexual harrasment in the NFL? it’s there. Steroid abuse and cheating. it’s there. someone with resources just needs to dig it up. and women need to come forward).

More desperation to try selling a pack of lies. All tht would need to be done, is behave decently, but atheists is too much trouble, if the sjw’s think that selling out to extremist political and social perverts will make them popular with their former fans, go for it, see what millions of dollars won’t buy.

  • Ziggy46

The NFL has given itself the proverbial kiss-of-death. Goodell and his comrades are obviously in league with the seditionists, America haters on and off the field. Bye-bye American Pie, Roger; you, your comrades, players are by and large a callow, shallow and treasonous.

  • Drew the Infidel

There is your case of “collusion”.

  • Realist

First of all, it’s not the responsibility of the NFL to deal with social problems “in our cities and states”. A majority of NFL players, if not for the NFL, would be on welfare or in prison. So once again, by the development of this plan, they are dependent on the white man to get what they want. And they sure don’t hesitate to take the white man’s millions in salaries. Next, by earmarking 25% to the Negro College Fund, is there anything more straightforward racist? How about we earmark 25% of the money to the Caucasian College Fund? The NFL is being played. I’m done with them.

Funny when Soros and the other few richest families in the world that is taking over the world gets what they want most whites will be killed and all blacks. The richest will have no use for blacks
