Largest Catholic University Bans ‘Gay Lives Matter’ Posters For Event on Islam

Monstrous. The left’s complicity with the mistreatment of gays under sharia is criminal. The elites on the left attack and destroy those of us who oppose this brutal homophobia.

Even the Orlando mass murder of gays didn’t change anything.

Story continues below advertisement

Last year, I spoke at an LGBT event at the RNC decrying the treatment of gays under Islam, and the mainstream media attacked the event with a vengeance.

The academic left stands with the Muslims who practice sharia.

“Largest Catholic University Bans ‘Gay Lives Matter’ Posters For Event on Islam,” by Tyler O’Neil, PJ Media, May 12, 2017 (thanks to Kenny):

DePaul University in Illinois, the largest Roman Catholic university in the United States, prohibited posters with the slogan “Gay Lives Matter” to advertise a presentation by a gay reporter on Islamic discrimination against LGBT people across the world.

“Using the same look/brand as BLM [Black Lives Matter] pits two marginalized groups against each other,” Amy Mynaugh, director of the Office of Student Involvement at the Catholic university, said in an email rejecting the posters. “It doesn’t appear that Turning Point has any connection to the Black Lives Matter movement and this seems to simply be co-opting another movement’s approach.”

The posters were printed to advertise for an event with the campus group Turning Point USA, entitled “Dictatorships and Radical Islam: The Enemies of Gay Rights.”  The speaker, James Kirchick, is an openly gay reporter and author of The End of Europe: Dictators, Demagogues, and the Coming Dark Age.

The anti-Israel group DePaul Students for Justice in Palestine announced its members would protest the event. Kirchick captured a profanity-laced Facebook tirade declaring outrage against the event.

The Facebook user MK Okay characterized Kirchick as “a white, Zionist, neoliberal journalist” who would “speak on sh*t he knows nothing about.” Announcing a protest, MK declared, “Not in our f**king name will you pretend to define our safety, and where danger comes from.”

It gets better. “Not in our f**king name will you continue to demonize Islam and Muslims and ignore the radical Christian right,” the Facebook user continued. “Because we all know & see what the real danger here is – and we all know & see how this is f**ked.” Sure. Because there are so many members of the “radical Christian right” throwing gay people off of buildings…

This selective outrage merely solidified a disturbing trend among the Left. In order to emphasize the “oppression” of Muslims, liberals downplay and perhaps even ignore the deaths and sufferings of LGBT people in the Muslim world. Conservative Christians need to show more charity to LGBT people, but they aren’t stoning them and throwing them off of buildings.

As Kirchick said in his speech, “The fate of sexual minorities is inextricably bound to the fate of liberal democracy.”

Jason Plotzke, president of the DePaul chapter of Turning Point USA, defended the “Gay Lives Matter” messaging. “We do not see how the branding of Black Lives Matter is exclusive from all other lives and we cannot make a similar statement in a different movement,” he told The College Fix.

“Sure, it is related and based off the BLM slogan,” Plotzke admitted, “but with no intent to undermine the movement. We are not even using the poster to push an entire movement, but rather a specific event. We, as students in an academic setting, should be allowed to market our events as we see fit.”

The chapter president also explained the thinking behind the posters. “The statement is very simple and you could not market such an event any better and eye catching [sic],” he said. “When people see that statement, they will either agree or disagree, but the point is getting people to see the message, and we firmly believe that it would have been effective.”

Indeed, it seems that this controversy drew attention to the event, and protesters who covered their faces with masks were even turned away.

Last October, DePaul University President Reverend Dennis H. Holtschneider banned posters reading “Unborn Lives Matter,” a message in keeping with Catholic teaching on the sanctity of human life. Holtschneider defended this decision, despite the fact that “Black Lives Matter” posters hang on the windows of DePaul’s administrative offices.

In a letter, Holtschneider denounced the pro-life message, declaring, “you will see us refuse to allow members of our community to be subjected to bigotry that occurs under the cover of free speech.” The president admitted that the school “asked students to redesign a banner that provokes the Black Lives Matter movement.”

Much like the “Unborn Lives Matter” sign, the “Gay Lives Matter” sign was copying the style of “Black Lives Matter” to prove a point — that unborn children and homosexuals are being killed, in America and in Muslim countries across the world, respectively.

