What is going on at the Islamic Center of Federal Way?

It seems especially true these days that one must sift through news reports to get to the facts of the matter. The following story is another example of that.

The headline reads “Protests at Islamic Center lead to alleged assault.” But is that really what makes this newsworthy? Incidental contact between rival protesters was the cause of the “assault.” The police have made no arrests.  This certainly sounds like a non-event. It is only the presence of CAIR that makes such a trivial thing a headline. There are no videos, pictures, or independent reports of the protesters threatening people or leaning into cars. We only have CAIR’s word for it that these things are happening. Indeed, we see the police standing nearby, so there are no assaults going on.

It is strange that these supposed, unverified rumors of “assaults” are the focus of the story, instead of who the protesters are, what they are saying, and why they are targeting this obscure Islamic center. Despite being quoted, the center’s board member is never named.

Judging by the omission of the most basic details of any news report in this story, something is going on at the center that certain people do not want getting out. Activities at the Islamic Center of Federal Way are drawing not just the attention of outside protesters, but also local area Muslims, who have started an online petition complaining about the Islamic Center of Federal Way leadership.

That is the real story here.

Protests at Islamic Center lead to alleged assault

The Washington state chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-WA) has condemned anti-Muslim harassment at the Islamic Center of Federal Way and has partnered with the mosque and Cedar Law to take legal action.

During the past several weeks, the Islamic Center, 3304 S. 272nd St. in Kent, has had protesters causing disputes during their services on Fridays, Kent Police Department spokesman Jarod Kasner said in an email.

Men have repeatedly stood outside the mosque during Friday prayers wearing “Make America Great Again” hats, blocking traffic, coming onto the mosque property, leaning into cars, invading the personal space of worshipers, threatening them with deportation and shouting anti-Muslim slurs at them as they enter the building, according to a media release from CAIR-WA.

“Members feel unsafe and threatened while coming to worship,” one board member said in the release. “The impact has been a genuine sense of fear.”

Last Friday, Kent police responded to a report of an assault at the center, Kasner said. One of the protesters allegedly physically assaulted an interfaith activist who attempted to support those attending prayers, according to CAIR-WA.

“Information suggests that two individuals, one supporting and one not supporting, each wanting their signs to be seen, may have had incidental contact when one of them stepped back as they tried to occupy the same space in front of the center,” Kasner said.

No arrests had been made nor charges filed as of Monday, Kasner said.

“This is a sad situation,” Jasmin Samy, civil rights director at CAIR-WA, said in the release. “We are all invested in taking the necessary legal steps to ensure the safety of our community and end this intimidation and harassment of families seeking to practice their faith.”

The civil rights organization has partnered with Cedar Law to file harassment charges against the men.

“There is a line between lawful protesting and harassment,” Chris Williams of Cedar Law said in the release.

Just more moslem whining. It’s perfect leftist offal. It’s OK for them to burst into churches, social events, gay night clubs, Christmas parties, schools, etc., and slaughter thousands, but not OK for us to say even one word. Up your’s, cair and other islamovermin.

As Mae West might say, radical Muslims taking over American mosques is a story so old, it should have been set to music long ago.

  • Mahou Shoujo

This is the inevitable result of more than one muslin any given place, they will fight until one is dead. It’s a good thing.

Good for those guys. Hope they ratchet it up, and make life impossible for the muzzy scum.

Here is another example of this sort of thing. This is a story about a Middle School teacher who claims she was harassed by students. By the end of this report, you won’t know the teacher’s name, who the students are, what they did, or what discipline they received. The only thing you will know is the teacher’s face, the name of the school, and that CAIR is helping her. Is this any way to report the news?

  • Michael Buley

If CAIR is involved, and Muslims are involved, we know there’s trouble brewing. And the trouble is coming from the Muslims. The protesters are trying to stave off the invasion. Good for them. Keep protesting.

I think they are taking a page out of the 50 and 60’s Negro Civil Rights movement. I think they want to declare Moslems the NEW NEGROES!!

Maybe they will get Civil Rights like the Negroes. Police escorts to and from worship, donkeys not harassed, stuff like that.

You really want to eradicate Islam from western civilization? Look to history. The Battle of Tours by Charles Martel, La Reconquista of El Cid, Queen Isabella and King Philip, the Crusades, the naval battle of Lepanto, and the Gates of Vienna when the Catholic Polish cavalry led a decisive defeat of the pasha’s forces, ending with his decapitation by his own men. In all these events the Holy Rosary proved decisive.

