ACLU, Speakers Distance Themselves From UC Berkeley’s Free Speech Week

Muhammad Movie

We’re setting the record straight about our Garland free speech event – and telling the truth about the war on free speech.

It was a day that changed America. And now we’re making a movie to tell the truth about what happened on that day, and why. Hollywood will never tell this story. The media will never tell this story. Our public schools and universities will never teach our children what happened. The truth must be told.

One of the plotters of the attack on our free speech event in Garland, Texas last May is on trial now – and a great deal that wasn’t previously known about the attack is coming out.

The media is still not telling the American people the whole story. They’re still reporting that it was our fault that devout Muslims “with Islamic flags and semi-automatic weapons” tried to slaughter hundreds of people standing up for the First Amendment in Texas at our free speech event. By doing this, the media has given its approval to the death penalty for blasphemy under Islamic law.

The fact is — at Garland, in defense of freedom, we saved lives.

— This jihad cell was planning a Super Bowl bomb plot two years ago.

— This jihad cell had been going to remote areas in the city for target practice early in 2014.

— They began conspiring with ISIS in June 2014 (the Garland attack took place in May 2015).

— One of the members of the trio exchanged more than 100 messages through social media with an overseas terrorist in the days leading up to the attack in Garland, according to FBI Director James Comey.

— “I believe the shooters were motivated by what they thought was the Islamic State, but I’m not sure they were directed by the Islamic State.” What’s the difference? The were conspiring with ISIS regularly days before the attack.

— Abdul Malik Abdul Kareem accessed an Islamic State database of U.S. military service members’ home addresses.

The bottom line is that these devout savages meant to carry out an unspeakable act of jihad.

We are determined to stand for free speech and show that at least some Americans were not ever going to give in to the violent threats Islamic jihadists have issued against those who draw cartoons of Muhammad. Giving in to a bully only encourages more bullying. I made a stand for free speech, and the jihadis failed to stop me.

What was truly shocking, however, was what happened next. Even as I received a death fatwa from ISIS, instead of standing with me for the freedom of speech, the mainstream media and even many towering figures on the right lined up to denounce me. It was no surprise that the likes of Alisyn Camerota of CNN would spar with me in a contentious interview over the propriety of not kowtowing to Sharia blasphemy laws, as she would have me do. It was more surprising that Bill O’Reilly would denounce my event, and even more so that Laura Ingraham would do so. Most surprisingly of all, Donald Trump crudely and rudely censured me for daring to draw Muhammad. All these and other supposed stalwarts of the right showed that they had no idea how seriously free speech is imperiled, and how crucial it is that we stand and defend it now.

My event was smeared as “needlessly provocative,” and I was accused of grandstanding and even inviting the jihad attack. It was the jihadis, not I, who made the cartoons a flash point. If we surrender on that point and stop drawing Muhammad, we’ve established a precedent of surrendering to violent Sharia enforcement, and once established, we will be made to reinforce it again and again.

It’s time to set the record straight: I’ve begun preparing a new documentary on the Garland attacks – a follow-up to my acclaimed 2011 documentary, The Ground Zero Mosque: The Second Wave of the 9/11 Attacks.

This much-needed new documentary won’t just give you the inside story of what happened in Garland and why. It will lay out the full and appalling details of the all-out assault on the freedom of speech that is taking place today – and why this may be the most crucial battleground today in the war for the survival of the United States of America as a free republic.

This documentary will feature new and exclusive interviews with me, Dutch freedom fighter Geert Wilders, who was the keynote speaker at the Garland event, and Muhammad cartoon contest winner Bosch Fawstin. These will reveal events at Garland and its aftermath that have never before been revealed to the public.

