Boston to hang 50 posters addressing public harassment, “Islamophobia” around city

92

Boston: the site of the Marathon jihad bombings in 2013. Boston: the city where a jihad killer attacked a police officer in 2015, after discarding a plan to travel to New York to behead me. Boston, of all cities, should be hanging posters addressing jihad terror, not islamofauxbia.

Further, the Boston MTA banned all political and issue-related ads after we sued to get our counter-jihad ads and our pro-Israel ads up on Boston train platforms and buses (the Geller ban). Why doesn’t their rule apply to them?

“Boston to hang 50 posters addressing public harassment, Islamophobia around city,” by Kristin LaFratta, MassLive.com, July 18, 2017 (thanks to Donald):

Story continues below advertisement

In the next two weeks, the city of Boston will hang 50 posters to address public harassment and Islamophobia.

The posters present “A bystander’s guide to helping a person who is being targeted,” with the title “ISLAMOPHOBIC HARASSMENT” in bold, capital letters on top. Illustrations depict a woman sitting on a bus or train wearing a hijab, and an angry man yelling at her. A woman intervenes, conversing with the victim until the attacker walks away. The artist employs shades of purple and blues for the drawings, making the race of the illustrated characters unclear, though the intervening bystander appears to be white.

Parisian artist Maeril designed the cartoons, which depict what the city calls “non-complementary behavior.” The posters ask bystanders to engage in random conversation with the victim (in the posters, the bystander asks the victim, “Do You Like Movies?…I just saw a really good one!”). The poster says such rapport builds “the safe space” which is expected to “push” the attacker to leave the area.

The city’s push to hang the posters follow reports of harassment against people of Muslim faith across the country, including a verbal attack against a Muslim woman on the MBTA’s Orange Line last month….

How about a poster with advice on how to respond when you see a man with Koran in one hand and a pressure cooker hanging out of his backpack.

I’m so tired of this small minority in this wagging the dog, so to speak. I’m visiting family in Eugene, OR, where I spent my high school years. Yesterday, there was an article in the local paper about how miserable Muslims are in Eugene and how the “don’t feel safe.” Today, we were treated to an editorial about how we all need to learn more about Islam to make Muslims feel welcome. Both, in essence, blamed Trump’s election for the rising hostility perceived by the Muslims. Of course, the Muslims interviewed overlook the undeserved abundance of support for their community over any other, including churches baking Iftar foods and helping out with everyday tasks during Ramadan.

A few interesting points about the story and the op-ed: first, each focused on the Muslims “feelings,” rather than facts. One had to read all the way to the last paragraph of the article to learn that hate crimes in general have been rapid decline in Eugene for the past two years; and only one hate crime has been committed against Muslims in the past 3 years (an Iraq War vet who has PTSD threatened to kill one man coming out of the local mosque several months ago).

Second, Muslims make up less than 1% of 1% of 1% of the town’s population. Going back to my initial statement, why are their feelings worth of two days of publicity, especially when those feelings are not supported by the facts?

As an aside, I’m an Orthodox Christian who was born in Ma’aloula, Syria and came to the US when I was a 13. My mom has been trying for months to get the word out about the on-going Christian genocide at the hands of Muslims. Other than the local Synagogue and our own Orthodox Church, she can get no support from either the media or any religious groups, including Muslims.

Syria has been an islamic sh!ttystan from the date of its inception. No one in the corrupt, atheist governments of the dying West is going to be doing anything for Christians — especially the Ikhwan Lite party in the USA. The Ikhwan Lite party wants dead Christians in moslem states not living, voting citizens of the USA.
You have my condolences and sympathies, maybe you could relocate to Armenia, they’re still a decent, Christian country from what I understand.

So what if they hang a cartoon on every lamppost, it is time to start the backlash against islam, in every subtle way possible. It is not necessary to do anything more than ignore muslims, or quietly intimidate them and ridicule them in a subtle manner.
” The posters ask bystanders to engage in random conversation with the victim (in the posters, the bystander asks the victim, “Do You Like Movies?…I just saw a really good one!”). The poster says such rapport builds “the safe space” which is expected to “push” the attacker to leave the area”. Movies are good subjects ask them about the latest “Wonder Woman” one . Then there is recipes, ask, in all innocence, about how muslims cook pork roast. Lots of ways to be friendly and polite. As the qur’an forbids the depiction of human images, ask why there is a picture off a muslim hanging there, hanging muslims in public is outrageous.

