Dirty Bomb Threat at in South Carolina’s Wando Terminal

Since 9/11, Muslim supremacists have been trying to get a dirty bomb off in this country.

Maersk Line said the U.S. Coast Guard had informed it of a threat of a “dirty bomb” aboard one of its vessels at the Port of Charleston in South Carolina.

Back in December 2016, it was reported: ISIS WARNING: Terror group ‘want radioactive material to make a nuclear dirty bomb’

The dirty bomb threat: “In one investigation in Chisinau, Moldova, samples of uranium-235 and cesium-135 were seized by police when a smuggler offered an informant who was posing as a buyer for ISIS enough cesium to contaminate several city blocks—and all for $2.5 million. An in-depth investigation into dirty bombs by the Associated Press revealed four other attempts by criminal networks to traffic radioactive materials through Moldova.”

Coast Guard: Reported ‘dirty bomb’ threat at Wando terminal originated with YouTube video

Live Five News, June 15th 2017 (thanks to Todd):

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) – Officials with the Coast Guard say they were alerted to what later proved to be an unfounded “dirty bomb” threat at the Wando Terminal Wednesday night from information in a YouTube video.

USCG Lt. Ryan Kelly confirmed the initial information about the possible threat came from a YouTube video, but said it is not yet clear how a person being questioned may be connected to the video itself. A tweet Thursday morning stated a person described as “the original source” was facing questions about the incident. No other details about the person, including age or gender, have been released.

Coast Guard officials confirmed Thursday morning via Twitter four containers had been scanned and cleared. Fourteen agents with radiation detection technology investigated these containers and found no signs of radiation, officials said.

The terminal will be reopened Thursday morning and a safety zone has been lifted.

Coast Guard officials say the FBI was called in to investigate a report of a “dirty bomb” aboard a vessel. A dirty bomb is composed of conventional explosives and radioactive material.

The potential threat had been reported at approximately 8 p.m. Wednesday involving a container aboard the vessel Maersk Memphis, according to a Coast Guard report.

“The Maersk Memphis is currently moored at Charleston’s Wando terminal which has been evacuated while bomb detection units from federal, state and local law enforcement agencies investigate the threat,” Coast Guard officials said.

The Coast Guard says a unified command was established to oversee the coordinated response. Agencies that responded include the Coast Guard, FBI, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Mount Pleasant Police, Mount Pleasant Fire, Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, Charleston Port Authority, National Guard, SLED as well as Hazmat and EMS crews.

Workers said they were told to leave the terminal around 9 p.m.

Boaters say they were also escorted off the water due to the situation.

Wasn’t something like this inevitable? The political class knows perfectly well of the high potential for terrorism , and looks the other way while collecting $250,000 “speaking fees” (Hillary), making millions on “book deal advances” (Obama), and contributions to foundations named after themselves (like the Clintons).

It’s inevitable. As fissionable materials become more and more prevalent, and countries like Iran are not dealt with in no uncertain terms it’s only a matter of time before some ‘holy warrior’ sets off a big one in one of our port cities in the name of the Great Moon God. Maybe that’s the only thing that will wake a lot of people (sitting ducks) up. If it doesn’t, I give up on the human race.
I think we’ll lose a major port city sooner than later, and I don’t like saying that ’cause I live in a Seattle suburb.

Fissile* don’t mean to be a grammar nazi. There was a dirty bomb scare yesterday at a port. It’s only a matter of time

LOL That’s OK, I’m pretty bad about that too (English major). If you check, however, you’ll find that ‘fissionable’ and ‘fissile’ are interchangeable, similar to ‘flammable’ and ‘inflammable’.
I grew up in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and my old man worked there (K25, where they separated the uranium)…so I grew up hearing the terminology.

It it isn’t one thing, it is another, ban islam and make the muslim practice of following islam a criminal offence, punishable by law, then do it.

A dirty bomb starts in the mind, an Islamic mind, in which the fake “justice” of Muhammad is an aspect of it’s mind-state.
A dirty bomb can stop in the mind, a mind that recognizes justice as what it is & recognizes the fake “justice” of sadist & racist Muhammad as injustice.
We must make laws that oblige media, government & the education-system to a truthful opinion about justice, one of honest & profound & not corrupted & fake balance.

#Ban Islam, save lives worldwide & free the African slaves from Saudi Arabia to Mauritania, the Biafra-leader, the Leavenworth 10, Israeli soldier Azaria, Salim Masih & so on.

Surprising that the terrorists haven’t gotten away with that yet. The authorities must be doing an excellent job behind the scenes, to have prevented such an event so far.

At what cost? I wonder if the muslum collaborators in governments across the dying western world aren’t getting cooperation from muslum states (in uncovering large scale islamic terrorist attacks) in return for implementing Shari’a law?

It’s inevitable, and it could happen any day. There are obviously jihadis who are not restrained or even given pause by the certainty of killing children. Their goals of maximum civilian deaths and disruption to free societies are served best by going forward with a dirty bomb at the first opportunity. There is no more cowardly act I can think of, and they have proven repeatedly that they are up to it.

I agree. Muslums will be detonating some type of nuclear device somewhere in the kafir world in the 21st century — perhaps in one of the states that is resisting the imposition of islamic law.

At least under Trump they are paying attention.
Under Obama, he’d PROTECT them as he did through Comey and the Boston Marathon Bombers. Comey gave the Russian family a clean bill of health even after Russia WARNED us about them.

Osama bin Laden once mad a deal to buy what he thought was radioactive material but was burned by the element being an inert powder for which he had paid a high price. This is also one of the biggest fears of a collapsed state in North Korea is that all that radioactive material there could fall into the wrong hands. Russia and China need to take a more active stance there since each shares a portion of their respective southern borders with NK but also, and more importantly, since no nation is immune to the threat of raghead terror.

The international port facilities of San Pedro/Long Beach CA were at one point in negotiations to be sold a to a muslum petrostate conglomerate. I’m not sure what the final outcome was.
