The conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch filed suit in federal court on Monday seeking communications records related to the Obama administration’s attempt to ban a popular kind of AR-15 ammunition in 2015.
The suit, Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice, was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. It stems from a Freedom of Information Act request the watchdog group filed with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) in March 2015. The request asked for all communications related to the agency’s decision “to no longer exempt 5.56 mm. SS109 and M855 (i.e., ‘green tip’ AR-15) ammunition from the definition of ‘armor-piercing’ ammunition” in the year leading up to its announcement.
Judicial Watch said the ATF effectively ignored its request. The group said the ATF never formally acknowledged receiving the request despite confirmation from the Postal Service that it was delivered. ATF did not produce the requested documents, argue it was exempted by law, or tell the group if it ever intended to respond.
“This is yet another example of how Obama’s wanton use of the ‘pen and the phone’ attempted to undermine the constitutional rights of all Americans, as opposed to upholding the rule of law,” Tom Fitton, Judicial Watch president, said in a statement. “The Obama ATF simply ignored our request on their ammo ban.”…

Judicial Watch are the good guys. One of the few groups to unapologetically go after corruption from either party in D.C. They were Obama’s and Hillary’s worst nightmare for the past 8 years. I have donated and will continue to support this worthy organization.

The ONLY reason for the BATF to exist is to deny Americans their rights. If you want your hair to stand up, go back and read about the actions of the BATF under Clinton. For a while, they were on a wild murder spree, murdering “suspected” owners of “illegal” firearms and gun store owners. In one particular assault in the middle of the night, the BATF broke into the home of a gun store owner, shot the dog and one kid, then handcuffed the family (after making them strip) and proceeded to have a pizza party in the home using the gun store owner’s money with the family handcuffed on the floor. Fact beats fiction any day.
Then there is Ruby Ridge and Waco…………….

One of the reasons I love the .44 is it hits hard enough to knock an opponent down even if he is wearing body armor.
The next shot keeps him down.
It kills cars.
It works well with black powder I can make.
A stroll through any mall parking lot will yield bullet material for casting.
I can lubricate the bullets with pork fat.♡
With a side loading carbine you can hold off a war party of Comanches.
Does not need trick bullets.
Cowboy guns do not scare the snowflakes like the dreaded AR.
When the commies/jihadi’s finally ban guns and ammo I can keep the .44 running.

Afghanistan, Indonesia and Malaysia were once Buddhist countries, Egypt was once a Christian country.
Why are they now Muslim?
Simple they didn’t secure their borders and let the invading Muslims in.
U.S.A. is now securing its’ borders but is still importing Muslims!

Look up the .408 Cheytac, the Barret company made/makes their auto and bolt guns in the caliber.
It was made from a necked down .50 BMG case and last I heard was out gunning everything known to man.
The load data is well developed.
If Alco makes a bullet for it, look out.
A gun like that cries for a March 80 power scope.
You should be able to out range a 105mm.
Me, I’ll just stick with my little .308 that holds a 4 to 5 inch group a 800 meters with Nosler 155 Palma’s and 147 APs.
I matched up the ballistics with Fed 168 GMM years ago.
I don’t find 105+ grains of 50 BMG powder going off next to my head pleasant anymore.
The thrill is gone.
But the headache stays.

The DOJ should concern itself with prosecuting the criminal element within its own ranks as opposed to maliciously going after law abiding private citizens and their constitutional liberties. After all, Eric Holder was the only AG in US history to be cited for contempt of Congress.
