Jesuit Scholar: Islamic Extremists Are the True Muslims

Story continues below advertisementIslamic extremists who carry out acts of terror are simply applying what their faith requires of them, according to Jesuit Father Henri Boulad, an Islamic scholar of the Egyptian Greek Melkite rite.
In an interview with the National Catholic Register, Father Boulad said that “Islam is an open-ended declaration of war against non-Muslims” and those who carry out violent jihad are true Muslims who are applying exactly what their creed demands.
Those who fail to recognize the real threat posed by Islam are naïve and ignorant of history, he said, and unfortunately many in the Church fall into this category.
Citing a letter he wrote last August to Pope Francis, Father Boulad said that “on the pretext of openness, tolerance and Christian charity — the Catholic Church has fallen into the trap of the liberal left ideology which is destroying the West.”
“Anything that does not espouse this ideology is immediately stigmatized in the name of ‘political correctness,’” he said.
The priest went so far as to chastise Pope Francis himself—a fellow Jesuit—suggesting that he has fallen into this trap as well.
“Many think that a certain number of your positions are aligned with this ideology and that, from complacency, you go from concessions to concessions and compromises in compromises at the expense of the truth,” the priest wrote to Francis.
Christians in the West and in the East, he wrote the Pope, “are expecting something from you other than vague and harmless declarations that may obscure reality.”
“It is high time to emerge from a shameful and embarrassed silence in the face of this Islamism that attacks the West and the rest of the world. A systematically conciliatory attitude is interpreted by the majority of Muslims as a sign of fear and weakness,” he said.
“If Jesus said to us: Blessed are the peacemakers, he did not say to us: Blessed are the pacifists. Peace is peace at any cost, at any price. Such an attitude is a pure and simple betrayal of truth,” he said.
The priest also stated his belief that the West is in an ethical and moral debacle, and its defense of Islam is a denial of truth.
“By defending at all costs Islam and seeking to exonerate it from the horrors committed every day in its name, one ends up betraying the truth,” he wrote.
To back up his argument, Father Boulad enumerated a number of texts from the Koran that call on Muslims to employ violence in their conquest of the world for Allah.
The many passages he cited included: “Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them” (Koran 2:191), “Make war on the infidels living in your neighbourhood” (Koran 9:123), “When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them” (Koran 9:5), “Maim and crucify the infidels if they criticize Islam” (Koran 5:33), “Punish the unbelievers with garments of fire, hooked iron rods, boiling water; melt their skin and bellies” (Koran 22:19), and “Terrorize and behead those who believe in scriptures other than the Qur’an” Koran 8:12.
Father Boulad is not the first Jesuit scholar to criticize the West for its naivete in dealing with Islam. Last year, Georgetown scholar Father James V. Schall contended that decades of students have been given a “sanitized education” that systematically excludes an honest portrayal of the history and theology of Islam, which limits their ability to assess what is going on in the world.
In his essay titled “Realism and Islam,” Father Schall argued that Islam “is actually and potentially violent throughout its entire history” and the basic reason for this method is religious in nature: “obedience to the Law of Allah.”
Therefore, he wrote, the Western tendency to simply call Muslim violence “terrorism” is insulting to believing Muslims who “see themselves carrying out the will of Allah, even sometimes to their own death in doing so.” Rather than terrorism, he insists, Muslims see their violence as “a religious endeavor to conquer the world,” which they understand to be “an act of piety.”
Because of this gaping educational void, “most citizens are simply not equipped to face the forces now reappearing in the world,” he wrote.
“And while it may be politically incorrect to state these things, they need to be stated and are in fact the truth—things that both Muslims and non-Muslims need to hear and consider,” he said.

I’ve been quoting Dr Peter Hammond for years. It’s a real pity more people don’t read his book to appreciate that when General Michael Flynn said of Islam is true, that “Islam is a cancer’. Who but imbeciles invite, let alone allow a people into their country when their ultimate goal is to take over their country and while doing so create unpleasant dissent? Only politically correct imbeciles and half-witted advocates of multiculturalism do this. One sees it daily in Canada with newspapers publishing as if gospel, idiotic letters to the editor from Muslims claiming Islam’s ‘peaceful nature’.

