President Trump: James Comey ‘should have never exonerated’ Hillary Clinton

I believe President Trump got a gander at the mountain of evidence against Hillary Clinton and fired Comey for incompetence and collusion. President Trump should do the right thing and indict Clinton for high crimes.

Any possibility of prosecuting Hillary Clinton was tanked by President Obama. It’s time to right that egregious wrong. The American people deserve better. Democrats are not above the law, no matter how high up the food chain they are.

“Trump declares James Comey ‘should have never exonerated’ Hillary Clinton”

By Bryan Logan, Business Insider, May 13, 2017:

Story continues below advertisement

President Donald Trump has offered additional insight into his thinking about former FBI Director James Comey. Trump said in excerpts of an NBC News interview released Friday that Comey “should have never exonerated” Hillary Clinton.

Trump, referring to the FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state, said that the steady flow of news surrounding that probe helped him as a candidate in the 2016 presidential election.

“I will tell you that what he did, what Comey did, had good moments for me as a candidate. I’m only talking as a candidate, I’m not saying as president,” Trump told NBC News’ Lester Holt, beginning to recount a July 2016 press conference in which Comey announced the FBI would not recommend charges against Clinton in the case.

“When he came out with that scathing set of circumstances, the server … the emails, 33,000 emails … Then he gets to the end and he said she’s free as a bird,” Trump said.

Trump fired Comey from the FBI on Tuesday, an action that stunned both Republicans and Democrats, and caught agents at the bureau by surprise because the agency is deep into an investigation to find potentially improper links between Trump associates and Russian operatives.

The president’s original dismissal letter to Comey indicated that he was being fired for his handling of the Clinton email probe. On the campaign trail, Trump often declared that Clinton should have been prosecuted — despite the FBI’s findings that no charges were warranted.

Trump reiterated his displeasure with Comey on NBC News: “He had a lot of pressure put on and he exonerated her. Should have never exonerated her.”

Rot goes much deeper. Most Dems/RINO’s are corrupt Lobby Puppets.

In fact most Dems were on payroll of Iran to pass the Nuke bill that only worsened security to USA and the region .

It is never too late to right a wrong. Prosecution against all high ranking democrats involved in criminal, which included treasonous, activities. A court of law, not public opinion will judge. O’bimbo and hillary should be first in court, to get everyones attention.

Agreed. I still think Carly Fiorina had the best line about Hillary, “She has escaped prosecution more times than El Chapo.”

Not the FBI’s job to determine whether or not someone should be indicted- it’s DOJ’s. Comey took the highly unusual action he did because of his lack of confidence in Lynch’s DOJ. He stuck his neck out there, believing the unprecedented circumstances warranted his exoneration of Hillary was in the nation’s best interest.

There is no telling how much cash flowed into Comey’s hands for the recommendation that Hitlery not be prosecuted.
She violated the Espionage Act worse than anyone in history.
With the Clintons & Barry it is always about the money.
Laws are irrelevant.
The Clintons should have been locked before Bill ever made president.
In Arkansas he was known as the head of the Dixie Mafia.
Equality under the law under the law is a bad joke in the USA.

There is no telling how much cash flowed into Comey’s hands for the recommendation that Hitlery not be prosecuted.

A baseless slur, for which you have absolutely zero evidence, against a fine public servant. Unless you have some basis for a comment like that, common decency would say you not make the snide insinuation- but I guess that would be too much to expect of you. Your proclivity to impugn the motives of people with whom you disagree, without the slightest evidence, is utterly repugnant.

Benjamin Wittes, editor-in-chief of Lawfare and who numbers Comey as a personal friend, wrote in the NYT this weekend:

First, Mr. Comey is without subtext. He’s the only truly subtextless man I’ve met working in senior levels of government in Washington. If you want to know why he’s doing something, you just ask him — in an open congressional hearing, in a news conference, in the Q. and A. at a speech at a college. If it’s appropriate to talk about it, he’ll tell you. He doesn’t lie. He doesn’t answer cagily. And, remarkably for a Washington figure, he explains his thinking. He answers questions about it. He releases documents.

By the way, I don’t think anybody would claim the same about Donald Trump, or, of course, Hillary,

How do you explain a lawless witch like bloody Hillery walking away unscathed then?
She broke at least a dozen laws and Comey lets her slide because she displayed
“no intent”?
Tell that to the State Trooper next time he catches you doing 75 in a 25 school zone.
I don’t care if the Pope vouches for him, something isn’t kosher here.
And, it was NOT Comey’s job to decide whether or not to prosecute Clinton, he was off the reservation from the gitgo.
Hope you get over your hurt feelings soon.