In that Islam can hardly believe their great fortune in their invasion of the west with literally no resistance but by invitation, we can see this demonic license has its basis in Isaiah 10:1-7, with our sins of the flesh and, in particular, the abortion and birth control industries having decimated the demographics of the west within one generation. Read how angry the Lord is with us:

10:1. Woe to them that make wicked laws: and when they write, write injustice:
10:2. To oppress the poor in judgment, and do violence to the cause of the humble of my people: that widows might be their prey, and that they might rob the fatherless.
10:3. What will you do in the day of visitation, and of the calamity which cometh from afar? to whom will ye flee for help? and where will ye leave your glory?
10:4. That you be not bowed down under the bond, and fall with the slain? In all these things his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
10:5. Woe to the Assyrian, he is the rod and the staff of my anger, and my indignation is in their hands.
10:6. I will send him to a deceitful nation, and I will give him a charge against the people of my wrath, to take away the spoils, and to lay hold on the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
10:7. But he shall not take it so, and his heart shall not think so: but his heart shall be set to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few.

Pray the Rosary to defeat Islam and Sharia Law. Or depend upon yourselves and fail miserably.

Pope Leo XIII overheard a conversation between satan and Christ Jesus, Truly Present in the Blessed Sacraments of every Catholic Church in the world. The conversation went like this:

Exactly 33 years to the day prior to the great Miracle of the Sun in Fatima, that is, on October 13, 1884, Pope Leo XIII had a remarkable vision. When the aged Pontiff had finished celebrating Mass in his private Vatican Chapel, attended by a few Cardinals and members of the Vatican staff, he suddenly stopped at the foot of the altar. He stood there for about 10 minutes, as if in a trance, his face ashen white. Then, going immediately from the Chapel to his office, he composed the prayer to St. Michael, with instructions it be said after all Low Masses everywhere. When asked what had happened, he explained that, as he was about to leave the foot of the altar, he suddenly heard voices – two voices, one kind and gentle, the other guttural and harsh. They seemed to come from near the tabernacle. As he listened, he heard the following conversation:

The guttural voice, the voice of Satan in his pride, boasting to Our Lord: “I can destroy your Church”
The gentle voice of Our Lord: “You can? Then go ahead and do so.”
Satan: “To do so, I need more time and more power.”
Our Lord: “How much time? How much power?
Satan: “75 to 100 years, and a greater power over those who will give themselves over to my service.”
Our Lord: “You have the time, you will have the power. Do with them what you will.”

The problem is that satan has been so completely successful in discrediting the Church that we find ourselves in the last days, wherein Christ spoke of in Luke 18:

But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?

Your lack of knowledge of these things, and satan’s wholesale conversion of the west via sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll, is the reason Christ said this over 2000 years ago. As I said, either pray the Rosary and comprehend the Truth, or rely on your own devices and pay the price. Eternally.

        • Josara Dezmen

There is deception within the RC system, from its beginning. And similarities between Islam and Catholicism, as well. One’s faith should not be on man’s tradition, but solely on The Word….Jesus! Who is Jesus? Read The Word to find out!

          • John D. Horton

Who compiled the New Testament?: The Catholic Church.

Christianity is not like Islam which claims that the Koran exists in outer space (Heaven?) on golden tablets (just like the Mormons) and that the Angel Gabriel recited the Koran in Mohammad’s ear who repeated what he heard to a scribe.

          • Josara Dezmen

Who wrote the NT? Men, inspired of God. A true believer is a part of The Church, not a building, nor a denomination, but people, indwelt by The Holy Spirit! So, by definition in Scripture, a born again believer in what Christ did at the cross is what constitutes a Christian, not membership in a building built by man. That is the fallacy of RC! As well, traditions which have no remote basis in Scripture! We cannot fight an evil system like Islam in human strength, but in God’s, through Jesus Christ!

          • John D. Horton

Okay, let’s try and get the fairy tales of Protestantism under control:

            — Religions go “big time and main stream” when empires (i.e. the secular rulers) get behind them and give the order to the common people (i.e. the peasants): “Here is your new God. Now worship him or I will cut your head off for an act of treason against the secular state.”

            — Christianity, i.e. the Roman Catholic Church, went big time because the Roman Empire, through the Emperor Constantine declared that the Roman Catholic Church would be the official religion of the Roman Empire beginning with the Edict of Milan (313 AD) and then finally the Edict of Thessalonica (380 AD).

            — Therefore, without the Roman Empire getting behind the Catholic Church, Christianity would just be an insignificant sect of Judaism which currently constitutes 0.2% of the world’s population (i.e. all Jews constitute 0.2% of the world’s population which is 7 billion). It was not Judaism which made Christianity big. It was not Christianity which made Christianity big. It was the secular Roman Empire which encouraged and then imposed Christianity / the Roman Catholic Church on the empire which made Christianity / the Roman Catholic Church big.

