Robert Spencer: The End of the Islamic Republic?

176

There is no way to tell now what will be the outcome of the massive protests that are sweeping Iran, but that they are undeniably momentous, despite the cavalier treatment they have received from the establishment media in the West. They have already led to the Tehran Police announcing that they will no longer enforce the dress codes for women that were imposed after the Islamic Revolution of 1979, and more could be coming, including the downfall of the Islamic regime itself – although the mullahs are mobilizing their military, and will not go down without a fight.

Whatever happens next, what has already happened is extraordinary. Unlike the 2009 Green Movement protests, which featured protesters shouting “Allahu akbar,” signaling that all they wanted was reform of the Islamic regime, not the end of the regime itself, the protesters over the last few days have been clear, chanting: “We don’t want an Islamic Republic!” “Clerics shame on you, let go of our country!” Some have even chanted: “Reza Shah, bless your soul!”

Reza Shah was the Shah of Iran from 1925 to 1941 and the father of Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, the Shah who was overthrown in the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Reza Shah admired Turkey’s Ataturk and set Iran on a similar path of Westernization and secularization. In chanting this, the protesters are emphasizing that they do not want an Islamic Republic, and demonstrating yet again that these protests are not just about government corruption or food prices.

One thing is certain: these demonstrations would already be over, and may never have begun, if Hillary Clinton were President of the United States right now. Confronted with those 2009 demonstrations that did not go as far or demand as much, Barack Obama betrayed the demonstrators to every grisly fate that the mullahs could devise for them in their torture chambers. Bent on concluding the disastrous nuclear deal that lined their oppressors’ pockets with billions and set the world on a path to a catastrophic nuclear attack, Obama ensured that the U.S. government didn’t lift a finger or offer a word of support for the protesters, even as they were being gunned down in the streets.

What a difference a presidential election makes. Trump has come out strongly in favor of the protesters, tweeting: Many reports of peaceful protests by Iranian citizens fed up with regime’s corruption & its squandering of the nation’s wealth to fund terrorism abroad. Iranian govt should respect their people’s rights, including right to express themselves. The world is watching!”

State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said: “Iran’s leaders have turned a wealthy country with a rich history and culture into an economically depleted rogue state whose chief exports are violence, bloodshed, and chaos. As President Trump has said, the longest-suffering victims of Iran’s leaders are Iran’s own people.” Press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders added: “There are many reports of peaceful protests by Iranian citizens fed up with the regime’s corruption and its squandering of the nation’s wealth to fund terrorism abroad. The Iranian government should respect their people’s rights, including their right to express themselves.”

President Trump has already made it clear in so many ways, most notably by recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, that he has a willingness his predecessors have not possessed to stand up to violent intimidation rather than to give in to it. Clinton, Bush, and Obama all spoke about Jerusalem being the capital of Israel, but backed off from recognizing the fact as official U.S. policy, for fear that Muslims would riot and kill innocent people, and that such a recognition would jeopardize the chimerical and fruitless “peace process.”

Trump, by contrast, grasped the nettle, just as he has done so in confronting an establishment media bent on discrediting and destroying him, and a Democrat and Republic political establishment determined to do the same thing. He is a rare man of courage, and courage is inspiring. The Iranians who are risking their freedom and their very lives to stand up also against violent intimidation and take to the streets all over Iran the last few days are likewise manifesting immense courage, such that the world rarely sees these days. Yet as they stand for their freedom, if they are abandoned again, as Barack Obama abandoned the Iranian protesters in 2009, it will all come to naught.

But Barack Obama is gone, and Donald Trump is President. For the people of Iran, have the man and the moment met?

