Turkey DEFIES US/UK anti-ISIS coalition, attacks YAZIDIS instead

Here is still more evidence that Obama’s “close,” “trusted” friend Erdogan is no ally of the United States. He is attacking the Yazidis, who have already suffered so much, and the Kurds, instead of taking on ISIS, which he hopes to co-opt for his own restored Ottoman caliphate.

Story continues below advertisement

I received this disturbing email from a close observer of events in the Middle East:

For the past 36 hours Turkish, Kurdish, and other Islamics in the region have deployed thousands of troops and heavy weapons to attack Yazidis in the Northern Sinjar district.

The casualties have been minor because full invasion has not yet started. They are waiting and testing if there will be a Western response.

The excuse for this invasion is that there is a presence of a Kurdish faction called PKK which is rival to the Iraqi Kurds political party and opposition fighters to Turkey. However, this is just an excuse to invade Yazidi people and take their lands, because The PKK has huge bases in Kurdistan (Iraq) and Syria and Turkey, with some in Iran border as well.

So former ISIS members, Turkish advisers, local Arabs along with Iraqi Kurds under the banner of Peshmergas forces have dug up trenches, set up bases in the Yazidi areas with more reinforcements coming in from Turkey. These Turkish backed forces will commit mass murder if they are not stopped. USA must help, Yazidis have no one else.

Some Yazidis have already escaped to the Mountain Again, but the aim of all these invaders this time is to penetrate the Mountain and annihilate the Yazidis by conversion, murder, and fleeing to leave their lands (the Sinjar district) to Muslims and never come back.

It’s true:

“Turkey defies British anti-terror commander, escalating its assault on Syrian Kurds and their Yazidi allies,” by Tom Coburg, The Canary, March 3, 2017:

The last 36 hours have seen major developments in the Middle East in defiance of British and US-led anti-Daesh (Isis/Isil) forces. First, Turkish militias are attacking anti-Daesh units near the Syrian city of Manbij. And at the same time, Turkish-backed forces have launched an attack on the long-suffering Yazidi community in Iraq.

In February, the anti-Daesh Coalition strongly suggested that the multi-ethnic but Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were the best placed group to liberate the self-proclaimed Daesh capital of Raqqa….

As previously reported at The Canary, the Turkish regime has expressed its commitment to taking Manbij by force from SDF control. And on 1 March, in direct defiance of the Coalition, Turkey launched attacks on SDF forces in and around the city.

In a separate development, Yazidi Sinjar Resistance Units (YBŞ) in Iraq have reportedly been under sustained attack from Turkish-backed forces since the morning of 3 March.

The Yazidis are one of the most persecuted minorities in the world. In August 2014, Daesh attacked Sinjar, the homeland of the Yazidis. Many people were slaughtered, and hundreds of Yazidi women were taken as sex slaves. Iraqi Kurdish forces refused to intervene. Instead, the YPG and the PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) came to their rescue. The YBŞ is now affiliated to these groups.

Today’s attack on the Yazidis is attributed to a 500-strong group calling itself “RojPesh” (or ‘Rojava Peshmerga’). Despite this name, the RojPesh is closely allied to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of northern Iraq, and is suspected of being little more than a group of Turkish-backed mercenaries. According to one commentator, meanwhile, the assault is not by the RojPesh but by KRG forces. And indeed, only a week earlier, Turkey’s president met with the head of the KRG to discuss strategy.

In short, Turkey is leading an assault on anti-Daesh forces in both Syria and Iraq. And its attacks are only likely to increase in the coming weeks.

More atrocities by the Kruts like when they committed genocide in the early 1920’s against the Armenians. Why expect humanity from muslims?

One of my Armenian friends had his maternal grandmother’s ENTIRE family slaughtered by f’ing muslums during the Armenian Genocide. The only reason his maternal grandmother survived? She was a cute young thing and taken as a slave girl by Turkish muslums.

As if anyone in the US or UK is going to do anything but approve. Turkey has suckered in every western military strategist into thinking that they must maintain some sort of rapport with them for “strategic” reasons, contemporary Yazidis can join the Jews of the 1940’s as victims, like the Armenians, of Turkish genocide. Let the banners proclaim “Never Again” in the ignorant hypocritical angst of do gooders.

What is Erdogan doing? He seems to be trying to play both ends against the middle. He’s supposed to be our ally against ISIS while also helping them. In the past the US and NATO needed Turkey as a southern ally against the spread of communism. That is no longer the case. Europe and Germany, particularly, have allowed in thousands of Turks who are now causing problems. Turkey is the main route by which the Muslim ‘refugees’ are getting into Western Europe. We don’t need Turkey at all. Now he’s killing the Yazidis, peaceful Christians, who are fighting against ISIS while fearful of being killed by Turkish troops from behind. They are getting little help from the west and may be wiped out from our ‘allies’ – the Turks. Erdogan is now cosying up to the Russians. Where does he stand. No-one seems to know.
Turkey should be treated as an enemy and all aid should be stopped. Stop all the ‘immigrants’ from Turkey and let Erdogan deal with them. The fake ‘coup’ last year was probably just a clean-up operation to allow him to install a dictatorship which is what all Muslim governments want. Maybe Erdogan will find out what the phrase ‘biting-the-hand-that-feeds-you’ means.

Erdogan has played the waiting game for this opportunity. When finished with the Yazidis he will turn his attention to the Kurds. They are foolish to align with this tryant who will exact his revenge for Kurdish attacks in Turkey.