I asked a Catholic priest some months ago what he thought about Islam.
He hesitated … said he knew Muslims who were afraid to leave the religion, openly, because of fear of being killed.
He wouldn’t outright come out and say Islam is poison, though I did. And he didn’t disagree with me. But neither would he openly condemn Islam.

These well meaning useless idiots who participate in interfaith activities with muslims are beginning suckered in. They should have an interfaith introductory seminar with a frank, open, no questions barred discussion of the qur’an, with particular emphasis on the numerous phrases that demand that muslims kill or perpetrate violence on non muslims. Then a discussion of abrogation of phrases in the qur’an that infer that islam is tolerant, the classic being “let there be no compulsion on religion” which is often quoted, thought is irrelevant to islam through aberration.

Spend some time studying t he Jesuits, they have their good and questionable points. The reformation had its valid points, the counter reformation did as well. In the end, it is up to the individual to do what is right.Before wasting a lot of energy on the Jesuits, it would be far more productive to deal with socialists on university campus as there is where the real problem is. The democrats and other oppressors have a lot of people barking up the anti Catholic tree which is a good distraction while the left consolidates its hold on infrastructure. Catholicism is in a tailspin right now, democrats and muslims know this, they will take advantage of the disarray, regrettable, but that is what happens under socialism, religious or otherwise.

If the foundation of your opponent’s religion (islam) is the destruction of your religion, then defense of your religion does not signify merely fending off its followers (muslims).
Defending your religion then signifies, the destruction of your opponent’s religion. It is only when this occurs, that it can be called a successful defense. Failing this, it is merely evasion, not defense, for as long as your opponent’s religion is extant, its followers will keep coming after your religion.
Note – Since the inception of islam, muslims have never stopped attacking other religions, and they can never stop – Stopping would require muslims to violate islam. So they have no choice.

Day and night, week in and week out, year in and year out the Religion of Death is screaming at you that it will destroy you and rape and enslave your children. The other day I watched a video of an Australian mother whose only son was killed in the Bali bombing and who grieves every day
since. Then it dawned on me I had forgotten that horrific terrorist attack in which over 200 mostly young people, nearly half Australians died. Scores of others have been in pain, gone through endless operations and suffered unimaginably. THAT WAS 15 YEARS AGO in 2002. I forgot Bali because there have been so many many more vile assaults on humanity.

This has been patently obvious to anyone with an iota of common sense. The violent extremists are simply following the literal interpretation of the Koran. Those ‘moderates’ cleave to an interpretation that has no defined support in the Muslim world. Islam has never has a Renaissance , a period of enlightenment and probably never will since the extremists can point to the Koran as it’s rationale for violence. The sooner the West realizes that true Islam is a violent ideology , the sooner the West can start to fight back. And the West has to be the one to fight back ; the ‘moderate’ Muslims have nothing to contribute. No courage , no strength, no passion , no intellectual criticism , no public support for their fellow man.
The West needs to develop a plan to shut these people out of our lives , for ever.

There may be still better books but I have read only this.This book ,in fact,mentions that the Islamic invaders(and later rulers) were comparatively compassionate with Hindus than the European Christens.I got this from Amazon ( as far as I recall).

1. “Freedom of religion”….BIG mistake that Islam wasn’t excluded from that “freedom.”
2. We can’t declare war on 1.5 billion Muslims in the world
3. Need Islamic allies to fight the more devout fundamentalist Muslims.
4. An attack on the ideology will piss off ALL Muslims which would lead to increased terrorism.
5. Progressive Globalist Marxism who love and, are allies with Islamic totalitarians because they hate Western Judeo-Christian civilization even more than the Leftists.
6. Leftist suicidal multiculturalism…all cultures are “equal” but… Western culture is more evil compared to 3rd world cultures therefore we should allow in 3rd world migrants to assuage our guilt.

When has Islam ever been a peaceful religion? Out of the 1400 years it has been in existence, at least 1300 of these was related to warfare of one form or another.

Every attacker that I’ve paid attention to in the last while had family members and those at his Mosque that knew that the attacker were going to do something. But they all chose to ignore it and look the other way. This is not just a moral crime, this is a legal crime as well. We must enforce the law without apology.
