The Nation: DNC Hack Was ‘Inside Job,’ Not by Russia

57

The Nation, a magazine for the progressive crowd, conducted a thorough investigation of all the supposed facts surrounding the whole leftist talking point about Russia hacking the election and President Donald Trump colluding with Vladimir Putin, and concluded: There’s really nothing there to support that.

You know it’s time to leave behind your Democratic talking points about how evil President Donald Trump is when even the far left rag, The Nation, sides with Republicans.

Oops — sorry Dems. You’re going to have to go back to the drawing board and find a new way to impeach or take down President Donald Trump. Apparently, that whole Russians-hacked-the-election thing that’s been fueling the left’s frenzy for months is crumbling.

What a shocker this must be to the likes of Rep. Maxine Waters, California Democrat, who’s been calling for Trump’s impeachment since the days before he even took office, based on baseless claims of Team Trump-Russia collusion.

Story continues below advertisement

But here’s more of the story, as told by Newsmax:

The Democratic National Committee was not hacked by Russia — nor by anyone else — but instead was “an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system,” according to a report in The Nation.

“There was no hack of the Democratic National Committee’s system on July 5 last year — not by the Russians, not by anyone else,” according to the Nation’s report, referencing conclusions by a group of former NSA computer experts.

“Hard science now demonstrates it was a leak — a download executed locally with a memory key or a similarly portable data-storage device.

“In short, it was an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system,” the experts concluded, since a remote hack of the committee’s servers — with the volume of data stolen — would have been technologically impossible.

“This casts serious doubt on the initial ‘hack,’ as alleged, that led to the very consequential publication of a large store of documents on WikiLeaks last summer,” the experts concluded.

In addition, the experts found forensic evidence proving the initial documents published by the hacker Guccifer 2.0 were forgeries intended to finger Moscow.

“Forensic investigations of documents made public two weeks prior to the July 5 leak by the person or entity known as Guccifer 2.0 show that they were fraudulent,” the experts said.

“Before Guccifer posted them, they were adulterated by cutting and pasting them into a blank template that had Russian as its default language.

“Guccifer took responsibility on June 15 for an intrusion the DNC reported on June 14 and professed to be a WikiLeaks source — claims essential to the official narrative implicating Russia in what was soon cast as an extensive hacking operation.

The team’s final finding?

Experts concluded: “Forensic science now devastates this narrative.”

It really doesn’t get any clearer than that.

Again, from Newsmax:

“The Nation’s report, published Wednesday, details the extensive findings by “qualified experts working independently of one another.”

They began working on the DNC case “immediately after the July 2016 events,” according to the report.

These experts are part of a group called the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS), established in 2003 to investigate claims by the George W. Bush administration that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.

The group now has 30 members, most of whom have “decades of experience in matters concerning Russian intelligence and the related technologies,” the Nation reported.

In its findings, VIPS determined the NSA had the technical ability to find out exactly what happened because the agency’s publicly known programs can capture all electronic data transfers.

“If NSA cannot produce such evidence — and quickly — this would probably mean it does not have any,” the report concluded.

Besides addressing the technological issues surrounding the DNC breach and the Guccifer 2.0 drop, the VIPS report debunks a chronology of events surrounding the hack that led Democrats to finger WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as a Moscow operative in the breach.

It includes the June 12 warning from Assange it would publish hacked documents on Democrat Hillary Clinton’s campaign to Guccifer 2.0’s second claim, July 5, that he had remotely breached the DNC servers.

“With his June 12 announcement,” the Nation’s observed, “Assange effectively put the DNC on notice that it had a little time, probably not much, to act preemptively against the imminent publication of damaging documents.

“Did the DNC quickly conjure Guccifer from thin air to create a cyber-saboteur whose fingers point to Russia?” the magazine asked.

“There is no evidence of this one way or the other, but emphatically it is legitimate to pose the question in the context of the VIPS chronology.

“WikiLeaks began publishing on July 22,” the Nation reported.

“By that time, the case alleging Russian interference in the 2016 elections process was taking firm root.

“In short order,” the magazine reported, “Assange would be written down as a ‘Russian agent.'”

Curiouser and curiouser- so much so that I am beginning to like this story. Now that the Russians are absolved (from this particular act- I wouldn’t want to generalize too much), who dunnit? And why? It would be such fun to see this blow up in the Democraps collective face.