The movie will also be packed with seldom-seen news footage and revealing details not only of the Garland event and the jihad killers who wanted to wage jihad there, but also of the many other battlegrounds in the war for free speech that led up to the Garland attack, including the death fatwa issued in 1989 by the Islamic Republic of Iran against Salman Rushdie for his supposed blasphemy in The Satanic Verses; the assassination of Theo Van Gogh by a Muslim on an Amsterdam street in November 2004 for his alleged blasphemy; the Dutch newspaper Jyllands Posten’s cartoons of Muhammad, published in September 2005, which touched off international riots and killings by Muslims – and most disturbing of all, calls in the West for restrictions on the freedom of speech; the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s years-long struggle at the UN to compel the West to criminalize “incitement to religious hatred” (a euphemism for criticism of Islam); and the U.S. under Obama signing on to UNCHR Resolution 16/18, which calls on member states to work to restrict incitement to religious hatred.

We’ll cover lesser-known skirmishes in the war against free speech as well, such as Seattle cartoonist Molly Norris’ “Everybody Draw Muhammad Day” in 2010, after which Norris was forced to go into hiding and change her identity after threats. And we’ll trace out what immediately led up to my Garland event – most notably, the January 2015 massacre of Muhammad cartoonists at the offices of the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine in Paris and the subsequent “Stand with the Prophet” event in Garland, at which Muslim groups gathered in the wake of that massacre not to defend free speech, but to complain about “Islamophobia,” while I led AFDI members and supporters in a protest outside.

garland protest

It was at that AFDI protest in Garland that I conceived the idea of holding the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in the same venue: to show that there were some people who would not submit to (and thereby encourage) violent intimidation and voluntarily accept Sharia blasphemy laws. This film will set all that out, and will also include footage from the event itself, including remarks from me, Wilders, and Fawstin.

Above all, We’ll set out the media firestorm that followed, as well as the attempts to kill me, and explain why the event’s detractors were all missing the point: the freedom of speech doesn’t apply only if you like the message; it applies to everyone. And if it is gone, so is a free society.

A documentary of this scope isn’t easy to make. Will you help us?

The implications of my Garland event are far larger than the event itself. The reaction to our event indicates how advanced the Islamic war on free speech is, and how close the leftist and Islamic supremacist authoritarians are to final victory and the death of free speech.

This film is an attempt to stop them before they achieve final victory. What will America choose? Freedom or submission? The choice is before her now. Please help us make this film. Your donation to the American Freedom Defense Initiative is tax-deductible, and may be the most important donation you will make this year. The darkness is setting in. We’re shining a light. And we need your help.

Yahoo!! One of my cartoons is pictured on poster board of picture above. Not one of the best of mine, just one of 11. Caption reads, ” You must worship this and put them in a habib or We will KILL YOU.” My favorite one of what I made has Mohammad brandishing swords saying, ” Islam is a religion of Piece, it will leave a piece of you here, and a piece of you way over there.” and ISIS soldiers killing pandas saying, We’re ISIS, and we’re on our way to China to stop a prophecy!!!” See if you can pick out which one is mine.

I hope there will finally be some recognition of the other artists that participated in the exhibition. Of course the winning participant is important and his voice deserves to be heard but we all took part in defending America’s freedom in Garland, Texas.

If it weren’t for the numbers of conservatives and libertarians plus 3,000 miles of ocean we’d be over run by the muslim horde.

    • Not necessarily true, Lonnie. With all due respect.. As a matter of fact, we are still living today because there was a peaceful empire long ago called the Ottoman Empire. They were the ones that ruled the world. If they weren’t peaceful, then Islam would’ve been the only religion existing today. Muslims are taught to be merciful and peaceful. It’s all in the Sharia!!!
      :) :) Cheers.

The islamists and sharia blasphemy laws advocators have better chances of winning, because the west has already losing the battle for freedom when the homosexuals are imposing their irrational ideas and laws on the whole society and jail and fine whoever disagree. It´s already happening people who criticize islam or muslims are being fired from their jobs and persecuted.

  • Fred

Let me know when the film comes out. I cant wait to see it.

  • M

Excellent idea! Make a movie I will see it. If it gets into theatres like Dinesh Dsouza’s documentary I’ll pay theatre ticket prices to do so.

