AIPAC Absent on Key Pro-Israel Effort Despite Claims of Support #Jewidical

There is no greater epic failure of American Jewish leadership, and the field is sadly overcrowded, than the ailing behemoth AIPAC.

I stopped going to AIPAC conferences long ago, when it was clear they had submitted to the silence on the greatest threat to American and Israel — jihad and sharia. Despite towing the Islamic line, Obama publicly shamed them by ignoring them and instead cozying up to antisemitic groups like J Street. And like the dog who returns to his vomit, AIPAC continue to grovel to enemies of the state of Israel.

But now we have a pro-Israel president, and still AIPAC can’t get off their well-worn knees.

Back in 2008, I argued with the executive director about it as well. My break with AIPAC was sealed back in May of ’08, when a reader invited me to the AIPAC Wall Street dinner at Cipriani. I went up to the Executive Director, Howard Kohr, and said that I understood that AIPAC was “non-partisan, but Obama will be lethal for the Jews.” Kohr scoffed. I went on to relate all that I had unearthed in my two years of relentless investigation of Obama, and I laid it out, point by point, fact by fact, with as little hyperbole as I could. Kohr shook his head. He would have none of it. We are non-partisan, he insisted. To what point are you non-partisan? If there is a candidate, a party, an official who is a Jew-hater, do you maintain neutrality, like Switzerland? He just smiled and walked away. And I walked away from AIPAC.

AIPAC threw in with the Dems and the Dems threw out their support for Israel.

AIPAC Absent on Key Pro-Israel Effort Despite Claims of Support

Sources confirm AIPAC missing from effort to end payments to terrorists

By Adam Kredo, Washington Free beacon, May 12, 2017:

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee, or AIPAC, the nation’s most powerful pro-Israel advocacy organization, has been misleading its membership about the group’s effort to build support for legislation that would prevent U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority from being used to pay salaries to terrorists and their families, according to multiple congressional sources and pro-Israel leaders working on the matter.

For the past several months, AIPAC has claimed in statements both public and private that the group is actively engaged in building support for the legislation, titled the Taylor Force Act, on Capitol Hill. However, multiple congressional offices in both the House and Senate confirmed to the Washington Free Beacon this week that they have not been contacted by AIPAC.

The conflicting narrative has renewed long-mounting concerns about AIPAC’s waning level of engagement on key pro-Israel initiatives, as well as speculation that the decades-old lobbying juggernaut has lost its influence on Capitol Hill, particularly among leading Republican offices that now view the group as insufficiently supportive of their pro-Israel efforts.

Multiple congressional offices in both the House and Senate engaged in the effort confirmed to the Free Beacon this week that AIPAC “never lobbied” in favor of the Taylor Force Act or even sought to discuss it.

“I’ve heard nothing from them on it, and we’ve met with their reps a number of times since the Taylor Force Act was introduced,” said one senior congressional source, who would only discuss the matter on background.

Multiple other sources in the House and Senate further confirmed that AIPAC has largely been absent from the debate, telling the Free Beacon the lobbying group appears “neutral” and “unenthused” about the bill, despite public declarations otherwise.

Aipac is a waste of time, it is a coffee klatch for a bunch of useless socialites on the edge of a fading limelight.

with as little hyperbole as I could.

Congrats, Pamela dear. I know it must have been difficult!

particularly among leading Republican offices that now view the group as insufficiently supportive of their pro-Israel efforts.

As Lady Thatcher put it, “it’s a funny old world.” And yet American-born (as opposed to immigrant) Jews show little show little sign of wavering in their support of the party of FDR, a known, mild anti-Semite. And I thought Jews were supposed to be “clever”!

These are the same American Jews that were silent during the holocaust as their brethren were being slaughtered.

They ate bagels and celebrated Bar Mitzvahs and that’s about as Jewish as they get.

Nor should we forget that in the summer of 1944, when Germany was being bludgeoned from all sides, and had neither the resources nor the man power to destroy the Jews of Hungary, the Jewish elites arranged the process for them.

Read Ben Hecht’s “Perfidy” for starters.

Not much has changed, and with the exception, perhaps, of the Z.O.A., I wouldn’t trust any of the elite Jewish organizations with the welfare of a family pet.

These left-wing Jews live in the abstract. They live in a fantasy world.

Thank G-d for Pamela Geller when we come here we realize there are still some Jews with courage and integrity out there and the ability to tell it like it is.

Where are all the other courageous Jews? In Israel.

Shabbat Shalom
