Who is going to blink first? Like I said – WWIII for this? For Syria? Listen to my take earlier today.

Russian warship steams toward US destroyers that launched Syria strikes

By Lucas Tomlinson, Fox News, April 7, 2017:

Russian warships heading towards US Navy destroyers

A Russian warship entered the eastern Mediterranean Friday and was heading toward the area where two U.S. Navy destroyers launched missile strikes into Syria, Fox News has learned.

The Russian frigate, Admiral Grigorovich RFS-494, crossed through the Bosphorus Strait “a few hours ago” from the Black Sea, according to a U.S. defense official.

The Russian warship is now in the eastern Mediterranean steaming in the direction of the U.S. warships.

The Admiral Grigorovich is armed with advanced Kalibr cruise missiles.

Also Friday, one of the American destroyers that launched the missiles into Syria started heading to an undisclosed location to rearm.

The U.S. struck a Syrian airbase in retaliation for this week’s gruesome chemical weapons attack against civilians, including infants and small children, military officials said.

The frigate was bound for the Syrian port of Tartus on a routine voyage, the Russian news agency TASS reported Friday, citing a military-diplomatic source.

“The Russian ship armed with cruise missiles Kalibr will visit the logistics base in Tartus, Syria,” the source said.

The ship was near the Black Sea straits, Tass reported. It left on a voyage after stopping at Novorossiisk for supplies and taking part in a joint exercise with Turkish ships in the Black Sea.

Russian ships routinely docked at Syrian ports while Obama’s navy was nowhere near during the time of the Obama “red line” proclamation. Iran also has access to Syrian ports after entry via the Suez Canal.

Because we the people were also “outplayed and tricked” into supporting the wrong people, the wrong candidates, and for not protesting the encroachment of tyranny.

Are you suggesting that Hillary Clinton would have been a better choice after the mess she made over Libya and Benghazi and policies toward Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Iran?

No – God forbid! The “wrong” people are the democrats, especially over these last 8 years, the neo cons in the Senate, the globalists in federal agencies, and the local bureaucrats – all who have sold us out while we were not paying attention.

Because Trump backpedaled on moving the Embassy to Jerusalem thus appearing weak and pliable. Because he sent his reply to coddle the Muslim’s V Israel so they figure him for a patsy

You should ask why the muslamics want to rule the world. Better to fight them there and beat them before they get to our shores. Look at the UK, the EU, Australia, Indonesia, etc. They actually brought the fight to non-muslims of the West many times over the past 1400 years.

Yes we could put our heads into the sand and watch the latest nazis, stalinists, etc evil machine. When they get to our gates in huge numbers it might be too late.

Syria should have blown your missiles out of the sky. It was an unprovoked act of war. Of course Americans have never suffered an attack on their homeland. Just wait until it happens to you, you warmongering bastards.

I’m talking about real war on your soil similar to the devastation inflicted on Europe in WW1 and WW2. That’s what you need to experience because at the moment it’s just like a glorified computer game to you. Oh, and if you still think 9/11 was done by 19 muslims with boxcutters then there’s no hope for you. Last attack on mainland USA was 1812.

Does not matter if it’s right or wrong because it is over and it is the Syrian’s who have suffered the chemical strike and this reminds me of our liberal Democrats trying to shut down any apposing view point. Russia needs to mind its own business since it will not correct any wrong and supported the Syrian regime.

Russia needs to save face.
I wouldn’t put too much into this.

Assad made Putin look like a fool with this gas attack.
He did it to prevent a Trump-Putin Syria deal, which would have cut him and his Iranian masters out.

Putin was praised by the world for putting the Syrian chems under control. Now he looks like a clown, thanks to Assad.
He needs to look tough against the USA for domestic consumption. But Tillerson is heading to Moscow, carrying a proposal from Trump on ending the Syrian war.
In that, both men would could come out as victorious, moral and Syria could end up with a state that is sane and not Islamic, which the rebels would bring, and one which is neither an Iranian forward base against Israel.

Make no mistake. An Assad victory would have meant a battle hardened Hezbollah being hailed as the cavalry which saved Syria and with that blood lust, they would have moved on Israel in short order.

That’s in nobody’s interest, not even Russia’s who wants a stable Syria, with stable ports which Russia can use to conduct trade from and use as its Med base for its navy.

Trump merely signalled to NKorea and China that he’s no Obama.

He also was forced by the GOP wing which would have co-operated with the Dems to impeach him over this Russian conspiracy stuff. You could see that from a mile. The co-ordination between disaffected neocons, McCain and McMuffin and the DNC to remove Trump from office after a successful media propaganda (and fake polling) campaign reaching a threshold, in which a majority of Americans would have believed Trump to be a Russian stooge. That was the set up from November 9th last year. The fix was in for Trump.

