Merkel can kiss her ‘re-election good bye, that woman should be hanged for treason, she’s done more harm to Germany than Hitler and that includes the bombing Germany took because of Hitler.

The Germans are largely ok with this. Suicide is easy if you don’t worry.

“What will Germany do when the truth is deemed hate?” They already tried that once. Wasn’t that one massive failure enough? Does this portend the rebirth of the “Volkischer Beobachter”, that infamous Nazi rag?

This news while irritating to supporters of small government and the supremacy of the individual, was I’m sorry to say predictable from the German political establishment, the English speaking peoples of the Western alliance can no longer assume Germany will stand with us to defend freedom. The reasons are below.

Since 1945, America as the dominant military, political and financial source of power in Western Europe understandably allowed herself to be dazzled by old school German technical and industrial prowess, what America found under the ashes of military and industrial defeat impressed massively. But that was then, since 1989 and the collapse of the Communist East, Germany has changed, it’s stopped holding it’s breath over the fear of invasion from the East, exhaled, dropped the illusion of a military defence and gone over to building a forth Reich of German political dominance founded on money and it’s power through the structures of the EU.

Modern Germany has found a new way to dominate Western Europe, it still is, and while refusing to use it’s strike aircraft anywhere against Islamic terrorism except as reconnaissance aircraft, has continued it’s mission to order the affairs of lesser European states through the EU and the single currency. What British diplomacy fought to prevent for 250 years from 1700 to 1945 has come to pass, a massively powerful populous state squatting in the heart of Western Europe too large to control and too big to ignore.

The Germans have never been known for their willingness to take up arms in defence of the freedom of the individual, as people they’ve always respected actual power and the display of autocratic or military authority, not so English speakers across the world. Reflect, how many thousands of English speaking soldiers and airmen from Britain, America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Rhodesia, Canada, India and British possessions in Africa lie buried in the soils of Europe where they fell in the act of making Europe free once more?

How many German graves are there in America of Germans who died liberating you guys or the Canadians?

Germany as an ally has gone, they have a female defence minister, a loathing of all things military, a flabby ill prepared “army” which awards itself medals for “peace keeping” not for bravely closing with the enemy and destroying him, that’s MUCH too “last century” for contemporary German leaders. The old Germany is not coming back either.

No, if America or Britain continue to look to that country to defend the Western values it purports to value against the threats we know we face, in my estimation we can all forget them, the Germans are growing fat again, but this time it’s not “guns or butter”, it’s power and influence to change Europe into a political colony and sponge for it’s exports and the 15 or 20 million Islamic and Africa economic migrants it’s leaders insist on letting in.

Merkel is still polite, but under her breath you can hear her muttering about funding her share of NATO and the defence of her own borders, “over my dead body” is what I hear..

Trump, America and Britain had better wake up, while we fought the terrorists, chattered, postured and gazed in awe at the success of reunification, the table cloth with Germany smack in the centre of it has slowly moved away.