They shoot our women in cold blood and we are supposed to protect theirs from someone exercising their right to free speech? I don’t think so. If they don’t want to be harassed they should take off the slave rag and buy a gun. If their brother, father, husband or mullah beat or physically threaten them they should exercise their right to self defense. Then they can call themselves American women.

santashandler

So, let’s see the city of Boston is offering ways to address “Islamophobic harassment.” Let’s review, shall we.

1. “Engage in conversation.” Yeah, nothing like a good conversation when there is someone harassing someone else right next to you. Sure to diffuse the situation.
2. “Pick a random subject…..” Well, here’s another real genius idea. Heck, that would be the perfect time to ask if the woman has had her FGM yet. Give her a list of doctors to go to. Offer to go with her and hold her hand during the procedure. On the way, you can talk about random acid attacks.
3. “Keep building safe space.” Gee, who knew that just by ignoring a threat and by talking to a would be victim, the safe space would just ‘keep building.’ Again, GENIUS!
4. “Continue the conversation.” Of course. Because nothing makes danger diminish faster that holding a conversation right in front of the offending person. There’s nothing a would-be attacker hates more is being left out of the conversation. Wow. Those smart city folks in Boston really know how to handle tough situations. Maybe they can use this same BRILLIANT formula for active shooter situations, man with a bomb, man plowing truck into crowd, etc. The possibilities are endless. Really. Boston’s residents should all stand proud tonight knowing their civic leaders have taken the steps to make sure they’re all a little safer……..

The preceding was an extreme sarcastic comment……

I would love to paraphrase that poster to “How to deal with a person who has an irrational belief system”. The man approaching the woman would be a typical clueless leftist tool who was just looking for a seat. Then the woman rushes in and grabs the seat for an opportunity to talk to the Musalima. instead of the speech bubbles worded as they are, the woman starts a conversation about Muhammad. She explain how he was a pedophile and a rapist. She explains how he was a fake prophet. She explain to the woman how this religion is subjugating her and how it is just a sad excuse for misogyny. Finally she hands the woman a pamphlet from a woman’s shelter and explains how she could set herself free of the tyranny of Islam. Now that is something that might be truly helpful if you care about Muslims as people.

Welcome to Communist Massachusetts, where one can be fired for racism and islamophobia for quoting q commentary on koran 3:28 (ibn Kathir’s remarks). All these lying signs I see around the Communist of Massachusetts that if “you see something say something: and “Boston Strong” are quite annoying since they don’t mean it in one case and they are lying to themselves in the other case. Boston, of all places, would not put up Pamela Geller’s signs, if memory serves me correctly. I see no reason for an activist Muslim not to stage another terrorist attack in Massachusetts since our Commonwealth invites it so earnestly.

A phobia is an irrational fear- like a fear of heights. In the case of Islam, trying to understand where terrorists get the justification for torture, rape, and murder being done everyday somewhere in the world is labeled a phobia by our liberal ruling masters. Our liberal ruling class hates the Christian faith and believes Islam will put their hated nemesis where it belongs just like is done in Islamic dominated nations. Meanwhile the liberal ruling class can live like the Emirs and mullahs of Islamic nations complete with power to murder political opponents, have harems, be pedophiles, and all the other privileges the Koran gives the Sultans, Emirs, and Caliphates.

Another snowflake attempt to moderate bad behavior. The fact is that men are stronger than women, and if concealed carry was allowed, women would be less afraid and men would be less aggressive, because their strength would be nullified. The fact that women are considered second class citizens by Islam seems to go right over the heads of the liberals, who seem to feel that “talk” is all it takes to diffuse a dangerous situation.

Them getting decapitated by Muslim activists will not change their perspective. The lib/commies will only treat such actions as collateral damage in their struggle to destroy American and western civilization. The only thing that would be a “teachable moment” for these lib/commies would be a lawsuit. If they were to be hit in the pocket or the man purse, then they would change their minds about supporting Islamic terrorism.