Oh Snarky One,

I am not going to pretend that I fully understand Comey’s reasoning: certainly I would have savored seeing Hillary indicted.

Your comparison with speeding is severely flawed: you appear to be confusing a civil citation with criminal law. Generally, criminal violations require a degree of intent (mens rea); civil violations do not. Now I do understand that mens rea does not always apply in modern American criminal law, but I lack an understanding of the nuances. However, it is my impression that Comey concluded Hillary’s actions with respect to classified information lacked a requisite criminal intent: others who are knowledgeable of the law have a different take.

I agree it was not the FBI Director’s job to decide whether or not to prosecute Clinton. He believed the truly exceptional circumstances surrounding this case warranted an unprecedented departure from standard procedure. I do not know enough about the situation to judge, and I have no confidence that you do either.

What I find most objectionable in your original comment was your impugning of Comey’s integrity, with nothing but your own animus to support your case. As I see more how you handle yourself, I find I am not surprised (“hope you get over ….”).

You might learn something by listening to Comey’s graduation speech that I linked above.

I learned all I needed to about Comey when stood at the mic for 15 minutes telling us how guilty Hildabeast was and then said he could not see prosecuting such a case because of “no intent”.
Tell that to General Petraeus,
Tell that the 21 year old kid who took 6 pictures in an unclassified section of a submarine and got a year in prison for it.
The Clintons are the most murderous corrupt people to ever crawl out of Arkansas and Comey fabricates some BS reason to let them slide again.
Tell Comey to keep his head down because the Clinton loose ends always seem to get disposed of.
I’d rather defend al Qeada than the Clintons.
I doubt al Qeada has done as much damage to the nation.comment image

Duh, yes, the context of my comment (which you failed to include in your quote) made it clear that it was in Comey’s judgement. Sheesh, this, along with many of your comments, is utterly banal.

IzlamIsTyranny
IzlamIsTyranny

You put the anal in banality.
My query was rhetorical as I don’t really care what an obviously corrupt apparatchik thinks is in the “nation’s best interest” — especially when those interests include covering up the malfeasance and treachery of a fellow corrupt, un-elected, apparatchik.

It is not in the nation’s ‘best interest’ to let an egregious law breaker, like Hillary, walk away in the face of overwhelming evidence against her. Had he pushed for charges, chances are good, he could have gotten them. He decided to play politics rather than do his job. He rolled the dice and lost. Now it’s time for him to pick up stakes and find a new game. Whether he did, or did not have confidence in Lynch is irrelevant.

“Even with a mountain of evidence, we(FBI) could not find any wrongdoing??! ” That was only because he didn’t want to find any Clinton “wrong-doing”. Anyone who watched the Congressional hearing into Clinton’s emails knows of the wonderment and disgust Trey Gowdy, James Chaffetz and other felt and expressed when cross-examining Comey.

An Article V CoS is the worst thing that could happen to America. It’s a Trojan Horse. Read the BBA – it does NOT balance the budget. It’s just a door-opener to the final ‘fundamental’ change of our Republic that will strip America of her sovereignty and have the power, which is their real intent, to rewrite the Constitution. There are already many different versions of a new constitution, all coming straight out of the communist/marxist playbooks.

Good point Marlene. All I can say is the Constitution has already been ignored, trounced, misrepresented with accusations by the Left, avoided and, for the sake of political expediency, modified in practice during real or imaginary moments of crisis. Case in point: Supreme Court, Ruth Bader Ginsburg stating international law supersedes US law. One founder stated that a document like the Constitution and a truly republican form of government was possible only when led by moral people. We, as a nation, have departed from this ideal long ago.

Two points here: 1) Hillary still stands to be indicted for two reasons. The statute of limitations has not expired for such a case and it will not be a case of double jeopardy since she was never indicted in the first place, and 2) Those confused about how President Trump goes about “doing business” only expose their ignorance in never having read “The Art of the Deal”. Love him or hate him, the man is consistent.

Trump has been burned but good by the viciousness of the Clintons, the Democrats, and the media.

He expected a truce of sorts. Instead, from the illegal leaks, the surveillance, and the media vendetta, he’s been attacked relentlessly.

It sounds like he gets it – and he’s finally taking the gloves off.

Comey had to go.

Thank goodness he’s moving now, before they can destroy him – death by a thousand cuts.

Likely many members of congress , senators and high level officials are on cocaine or other drugs and are taking bribes for their habits. I posit that they are given stock and option tips from the islamic controlled hedge funds and can turn a few hundred into millions on these tips with no record of transferred funds. That is why we have seen so many insane decisions that favor islam. President Trump is not one of these and may be Americas savior.
