Times of Israel Lies/Libels Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer

The Times of Israel, a leftist rag known more for its left-wing  yellow journalism than its support of Israel (despite its name), has long blacklisted me and besmirched my work. They smear those of us who speak candidly about jihad terror, and more specifically, the jihad against the Jews. Instead, TOI boot-licks and brown-noses the enemies of our people, our freedom.

Their latest smear against me is particularly egregious. They bald-faced lie/libel. First, calling my tweets against jihad migration “antisemitic.” Then going on to say that my partner at AFDI, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, is the wretched Nazi-lover Richard Spencer, when it is long known my colleague is the preeminent scholar on Islam, the esteemed Robert Spencer.

That is how vicious and evil the Times of Israel is.

Daniel Greenfield in Front Page Magazine unmasks the vicious self-loathing Jews over at the uber-left “Times of Israel.”

Times of Israel Lies About Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer

Daniel Greenfield, FPM, February 17, 2017:

I have a firm policy of not linking to the Times of Israel. Despite its name, the paper is a left-wing anti-Israel smear site. This is another reminder why.

The Times of Israel ran a press release for HIAS, masquerading as an article, by Cathryn J. Prince. The article praised HIAS, an organization in the lucrative trade of resettling “refugees” in America while endangering the Jewish community in this country.

Cathryn J. Prince.cynically attempted to conflate Nazis with Jewish critics of HIAS in paragraphs like this.

“Former imperial wizard of the KKK David Duke and head of the controversial American Freedom Defense Initiative Pamela Geller are among those sending the offensive tweets.”

What does Pamela Geller have in common with David Duke? Nothing. One could more easily class HIAS with Hamas. They both support Muslim migrants coming to America. HIAS official Jennie Rosenn, who is talked up by Cathryn J. Prince in her article, had even signed a letter urging the US to work with a Hamas government.

But then Cathryn J. Prince goes even further.

“After the ADL launched the campaign, people such as Pamela Geller, who is Jewish, started sending arguably anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim tweets. Together with Richard Spencer, Geller directs the American Freedom Defense Initiative, a group the Southern Poverty Law Center has designated as “anti-Muslim.”

Pamela Geller works together with Counterterrorism expert and Islam scholar, Robert Spencer. Richard Spencer is an Alt Right Nazi who has been in the news lately for, among other things, attacking Jews.

The two men have nothing in common.

Did Cathryn J. Prince and her editors at the Times of Israel really not know any better? Or did they think that they could get away with pretending that it was an innocent mistake?

In this environment of Fake News media malfeasance, it’s hard to know.

Thank you, Mr. Greenfield. There is no way they didn’t know. Mr. Spencer and I have been working together for a decade. This was adeliberate smear.

Here are the tweets these kapos are referring to. And by the way, this hashtag campaign is part of the disinformation campaign launched by the uber-left to bring the migration that is plaguing Europe to the US.

What is anti-Semitic about these tweets?

Disgraceful! Amazing how left much of Israeli media is. Jpost represents the so called Palestinians far better than Israelis.

    • tatka150

Yes. That’s why they are where they are.

  • Mahou Shoujo

The lame stream media are always looking for lies as that is the only way they can attract the brain dead readers that buy their garbage and patronize their advertisers. The will never de disposed of, but they can be riddled and mocked as the fools they are.

    • AlgorithmicAnalyst

Quite excellent and concise summation of the issue, which issue I have been struggling with lately.

    • Pathfinder0100

      That’s tellin’ em!!

  • Skip Worther

The article praised HIAS, an organization in the lucrative trade of resettling “refugees” in America while endangering the Jewish community in this country.

The motive for the hit piece seems clear enough to me. You’re bad for business.

Everyone supporting muslims/islam jihadi immigration are funded by saudi/OIC intermediaries/Lobbyists or just plain ignorant nuts.

Media, Dems including Obama, Hillary were on payroll of saudis/OIC in supporting Anti Assad rebels

Left/Liberal Loony Politicians can’t save the country and dumb voters who vote for them deserve it.

Unless more ppl start fighting back like the German resistance is doing

……….it will be very difficult to reverse the damage and take back the country.

Really getting tired of the FAKE news. As if we could trust the media any less than we already do.

  • IzlamIsTyranny

“anti-muslim” they write that as if it’s a bad thing…

    • StandTall

      thumbs up!

  • Drew the Infidel

The Times of Israel tries to use “ant-Muslim” as a form of slander against Pamela. Like the country tune says, “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”

  • Fred

IsraelI Times and NY times are 1 and the same- garbage.

