About 40 heavily-armed police stormed a Surry Hills home at 4pm before raiding properties in Lakemba, Punchbowl and Wiley Park in Sydney’s west.
An Islamist cell is accused of planning to bring down a domestic flight with an ‘explosive device’ discovered at the Cleveland Street home, reports Daily Telegraph.
AFP confirmed in a statement that four men were arrested as part of the investigation after they were alerted to the alleged terror plot.
An ‘explosive device’ was discovered at the Surry Hills property and deactivated by a bomb squad that was called to the scene, according to 7 News.

One man draped in a bed sheet with a heavily-bandaged head was seen being led into an ambulance outside the Surry Hills property.
Shocked neighbours have told AAP the family living in the property were ‘perfectly nice and normal people.’
‘We knew them to say hello to and they seemed nice,’ said the woman, aged in her early 30s, who didn’t want to be identified.
The woman, who lives at the back of the property, said an elderly couple lived in the home and had adult children.
A law enforcement official told the Daily Telegraph they found material suspected to be used for an improvised explosive device.
‘There was a threat of a device and an aircraft,’ the official said, but said they were yet to verify the credibility of the material.
Shouting and screaming could be heard as one man with a towel draped over his head was led from the Surry Hills home by police, Nine News reported.The bandaged man appeared to be distressed and bleeding from the head as he walked to a waiting ambulance.
He could be heard saying ‘they bashed me.’ When asked by who, he answered ‘police.’
When asked why he was being arrested, the man mumbled ‘I don’t know nothing.’
Residents living near the Surry Hills home, just metres from the Redfern Mosque, were evacuated while the bomb squad worked to remove the ‘explosive device.’
A police spokesman stated: ‘This activity relates to an ongoing investigation. The safety of the community and police members are the primary consideration during this activity.’
Neighbour Kate Harrison reported hearing shouting coming from a yard close by, begging for someone to call the police.
Relatives of two men arrested in the counter-terror operation have spoken out, saying they ‘love Australia.’
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull released a statement on the raids, confirming the involvement of the Australian Federal Police, ASIO and NSW Police.
‘These operations are designed to disrupt and prevent plans to undertake terrorist attacks in Australia,’ the statement said.
‘My number one priority, and that of my government, is the safety and security of all Australians. The public should be reassured that our security and intelligence agencies are working tirelessly to keep us safe.’
Mr Turnbull urged people to call the National Security Hotline on 1800 132 400 if they see or hear anything suspicious.

Well, I tried to keep it short. I’ve outlined several times the stages I think we need to go through to rid ourselves of the curse of islam.
The summary is, that we make the USA an increasingly hostile environment for muslims, such that not only do they cease to attempt to come here, but that they actively seek to leave. Then the hardcore that remain are forcefully removed and islam proscribed as a terrorist organisation.
The issue is, how to reach that goal, and you have to take several steps.
1. Remove ‘Human Rights’ legislation to get the lawyers out of the way.
2. End legal aid for deportation cases.
Then, move on to explicitly targeted action against islam and / or its behaviour, starting with actions that are difficult to ‘condemn’.
3. Instigate a Taskforce to investigate and forcefully prosecute all cases of the industrial scale child abuse in the US. Automatic deportation at end of sentence. Loss of citizenship. Loss of citizenship if applicable.
4. Instigate a Taskforce to investigate and prosecute all cases of FGM. Automatic deportation at end of sentence.
5. So called ‘honor killings’ become ‘premeditated murder of a family member on religious grounds’. Automatic deportation at end of sentence.
6. Immediately ban ‘sharia courts’ for prejudice against women, and acting as a foreign agent by observing a set of laws which have zero jurisdiction in this country.
7. Prosecute bigamy. Automatic deportation at end of sentence.
8. Limit child support to 2 children (that is an absolute necessity).
9. Prosecute marriages between cousins
10. Ban halal on the grounds of animal cruelty. Rigorously enforce that.
11. Investigate the funding of, and close down, ‘islamic charities’ linked to terrorism / extremism (they all are).
12. Investigate the funding of, and close down, mosques linked to terrorism / extremism (they all are).
13. Ban the teaching of religion in all schools. Faith schools can remain, but read on…
14. Investigate and close down all faith schools found to be teaching values incompatible with the laws and cultures of this country. That rules out islam, while allowing Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, Sikhs – who do assimilate – to retain their religious teachings.
15. Reinstate the Sedition laws. This is the initial step towards the actual banning of islam.
16. Use the Sedition laws to remove all imams / close the remaining mosques, ban the muslim Council’s, like CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood and any remaining ‘muslim organisations’.
17. Revisit the practice of ‘transportation’, as used when basically deporting convicts. Make it the equivalent of deportation for USA born muslims.
18. Ban islam and transport any remaining foreigners to a middle eastern or African country.
The objective is to start with actions that will gain widespread support, and reveal the truth about islam, which will make further actions more ‘palatable’ to the US electorate.