If real “Arab Spring” will ever come, current Iranian theocratic regime MUST fall. That is absolute prerequisite. Albeit they have different sect of Islam (Shiite), the influence (very BAD influence) on Arab world is all very clear. If that regime will fall, that would most certainly have tremendous repercussion inside of Arab world. Iran, so far, was the biggest sponsor of Islamic terrorism around the world (and that include Arab world as well). They supplied them resources, logistics and IDEOLOGY of jihad while did not lift the finger to do actual fight themselves: who are they most of jihadis? Iranians? Not at all: Arabs and only Arabs; they were so easily manipulated by mullahs. It is an irony: Iran (Persia) was conquered by Arabs and Islam came with them, but now most Arabs fear Islamic “republic” while they are played by Iranian “chess game.”

    • sodacrackers2

Similar to the Saudis who never have to lift a finger but manage to do a lot of damage around the world.

      • Tm.

        So true.

    • IzlamIsTyranny

Soddy Barbaria could just as easily be the number one sponsor of islamic terrorism worldwide.

The Byzantine Empire was NOT the Roman Empire. Latin was the language of the court, but the people didn’t speak Latin. The Roman Empire, surprisingly enough, had its capital city at Rome, not Constantinople.

          • Qur’an 18:86

I think you need to spend a bit more time sinking in what that vid is saying. The Byz was the same civilisation with substantially the same culture. (And meanwhile the Roman end continued for much time, though they withdrew from Britain and hence the barbarians took over with resulting Dark Ages very (in)’visible’ in the archeo record.) He explains that Syria was the intellectual heartlands of Christendom and Egypt was its food supply, and the Med Sea was its highways system. And the Jihadists destroyed all three of these within decades of the death of the “prophet”.

          • IzlamIsTyranny

The Roman Empire was NOT Christian and if you think Constantine, the loser, was in the same league as the great emperors (Augustus, Trajan, Claudius, Hadrian etc.) of the Roman Empire you’re high. Constantine GAVE UP Rome. The empire shrunk under his reign and the Byzantine Empire was nothing but a rump end in comparison to what the Roman Empire was.

          • Qur’an 18:86

Jeez, I never said the roman emp was Christian, or that Const was a great emperor. You evidently are ignorant of Toynbee study of history. Empires are a late feature of declining civilisations. Graeco-roman civilisation – Roman empire. Became infected with Christianity, then adopted it as state religion from Constantine onwards. Same culture roughly-speaking continued in Rome and in Byzantine. Islum decimated then destroyed it.

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Byzantium wasn’t Rome, not by any stretch. There were no great orators, I don’t even think Byzantium had a senate! The fact that the Byzantium Empire invented a weapon called Greek Fire might give you a hint about what language the majority of people in the Byzantium Empire were speaking/reading/writing.

          • Qur’an 18:86

zzzzzzz……. I do notice I’m not the only reader here to find many of your comments extremely tedious. Wishing you a Merry 2nd Jan anyway. Oh hang on that should be Ides of March or what.

Dr Bill Warner is a remarkable scholar who has produced some exemplary studies on Islam, jihad and the shariah but the introduction to his video, based as it is on Henri Pirenne’s contested theory, is a little embellished. Dr Warner should more correctly have said that Islam hastened and concluded a process begun several centuries earlier and into which various factors fed. Some of these as you probably know were the invasions by Barbarian tribes, economic troubles and over-reliance on slave labour, the rise of the Eastern branch of the empire and subsequent rivalry over resources and military aid, government corruption and political instability in Rome and weakening of the Roman legions. Moralists amongst us would say hedonism in Rome also played a role in producing the soft underbelly which ultimately meant these myriad attacks at the heart of Roman civilisation effected their purpose.

The Vandals had already claimed North Africa by the fifth century at which time they began the disruption of the empire’s trade by prowling the Mediterranean as pirates. Islam later usurped their prowess, added in a certain measure of brutality and slavery which quickened the disruption and the ultimate demise of the empire. Of course had the Byzantines’ glorious wealth not been expended on the continuing wars with the Persians they may have joined forces with the remnants of the Roman legions to defeat the Muslims in Syria. But hindsight is exactly that, who in that time could have forseen the deadly consequences of inaction.

          • Dorrie

It isn’t “racism” to loathe the filth that is Islam.

