French election: Le Pen pledges to suspend immigration

This might put her over the top — if the French have any sense left. Although with a Muslim population of 10%, it may very well be too late.

French election: Le Pen pledges to suspend immigration

BBC, 18 April 2017:

One of the frontrunners in the French presidential election, far-right leader Marine Le Pen, says she would suspend all legal immigration to France.

The National Front (FN) leader told a rally that she wanted to stop “a mad, uncontrolled situation”.

Polls suggest she is neck and neck with centrist Emmanuel Macron, ahead of Sunday’s first round of voting.

Mr Macron warned voters that choosing far-left candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon would be like Cuba without the sun.

Opinion polls predict that Mr Macron and Ms Le Pen will reach the second round on 7 May. But it looks like a very tight race.

According to an Elabe poll for news channel BFMTV, Mr Macron is on course to get 24% of the vote in the first round, Marine Le Pen 23%, conservative Francois Fillon 19.5% and Mr Mélenchon 18%.

Polls suggest that Mr Macron would be favourite to win in the run-off.

At a rally in Paris, Ms Le Pen said “I would decide on a moratorium on all legal immigration to stop this frenzy, this uncontrolled situation that is dragging us down”.

After that, she said, France would introduce “much more drastic, more reasonable, more humane, more manageable rules” on immigration.

Left-wing daily Liberation called it “one of the most hardline speeches of her campaign”, aimed at satisfying grassroots supporters.

In all, 11 candidates are competing in the first round.

About a third of French voters are still undecided, opinion polls suggest, making it one of the most unpredictable elections in decades.

Mr Fillon has been regaining some ground, polls suggest, despite being embroiled in corruption allegations.

Mr Mélenchon chose a barge on a Paris canal to rally his supporters and was set to use a hologram of himself to appear at several events across the country at once on Tuesday

Ms Le Pen said the choice for French voters was between her rivals’ “savage globalisation” and her patriotism.

Outside the venue, dozens of protesters, who had sought to disrupt her rally, clashed with police.

Meanwhile, Mr Macron addressed almost 20,000 supporters at the Bercy national indoor arena.

“We are going to turn the page on the last 20 years because our generation is ready for change,” he said.

On the issue of France’s role in the EU, he said: “We need Europe, so we will remake it. I will be the president of the awakening of our European ambitions.”

Mr Macron, a former investment banker running for his self-created En Marche (On the move) party, turned his fire on his opponents.

Ten of the 11 candidates wanted to take France back to a “fantasy of the past”. For some, in a clear reference to Jean-Luc Mélenchon, it would be “Cuba without the sun, or Venezuela without the oil”.

Speaking from his campaign barge, Mr Mélenchon told his cheering supporters: “Here you are on an Easter Monday listening to a guy on a boat. There’s something in the air!”

Mr Mélenchon’s ratings are thought to have been buoyed by recent televised debates.

He promises to renegotiate EU treaties, pull out of Nato and end austerity in favour of a big stimulus package.

Western Europe is lost. The Mohammedans are going to outbreed the native population, and turn it into a shlthole. Then they are going to look at the East, including Russia. They will have nuclear weapons from England and France, and they will not be afraid to use them.

It’s laughable that people want to import them into our country and into the West.

We can no longer afford to “split the pot” with everyone who wants a piece, especially with “refugees” from the Middle East. It’s too risky. America is struggling enough as it is. Most of us are making below living wage and just had our health insurance forcefully taken away. My healthcare is up to $520 per month; compare this to my $25 per month car insurance (from Insurance Panda) or my $10/month renters insurance. Both private enterprise (take note, Dems). Do we really want our tax dollars aiding these terrorists?

If I were President Trump. I would call for a summit with Russia and the Eastern European countries to work on nipping this problem in the bud. I think Putin realizes the Mohammedan invasion is a long term threat.

      Panda insurance again?

