The Democrats never thought they would lose, which is why they behaved so recklessly. They never thought their own bogus Russia collusion story, devised to take down Trump, would be the very thing to take them down instead. Power without accountability. Until now, that is.
Hoisted by their own petard.
Peter Strzok, the top counterintelligence investigator investigating the fictional Trump campaign collusion with Russia, was a Trump hater — so much for the non-partisan, objective FBI. Peter Strzok’s texts to his to his girlfriend, Lisa Page, with whom he was engaging in an extramarital affair, expose what a Trump hater he was. At the time, Lisa Page worked for Deputy Director Andrew McCabe. The pro-Clinton McCabe is also under scrutiny for his involvement in the Clinton emails matter. Back in April, the Senate Judiciary Committee inquired about FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s role on the Trump probe, which is looking into potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government. Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley, the Judiciary Committee’s chairman, had expressed concerns about a potential conflict of interest given that McCabe’s wife ran a state campaign in Virginia that received $700,000 from Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a close friend of Clinton’s. Grassley noted in a March 28 letter to FBI Director James Comey that the McCabes met with McAuliffe on March 7, 2015, several days after the story broke that Clinton used a private email server as secretary of state. In the response letter to Grassley, FBI Assistant Director Gregory Bower both confirmed that McCabe is involved in the Trump investigation and denied that a recusal was necessary.
Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, who was reportedly scheduled to testify behind closed doors in front of the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, will instead meet next week due to a “scheduling error,” Department of Justice officials told Fox News. McCabe’s testimony was likely to, at least in part, focus on Peter Strzok’s role in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
“McCabe has an Ohr problem,” one congressional source said.
Department of Justice official Bruce Ohr was recently demoted from one of his two senior posts. Fox News reported that Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, worked through last fall for Fusion GPS, which was behind the anti-Trump dossier.
The precise nature of Mrs. Ohr’s duties – including whether she worked on the dossier – remains unclear, but a review of her published works available online reveals Mrs. Ohr has written extensively on Russia-related subjects.
House investigators previously told Fox News they have long regarded Strzok as a key figure in the chain of events when the bureau, in 2016, received the infamous anti-Trump “dossier,” which launched a counterintelligence investigation into possible Russian meddling in the election. (more)
Yes, the fake dossier.

‘Trump is a f**king idiot’ ranted FBI agent Peter Strzok in text messages handed to Congress
FBI official removed from Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation over bias accusations
The FBI official removed from Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation repeatedly mocked Donald Trump, referring to him as a “douche,” and expressed concern over what would happen to the U.S. if he was elected, according to text messages he sent to a colleague.
The Justice Department on Tuesday provided five congressional committees with copies of 375 text messages exchanged between counterintelligence investigator Peter Strzrok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page. The Washington Times obtained copies of the messages, which stretch from August 2015 through December 2016.
The pair texted consistently during debates and political conventions leading up to the presidential election about their impressions of the then-candidates.
The exchanges between Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page came to light as part of an investigation by the Justice Department’s inspector general into both the FBI’s and the DOJ’s handling of Hillary Clinton email probe, which cleared the Mrs. Clinton of criminal wrongdoing.