          • Qur’an 18:86

I was commenting on Mahou’s geeneralisation about “western europeans”.

          • Dorrie

Perhaps you were, but she was entirely correct.

          • Mahou Shoujo

Most western europeans are muslims or sympathizers, elections results are very clear about that.

          • Qur’an 18:86

            >”elections results are very clear about that.”

Really? The Brexit and Trumpvolution didn’t exactly fit that mould. Other events depend on how the system is rigged to emphasise the most stupid voters.

          • Mahou Shoujo

The municipal and house of commons elections are the ones that most directly have an effect on the edification of muslims, and the suppression of non believers.

          • Qur’an 18:86

            >”The municipal and house of commons elections”
Foreigner-speak there! Both the council elections and general elections in ukay are very flawed as reflectors of what the population think, which is exactly why the Brexit result came as such a shock to the twats who were long being favoured by those flawed systems.

Just one example, in most areas the results are a foregone conclusion (safe seats) and some of those safe seats have muslics safely installed, regardless of the many thousands who oppose them. Just about all uk voters see it as a choice between one or other of the main (globalist) parties, with others being fringes with no hope.

More people in uk are using qurans in their quran-burning stoves than actually reading it. And if I ever need to visit Japan or Korea I’ll remember to take the long way round via Siberia.

Computers, I believe the US developed some of those and the first ones that could do anything useful. But what have you done lately? Aside from suck up to your muslum masters?

          • Qur’an 18:86

Jeez, computers were entirely invented by brits. Babbage invented concept. Thomson, Bletchley Park Collossus (the world’s first electronic digital programmable computer), The principle of the modern computer was proposed by Alan Turing in his seminal 1936 paper,[35] On Computable Numbers. Turing proposed a simple device that he called “Universal Computing machine” and that is now known as a universal Turing machine. The theoretical basis for the stored-program computer was laid by Alan Turing in his 1936 paper. In 1945 Turing joined the National Physical Laboratory and began work on developing an electronic stored-program digital computer. The Manchester Small-Scale Experimental Machine, nicknamed Baby, was the world’s first stored-program computer. It was built at the Victoria University of Manchester (in uk)

First transistorised computer – uk .

The f-ing world wide web (here!) invented by Brit too.

Loads more still being invented in uk.
China only has 20 times more people than whole uk.

So pee off please you globe-wide ignorami!

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Your theoretical garbage didn’t create a working useful computer. The US did.

AM: The site is safe and I for one agree with the conclusions wrt to radical Islam.

But there has to be a softer interpretation of the Koran’s more outlandish statements taken as literal commands and I believe that Gen. Sisi et al are working on that as we speak.

But centuries of interpretations of the original text by angry Imam’s has caused immense damage and it will take decades to reverse the damage caused by these dictatorial maniacs.

In the mean time these fanatics continue to infiltrate into western society with their purpose being the total conversion of the “Kafir” to their way of life. Now that has to be resisted. Governments allowing Sharia courts and Mullah’s preaching their hatred in Mosque’s in western nation states are the initial steps in such an infiltration.

@ IzlamIsTyranny: you appear to have zero reading comprehension. Read beyond the 2nd para and stretch your mind’s apparently inability to understand the msg. There are 1.6 Billion people in the world who see themselves as Islamist’s. You plan on their demise in total?

The Koran was written from hear-say and great imaginative compilation by fanatic’s some 1400 years ago. Their fanatical creative interpretation that advocates the death and destruction of all other religions is a human construct made by mid century fanatics and which our Judeo Christian beliefs finds abhorrent and which has led us to where we are today.

But just what would be the problem with today’s Grand Mufti’s making the case to re-interpret the Koran based on a softer interpretation of the “death to the Kafir, Jew, Hindu et al” and living that re-interpretation so that it is understood by all Islamists that there are, in reality, no 72 virgins and one does not have to maim and disable convicts and that suicide is actually a crime against Allah.

