This same thing is happening with Democrats opposing legislation against female genital mutilation in Minnesota — the islamization of America.
And Minnesota doctors recently charged with mutilating the genitals of little girls are claiming it is a religious Islamic right. And the left is taking up the fight for the savages.
Perhaps they are taking this tack because the American Academy proposed a resolution to sanction a “ritual [clitoral] nick” back in 2010. As I warned at the time, and we see now how right I was, such a resolution would give Islamic misogyny the seal of approval by the American Academy of Pediatrics, no less. The sanction of clitordectomies, the sanction and norming of evil. We defeated that proposal, but female genital mutilation continued apace because of the increase in Muslim immigration.

The number of women and girls at risk for female genital mutilation (FGM) in the United States has more than doubled in the past 10 years. More than half a million women and girls in the U.S. are at risk of undergoing FGM in the U.S. or abroad, or have already undergone the procedure, including 166,173 under the age of 18, according to the Population Reference Bureau (PRB).

Unlike male circumcision, female genital mutilation has no health benefits for girls and women.
Female genital mutilation (FGM) involves partial or total removal of the clitoris, causing injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons.
Femal genital mutilation procedure has no health benefits for girls and women. It removes all possibility of sexual pleasure. It is the worst kind of misogyny.
Procedures can cause severe bleeding and problems urinating, and later cysts, infections, as well as complications in childbirth and increased risk of newborn deaths.
More than 200 million girls and women alive today have been cut in 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, where FGM is concentrated
FGM is mostly carried out on young girls between infancy and age 15.
FGM is a violation of the human rights of girls and women.

The American Civil Liberties Union launched a vocal opposition this week against a Maine bill criminalizing female genital mutilation (FGM), Mainely Media reports.
Republican Rep. Heather Sirocki is sponsoring the bill, saying that it would classify performing FGM as a Class B crime in the state, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. The bill would also punish the parent or guardian of the victim.
However, the Maine ACLU staunchly opposes the protection. ACLU spokesman Oamshri Amarasingham said that the risk of mutilation isn’t worth expanding Maine’s criminal code. The Maine Coalition Against Sexual Assault also supported the ACLU, arguing that FGM is not happening in Maine.
Sirocki, however, pointed to a 2012 report from the Center for Disease Control, which found 500,000 victims of FGM in the US. Furthermore, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement found that 400 individuals have been arrested and 785 deported for FGM violations nationwide since 2003.
Maine, Sirocki said, is one of the eight highest-risk areas in the US for FGM. The practice has proven to be so rampant in the state that it has received special federal funding to combat it.
Sirocki’s bill would also criminalize “vacation cutting,” the practice of flying briefly overseas to subject minors to FGM in nations that haven’t banned the practice.
While FGM has been a crime federally since 1996, Maine is one of the highest-risk areas in the country for the practice, and Sirocki said that law enforcement needs to be able to try offenders on the state level….

Female genital mutilation not only describes cutting off the hood of the clitoris and total removal of the clitoris but can also include removal of the major and minor labia and the sewing of the bloody residual flesh over the urethra so a channel is made by the ifibulation of a stick or other object to keep this channel open while it heals so that the female has to dribble urinate through a common urethral and vaginal orifice made very small until marriage to prevent any sexual activity. Females enjoying sexual pleasure is purposely destroyed to prevent infidelity. Side effects include recurrent urinary tract infections, incontinence, chronic pain and increased mortality of childbirth. Many girls do not survive this barbaric mutilation, usually done by women using unsterilized instruments such as razor blades, dying of blood loss and infection.These practices did not begin with Islam but are predated among many African cultures including pharaonic circumcision which is the most radical kind as described above. The WHO has condemned these practices. Feminists are anti-female, they debase motherhood and could care less about girls and women who have undergone this horror. Do unto them what they want done to others.

As a political conservative who is of the Jewish Faith, I despise what the liberal Jews are doing. But most liberals/leftists are not Jewish so I must perceive a bit of Jew-hatred in your post. There are atheistic Jews and those of Christian descent but many lib-Jews have distorted the commandment of Tikkun Olam, “to help fix the world” and have gotten it very wrong.

I was once a strong member and supporter of the ACLU. I am a Liberal, Blue Dog Democrat (look it up).
I terminated my membership decades ago as I perceived ACLU to be abandoning its values, and seemingly becoming puppets of extreme leftists. All too often I disagreed with their positions. That on FGM is a example of a terrible position. The ACLU does not even understand that Islam (submit) is not a religion but a political and social movement, to establish a Global Caliphate.
Once established (and even before) agnostics and atheists will be executed (unless they convert.) And there will be no more elections. (Islam combines government and religion.)
Christians may be comforted to know that if they will submit to the Caliphate, and pay the required tax, they will at least be able to pray in private. I am not so comforted.
I am comforted by knowing (not believing) that my SOUL will survive my death. (Search for “Out of Body”, and also for souls.) I have seen souls, beginning with news videos of Fukushima. Souls are invisible when they perceive eyes may see them. Surveillance videos will record them. i have seen such.
I am a Major, USMCR(Retired). Once, during Korea, I was the target of sustained sniper fire. The very accurate sniper was always a foot low and 4-5 feet to my right. He did not sweep his target. I did not flinch or move. My platoon observed that I had no fear of death. I still have no fear of death.
BTW- There are some (5% or so) Muslims that I consider friendly. Without setting out details, these are:

My 6th grade teacher, back in 1957-58 warned us repeatedly to avoid any contact with the ACLU. She claimed they were a communist front and any association with them would haunt our whole lives. In all the years since, I have never once seen the ACLU on the correct side of any argument.