The NY Daily News is another liberal rag. It wasn’t always like that. My grandmother had VJ Day edition- the one that said JAPS GIVE UP.

She would be ready to use today’s Daily News for cat litter if she were still here.

  • Fred

This nation needs more people like Ms. Geller and Mr. Spencer if it is to survive.

Life experience has taught me that when a liberal hates you, that’s a good thing.

    • Mark Steiner

A badge of honor. And a gemstone on a saint’s Crown of Righteousness: II Timothy 4:7-8.

You are a heroine Pamela. I know it’s lonely at the top but we all need you!

  • dhd123

Robert Spencer is a key figure in the counter-jihad movement

Shouldn’t everyone who believes that killing, maiming, blowing up, beheading people who don’t believe in their ideology, be a part of it?

  • Mitchell Felder

Hang tough Pamela. We all greatly admire your courage in opposing these blatant lies.

  • James51213

Refugees have helped build America – But only the refugees with similar values as Americans and who are willing to assimilate into our culture. Muslims do not (and never will) fit into this mold.

” Geller directs the American Freedom Defense Initiative, a group the Southern Poverty Law Center has designated as “anti-Muslim.””
    Should read:
Geller directs the American Freedom Defense Initiative, a group the Southern Poverty Law Center, widely known as a leftist hate group, has broadly smeared as “anti-Muslim” when in fact, it’s anti-Islam — specifically its jihad against the West.

In other words, AFDI is not against the people, but against the ideology, a brutal ideology that produces failed states, miserable ignorant populaces, barbarism, subjugation of women and minorities, and is antithetical to everything the West believes in.
It’s like calling a group fighting against the totalitarian expansionist Nazi ideology “anti-European”.

    • IzlamIsTyranny

LOL, BULLSHIT! I indict nazis for subscribing to a fascist, Jew hating, violent, vile ideology and I’ll indict f’ing muslums for the exact, same thing. It’s not my fault f’ing muslums subscribe to a Jew hating death cult.

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.”… Mt. 5:11
Just sayin’ … if you’re even just looking in the right direction, the Pod People will go for you.

    • Dan Knight

Newsflash: You don’t need to march around with a flaming Cross shouting hellfire and damnation in the name of Geee Zeus In My Pocket Protector to attract the Enemy’s attention.

When they put you up against the edge – you can shout anything you want – and it ain’t gonna matter: Shouting “I’m an atheist” “I’m a Democrat” “I’m with stupid.” – It won’t work.

When you’re up against the edge – wherever you are – getting fired, raped, squirreled, or a wall, or a mass grave, you might as well say, “Viva Cristo Rey!”

Because you’re either with them or you’re not.

      • Dravaa

SO TRUE! (lol “I’m with stupid”!!)
Didn’t work for any of the politically correct killed on 9/11 and today, over a decade and a half later, it still hasn’t worked for any of the victims of Boston, Orlando, San Bernardino, Paris, Nice … They will kill us all, or convert us all – and they don’t much care which. That’s the goal.

      • rh2

Can’t reason with the “Pod People” (to borrow Dan Knight’s wonderful description). The Muzz will kill ’cause that’s what they’re all about: rampant bloodthirst. Kill. Kill, Kill is what makes the demons go into a frenzy!

  • Liatris Spicata

Thank you, Mr. Greenfield. There is no way they didn’t know. Mr. Spencer and I have been working together for a decade. This was adeliberate smear.

I cannot speak to Cathryn Prince’s intent, but I without more information about her, I would not assume malicious intent on her part. Pamela is going way out on a limb in making that assertion. Furthermore, TOI has corrected the error in identifying Mr spencer and, appropriately identified it as a correction:

I think Pamela needs to be more careful about ascribing malice where it may not exist. I suspect the rush to deadline and general intellectual carelessness was more of a reason for the error in identifying Mr. Spencer. The reference to AFDI’s leaders was a minor part of Prince’s article.

Rather more unsettling- and, frankly erroneous in my opinion- is Prince’s reference to AFDI’s leaders as making “anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim tweets”. She did not quote the tweets in question and sloppily echoed the disingenuous SPLC.

    • pamelageller

Really? go to Israel website and search my name. See what they’ve written about me and you will correct your comment.

      • Liatris Spicata

        Wow- I’m impressed!

Your response reminded me of the composer John Cage who once went on a speaking tour with something like six canned responses to any question that might be asked of him. One of his stock responses was something to the effect of, “You wouldn’t have asked that question if you had heard Whosit’s performance of Whatnot in 1958.” Greatly simplified his Q&A sessions.