I owe muslums, muslum apologists, muslum sympathizers nothing, much less respect.
Peddle your lies of a muslum reformation to the idiots in the enemedia or the Daily Kos then rot.

          • Dorrie

Oh I ASSURE you, we have formed our own opinions about the FILTH that is Islam!

          • IzlamIsTyranny

It’s all filth, violence, bloodshed, fascism, Jew hatred, mendacity from top-to-bottom.

        • Qur’an 18:86

“So you are an Islamic troll after all! I had my doubts about you :)”

Have seen some real wacko on this site but that line has to be the champion of P.G..com wacko. lol.

        • BrunoPBuhr

Um I believe you were born with the word “Dumbass” tattooed in the appropriate place. You have NEVER been “NEARLY” a fool, ALWAYS full fledged & unawares.

    • Mahou Shoujo

Very unlikely they want democracy, they want a change so the money gets circulated to different tribes.

      • Dorrie

Obama paid them richly with pallets of UNMARKED money, which they gave to terrorists groups all over the world. What I don’t get is why Obama hasn’t been arrested for sedition & treason!

        • mztore

Like almost all politicians, he is above the law, sort of like all his selected circle of “friends”.

        • Cai

‘What I don’t get is why Obama hasn’t been arrested for sedition & treason!’

          My sentiments exactly.

There must be a dark underground potential world control group with incredible and protected dark powers (i.e. disappearing and death for those that oppose them and permanent get out of jail free cards for their mob), aiding and abetting the agenda of the clintons, obama, sorros and their various cohorts world-wide.

    • sodacrackers2

God be with them and keep them safe.

  • Duchess of Pork

Are we expected to be peppy about this? Whatever the outcome it will just mean more Iranians seeking asylum in western democracies where the women will become left-wing human rights lawyers championing diversity, agitating for open borders and promoting BDS and the men will lead al-Quds anti-semitic marches, push on with the Sunni sectarian rivalry and continue their repulsive misogynistic practices. All under the auspices of our values of freedom and toleration.

    • Bill

What a Debbie Downer. So what would be a good outcome for you? It has to start somewhere.

      • Duchess of Pork

The only good outcome would be a non-Islamic Republic of Iran. That is not about to happen.

        • Bill

Using their tactics, taking some Shariah away at a time. Or even dispense with the Ayahtollah, and form a more moderate government……..It could happen…..With enough of the people’s support.

          • Duchess of Pork

How would you take away even a little Sharia from a people who, according to the 2013 Pew survey, favour its implementation by 83% to 15%.

          • Joy Daniels Brower

            Not NOW, Porky Pig!!

          • sodacrackers2

Pols are rotten. They know how to skew them.

          • Duchess of Pork

In Pews case generally thought to be “skewed” on the conservative side.

          • Bill

I’d vote for Shariah if there was a gun pointed at my head.

          • Drew the Infidel

            I would NOT. Ever!

          • Bill

Like I said to Dorrie, I was referring to the Iranians, who don’t get a choice.

          • Dorrie

Apparently you will easily accept the Mark, then.

          • Bill

I was referring to the Iranians, Dorrie. They rarely have a thing called ‘choice’.

          • Dorrie

When it comes time to take the Mark of the Beast, people won’t have a choice either.

          • Deplorable One

Yeah, unfortunately that’s the problem. Most people have no honor. Or courage.

          • Dorrie

There will be a FEW when that time comes, who will stand against the Man of Perdition.

          • Deplorable One

Perhaps. But I will be one of them. You too?

          • mztore

yeah, give or take another few hundred years, that might happen….not.

          • Bill

Maybe. Islam has been spreading for 1400 years. Making it go away won’t happen overnight.

          • mztore

maybe, but not in our lifetime.

          • IzlamIsTyranny

“Moderate” islum is nothing but the veneer of a lie.

        • Paul Pleau

It is possible, in my humble opinion. I have a few friends from Iran, been here for many years and they and their relatives and friends still in Iran despise these elitists using “religion” to dominate them, body and soul. During the days of the Shah, Iran was such a wonderful place.

