The man who desecrated up to 70 graves, including those of children and babies, has escaped jail time despite showing no remorse.
Nassem Raad was charged with recklessly destroying the gravestones at Rookwood Cemetery in Sydney’s west in 2015.
A court heard the 23-year-old showed no remorse for his actions and received a nine-month suspended sentence and fined more than $60,000.
Raad was sacked from his full-time job as a stonemason after his employers learnt of the horrific crime.>

Magistrate Eve Wynhausen told the court Mr Raad had shown ‘no remorse’ and continues to deny causing any of the damage

Teddy bears, trucks and other children’s toys were damaged and littered across the facility, with even religious icons such as cross smashed into pieces. The attack seemed to be targeted, with many of the destroyed resting places belonging to people and children of Greek and Ukrainian backgrounds.
Magistrate Eve Wynhausen told the court Mr Raad had shown ‘no remorse’ and continues to deny causing any of the damage.
Despite being found guilty, Raad told reporters waiting outside court last week that he ‘didn’t do anything’, flanked by friends who aggressively pushed cameramen out of the way as they walked to their car.
Mr Raad will have to pay $63,450 in damages on top of his suspended sentence.
At a previous court appearance, his co-accused – who pleaded not guilty at the time – was confronted by Russian Orthodox men dressed as soldiers.

Yes Michael, I often feel as if I am living in an alternate reality – something like ‘Alice Through the Looking Glass’ where once Alice steps through the looking glass everything is back-to-front. I am heartbreakingly concerned for the future of my and everyone elses’ descendants. We in the West have had some 50-60 of the best years and unless a ‘set’ is grown by the West there is potential of mass misery for those who come after us.

I try to remain positive and optimistic. And … the forces that have been pushing this are everywhere and incredibly powerful, many many decades in the work. They own everything and everybody. Yes, I worry for our future, for the future of the world. I will keep learning, and stay awake, and try to wake people up where I can. We are very well armed here. And the forces against us, here in America, are incredibly powerful. Our military, police — we are in more of a police state At the same time, I make peace with God, give thanks for what we have, what we have had. And hope and trust there is a divine plan unfolding. It sure doesn’t look pretty, what’s coming our way. many people’s lives have already been completely destroyed or disrupted by all that is happening. We are very fortunate to live in America. You can almost certainly find it on YouTube. On CBC tv many years ago, I watched a man who was introduced as Canada’s leading sociologist. One thing he said I’ve never forgotten. He said that most Canadians “don’t believe in anything much anymore”. So now they don’t stand for or against anything anymore. Just pure mush.

50 years ago, when Australia had a strong immigration policy – even British with relatives there had to jump through hoops to get citizenship – and required prospective immigrants to have skills the country needed, or proof that they were financially solvent and not liable to be welfare dependent, it’s highly unlikely that anyone with a name like Nassem Raad (or his descendants) would have been admitted. Nor would his fellow vandal, Mohammed Ibrahim, who is not mentioned in this article.
But along came multiculturalism and the need to “enrich” a too-white, too-Christian society through “diversity” – that is, bringing in thousands from the Third World, with minimal checks to avoid being seen as “racist” or “Islamophobic” (although the term didn’t even exist then).
This thug smashes up children’s graves, but shows no remorse. Is this really to be the Australian citizen of the future? If only it could turn back the clock 50 years…

Have been at one cemetery which has a special section for unborn, aborted babies. These innocent victims were unable to defend themselves when they were executed. You can’t blame him or his mates, they’re just feral pigs. If there’s no deterrent then they’re just going to carry on and get worse. You should be directing your anger at the authorities that enable them to get away with these atrocities, namely the judiciary, the police, and most of all the government. They should be inundated with letters of protest, phone calls, emails and constant protests. Make them do the work you’re all paying them for. If that doesn’t work, then take it into your own hands, you’ll be sure of getting ‘things’ done, and you have no choice.