          • Josara Dezmen

Christianity is not to be “imposed” on anyone, which brings us to the similarity between RC and Islam. Inquisition, anyone? Forced conversions on penalty of death, anyone? In the first 300 years, Christianity was spread through true followers witnessing to others, and people choosing to give their hearts to The Lord. That is the way to true conversion, not by the sword. The only thing Constantine did was establish “Emperor Worship” which is what the Papacy is! And if you live in the US, you can thank “Protestantism” for this nation, and our Constitution. The main reason the Founders rejected a state-church was their understanding of RC oppression in Europe!

          • John D. Horton

“The main reason the Founders rejected a state-church…”.

Was because the USA national government did not want to interfere with the colonial governments (i.e. the 13 “colonies”) sponsored religions which each colony had “established”:

            — The colonies of Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay, Connecticut, New Haven, and New Hampshire were founded by Puritan Calvinist Protestants, and had Congregational established churches.

            — The colonies of New York, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia maintained the Church of England as the established church.

            — The Colony of Maryland was founded by a charter granted in 1632 to George Calvert, secretary of state to Charles I, and his son Cecil, both recent converts to Roman Catholicism. Under their leadership many English Catholic gentry families settled in Maryland. However, the colonial government was officially neutral in religious affairs, granting toleration to all Christian groups and enjoining them to avoid actions which antagonized the others.

            — The Province of Pennsylvania was founded by Quakers, but the colony never had an established church.

            — The Province of New Jersey, without official religion, had a significant Quaker lobby, but Calvinists of all types also had a presence.

            — Delaware Colony had no established church, but was contested between Catholics and Quakers.

            — The Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, founded by religious dissenters forced to flee the Massachusetts Bay colony, is widely regarded as the first polity to grant religious freedom to all its citizens, although Catholics were barred intermittently. Baptists, Seekers/Quakers and Jews made this colony their home. The King Charles Charter of 1663 guaranteed “full liberty in religious concernments”.

          • Josara Dezmen

I understand each colony had their own preference for worship, but as a whole, there was to be no imposition of religious practice. Thus, the 1st Amendment. Catholics were not generally welcome in the government. They did have their own, as you mentioned. The reason was the fear of the Papacy, which was even expressed in the Kennedy election. Anyway, I leave you with all your knowledge, and urge you to look at the real history of the Vatican.

    • Josara Dezmen

You started out so well with Isaiah in The Word, and then end with a ridiculous suggestion! The rosary, Mary, or at least the false Mary in Catholicism, cannot do anything! She is a creation, not The Creator! Worship and pray to the Creator, not a created being, which cannot be Omnipresent to hear all the babbling sent her way! As well, she cannot be everywhere at one time, even if she could come back to earth and manifest herself, so how is it “she” is appearing in so many places? If she could, she would be as God! I fear that is exactly what the RC church believes, which makes me cring, as many of my loved ones are catholic!

      • Robert Half

So without Mary, would we have had Jesus? Without Mary, would we have had the miracle at the wedding in Cana which kick started Jesus’s Mission? If you insult Mary, are you honoring (a) Jesus Her Son, (b) God Her Father, and (c) the Holy Ghost Her Spouse? How do you think the Trinity Who chose Her for the Purpose of being the Immaculate Conception as a fitting vessel for Jesus’s first 9 months, would feel about your “theology?”

        • Robert Half

Militarily, we can look to Charles Martel and the Battle of Tours in 732 (soon after Mohammed instituted the chaotic internecine carnage of Islam) to witness to one of the first episodes of Catholic power to repel the hegemony of Islam.
Then we can turn to La Reconquista of El Cid, Queen Isabella and King Philip to see how the Catholic armies put to flight finally the encroachment of Islam into the Iberian peninsula.
Next we can take a look at the Crusades, which liberals everywhere use to take the Catholic Church to task for upsetting the status quo of the Middle East. One Dr. Bill Warner puts that fallacy to rest with an exacting analysis of what happened to cause the Crusades. Visit for an education.
Shall we ignore the miraculous naval battle of Lepanto in which the Papal naval forces were visited by a favorable change of wind after Pope Pius V and the entire Vatican religious and laity were praying the Rosary in order to affect a victory. And a victory was had in spades. The Ottoman navy was rendered useless and Christian dominance was finally achieved in the Mediterranean.
“The Holy League credited the victory to the Virgin Mary, whose intercession with God they had implored for victory through the use of the Rosary. Andrea Doria had kept a copy of the miraculous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe given to him by King Philip II of Spain in his ship’s state room. Pope Pius V instituted a new Catholic feast day of Our Lady of Victory to commemorate the battle, which is now celebrated by the Catholic Church as the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.”
How about the Gates of Vienna? Were there any PROTESTant or ATHEIST forces in play? In any of these actions? Gee, why not? And did not the Pasha who assaulted Vienna wish to merely take that city as a prize? Errmm … no, his goal and professed aspiration was to push through to the Vatican after taking Vienna and making a Muslim mosque out of St. Peter’s Basilica. The Polish Catholic cavalry put an end to his plans, his own men beheaded him and sent the cranium back to their leader in a bag.