The use of this kind of messaging seems defensible on the grounds that Black Lives Matter sees itself as directing attention to people dying, because these people are being ignored. It is arguably an even better use of the motif to highlight the deaths of the unborn (minimized as “clumps of cells”) or those of LGBT people in Muslim countries (often overlooked so as not to appear “Islamophobic”).

Nevertheless, Students for Justice in Palestine distributed its own posters, declaring that “queer liberation is always anti-racist and anti-imperialist.” Is it racist to point out that some of the more radical Islamic countries put gay people to death? Is it inherently imperialist to say anything negative about non-Western countries? What about Russia, which was an imperialist country among those Kirchick attacked as anti-gay?

These arguments also make Amy Mynaugh’s claim that “Gay Lives Matter” somehow “pits two marginalized groups against each other.” Are gay lives inherently in conflict with black lives? Does the “Black Lives Matter” movement include advocacy for the whitewashing of murder, under the premise that Muslims are more often black?…

This is not Catholicism. The thing that is being passed of as “catholic” is actually crislam, as mentioned in Scripture the case prophets and messiahs are described,
Ezekiel 13 – “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the women who sew magic charms on all their wrists and make veils of various lengths for their heads in order to ensnare people” Note the “veil” which describes burkas and niqab.
” The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel who are now prophesying. Say to those who prophesy out of their own imagination: ‘Hear the word of the Lord! 3 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Woe to the foolish[a] prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! 4 Your prophets, Israel, are like jackals among ruins. 5 You have not gone up to the breaches in the wall to repair it for the people of Israel so that it will stand firm in the battle on the day of the Lord. 6 Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. Even though the Lord has not sent them, they say, “The Lord declares,” and expect him to fulfill their words. 7 Have you not seen false visions and uttered lying divinations when you say, “The Lord declares,” though I have not spoken”?
To mention a couple.

I couldn’t agree more! In essence it’s outright sacrilege! I keep abreast of what’s going on in my Church and it’s clearly obvious that many in the magisterium are in apostasy just as many Church Father’s prophesied. Pope Francis is indeed changing times and laws and is actually persecuting traditional prelates in the Church who dare oppose any of his edicts. He not only has included some homosexuals into the Church and has accepted their alternative lifestyle, but he has also embraced Islam and countless other pagan religions. The Christian faith in general has been sabotaged to promote a one world church that is totally forbidden by God. We are not to hate the sinner, but hate the sin. Pope Francis has also embraced the sin, along with many other laws that God has rebuked in scripture. The fear of God is nowhere to be found! God help us all when that cup of iniquity has reached its limit.

I don’t feel bad speaking poorly about any bad Pope, and believe you me, the dark ages were replete with them. The most recent Popes who have initiated the ecumenical movement are literally worshiped by many as being “good Popes.” The Popes that actually were good are usually maligned.

This comparison between the Bible and qur’an very adequately says what Christian clergy should know and teach.

Matthew 7:15-20New King James Version (NKJV)
You Will Know Them by Their Fruits
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.Galatians 1:6-9 ESV /

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.
John 8:44 New International Version
You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Now here are some excerpts from the qur’an describing their demon:
According to the Qur’an, Allah is the “best of deceivers” (3:54; 8:30). The phrase is often translated into English as “best of planners,” “best of schemers,” or “best of plotters,” but the root word (makr) means “deception.” Hence, the following Qur’an verses should be rendered as follows:
Qur’an 3:54—And they (the unbelievers) planned to deceive, and Allah planned to deceive (the unbelievers), and Allah is the best of deceivers.
Qur’an 7:99—Are they then safe from Allah’s deception? No one feels safe from Allah’s deception except those that shall perish.
Qur’an 8:30—And (remember) when the unbelievers plotted deception against you (O Muhammad), to imprison you, or kill you, or expel you. They plotted deception, but Allah also plotted deception; and Allah is the best of deceivers.
Since the Bible declares that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), the question must be raised: Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God? There is nothing to indicate Christians and muslims worship the same entity.

With his knowledge there are several priests who conduct masses honoring the gays, and who happen to be gay themselves. He has said that both gays and atheists are acceptable to God. If you don’t call that condoning this lifestyle, then nothing more needs to be said.

He is not condoning the gay lifestyle. He essentially said that if you are gay and celibate, you can still be a priest. This is no different than saying that if you are heterosexual and celibate, you can be a priest. By Church doctrine, no priest should have a sex life, regardless of what attracts them.