          • Dorrie

Yep, then in stepped Jimmy Carter . . .

          • Paul Pleau

Sadly, yes. What spineless, gutless wonder that turned out to be. Such a Jew hater and an idiot. A peanut farmer….WTF?

          • Dorrie

The WORST part of that asshat is that he claims he’s a Christian!

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Carter was irrelevant. When the iranian islamic revolution happened, the Shah wasn’t in Iran at the time, he was receiving cancer treatment for his terminal cancer in the West — he failed to appoint a successor even when he knew he was doomed to die.

          • Duchess of Pork

During the days of the Shah adulteress women in rural villages were being stoned to death.

          • Paul Pleau

Ok I didn’t know that. Well, we can only hope that if and when this fascist regime collapses, that loud enough voices will exist to not allow a re-occurrence. But then of course this will necessitate killing the radicals out of hand. I would agree that that is a very worthwhile idea.

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Just out of curiosity oh font of knowledge how would you go about differentiating the “radicals” from the “moderates”? Mental telepathy? Vulcan mind meld? Phrenology?

          • Paul Pleau

There are no “moderates”. There is a “silent majority” whom wait and hope dutifully for their peers and fellow advocates to perform the dirty deeds “required” to bring the level of violence that will facilitate the return of the final Imam. I suppose if one wishes to make the distinction between violent and non violent muslims then one can go right ahead and apply “radical” vs “moderate”. It is just that I think that it is almost as reprehensible to do nothing but longingly hope and pray that your violent brethren succeed in their filthy, nefarious deeds and support them financially etc.

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Sudden Jihad Syndrome makes the distinctions between “radical” and “moderate” as clear as mud.

          • Paul Pleau

To a certain degree, many have postulated that it is a matter of personal opinion and interpretation. I.e., some people have stated on this very forum that in “their opinion” it is just as “radical” to sit idly by and gleefully provide emotional and financial support for those whom are being violent and killing innocents. Where they themselves do not have “whatever it” takes to kill anyone “out of hand”. To support, condone, and defend a heinous action is not that very far removed from carrying out the act. I don’t think that I am stretching “law” too much when I apply the illegal act of hiring a person(s) to take another life applies herein, with respect to radical muslims and their supporters. Ergo, I personally label these enablers as just as radical.

          • mztore

Just remember, it isn’t just considered a ‘religion’, but a control….body mind and soul.

          • Dorrie

VERY similar to Mormonism in almost every way except the jihad ideation.

          • mztore

            And, and Scientology….I agree.

          • Dorrie

And Jehovah’s Witnesses, but Mormonism is the one that wants to be back how they were – their men having as many wives as they want. In the southern part of Utah, there are 100,000 Mormons who live the way Joseph Smith first began that hideous cult. Many wives and all of them pregnant. They call it “bleeding the beast,” because they’re all on welfare and proud of it.

          • mztore

I hear ya. We lived in Utah some years ago. Left because of the mor man religion. Unless you are a mor man, you don’t survive in business there.

          • Dorrie

Very true. I lived there 4 years and our motor home was vandalized, our home was broken into, we got death threats on the phone – the neighborhood knew we weren’t Mormon because we didn’t show up at their “chapel” on Sundays. I had to take employers to the labor bureau to collect wages promised (and I won). But I was sure glad when we moved!

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Wow, interesting. I only stopped trusting Mormons once I read how their pedophile prophet or profit expressed his undying admiration for mass murdering muhammud the other pedophile prophet for profit.

          • Paul Pleau

Please do not misunderstand me. I understand full well that islam is not a religion indeed. It is nothing less than a dictatorial, fascist ideology that MUST be eradicated, and the sooner the better. I am simply agreeing with those whom are protesting: That the days of the Shah were far from perfect, obviously, but the Iranian people were at least able to walk around without getting thrown in jail for not wearing tents. And the women were treated (for the most part) a hell of a lot better than they are now.