Let’s simplify it. Stop all moslem invasion forever, known by leftists as “immigration”. Deport all moslems. Execute those who resist. Feed their bodies to hogs. Sell the hogs to China.

Good suggestions, but the people needed to to implement and enforce just Points 1 and 2 are hip-deep in money from Islamic sources AND cooperation from their paid hired infidel get-alongs. In short, money, not standards of morality, does the talking.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Aussies were tipped off about this plot by GCHQ in Cheltenham England, we have very close links, thank the staff concerned it was stopped in time.

-those grey dank drainholes of cultural diversity, where Hizbut Ut Tahrir (just banned in Indonesia) freely spouts its calls for a caliphate because they can say what they like and get away with it in Australia.
Wonder what Wassim Diaroehia is up to in Lakemba these days. He’s been very quiet, but then again I’ve only been watching the ABC Unreality News and they don’t like to upset people with anything Is-lame-Oh!-phobic. Must switch the channel.
Maybe GCHQ could tell us where that Malaysian aeroplane (= airplane) is.

Muslims win no matter what. Had they successfully blown up a plane, they would have celebrated their well-executed plan and the slaughter of infidels. Their plan was disrupted, so now the win by using this as a reason to lecture us on the dire need to fight Islamophobia, which we all know is the planet’s most serious and dangerous problem.

Oh deary dear, there are a few bad figs in every basket. But think of the millions of muslims who did not attempt to bomb an aircraft? Surely they deserve some attention as it would be islamophobic to tar and feather all muslims with the same brush and bucket.

Turnbull if safety is your number 1 concern you will stop all Muslim immigration, stop acquiescing to all Muslim groups and close Redfern Mosque and while at it do not permit anymore.

Folks, it’s time to learn what ISLAM is all about. What is the best and easiest way to raise your ISLAMIC IQ?
Check out BILL WARNER’s (PhD) [previous Infowars guest] YouTube channel titled “Political Islam.” Each video is super concise–about 5 minutes–and the topics tackle the issues that the average non-Muslim (kafir) needs to know about.
Because, according to Warner, the Quran makes 91 different statements of how Muhammad is the best example for a Muslim to follow (and thus ANYTHING Muhammad did is permissible), the key to learning the true nature of Islam is to simply learn what Muhammad was all about via the 3 main Islamic texts: the Quran (Allah’s revelations to Muhammad via the angel Gabriel), Hadith (sayings & deeds of Muhammad), and Sira (Muhammad’s biography).
One of the most interesting aspects of Islam that I learned from Warner’s scholarship was the concept of “taqiyya” which means “religious deception.” This doctrine states that it is permissible for a Muslim to deceive a non-Muslim (kafir) if it advances the cause of Islam.
Through these videos, you will learn the following: the doctrine of taqiyya; how true Muslims view kafirs; the Quran of Mecca (the more mild text); the Quran of Medina (the more militant, jihadist text, and takes precedence over the Meccan Quran); the 4 types of jihad (sword, money, speech/writing, & inner struggle); and most importantly, the true goal of Islam: to submit the world to Islam through a political super-state; among other concepts.
I love what Warner says about how the average, well-meaning kafir seeks to relate to true, orthodox Muslims: the kafir seeks to TIE while the Muslim seeks to WIN.