Rich – who worked in the voter analysis division of the DNC and was brutally murdered on July 10, 2016, on a street near his Washington home – was an inside source who leaked party insider emails to WikiLeaks during the 2016 presidential race.

The suspicious deaths of Seth Rich and Shawn Lucas, deaths which many believe were prompted by the DNC to avoid exposing corruption within the organization. A number of other recent developments have added to suspicions against the DNC.

So, now that it’s come out, Russia had nothing to do with the hacking, shouldn’t the special investigator Mueller be packing his bags and leaving town? Oh, that’s right. He’s staying on because Trump might have J-walked in 1970. Stay tuned for that massive cluster fu*k investigation to ensue

Seems Trump has some rather massive ties to the Russian underworld, including Papa Vlad himself. Money laundering, loans to keep Trump afloat in a sea of red ink, and even introductions to multi-billionaires behind the Russian government.

Not can, but will. Seems he has ruined his credit in the US, and thus is forced to seek financing wherever it may be found. The bad part of that is much of his financing comes from far less than legal sources.

To deal with China you step gently and plan a hundred years down the road. Trump is incapable of planning a hundred minutes down the road, let alone the hundred years rule that China plays by. When it comes to North Korea, we have two megalomaniacs playing with nuclear weapons, which is NOT going to end well if we can’t control the one on our end.

CO2 is plants food. It is NOT a polluant.

The pact would send all industries to China; killing everything while China emits more and more CO2.

Too much CO2 is also a heat release inhibitor, keeping more solar heat from escaping back into space. Oh, and while small amounts are necesary for human life, plants can stand a LOT more of it than humans can.

Not so much the amounts as the sources. Did he rake in ten billion from a deal with Russia, only to write it down in real estate losses that may or may not have actually affected his bottom line? How much did he borrow from China, as well? We KNOW he can’t borrow a penny anywhere in the US, yet he keeps on wheeling and dealing on someone’s dime other than his own.

If the IRS has not leveled any charges of wrongdoing against Trump, why are you worried about it. NOT ONE agency, IRS, Justice Dept.,has come forth with allegations that Trump has broken the law, nor has any other evidence surfaced to suggest he broke the law. And yet, you seem to think his “crimes” are greater than Hillary’s or Obama’s?

In their book, “Shattered”, detailing Hillary’s monumental loss of the ’16 presidential election, Allen and Parmes state that the Russian influence yarn was something the DNC dreamed up within the first 24 hours afterward. Here is a fair question: Given the massive leaks in DC, does anyone in their right mind believe the Russian angle would still be a secret at this late date if it was valid?

It is helpful to remember the DNC would not allow the FBI to examine their computers for evidence of Russian shenanigans.

And just recently the young and up an coming federal prosecutor investigating visa and passport fraud in Wasserman-Schulz and DNC’s district “reportedly” committed suicide by shooting himself in the head. It’s not over yet! He supposedly left a suicide note…Please try to guess where. His apartment?, his suit pocket?, his car? No,No,No. On Wasserman-Schultz’s COMPUTER!!! To top it off, Police searched all around and everywhere for 2 blocks. NO GUN WAS FOUND!!! It’s all sounding a bit Clintonesque, HUH?

Why is it that writers and politicians are so slow to think in terms of technical questions like: How exactly step-by-step did this result get started and executed. Surprise! What sounds plausible and therefore maybe provable finally yields to the technical approach that not only unravels miles of paper printed with incorrect stories, it leaves just a little doubt in the minds of all but fine ladies lie Rep Waters. Her only problem is that her mind is only working to accept input that triggers a data dump of memory cells that drive her mouth into torrents of words that seem to fit the task of telling the choir what to sing together! That being their task, they do it.

But do we have to listen? Its exciting and those selling soap thank you for listening; those that buy votes are happy to reward the listening and win over dutiful voters. Not all, but more than 50% and that is what democracy is mostly about unfortunately. It really takes a lot more to keep freedom and enjoy liberty from those that survive without change.

I could give the benefit of the doubt to the intelligence agencies on this hacking if

1) the intelligence community told us “we have evidence, we cannot tell which because it would show too much info about the methods” AT THE VERY BEGINNING
2) the NSA was the source of the info; the NSA must be the agency with the most confidence in the findings; lower confidence in any finding related to remote computer hacking by the NSA is a giver
3) the other agencies would not even have access to the NSA evidence (too much people in these agencies, probably hundreds of Russians, Saudis, Iranians)
4) the FBI did everything to collect as much evidence as possible