Now, he silenced the Fake News, took the media into a different direction, appeased the warmongers in the GOP and forced the Dems to support his “humanitarian / moral” act.

He bought time. Which he needed badly. The knives were out for him and when you don’t have your own party with you in a civil war, you’re screwed.

I remember before the chemicals were removed from Syria, there was a break in where the chemicals were stored and some of the chemicals were stolen. How can the U.S. be sure those chemicals were not stored where those civilians were hit?

This matter should have been left to the UN to settle, not the U.S. While Mr. Trump received a degree of popularity for his hit on Syria, I have no doubt it will come back to bite him.

I agree. After the U.S. attack the Russian ambassador to the U.N. insisted that there should have been an investigation into where the gas came from. But no, emotions ran rampant because of film on tv and suddenly ISIS and al Qaeda became more evil than Assad, the tens of thousands savage murdered by ISIS more important than 70 odd victims in Syria.

This frigate is on a routine rotation to Tartus. Nothing related to the missile attack. It was already in transit and is badly out-gunned by the two US destroyers.

Trump made his intentions very clear: the conflict in Syria has to end and we are going to work with an international group (including Russia) in finding a replacement for Assad. Despite the jubilant reaction of ISIS, the US is squarely focused on eliminating the Islamic State. But to be clear, Assad will not be the beneficiary of eliminating ISIS, especially when he brutalizes his own people. This was a golden opportunity to send that message and Trump wisely took advantage of it.

By taking bold action Trump has clearly proven: the US is still a force for good, the US is a reliable ally, he’s not a Russian stooge and he’s capable of measured military action. BTW, in contrast, I noticed Hillary called for the US to take out the entire Syrian Air Force in response to the chemical attack.

Yes, some people think the US should bury its head in the sand in response to the Syrian chemical attacks, but that would have really benefitted ISIS by implying that we were either supporting Assad or too weak to act.

Remember that the leftists claimed that the US was to blame for the rise of Al Qaeda and 9-11? Obama was determined to get the US out of Muslim lands as if that would solve the problem with Islamic terrorism.
I don’t see Trump’s action as any indication the US is going to get involved in nation building or fighting the Syrians’ war for them. His policy is more in the middle between Bush and Obama. Time will tell how he manages this catastrophe in Syria.

Right, it will work as well as it did in Libya and Iraq. Just because Trump is in charge. Laughable.

Trump has basically at this point lost it, and the support of many like me. He has done absolutely
nothing he promised, and now is engaged in a Hillary-esque war in the ME.

Methinks we have been taken for a ride.

I think you are over reacting. You sound a bit like someone who has a short fuse or very limited patience. Your support was fairly superficial if you have so little faith in the man that you are gone in less than three months.

As to your claim “he’s done nothing.” He just got Gorsuch confirmed. He’s already taking bids for the wall. He’s reversed countless Obama’s executive orders. Trump’s putting miners back to work. Businesses are optimistic, exceeding hiring expectations. Trump is restoring the trust of our allies. He encouraged NATO to focus on terrorism. Trump has put an end to the confusion over “Islamic terrorism.” He was mocked but now the mess in Sweden and France, etc., is becoming recognized as an urgent problem the West must confront. Trump is instituting “extreme vetting” including ideology and no one is complaining.

I don’t know how you can be so negative about Trump if you were ever actually a supporter.

He is a fraud. Each passing day that is apparent. Without going into details, I will recall an event which rang the warning bells for me. Before that, yes I was a supporter, I voted for him via absentee mail in Florida. Now to the event. After winning the elections, he comes on stage and his first words are his gratitude to “Secretary Clinton”- his words, not mine. That was it for me, and things have gone rapidly downhill since then.

The US launched its attack on Syria on 4/6/2017, the 100th year anniversary of WWI (4/6/1917). Trump has been lied to. Tillerson is an ex-CEO of Exxon Mobile and now the Secretary of State, where previous secretaries put us into Syria in the first place. Exxon, and others, stand to make billions of dollars, again, from the de-stabilization of the Middle East. The powers-that-shouldn’t-be want war – at all costs. They don’t want peace, or even an agreement, with Russia. The powers of the President of the United States are no longer what they should be, constitutionally. President Trump is being relegated to keeping only those promises that have nothing to do with wars, banks, foreign affairs – these are what the NWO globalists control. WWIII? I’d say not yet, but…
