John Lindh, the American soldier who was found fighting with the Taliban in Afghanistan — essentially fighting against his own U.S. military members, an outright act of treason — has expressed, from his prison cell, “cautious support” for ISIS.
So much for prison reform. You can take the terrorist out of the field, but not so much the terror out of the terrorism.
Prison, in conflict with what leftist and Muslim apologists will have believed, does not result in Islamic fighters moving more moderate. Rather, the opposite.

In October 2001, nearly a month after the 9/11 attacks, the US invaded Afghanistan. The Americans were surprised to discover a 19-year-old countryman fighting for the Taliban
Dubbed the ‘American Taliban’, the bearded teen John Walker Lindh became ‘Detainee 001’ in America’s war on terror. In October 2016, The New York Times carried an op-ed by Paul Theroux urging the then US president Obama to commute his sentence on compassionate grounds. In an earlier op-ed in the same paper, Lindh’s father compared his son’s actions to Ernest Hemingway’s during the Spanish Civil War…
He later moved to Afghanistan to fight for the Taliban’s vision of sharia before being caught in Kunduz. Lindh, Georgelas and the Islamic State Has Yahya Lindh, as he calls himself now, repented? Graeme Wood, who has spoken to Lindh, writes he has “spent his sentence studying Islam”.
Lindh has expressed cautious support for the IS. “More than a decade in prison appeared to have the same effect on Lindh that 34 months in jail were to have on (US-born IS leader) John Georgelas: not a softening of jihadism but a confirmation of it,” writes Wood in The Way of the Strangers
Most sentences for terror-related cases involving US citizens in the post-9/11 era “are ripening into release just now,” the Foreign Policy magazine’s website quotes a lawyer as saying. “Now it will be up to President Trump to decide one of the trickiest legacies of the war on terrorism: how to treat homegrown terrorists after they’ve served their time,” it adds.
The good news?
President Donald Trump ain’t Barack Obama. First and foremost, Trump is quite willing to admit terrorism is tied to Islam — something Obama never could do. And naming the enemy is the first step to fighting the enemy — and winning against the enemy.

I read somewhere that he has applied for and received an Irish passport. Also he could be freed from prison in a few years time. All the pretend human rights groups like amnesty international Ireland and our ridiculous biased msm will celebrate if that traitor comes here.

In the TX prison where I worked, inmates in Lindh’s situation were designated as members of a “security threat group” as were gang bangers and kept in “ad seg”, or administrative segregation, a polite term for solitary, so that they could not spread their idiocy to those in GP, or the general population. The article does not state if such applies to Lindh.

But, if it’s too much of an inconvenience, they could just ‘drop him off’ out over the Atlantic instead. He could arrange to have his Taliban buddies pick him up. ‘Cheers, assh*le!

In March 2009 Obama nominated attorney Tony West for the position of assistant attorney general in the Justice Department’s Civil Division. West represented the “American Taliban,” John Walker Lindh. (Lindh, from Marin County, California, was captured in Afghanistan in 2001; he pleaded guilty to fighting with the Taliban and was given a 20 year prison sentence.
Note that Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) is the sister-in-law of Tony West. West, a major fundraiser for Obama in California, was a member of the “GITMO 9”—a group of attorneys who represented terrorists held at the detainee center. West was the lead attorney in the Obama administration’s lawsuit against Arizona’s legislation against illegal immigrants.
West helped raise a whopping $65 million for the Obama campaign in 2008. West’s wife, Maya Harris, is “Vice President for Peace & Social Justice” at the Ford Foundation. She previously served as the Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Northern California.
