BREAKING: Swedish airport evacuated after ‘trace of EXPLOSIVES’ found in bag

A SWEDISH airport has been evacuated after a bag with “traces of explosives” was discovered in the departure hall.

By Vickiie Oliphant, The Express, May 22, 2017:

Police and emergency services rushed to the scene, blocking doors and other exits to prevent travellers from accessing the airport.

Those inside have also been evacuated and moved to a safe place while investigations continue.

Tommy Nyman, police spokesman, said: “We will also evacuate some people who have already checked in at the terminal.”

Mikael Andersson, station commander of the border police, added the “whole departure lounge” has been shut down by the police.

Passenger Viktor Ingemarsson, who is currently waiting for his pregnant girlfriend at the airport, said: “First there were two police cars and a while later, a full succession with police and fire brigade.

“They have barred from the first crossing point at home all the way away. They are currently removing people from the area.

“I’ll have to wait a while. The atmosphere is quite calm, but the police really want people to get away from here.

“It feels very worrying. It seems to be an object, maybe a bomb of some kind. I’ve heard from several policemen that it’s bomb threat.”

Other witnesses described the scene as “crawling” with police as the incident is dealt with.

It is believed the police have sealed off a 200m scene around the suspect bag, and are awaiting the arrival of a bomb squad to further examine the package.

Sweden was hit by terrorists last month when a truck attacker killed four people outside a busy shopping centre in Stockholm.

Rakhmat Akilov, a 39-year-old rejected asylum seeker, is known to have sympathies with terrorist death cult ISIS.

More islamophobia, are the progressive swedes still stuck in some medieval concept of urban renewal? Look at beirut , damascus, baghdad, for a few examples of modern progressive urban renewal by islamic urban planners. The swedes would do well to adapt this along with all the other muslim traits they embrace and enshrine.

From this description one has to wonder where the Swedes have been for the past several years. Ever since the late 70s in the US, any unattended luggage left in an airport was a cause for a security alert and it was confiscated and removed, possibly by the bomb squad depending on the security level in force at that time.

Airports in Sweden were nice, peaceful, quiet places, back in the good old days.

The current strategies for dealing with this ambush guerrilla terrorism are going to have to change. Instead of reactive policy there is going to have to be proactive policy. That is not to say people should just be treated like dirt and frisked at every point. However, if we continue to lay back and get picked off right and left that is not the way to defeat this enemy. For starters, public areas in addition to obvious security should have strategically hidden security including being able to send alerts to police and authorities. Robotics is already making strides in this effort but needs to move quicker. Being proactive should also establish ways to identify perpetrators and document action or non-action as the case may when authorities do not do their duty or are not sure about events.
