Ground Zero Mosque: US Taxpayers to Foot Bill for Daisy the Con’s Mideast trip

41

Frankly, I don't know how much more the American taxpayer is going to take. It's awful enough that the nation is embroiled in a battle to stop an Islamic supremacist mega mosque at Ground Zero.

We found out last week that the State department was funding the radical imam's trip to the Middle East despite the Imam's anti-American and deeply troubling statements, i.e., "we tend to forget, in the West, that the United States
has more Muslim blood on its hands than al Qaida has on its hands of innocent
non Muslims."

Now it's Daisy the con's turn. The American taxpayer is funding her trip to Muslim countries overseas. This on top of news the Ground Zero supremacist mega mosque may get public funding.

Story continues below advertisement

America is broken.

Claudia Rosett reports in Forbes:

Among the prime planners of a $100 million Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero, it's not just Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf who is visiting the Middle East
this summer at U.S. taxpayer expense. The State Department is also
about to send Rauf's wife and Cordoba Initiative fellow director, Daisy
Khan, on her own taxpayer-funded "public diplomacy" trip to the United Arab Emirates.
Khan is scheduled to visit the UAE from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2, overlapping
there with Rauf, for whom it will be the final leg of a three-country
trip including Bahrain and Qatar.

The U.S. Embassy in the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi
has posted on its website an announcement of the impending visit by
this husband-wife team. Rauf and Khan will be there, the announcement
says, "to engage foreign audiences and build people-to-people ties" and
to "discuss their experiences as Muslims living and working in the
United States."

What might their discussions entail? Rauf, since his Cordoba
Initiative's Ground Zero mosque project triggered a national uproar, has
spent the summer as an enigma. Before embarking on his State-sponsored
tour, he walled himself off for weeks in Malaysia, where he has
longstanding ties and keeps an office. His Cordoba website now features a
note that Rauf could not be available (apparently not even by phone) to
explain himself to the people of New York because "he travels the world
in his life-long endeavor to bring the message of moderation, peace and
understanding to both Western and Islamic countries."

In Rauf's
absence, Daisy Khan has been speaking prolifically from New York about
the Cordoba House mega-mosque project (which the developer recently
re-dubbed Park 51, and the Cordoba House is now describing as a
"community center"). Her message, like the name of the project, has been
morphing at speed. When Rauf and Khan won approval for their 15-story
mosque-topped Cordoba House from a Manhattan community board this
spring, they advertised their project as all about doing their part for
harmony and healing near the site of the Sept. 11 attacks.

When it
turned out that a majority of New Yorkers, and Americans generally,
think this project is more like rubbing salt in a wound, Khan shifted
focus. She's now talking about the Cordoba project as a test of American
religious tolerance. If a majority of Americans–cognizant that the
Sept. 11 attacks were carried out by Muslims, in the name of
Islam–think it's inappropriate to stage that test near the edge of
Ground Zero, Khan's retort is that they must be bigots. In an interview
last week with the Washington Post's Sally Quinn, she lamented: "When will Muslims be accepted as plain old Americans?"

On Sunday, interviewed on ABC TV's This Week by Christiane Amanpour, Khan ratcheted up her complaints. Amanpour asked, "Is America Islamophobic?"

I don’t understand this public funding segment. The ACLU made it clear any such funding for any faith is a violation of what they called the “separation of church and state”. I guess they don’t believe in the separation of mosque and state. Yet, I’m call a radical nut for saying Obama is a Muslim. Well, if he isn’t, then he’s the worse Christian in history and even a far worse Atheist.

