UK Was Warned About Third London Bridge Jihadi: Moroccan-Italian Muslim Youssef Zaghba who was ‘arrested in Bologna for trying to fly to Syria’

5

Back in 2009, I wrote an article for the Washington Times, “Europe’s looming demise,” on the disastrous Euro-Med agreement. In it, I predicted that the freedom of movement between European Union nations and their Muslim Mediterranean partners would be disastrous: Open borders would unleash a hijrah, a mass migration of Muslims into Europe, resulting in jihad violence and ultimately, the end of Europe as a home of free societies.

The British authorities were warned about an Italian-Moroccan jihadi who took part in the London Bridge attack after he tried to travel to Syria from Italy.

As for these watch lists, they appear to be just that — just watch and nothing more. We have seen this in the US as well. The jihadis in the first ISIS attack in America at our AFDI event in Garland, Texas, were known to law enforcement. Nothing was done.

Muslim supremacists have succeeded in elevating the murderous jihadic doctrine to a religious status, a protected status,  so that targeting devout Muslims plotting sedition and terror becomes deeply problematic. Hotbeds of jihad activity, like mosques, become off limits. The fruits of undercover work are undermined as jihadis and their handmaidens on the left work to eliminate such programs as “entrapment” and “islamophobic.”

Until the ideology behind this war is recognized as the problem, the West will continue to chase its own tail — the cost incalculable in blood and treasure.

Another one we missed? Third London Bridge attacker is named in Italy as Moroccan-Italian Youssef Zaghba who was ‘arrested in Bologna for trying to fly to Syria’

  • Third London Bridge attacker is named in Italy as Youssef Zaghba, a Moroccan-Italian who is 22 years old
  • Italian newspaper says he was stopped at Bologna airport ‘trying to travel to Syria’ just last year
  • Security source claims British and Moroccan authorities were warned by Italy about his movements
  • Scotland Yard insist he wasn’t ‘a police or MI5 subject of interest’ as questions grow over attackers
  • One the terror group had been on a TV programme about jihadis and also wanted to go to fight in Syria
  • Theresa May expects security services to carry out a review after three terror attacks in three months

By Richard Spillett and Martin Robinson for MailOnline, 6 June 2017:

British authorities were warned about an Italian-Moroccan terrorist who took part in the London Bridge attack after he tried to travel to Syria from Italy, it was claimed today.

Youssef Zaghba, a 22-year-old who was born in Fez, Morocco to an Italian mother and Moroccan father, was suspected of attempting to travel to war-torn country last year, according to Italian media.

Authorities in Italy tipped off British authorities about Zaghba but he was apparently able to enter Britain and get a job in a London restaurant, Corriere Della Sera reports.

He was reportedly stopped at Bologna airport last year with a one-way ticket to Istanbul, carrying just a backpack, a passport and a mobile phone.

An Italian intelligence source said that Zaghba had since been acquitted of terrorism charges but was on a ‘persons at risk’ list – similar to a UK ‘watch list’.

Reports in Italy suggest the 22-year-old had since got a ‘seasonal job’ in a London restaurant and continued to speak to his mother back home.

The Met Police have insisted Zaghba was not a ‘subject of interest’, but the claims in Italy will raise further questions of security services over why the three attackers weren’t under closer surveillance.

In a further embarrassment for British authorities, Zaghba’s identity was revealed in Italy before Scotland Yard confirmed it, similar to how details of the Manchester bombing were leaked in the US before they were released by police in the UK.

The other two attackers were named yesterday as Pakistani-born Khuram Butt (left), who had appeared on a TV show called ‘The Jihadi Next Door’, and Moroccan-born Rachid Redouane (right)

Scotland Yard described Zaghba as ‘of east London’, suggesting he has been in the capital for some time.

Reports in Italy say he was born in Morocco at a time when his parents lived in north Africa. They are now said to have separated and his mother had moved back to Italy with him and lives in the Bologna area.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘While formal identification is yet to take place, detectives believe he is 22-year-old Youssef Zaghba, from east London. The deceased’s family have been informed.

‘He is believed to be an Italian national of Moroccan dissent. He was not a police or MI5 subject of interest.’

Need to distinguish between spiritual religions, which elevate man, and bestial religions, which appeal to the beast in man, and lower him below the level of the animals into the realms of the demonic, like Islam.

Okay, but why didn’t they do anything? And even if they couldn’t, why weren’t their counter-intelligence services alerted to the possibility of attacks in London?

This is a common theme by mismanaged intel agencies. In the US we have 17 agencies involved with classified data. Remember, too many cooks will spoil the stew. We currently have a special counsel investigating the Russian connection to the past election and the dismissal of FBI Director James Comey, led by former FBI chief Robert Mueller who missed the signals on the Boston Marathon bombing and Ft. Hood. Russian intel had supplied massive warnings about the bombers. Comey had missed on San Bernardino and Orlando, despite the fact Orlando shooter Omar Mateen had unsuccessfully attempted to buy body armor and the declined sale was duly reported to the FBI, who did nothing. Those old Keystone Cops movies do not seem so far-fetched anymore, do they?