          • mztore

Never did understand why the powers that be wanted the Shah gone. The people seemed content when he was there. Maybe not.

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Bwahahahahaha, “a wonderful place.” The Shah is only a human rights champion relative to the Ayatrollah fool, but he didn’t tolerate public criticism of his regime. The Shah’s Iran was NOT a liberal, pluralistic democracy by any stretch of the imagination. I wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if the Shah enforced islamic blasphemy and heresy laws.

          • Paul Pleau

Listen you arrogant, condescending, conceited little turd, I was speaking in comparative terms. Why the hell do you think that so many of these people who were protesting were lamenting the loss of the Shah.

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Some people lamented the death Stalin dumb dipstick. The Shah has his Savak… I’m questioning how “secular” the Shah really was. If he enforced islamic blasphemy and heresy laws then he and you can both FOAD.

      • IzlamIsTyranny

It’s called reality, maybe you’ve heard rumors of its existence.

    • IzlamIsTyranny

In my neck of Caliphornia there are plenty of f’ing Shi’a scum trying to infiltrate/subvert/co-opt law enforcement/judiciary/government.

      • Duchess of Pork

Once they have bled the taxpayer to fund their degrees and installed their puppets to aid and abet the subversion of universities yes they move on to local and govt authorities. Islamic career advancement at your service.

We can only hope that Trump has OK’d a clandestine campaign to support / trigger… the current (and growing) Iranian uprising which will hopefully remove the Islamic, revolutionary regime in the not to distant future (within the next 6-12 months, at most)

The best and probably only way to build up a massive popular, anti government movement that might also be able to topple the regime, is by facilitating wide spread shortages of gasoline / refined oil products (all types of gasoline / lubricants) around the country (sabotaging oil pipes / export import terminals / refineries / regional storage facilities) which will also spike its price in the gas station (if it will even have it…) and wreak havoc in all economic activity around the country (distribution of ALL consumer products, electricity shortages, severe industrial manufacturing delays) and hopefully create MAJOR, wide spread civil unrest (civil war/?) that would lead to a break down of the regime (internal defections within the higher echelons of the revolutionary guard)

As much as Iran is flush with crude oil and natural gas, one needs to remember that Iran is still heavily dependent (~40-50%) on the importation of refined oil (gasoline for transportation, power plants, factories) and oil derivatives (all types of lubricants), so major sabotage activity against Iran’s oil refinery (and delivery / distribution) infrastructures, could easily and relatively swiftly, bring the tyrannical regime, to its knees

After Gasoline will not be readily available in Iranian gas stations, the price of Gasoline will spike 200-300, 400%, milk / bread / meat / diapers / baby formula / medicines / cash will not be available in stores, there will be long and frequent electricity shortages, hospitals will begin to collapse, the Iranian people will revolt, BIG time!

p.s. Probably the only case in which the ISIS suicide vehicle Modus Operandi can actually be justified (morally and operationally) and can actually be very useful, is in multiple, wide spread, coordinated attacks on oil / natural gas infrastructure within Iran

  • One-eyed Jack

Yes, I think the man and the moment have met. All love and prayers to liberty loving Iranian People.

    • Kalambong Kalambong

      No, it won’t work

Iran has the full support from Eurabia

The 3M of Eurabia – Merkel, Macron, and May – have pledged their allegiance to Islam

      • Mark Steiner

Like you, this writer is concerned. The mullahs still have control of the military, including Iran’s Guard Divisions … the Trump Administration and PM Netanyahu must meet to discuss military options, including, but not limited to, an attack against Iranian nuclear facilities if things in Tehran get out of control … far fetched for sure, but not off the table …

With the mullahs tied down with protests in the streets, a sudden airborne strike cold cause the entire rotten Islamic republic to come crashing down.

        • Joy Daniels Brower

From your lips to OUR God’s and THEIR Allah’s ears!!