“Is America Islamophobic”? Whatever can that mean? And I LOVE my (Chrysler)Cordoba. It’s a honey of a ride with its V8 engine, cushy interior and fine Corinthian leather seats. Like driving around town in your own living room.
Rauf and Khan tend to forget that Muslims have more innocent blood on their hands than anyone else in the world.
Not too long ago the mayor of New York was whining that New York coouldn’t afford to keep Fire Houses open. Now Johnny Liu Liu will try to FORCE tax payers to pay for this mosque thing? Baloney!
Khan is no Daisy, no daisy at all

There was an article in “The Washington Times” about the Republicans setting up investigations of what the Dems have done thus far. Rep. Issa and Smith of Texas should be asked about investigating the State Department along with that planned of Treasury and bailouts and the DOJ about the Black Panthers. All of what is happening must be investigated, including Bloomberg. It is, now, obvious that Bloomberg is catering-ne bowing- to the Muslims, because of his corporation’s activities in the Middle Eastern Muslim countries.
There has to be included in the investigation of Rauf, etc. the derivation of Obama’s policies and programs, his and the military’s neglect of our security at the border, the trial in NY for KSM, the of the USS Cole, the Alliance of Civilizations, and the entire outreach program with the Muslims that is superceding all other considerations. I really believe,
Obama is delivering us up to the Caliphate.

In other news …..
Have you noticed how frequently recently the MSM’s newspapers and TV networks have been launching and looping coordinated efforts to get people to refocus on Hurricane Katrina’s impact on New Orleans as a cutesy means to deflect attention away from the Obama Administration’s failure to properly address that massive oil leak in the gulf?
That sleazy ploy is just the beginning. In collusion with Democratic Party leaders, members of the MSM are about to engage in a huge, all-out campaign of sleaze and deception and revisionist history to try to keep the Democrats in the majority in Congress. Watch: They will soon be telling lies so outrageous that they will be mind-bogging.
Atlas Shrugs will be able to devote a daily thread just to monitoring the [coordinated] lies and revisionist histories and talking points that the MSM tells to save the asses of Democrats. And just when you thought that they couldn’t become anymore despicable.

You call others liars, and you tell a whopper by omission…It’s Sunni and Shia that are blowing up hundreds of people a week, not the US military…You are the liar…This will continue and the numbers will climb especially after the US leaves or stays out of combat…How will you explain that?

Actually, the ACLU may believe that it can’t win such a case, because they don’t know if they can get “taxpayer standing” granted. That’s for a Constitutional law firm better versed in taxpayer standing to tackle.

The reason I oppose this is because Daisy Khan is not a federal government employee or a contractor working for the federal government.
I wonder though if a conservative area may respond by informing the President that in response, they will not give him the motorcade treatment.

Armies fighting terrorists and terrorist regimes are under no obligation to maintain a symmetry of damage or a symmetry in the number of victims. Indeed it would be impossible to conduct a war against terrorists if this were a requirement. A high number of civilian casualties is only to be expected when the enemy entrenches itself in the heart of civilian population as a matter of strategy, knowing that its enemies’ values will cause him to restrain his military response in order to minimize the number of innocent victims.
Intention here matters rather than body counts: Al Qaida targets civilians, the more the better, while the US aims at military targets.

Had islam, al quida whatever, not started a war with western societies, the body count wouldn’t even be an issue. If in fact the US has killed more muslims since 911, that means the US military is doing its job. If you don’t want problems, then maybe its best not to start wars.

‘Canton Man Wins Flagpole Lawsuit’ …
… The 16-foot tall fixture hasn’t flown well with the Bridgemill Homeowners Association. “I got a letter saying, ‘Take your flag down. You can put it in your backyard’ and I just refused to do it,” (said) Tripodo. Tripodo’s HOA then filed a lawsuit and called the flagpole an obstruction. The homeowner’s association sued Tripodo for $25 each day the flag flew in the front yard. The fees now total $32,000. This week, a year and a half after the flag flap started, a Cherokee County judge agreed with Tripodo and denied the suit.