Don’t forget Benghazi and how Hitlery lied about the stand down order, the filmmaker, the movie about muslims and so on. That truth has to be told too.

    Amazing, Pamela! Incredibly tremendous.

Provocation? More provocation is necessary, we need to get in their faces and not back down. Say shut up or get out. Your religious beliefs are offensive and not acceptable here. Sharia law is against human rights and will never be used here. Muslims are like spoiled kids in a sweet shop, the more you give them what they ask the more they demand.
US candy store = sweet shop

The great native American chief said, when the white man came to America, he had the bible and we had the land, now we have the bible and the white man has the land. Substitute Muslims for white men, and quran for bible.

Remember the staged “Day of Rage” protest against Danish cartoons:

“The simpleton media, especially the Islam-compromised BBC, obligingly rushed to portray the event as a righteous protest against a blasphemous insult, instead of what it was – a malignant assault on free speech and democracy. Apparently they cannot see through a staged ‘Day of Rage’ to perceive the motive behind it. The criminal violence achieved its end, a drying up of cartoons through self-censorship. The message? Thuggery pays.”

I suggest including the killing by Boston Police of Usaamah Rahim in June of 2015… it never ends…

Good. This film could, if done right, provide an excellent platform to finally start a discussion about the event’s importance in relation to American civil and cultural liberties, about the threat of militant Islamic terrorism itself, and about the very roots of that destructive dynamic.

There’s so much potential to do major repair work on the issue, if the approach in the film is intelligent and balanced. Sadly, but especially after San Bernadino and Paris, people are more open now to hearing about Islam, and what others are doing to effectively combat the threat. The awareness that’s growing over the dishonesty of the press/media, which includes Fox News (once believed by many to be a bastion of conservatism), also should help people be more open to the truth that was withheld from them on this. The record needs to be set straight on this event–and a full-coverage documentary film could be the ticket!

There’s another point that should be considered. We all remember at the time that some important public figures were given horrible and misleading information about the event by media personalities they thought they could trust. In fact, no real coverage of the event was provided to the public or those public figures, apart from the chosen “negative spin” on ANY of the media outlets. The event was smeared and trashed. Dropped like a hot potato and kicked into the gutter. The major media outlets (which are now heavily influenced by Moslem ownership), “killed” any meaningful coverage before it even saw the light of day. The crucial aspects of the event and its greater impact never even became part of the discussion. The details were lost in the false reporting. Unbelievably, all outlets and hosts spoke in unison, with a big load of snark, that: “some crazy lady provocateur–a nobody–way down in some podunk nothing little town in Texas–was being an obnoxious blowhard and putting everyone’s lives at risk for no good reason–just so she could make Moslems feel bad about their religion of peace.”

The media repeatedly hammered this meme in a fashion not unlike what the Palestinian Authority does all around the world, about Israel. In this instance, the level of misinformation being circulated about the Garland event–an international event–was unbridled and wild. VSadly, both average citizens and public figures got caught in the fray, the spin, and the wide net of disinformation. Pamela was rightly scandalized by the media circus.

I thought it was unfortunate, though, that she singled out Donald Trump as the main target for her righteous indignation–because they were ALL doing the same disservice and were ALL misusing their power by falsifying their coverage of the event. They were working overtime to create a generalized movement against speaking against (or drawing) Mohammed. Certain people behind the media did NOT want the facts or people’s opinions brought into the open on the issue.

I’m sure Oamela learned more about how sneaky and vicious these media leaders actually are. By the same token, no doubt Trump has learned quite enough now too, that the media and even so-called media “friends” can’t be trusted–as he’s experienced so much of the same unfair biased treatment himself, about himself, at this point. It’s clear that Trump’s gotten a lot of grief regarding his uncompromising stance against Islamic terrorism and Moslem immigration. So everyone’s now in the same boat in that respect.