        • ninetyninepct

Nuclear facilities financed by Obama with plane loads of cash. That asshole also promoted a nuclear N. Korea with even more billions and his pussy hat red lines in the water.

  • Jeff Ludwig

Great news. I haven’t seen on this on the news AT ALL! Thanks to Mr. Spencer and Miss Geller for bringing this to the public’s attention.

    • Dave

“Ditto”. And may Erdogan and the oppressors of the EU all rot in hell with the mullahs of Iran.

      • Tm.

I do not support the eu or the notion of it, nor do I support open borders. Each country must be itself, and allowed to be what it decides, and like in WWII, all countries of good will, and of allegiance to what is good and right, should band together and fight the forces of evil.
The response to WWII was proper, only that resistance and retaliation should have come years sooner.

  • The Iranian people fell into the Islamic quicksand trap. I really do hope they will manage to get out. Hair Force One should help them as much as he can!

    http://redbee.website/m/

  • Bill

A non-Islamic Iran would break the back of Islamic world-wide spread. It’d still go on, but the support would be cut off, and the momentum would slow.

    • Emmett

They must blame all of Irans problems on iSLAM, any back sliding on this and they will have done all and risked all for naught ! The fact that Ataturk wouldn’t invoke the Armenian Genocide against iSLAM, doomed his secular republic ! Therefore hang all of the mullahs and ” LONG LIVE PERSIA ” !

    • Mark Steiner

Hezbollah is vitally dependent on supplies to Lebanon being received from Iran, along with help from … Russia.

    • IzlamIsTyranny

No it wouldn’t. The Shi’a sect is nothing in comparison to the Sunnis. The Sunnis would just assume destroy the Shi’a anyway. In Pakistain, the slaughter of Shi’a is semi-regular event and I believe the Islamic State has already purged their Shi’a populous.

  • Amil Imani

It is time for Iranians to strike, gather forces, organize, and especially demonstrate in the streets in increasing numbers, even in the face of massive, gruesome, bloody repression by the Islamic rulers who still have a powerful armed apparatus at their disposal. It is time to unleash the wrath of the Iranian people on the Islamic zealots. It is time to become even more defiant and end the barbaric theocratic regime by massively participating in a genuine Persian revolution.

    • IzlamIsTyranny

Good luck with that. Too bad the majority of theParsi, the TRUE inheritors of Persian civilisation, no longer live in the Iranian islamic pig’s anus state.

  • PurpleGiraffe

I hardly think so.As song as Islam lives, there can’t be any end of Islamic republic/s.

I repeat, this was a very powerful and culturally rich nation which was invaded and converted into a Muslim nation. They resented this, hated the Arabs and yet did not revert to the original faith.

There are some emmigrant Iranians who convert to Christianity for quicker citizenship and other benefits including academic access and jobs but revert to Islam later or harbour Islamic values and beliefs. So,no such hope.

  • Tamara Hussey Jewer

Sure it’s not some kind of trick? It doesn’t make sense. I thought all Muslims wanted world domination and Sharia Law out the wazoo.

  • Alleged-Comment

I don’t see the Mullahs hanging yet, do you?? Sadly, it is NOT int he prophecies. I’m afraid they are gonna get meaner and crack the opposition down. But, we’ll see……

  • Drew the Infidel

In reference to previous Chief Executives, if you keep on doing what you’ve always done, all you’re going to get is what you’ve always gotten. Thankfully, President Trump recognizes this.

  • Joy Daniels Brower

Even as I was cautiously exuberant about a REAL resolution to the Iranian mess this time, I was also enlightened about the father of the Shah of Iran (who was deposed in 1979), the Reza Shah, who modeled the modern Iranian state after his hero, Ataturk (who must be spinning in his grave as he watches that true POS Erdogan ruining the once-promising country of Turkey!). I pray that this time the Iranian people can finally depose the rotten effin’ mullahs!!

    • IzlamIsTyranny

My G-d, you admire that genocidal POS Ataturk? Hundreds of thousands of Greeks (mostly Christian) were slaughtered/ethnically cleansed from Turkey on his orders.