But I took up your suggestion. Let me note I’m not going to do a thorough search of TOI, but here is what I found. Allow me to note that TOI has an online newspaper, but also provides a venue for bloggers, for whose opinions it disclaims responsibility. Indeed, one of the blog posts, a semi-literate post by Fiyaz Mughal on 18 Dec 2016, was unbalanced in its depiction of you. Beyond that, I found nothing that I considered grossly unfair toward you. If anything, the contrary:

On 3 May 2013, Mike Lumish defended you in a blog post “Pamela Geller Under Attack”. In another blog post, 0j 12 May 2015, Larry Hart warmly supported you after Garland. Wavid Weisberg, i n his TOI blog of 9 May 2015 effectively attacked the NYT for its dissing of you after Garland.

Ted Druch’s blog enry of 15 Jun 2015 was somewhat critical of your enthusiastic embrace of Ayn Rand, but also noted about you, “They always call her anti-Muslim, which she is not. In other words, the resistance to Geller is based on a lot of lies … without the lies, they have no case”. I don’t think you could expect a more vigorous defense apart from hagiography.

On 8 May 2015, TOI posted a neutral article from AP by Meghan Barr, no friend of yours, about Garland. Your followers might find a tidbit of history of interest, as the article noted that after 9/11 I’m like “What’s a blog” Geller recalled, “And he said, ‘Shut up and start writing.”. Yes, the article quoted SPLC and NYT with unflattering references to you, but it also quoted you at some length, allowing you to speak for yourself. It was far from a hatchet job.

One 13 August 2013, there was a neutrally worded article about you testifying over a nixed synagogue appearance in Toronto. And on 10 May 2013, Haviv Gur or TOI repeated some of the standard slurs against you, but also quoted your response to the charges. He also cited your claim that Obama “wants jihad to win” which I happen to think is the kind of statement where you shoot yourself in the foot (much better to say, “Obama’s policies pave the way for jihad to win”).
But OK, on 5 May 2015, your friend Ms. Barr noted that you are “a New Yorker who rails against Islam with such ferocity that one of the nation’s top civil rights groups lists her in its extremist files.” Barr’s article was not balanced, but that is hardly the worst indictment to be made of you. Indeed, it is factually correct and hardly what I would call irresponsible journalism. Nothing like the Daily News in its heyday with a headline “Ford to City: Drop Dead”. Were you there then?

All in all, my review uncovered nothing in TOI that struck me as particularly remarkable about you, so nothing has caused me to question my assessment of Carthryn Prince. You serve neither yourself nor the anti-jihad movement well by making dubious accusations.

    • IzlamIsTyranny

      An apologist for muslum apologists/sympathizers?

      • Liatris Spicata

Utterly banal comment. About what I would expect of you.

        • IzlamIsTyranny

LOL, and who doesn’t appreciate your trivial objections and baseless accusations Mehmet?

      • Mahou Shoujo

Merely a dim bulb, a verbose one at that.

        • Liatris Spicata

Yes, I like to substantiate my claims. I realize that’s a foreign concept to the likes of you.

          • Mahou Shoujo

Ah yes, allow me to introduce you to the concept of circular logic where you say something is substantiated because you substantiate it. How quaint, you have successfully grasped a concept that is older than dirt. Clever lad.

  • Pathfinder0100

AOL is full of bullshit as well as lies!!!!

  • RayG1

There is no “BAN” on Muslim refugees in America. Trump clearly said, and intends, a PAUSE to accepting refugees to get this whole Muslim immigration problem sorted out. Obama left a total mess and it must be rationally and legally sorted out.

  • Atlasshrugs Tells the Truth!

Pamela Geller’s site atlasshrugs tells the real story. I believe atlasshrugs and not the media. The media is concerned about being politically correct and not the truth.

Just like leading up to the Holocaust the people who saw the writing on the wall and tried to tell the world the truth were considered extremists unfortunately those extremists saw the horror that was to come. Too bad we didn’t listen to their warnings.

Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer will not be intimidated or silenced.

The media and newspapers want to suppress the truth but Pamela Geller has the courage and integrity to expose the truth.

  • Jim Fox

Time to end the lie that equates refugees or immigrants with muslims. It is accepted blindly, without question…

  • IzlamIsTyranny

Bar Kochba would’ve known how to deal w/these traitors — and it wouldn’t been with respect for their alternative viewpoints.