Okay, there’s the historic record. What does this say about the Mother of God, Mary Most Holy?

2:1. And the third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there.

2:2. And Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage.

2:3. And the wine failing, the mother of Jesus saith to him: They have no wine.

2:4. And Jesus saith to her: Woman, what is that to me and to thee? My hour is not yet come.

What is that to me, etc… These words of our Saviour, spoken to his mother, have been understood by some commentators as harsh, they not considering the next following verse: Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye, which plainly shows that his mother knew of the miracle that he was to perform, and that it was at her request he wrought it; besides the manner of speaking the words as to the tone, and the countenance shown at the same time, which could only be known to those who were present, or from what had followed: for words indicating anger in one tone of voice, would be understood quite the reverse in another.

2:5. His mother saith to the waiters: Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye.

2:6. Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three measures apiece.

2:7. Jesus saith to them: Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

2:8. And Jesus saith to them: Draw out now and carry to the chief steward of the feast. And they carried it.

2:9. And when the chief steward had tasted the water made wine and knew not whence it was, but the waiters knew who had drawn the water: the chief steward calleth the bridegroom,

2:10. And saith to him: Every man at first setteth forth good wine, and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse. But thou hast kept the good wine until now.

2:11. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee and manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.

        • Josara Dezmen

I am saying the RC church has made her into something she is not. Of course The Most High can do whatever He wants to. However, He uses all of us in our lives to touch others. Salvation, however, has come through The Son, and why would He have needed to come and die for us if Mary could be used? Seems His life, death, resurrection is pointless as Mary could be the “redemptress”, as Pope John Paul wanted to designate her! Jesus needs no other to fulfill His Purpose for mankind! RC diminishes His Power and Sacrifice by saying that Jesus needs others to answer prayers, perform miracles, and reveal His Purpose for individuals! The Mary of RC is “another Mary”, not the Biblical Mary. That is what I believe, and Mary would grieve about the position she has been wrongly given by the Vatican! Finally, to state that she is the “mother of God”, is an absurdity. God has no mother, as he is The Creator! Yes, Mary was impregnated by The Holy Spirit, and gave birth to the manchild, but as Jesus was fully God and fully man, she was the mother of the man, not the God!! Hope that helps you out. Read the Bible and find only a hand full of references about her….and Jesus always referred to her as “woman”, not “mother”.

And I’m saying you misconstrue what the Church teaches about Mary. You, a PROTESTant, by virtue of the root meaning of that term, believe only what other pride-filled predecessors of your ilk have TOLD you what the Church teaches about Mary.

Do you comprehend the distinction between “veneration” and “worship”?

If you had access to the entire host of Heaven to pray for you, would you settle for the lies and innuendos and subtle deceit of the evil one, so that you merely depend upon sinful mortals’ prayers for you?

Give me the Saints in Heaven for my support. Christ said to build treasure in heaven not on earth. The Great Communion which exists in the Saints’ worship of the Almighty is more easily accessed by appeals to those souls found faultless, rather than we who remain fully vulnerable to the deceit of an enemy so cunning and experienced that, without the Sacraments of the Church, no defense is possible.

The complete disarray of the theological notions of mere men like Luther, who took it upon himself, 1,100 years after the Church defined the canon of the Bible in 382 at the Council of Rome, to unilaterally delete 7 books of the Bible that contradicted his heresies of sola scriptura and sola fede, should be evidence enough for the failure of the entire PROTESTant division, but no. Pride precludes your seeing it.

And you and other like minded souls, believing the vacuous promise that you can be both Pope and Magisterium yourself, bought it hook, line and sinker.

The exact same temptation the devil told Eve in the Garden. And you can’t see it.

            PRAY THE ROSARY.

“Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Tim 4:2-4. “For there is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the Man, Christ Jesus.” 1 Tim 2: 5. I choose to pray to the One who created Mary and others, rather than pray to anyone who cannot hear me. As far as sainthood, the Bible references living humans as saints, not just dead ones. I may not be perfected yet, but I am considered a saint by Christ!

And if She is the Daughter of the Most High, why do you believe He cannot do with Her as He pleases, including sending Her to wherever whenever He wishes? Do you wish to hamstring the Most High for his angels and holy creatures? Remember that nothing is impossible for God.
