It has sparked fears the jihadi – who was 27 when he was gunned down by armed police responding to the atrocity – may have been plotting an attack at Wimbledon.
Now counter terrorism police are investigating his motives.
‘The security firm would check his background but it does not have access to the police watch list or have knowledge of any MI5 investigation. There would have been no reason for him not to get the job,’ a security source told The Sunday Telegraph.
They added: ‘Butt could not only have caused serious damage but potentially helped other terrorists get into one of these events.’
It comes after Scotland Yard released photographs of the three London Bridge attackers’ fake suicide belts, last night.
It is also known that security bosses had 30 MI5 and undercover police officers on the trail of the islamist – but they dropped their investigation because they did not suspect he was planning an attack.

Khuram Butt was being followed around the clock in 2015 while intelligence services were intercepting his communications under a warrant signed by the home secretary.But the officers were pulled off the case amid fears that there was not enough evidence to convict the then-suspect and ‘get him off the streets’, sources told The Sunday Times.
The security insider continued: ‘We knew Butt was up to no good. We got to know him intimately. We wanted to get him off the streets. But the view was that we may not have enough to convict.
In the months following the probe the father-of-two, 27, even secured a job working on the Tube and had access to tunnels under the Houses of Parliament while working at Westminster station.
The Pakistani-born Briton, who came to the UK as an asylum seeker, was able to mastermind the murder of eight and maiming of 48 others in plain sight last week.

Go after the owners, GE in this case. The NBC brand is a shield for them. According to Harvard, 62% of people in the states don’t trust the media. If people understood that they need to blame GE rather than NBC for their bias (or news corp, or time warner etc.) the game would be up

In the UK, Moslem men can seek an exemption from work by claiming that they will come in contact with women who are not their relatives which is forbidden in Islam. The Moslem man will then be placed on unemployment benefits indefinitely.

Revoke the citizenship of all Moslems because Islam is primarily a nationalist and globalist political identity like Communism and Nazism and not a religion. Moslems are totally incapable of being granted citizenship in Western countries because their primary political alligiance is to Islam. When a Moslem swears the oath of alligence to a Western country to get citizenship it is called “Taqiya” (Arabic: تقیة) or lying to non-Moslems to advance the cause of Islam so the Moslem can get on welfare paid for by White people. Then the Moslem can have four wifes and 40 kids all paid for by welfare provided by dumb White people.
Deport all Moslems to their countries of origin back to the 10th generation. For population control, sterilization or other methods may be required.
The African country of Angola has effectively banned Islam as a “legally recognized” public religion with government recognition and is in the process of bulldozing all mosques.

Sorry Grant: The law in Angola, which is made clear in the youtube videos, is that you only get one “attempt” at legalization. That attempt has already been made and failed to meet the requirements of the law.
The law in Angola would have to be changed to allow subsequent legalization applications which is not likely to occur with the current mood of the people and the government.
The people and government of Angola do not want a hostile army forming against them under the cover of Islam. Let’s be honest: Islam is primarily a political, totalitarian, ideological movement similar to Communism and Facism in that it is all embracing and endlessly expansionistic seeking to conquer non-Moslem populations. The government of Angola is attempting to defeat the inevitable civil war that Islam causes in all countries where it is not native.
Just because you call your army a religion does not stop your army from still being an army.

Like a lot of other things in life, the background checks performed on individuals seeking security sensitive jobs these days are bogus. It amazes me that individuals like 25 year old Reality Winner, who posted sensitive data to The Intercept, never even had her social media sites examined and slipped through the cracks. She had more red flags than a government building in Peking. It isn’t like we are dealing with insidious mad geniuses or something, quite the opposite.

The information she leaked was classified, I believe, not simply sensitive. Sensitive gets you fired. Classified is is a ticket to prison.
I’m not familiar with Winner’s social media commentary. But simply being very anti-Trump is not considered grounds for denying a clearance or access. Now if she were recommending some illegal acts, that might be a different matter.

Her having expressed a desire to join the other side in our efforts against terrorism lays her misplaced loyalty wide open.