      • Joy Daniels Brower

Didn’t know that the genocide of the Christians (Greeks – and also the Armenians?) was the policy of Ataturk (my knowledge of the history of Anatolia & Asia Minor is very spotty!); I only knew his name as the so-called “Father of Modern (i.e., secular) Turkey.” But it looks as if Erdogan, who may not be a “genocidal killer” (yet!), is going down another tyrannical path as well. Is this a Turkish “thing?” or is it primarily an Islamic “thing?”

  • tz1

Why is Iran’s internal politics our business?
What if all the EU leaders and the rest praise the “Pink” hat protests next month saying they are the legitimate US view and call on Trump to resign?
We also get upset when other countries try to tell Israel what to do.
What gives us the right to be busybodies and micromanage foreign countries?
Or should we go full steam ahead to globalism so everyone tells us and Iran and Israel what to do?

  • Tm.

I recall something about the Green Movement, something like 200 or so protesters were hung from cranes along a highway? So many slaughtered people, who simply wanted to be adult, to make their own decisions, to have a choice, to feel freedom.
All these tortures, and swords, and choppings, all these things we had not previously considered, are now a daily occurrence. How could we have let it go so far, we are spiraling into the Dark Ages, indeed worse than that.
Iran was invaded and by force it was what it is. Roots do not always die, the seedlings are not always destroyed, but spread by the wind, even by walking. The roots are there.
Religion and politics should not mix. Religion or lack of religion should be a personal choice. All people should have hope, and should be free, freedom being within the acceptable, civilized, human standards of the day.

  • The real and only Toedeladoki

Way to early to predict an outcome !
New religion factions are ready to step in.
But the signs are GOOD !

  • freepetta

This is only the beginning of the end. We have a long, long way to go thanks to Obama and SOS Clinton.

The America hating, anti-Semitic, terrorist loving, corrupt scmbag Obama failed because his handpicked candidate, (who is even MORE corrupt then he is) unexpectedly lost an election every poll said she should have won.

Hillie is still ? over the election after a year.

    Thank God for President Trump.?❤️♥️

  • DVader

A commendable dream, but don’t hold your breath. As long as the theocats there have enough people to break heads and shoot people, there won’t be a revolution.

    • Dorrie

Look at Iran … I think you’re wrong.

  • IzlamIsTyranny

Whether the Persian people can reclaim their civilisation from the Arabpig death cult is anyone’s guess, but I think the islamic worm has already turned too far. Peaceful demonstrations don’t work against the totalitarian fascists of the muslum world — who would just assume slaughter peaceful demonstrators as parley with them.

  • Lancelot Blackeburne

The Israeli press and some Middle Eastern websites like MEMRI.org have been covering these Iranian street protests but I’ve yet to see any significant coverage of this in most western mainstream media.

Let’s hope the mullahs and ayatollahs are overthrown.

  • Michelle

The Iranian university students will receive NO support for their aims from their western university colleagues or will they? This is an interesting point which will prove how thorough is the progressive programming of the latter as IF they fail to support the claims of the Iranians then it is apparent then that is because it IS anti-islam and that their whole espoused claims of “democratic idealism” are false and just more leftist lies. The feminists have failed women and girl children everywhere, the LGTB have failed such in all muslim countries and now the students are under the cameras

  • robert v g

Yes,I believe Trump saying “The world is watching.” has emboldened the protesters.Good for him!

  • Qur’an 18:86

In the short term this will just fizzle out, because there is no leadership or organisation. But in the longer term it indicates the hostility to the Islamic regime, which will only grow, and in due course become organised and bring a revolution to get rid of the Islamocracy. Perhaps five years, fifteen years.

    • Dorrie

That’s what the filthy mullahs HOPE, but YOU don’t know if there is leadership or not in the uprising! Those of us who know the Messiah are praying for Him to stand with them so they will PREVAIL!
