Tonight’s Friday night music selection, MacArthur Park, is inspired by CNN’s firing of the repulsive creep, Reza Aslan.
Aslan’s cake is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Reza left the cake out in the rain
I don’t think that he can take it
‘Cause it took so long to bake it
And he’ll never have that recipe again
Everybody dance now!
Sing it, Donna!
Donna Summer should be dancing on Aslan’s proverbial grave, seeing as how she died from “toxic dust from 9/11.” Friends claimed she was convinced she had been a victim of 9/11 — developing the cancer that killed her after inhaling the toxic dust-filled air that blanketed lower Manhattan for days after the destruction of the World Trade Center. The singer had been living in New York at the time of the terror outrage, in an apartment close to the Twin Towers.
As with so many others caught near the eye of the storm, Summer admitted later she had been deeply affected by the devastation of a day that claimed 3,000 lives. ‘I was freaked out,’ she said. ‘I couldn’t go out, didn’t want to talk to anybody. I kept the blinds down and stayed in my bedroom.’ She went on: ‘I went to church and light came back into my soul.’ (here)