Totally medically untrue. Removal of the foreskin which is the tissue that covers the glans penis has no effect on sexual pleasure in the male. The glans penis, which is the biological equivalent of the female clitoris, is the tissue that is responsible for sexual pleasure and is heavily innervated and has a large supply of blood vessels for engorgement. Both the clitoris and glans penis are the sexual organs of humans and stimulation of this erectile tissue results in orgasm. Remove either one and no orgasm is the result.

The male foreskin is the main erogenous zone of the male as opposed to the female foreskin, which nearly has no nerve endings. They are anatomical equivalents but they aren’t microanatomical equivalents. The male glans has only few nerve endings for rough sensitivity comparable to the rough touch sensitivity of the human eye.
Moreover it’s funny how you talk about “biological equivalent” body parts but then don’t conclude that if it’s allowed to ablate boys’ foreskin then so it be allowed to ablate girls’ foreskin, and if it’s prohibited for girls then so should it be for boys.

You are too kind. That’s not the way it is done to the majority of muslim girls. In muslim countries, Africa, Asia no pain killers are used, often rusty bloodstained razor blades or glass do the cutting while the girls are held down, many die from loss of blood or infection. There is a lot of information and disgusting pictures on the ‘net. If the “procedure” is done by a doctor, the resulting loss of female sexual pleasure and disfigurement and side effects are the same. Any doctor doing this should be imprisoned for life.

The American Academy of Pediatrics most likely did that for financial reasons. They exist by charging doctors to take board certification exams and to re-certify . They also charge membership fees and with so many doctors being allowed into the USA from Islamic countries they form a relatively large block of payers to AAP. If AAP offended them by saying that FGM is wrong they could refuse to pay for all this and AAP sees that as a loss in potential revenue.
If you follow the money trail the motive will appear.

Muslims were not the first to bring FGM to the U.S. For over 130 years, American doctors – Christian and Jewish – did various forms of what we now call FGM. Check out Prof. Sarah Rodriguez’s excellent book “Female Circumcision and Clitoridectomy in the United States: A History of a Medical Treatment”. Prof. Rodriguez teaches in the medical school of Northwestern U in Chicago. As far back as the 1860s, American doctors were cutting female genitals in an effort to
prevent/cure masturbation and other “ills”. Playgirl and Cosmopolitan magazines published articles in the mid 1970s promoting “female circumcision” to improve the sex lives of women. Blue Shield would pay for a female circumcision until the late 1970s. When Christian and Jewish doctors were cutting female genitals they did not call it FGM. We had nice, polite terms like “Orificial Surgery”. Google “Journal of Orificial Surgery” and you can find Google e-books available free over the internet so that anyone can read what American doctors were doing to little girls.

You might want to read the first AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) 2010 FGM policy statements where it points out that there are Christians and Jews who also want to cut their daughters.

I don’t think I’m comparing “apples and oranges” as you claim. My post was to point out to previous posters that FGM is not just a Muslim issue. American doctors, Christian and Jewish, were using their religious beliefs about “sin” as justification for cutting little girls.

In which section do I read where Christian & Jewish girls were circumcised with rusty blades or cut glass? What page has the numbers that died from blood loss and infection? Did they have their female relatives holding them down and clamping their mouths shut as they screamed in pain?

I have news for you, Pork, but back in the 1860s when American doctors started cutting female genitals, they often were using rusty blades – and they certainly weren’t using sterile technique or anesthesia. Read any history of medicine to see how doctors didn’t understand even the most rudimentary ideas of germs or hygiene. BTW, a few years ago, I saw an exhibit on the history of medicine in Chicago from the 1890 until 1910. There were 16 business cards of doctors in the Chicago area on display. 4 of the business cards were for Jewish doctors who were also advertising their services as “antiseptic mohels”. These doctors were trying to distinguish themselves from other doctors who weren’t practicing the new ideas. While these doctors may well have wiped their instruments with alcohol briefly, those instruments were then laid down on dirty table tops before use. Medical schools in the 1800s and early 1900s were nothing like medical schools today. Any kind of surgery before about the mid 1900s really was a very risky event.

Naturally any surgery before sterility and anesthesia were routine would be unhygenic so please answer again part 1 of my question. Take it from the 1930s if that makes it easier. Also awaiting replies to parts II and III. Thank you.

I could not even imagined this had I not read about it on this web site. Guys who want this should just get themselves a rubber doll and leave the real women to real men.
This is just one of the many things that we don’t like about Islam such as honor killing, Jew hatred, jizya tax, and the list goes on and on. They talk about reforming Islam, but my question is: once you take away all of these bad things, what is left?

I would go further and also outlaw circumcision. There is no health benefit to it unless Phimosis is a problem as a boy gets older and that is by far a minority of boys.

Clearly you are unaware that almost all FGMs involve the COMPLETE removal of the clitoris. That would the same as castration for a male, not circumcision.

Some people in this country seem absolutely blind to horrific practices of other countries and groups. FGM is a horrific practice that has no medical justification. The only thing it has it is to keep women down. ACLU needs to rethink its position.

FGM is already illegal. The ACLU supports those laws. Pamela Geller knows this, too. This article mystifies me.