Unreal how expensive health care is in the USA.
How the !@#$ do you make any money.
I believe its even more expensive to live in USA than Canada

The problem in most Western countries, and France in particular, is one of short-sightedness. Most people are aware of migration problems but so long as they are not directly affected by the situation (as those in the big cities are), they go about their daily lives in blissful ignorance. It’s somebody else’s problem.

This is how ruthless dictators arise. When the societal problems become acute and finally reach everyone and can no longer be ignored it’s too late. A dictator is now required to solve the problem. Violence and bloodshed are soon to follow.

That the French are not flocking to Le Pen in massive numbers shows that France is indeed following this path.

Many with short memory of the terrorist acts in France and other countries and belueve it will not happem to them.

    • Ain’t gonna end peacefully

Our problem in the US is the abject idiocy of the population including all leftists, many establishment Republicans, etc. Dumbed down by unionized goobermint screwools. I doubt this problem can be solved peacefully. Even when we elect R’s in all 3 branches we get nothing for the effort. It leaves little option other than some kind of violent overthrow. The left has started their overthrow with all their rioting, protesting, bawling and squalling, illegal judge actions, filibusters, shooting cops (BLM), etc. Our side hasn’t done anything yet.

      • Janet

And the left calls Republicans and Conservatives the fascists? That’s how stupid and ignorant they are!

This article must disturb every person who reads it. And it must be read by everyone –

You don’t need to be an Arab to be a Muslim, but many seem to be abandoning their customs and traditions.
I have said it many times: as the Malays become more Muslim, they become less Malay. They are discarding almost everything that they perceive as positing “Malayness” and embraced what they believe to be “Islamic”. The entire culture (with a big “C”) is being challenged.
Something definitely is not right: the growing conservatism that comes with it.

france cannot be remade, neither can western europe, they are now beaten into the image and likeness of islam. Al let can be done is damage control, which must be recognized. The stupidity of buying more time to waste “remaking europe” is time bought by islamic interests to further entrench themselves in the foundation of the european union, then rot it out and destroy all traces of the former civilizations they have infested.

this is the only hope of the french. decrease the muslim babies, increase the french babies for 20 years. they should also pay french parents $10,000 US per child per year, create a giant french baby boom. the US should do this too. make being a parent a financially great idea, rather than a burden, and watch the white baby count soar next year

  • Drew the Infidel

The similarity between Le Pen’s campaign tactics and those of President Trump are unmistakable. She has found a connection and a message that appeals to those things about which the voters have had on their minds all along. Someone should write a new book on such successful campaign strategies since Le Pen, Trump & Co. have already written a new chapter for it. There is a new book out which I have started called “Shattered” by Allen and Parnes which details the various failings of the Clinton monumental fiasco, better seen as a handbook on how NOT to conduct a run for office.

Genetic warfare is the ONLY way to stop this madness. Muslim females need to be sterilized to win the war of the womb. Israeli scientists need to step up, otherwise we are doomed. This is a matter of self defense. Sterilize them!!!

    • Dorrie

Moslem females have suffered ENOUGH! Moslem males should all be castrated! THAT would end the problem!

  • Dorrie

France needs to do more than “suspend,” they need to deport all the Mohammedans who in have invaded!

  • RayG1

I predict that the French will botch it again! Socialism has been alive and well in France’s history for a very long time. They have traditionally voted against programs that would end the welfare state./ That’s why Muslims continue to flock to France for a free ride financed by the government.

    • Cai

Financed by the long suffering tax payers – not the government.

  • Merlinever

Suspending immigration is a good idea but it won’t solve France’s Muslim problems. Even if Muslim immigration into France were stopped indefinitely, the Muslim population would continue to grow at an alarming rate; an invasion through the wombs of Muslim women. The Muslims’ fertility rate is EIGHT times that of non-Muslims. Eventually the Muslims would outnumber the indigenous French, and of course when that happens, or probably deven before, the Muslims will take over the country and there will be no more France.