The ACLU DOESN’T WANT to win “such a case”,therefore they come out with that “Taxpayer Standing” NONSENSE.
When the ACLU wants to go to bat for THE LEFT,they manage to find “Standing”.
Though I’m not a Lawyer,my experiences lead me to believe that Any individual New York Taxpayer should have the “standing”,and ALL New York Taxpayers should have “Standing” for a “Class Action Suit” opposing Public Financing of the GZM.

In an interview last week with the Washington Post’s Sally Quinn, she lamented: “When will Muslims be accepted as plain old Americans?”
The day I accept them as plain old Americans is when they drop the Caliphate crap and discontinue promoting global domination. Until then, suspect all muslims as being muslim first. Up to them to prove otherwise, as public opinion is not a courthouse.

“Innocent civilians” who aid terrorist combatants are not so innocent. I imagine, since they are Muslim also, many willingly help the combatants, go to the same mosque, and are friends. Same as we American civilians are friends with our military, help them, and pay their bills. The liberal media uses phrases like this to deceive, and weaken us through condemnation. They are also not “innocent”, and are our enemy. Propaganda division.

I’ve noticed. Granted, it’s the five year “anniversary” since Hurricane Katrina and Katrina was the most devastating natural disaster in America in recent years, but still…since when did the lamestream media focus so much attention and devote so much air time to remembering natural disasters? Hurricane History states that Katrina “is the deadliest hurricane to strike the United States since the Palm Beach-Lake Okeechobee hurricane of September 1928,” but I don’t recall any air time devoted to remembering the 1928 hurricane, or any of the many hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc., since or before then, either. http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/HAW2/english/history.shtml#okee Like you, I recognized the dedicated air time to remembering Katrina to be exactly what it is: a diversion of the best kind because it manages to continue to blame Bush and, by association, the GOP, just in time for the mid-term election season. (Funny how when you’re on to them, the lamestream media doesn’t seem to be sly or cunning anymore.)

It was/is a war, meaning they were fighting back with the attempt to kill. They chose to fight over the other option, which was to surrender and allow inspectors in to look for the WMD, which, by the way, their leader, Sadam Hussein, boasted about having.
In case you’re too dense to understand what that means, and you may very well be that dense, here it is in simple words: Those who died fighting against the US, British, Australian soldiers were not innocent and therefore their deaths in combat were not “innocent lives taken.” In fact, they were even less than just “not innocent;” that the Iraqi military used Iraqi civilians as human shields, thus causing the loss of lives of their own non-military citizenry, is proof that they were evil.
Now, there’s some truth for you, lying lefturd. Is the pain you’re now feeling bearable?

And when Muslim women stop demanding that the DPS allow them to wear the full hijab with eye-hole cutouts for their drivers license photo. And they stop demanding special treatment at work. And they stop demanding special accommodations in public places (footbaths, etc.). In short, when they decide to assimilate and live like “plain old Americans” in public then they will be accepted as plain old Americans.

That’s where we differ.Any New York City Taxpayer(re: muninicipal funds)and any New York State Taxpayer if any State funds are involved should have the Legal Standing.
If this doesn’t scream for a CLASS ACTION Lawsuit in a time of Governmental Financial Crisis on ALL LEVELS ,Nationally, than WHAT Would?
Also anything beyond any Real-Estate Property Tax Exemptions available universally for ALL Religious Properties, regardless of which Religion, would be UNCONSTITUTIONAL Governmental Assistance to Religion, and ONLY ONE PARTICULAR Religion ,giving it the STATUS of a State PREFERRED Religion.
THAT CANNOT HAPPEN!
Hopefully somebody in NYC will go to Court and ask for an EMERGENCY INJUNCTION stopping Liu from taking action to actually do it.

I bet things like these trips have been sponsored by the tax payers for quite a while. Who would know? The liberal ” diversity ” loving press would never report on it. The more the politicians like Clinton and yes even Bush kiss up to the muslims the more money they get from the Saudis. Obama loves it because he’s getting handsomely paid and he is a muslim. Obama is getting a double treat. The only ones to get the screwgie are the American people.