I hope the documentary will serve to fulfill the original mission of the event itself, and will thereby set the record straight. The film could definitely provide positive energy and construct a unifying rally point as it analyzes, educates, informs, and warns of the threat of militant Islamic terrorism. People had no idea what the Garland event was addressing because the focus was both carefully hidden from the public and lied about to the public by the media. No one got the message. I also hope that Pamela is not persuaded to use this opportunity to carry on some silly personal grudge against Donald Trump, which would only end up diminishing and discrediting herself and her important work, as well as the event itself.

Focusing on how the media broke the rules of public trust will go a lot farther, because right or wrong, no one likes a sore loser. Win with this one Pamela, and you’ll come out on top.

  • Muhammed Movie Great!

Great idea! I will definitely buy this movie and pay to see it and can’t wait for it to come out and learn everything that happened at Garland that the media tried to hide.

We can’t keep put our heads in the sand. Justice for lovers of free speech!

  • Mahou Shoujo

The lame stream media and associated toadies are useless liars. It is time and there is a place for honesty in todays world. It will come from people like Pamela, not the sultans of lame stream spin.

If you wanna make a documentary about or include facts about Muhammad, this text I wrote should be a good preparation:
Freeing African slaves in Mauritania, new-north Sudan, Saudi Arabia…
Peaceful Muslims don’t make Islam, don’t make Muhammad peaceful nor ethical but secret & Muhammad commanded that war would be deceit.
It’s important for the security of ethics: human rights & ecology to inform about ethics-relating problems so humanity can naturally protect itself from inner corruption & deterioration.
It’s for example important to know to free the African slaves in Mauritania, new north-Sudan, Saudi Arabia & elsewhere that Muhammad was a slaver of Africans, the he proclaimed that his deity colored Africans black so their descendants would be slaves to Arabs & Turks & that he proclaimed that out of the mythological first human being Adam’s left shoulder emerged blacks to perdition while out of his right whites to paradise & that African & slave are exact the same Arabic word (Abeed).
It’s an alarming warning sign proving the fail of governments that this crucial information is left to social media, suppressed or banned, people persecuted, imprisoned, executed instead of being held in high regard as representatives of a global authentically human rights & ecology protecting government.
The discrepancy between what’s moral, ethical & what Muhammad the only leader & founder of Islam did (burning people to death for not praying, crucifying critics of Islam untemporalilly commanding this action, enslaving Africans & others, rape & female genital mutilation untemporalilly commanding it & forced male circumcision, torture, murder of atheists, murder & extortion of Christians & Jews untemporalilly commanding it (Jizya-tax), repeated clear sexual abuse of boys through sucking of their tongues & lips & through “kissing” of boys penises, forced marriage including little girls he turned orphans & females he made widows, letting an innocent woman be torn apart with 2 camels, murder of homosexuals, deception, turning injustice a moral value, aninmal-slaughter through bleeding (Halal), robbing…) & untemporalilly commanded (sadist torture & murder of non-Muslims…) must be addressed by the government & it’s organs as the education system & media to protect humanity’s natural protection from mischief & to prevent dangerous defence mechanism shock-reactions from people indoctrinated, manipulated, convinced into a falsely indoctrinated validity, rightness & justness of the really unjust Islam.
The same goes for example for the pollution of the oceans with plastic & other waste which must be stopped.
Islamic migrants/refugees shouldn’t view themselves as clusters, entities equally measured as mosques but identify themselves as apostates from Islam to human rights the new religion, atheism.
The facts about the figure Muhammad, founder of Islam mentioned above make me think, was Muhammad the inventor of the slavery of Africans & the moral initiator, moral father of the so called “dark ages”?
It is obvious: the whole economic & evolutionary development is corrupted by Muhammad’s anti-African racism.
The Islamic texts are not just incitement to described injustice through sadism but also a deceptive propaganda-tool promoting peaceful parts.
Resist the violent or non-violent Islamization, renounce Muhammad & Islam & join Globalfirm, human rights the new religion.
It is important to have a firm, moral guideline & ambition to improve the law-system. This moral guideline must be based on the ambition to improve human rights & ecology & not Islam.