The list of incidents is very long, but here is just one sample of what I was talking about.

“Pope Francis raised eyebrows earlier this month by concelebrating Mass with and kissing the hand of a leading homosexual activist priest campaigning for changes in the Church’s teaching on homosexuality. On May 6, Francis received the 93 year-old priest who has cofounded the homosexualist activist organization, Agedo Foggia, that is opposed to Catholic Church teaching.”

Fr. (Don) Michele de Paolis concelebrated Mass with Pope Francis at the Domus Santa Martha and then presented the pontiff with gifts of a wooden chalice and paten and a copy of his most recent book, “Dear Don Michele – questions to an inconvenient priest”.

In a previous book, Don Michele wrote, “homosexual love is a gift from (God) no less than heterosexual.” He also disparaged the idea of homosexual couples not having sex.”

Well if you don’t think that sexual preference should play a part in becoming a priest, then what more needs to be said? If you want a woman who thinks she’s a man, or a man who thinks he’s a woman as your priest, then chances are, anything goes with you. However, it doesn’t have to be the attitude of others including myself.

The Catholic Church has paid millions in defending pedophile priests….their skirts are not clean by any means. Catholics who continue to attend Mass, put money in the collection baskets are actually excommunicated if they are married to a divorced Catholic or are one themselves in a relationship. Where is the logic in that? The Pope is nothing but a pandering politician in expensive robes. Having been raised a strict Catholic, I am appalled at his behavior.

It is possible to tolerate other religions, and even get along with them, in many instances. Except for islam, islam is demonic, standing for everything evil that contributes to the damnation its practitioners. Plus, islam will not stop its violence against any and every non muslim until it has murdered every one of them. Then, islam will turn on itself and destroy whatever is left from within.

Oh, I agree! The Lord said Himself, that “whomever is not with Me is against Me.” I always took that to mean that any religion that believes He is the Son of God, is favorable in His eyes, despite what my church
or any other church might believe. To me it’s self explanatory.

That rules out Islam altogether since they don’t believe He is the Son, and that Mohammad is greater. They believe that He will come back but only to kill all infidels, Jews and Christians alike. That’s what kills me when these phony men of God talk as though Allah is the same as the God of the Judea/Christian Bible. Moreover, there are countless people of every faith that seem to believe it too.

There is no possible way that their alla demon is anything other than a dung heap dwelling insignificant creature that suckered in a charismatic salesman, specifically mutgonad, police beat upon him, who sold islam, the franchise of rape, robbery and every other perversion, for a ticket to hell. In the end, though this is not a popular quote from the qur’an, it appears mutgonad, police beat upon him, had buyers remorse, for selling tickets to hell, where he knew he was going, as he confessed to being a liar, which is self evident by the very foundation of islam. “Prophet Mohammed’s confession:

“I have fabricated things against God and have imputed to Him words which He has not spoken.”

— Al-Tabari, The History of Al-Tabari, vol. vi, p. 111

‘Then Gabriel came to the apostle and said , “What have you done, Muhammad? You have read to these people something I did not bring you from God and you have said what He did not say to you.”‘

— Ibn Ishaq, Sirat Rasul Allah, p. 166”

Then, “There will be no one of you who will not enter it (Hell).

This was an inevitable decree of your Lord.

Afterwards he may save some of the pious, God-fearing Muslims out of the burning fire.

The catholic traditionalists like the republican traditionalists need to call things for what they are more often instead of playing it safe. Look at Italy and look at the state of the parties. I believe there is an analogy of growing divide happening in both with the church and the government and people need to use critical thinking to pick sides. The left is doing its best to obscure reality trying to make the church and state one and the same – just like muslamists.

Excellent observance about the charms and veils. I looked at it and also noted the words “magic charms” and “divinations”.

Do you think the muslamics are directly involved with the occult – at least as some way to make themselves sound mysterious and enticing to susceptible recruits. It would be an interesting way for them to attract young who are caught up in new age outlooks.

Of course my overriding estimation is that its a tool for muslamics – if this is true – as a means to their evil ends. This is a couple of links about it and while I am skeptical of muslamics brain scores and abilities, it doesn’t always take a lot of mental capacity to participate in magic. I’ve heard of some cults using drugs along with their brainwashing to enhance magic working.
