This is how civilized societies die. When people don’t feel safe, the government has failed them.

Fearing terror attacks, the majority of people in France are pessimistic about the nation’s security situation, with six in 10 saying they no longer feel safe anywhere according to an IFOP-FIDUCIAL poll.
The survey found that 93 per cent of French believe the threat of more terror attacks is high, and 71 per cent feel the security situation in France has got worse over the last five years.
More broadly, 59 per cent of those polled said they did not feel safe anywhere, with almost one in four (24 per cent) opting to “strongly agree” with the statement.
Reflecting the insecurity respondents said they felt, 69 per cent think the police and gendarmerie are understaffed, and the survey found the French overwhelmingly have a positive view of law enforcement.
The vast majority of respondents (88 per cent) believe France should deport foreigners sentenced to prison for serious offences, and 84 per cent want the country to create more prison places.
A slight majority (55 per cent) would like to see France exit the European Union’s open borders Schengen zone.
With security a major issue in this year’s presidential elections, the survey found Marine Le Pen was judged the candidate with the best policies in both keeping property and people safe (32 per cent) and in the fight against terror (35 per cent).
Some way behind the Front National candidate were Emmanuel Macron (21 per cent citing security of goods and people, 19 per cent fighting terrorism) and Francois Fillon (19 per cent backed the centre-right candidate’s policy solutions in the two areas).
A national state of emergency has been in force in France since Paris suffered one of the worst terror attacks in recent European history in November 2015, when 130 were killed in a series of bombings and shootings across the city.
And in June the following year, a Tunisian migrant deliberately drove a 19-tonne cargo truck into crowds celebrating Bastille Day on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, in an attack which resulted in the deaths of 86 people.
However, terrorism isn’t France’s only worry, as last month saw weeks of violent riots spread through Paris suburbs, with cars torched, windows smashed, and shops looted.

This isn’t surprising. When you have >10% of your population being a part of the largest criminal organisation in the world (Islam- with 1.3billion Muslims globally), then of course you wouldn’t feel safe. You can thank your fellow countrymen & women for electing your weak feckless politicians who are more about appeasing lowlife foreigners and letting them in, than about looking after the people whom they were elected to protect.

Lying, stealing, looting, exploiting , arson, rape, pedophilia, ambushing and assaulting all around total disregard to civil order and human decency. who could feel safe with this being an every day part of life .Many French put on a brave face but the fake bravado is waivering
. The only answer is deport all followers of Islam outlaw mosques and arrest anyone in support of the evil ideaology which is disguised as a religion. Close the borders establish a curfew and ban all refugees .
France could have it’s country back if they took the most extreme methods. But they won’t and it will get worse and we will keep reading here and on other sites the daily acts of terror .
The downfall of France and Europe is an almost certainty it’s a matter of time .
All of us reading and commenting will look back and sadly say we knew this would happen. The many who thought it would all work out ignored the many warnings will shake their heads bewildered as to how it all went so wrong ! that’s called war, and the french seem unable to go to war again. i think all their real men perished over the last 200 years in the napoleanic wars, in the german wars of 1870, 1914, and 1939, followed by further useless deaths in vietnam. funny that france has withered over the two centuries since they decided to throw Christ out of their culture. the present male population seems unable to even kill a chicken if they were starving

11% of france is muslim today. Can the french expect an islam-free france now? No. The frech can never, ever expect an islam-free france now. Islam and muslims are now there to stay. What does this tell us? This tells us that once muslims become more than 10% of the nation, there is no going back. And this is why we are losing irrecoverable time. The people in a civilized world elect leaders to maintain law and order. The ones in power responsible for this must be removed from continuing the destruction. If France and others survive, the system of government must be changed to prevent self-destruction in the future. Maybe they can call it the “Genie Addendum”.

Yes, I don’t see that happening though. Today I got an email it was a petition to help the so called miigrant victims of the ruthless government according to the petition destruction of Calais camp was unfair and now migrants are homeless and starving. Unbelievable people are still going out of their way to hand these invaders everything! It’s seems that no matter how much violence and terror they inflict there are still pending hearts that want to help the very people who want them dead.

Thanks for your supportive comment. However I think you may have misunderstood . I received a care 2 petition in regard to the migrant situation in Calais France . I live in America and with everything that has taken place within the Cali’s migrant camps I am surprised that such a petition calling for additional aide existed .My thoughts being the people of France have endured so much due to these migrants have paid financially over and over . Yet even more $$ are sought.

My mother was French and always told us (I am not French, by the by) not to trust the French and she had good reasons. The French are overall plonkers and will sell out their own wives, sisters and mothers to live another day.

If the mosques of France, UK and U.S. would be as closely monitored as the mosques of Sadat’s EGYPT I would be satisfied. It dawned on me way back in 1993 at the first attack on the WTC that we were taking in Muslims who were too Muslim for Muslim countries!

France…one of the World’s most beautiful and historical countries reduced to living in fear because of irrational immigration allowed by their governing body. Visiting there is endangering your life! This radical immigration overreach by Leftist judges assuming the responsibilities of the POTUS is now being forced on we American citizens. The police need to start shooting.
I lived in Los Angeles during the Watts riots. When the National Guard came in things got very quiet very quickly. Military vehicles with machine guns on the roof top roamed through residential areas and announced on their bull horns “You are under martial law. You have no rights. You must remain in your homes. ANYONE caught on the street after dark WILL BE SHOT. Repeat, anyone caught on the street WILL BE SHOT.”

OMG.
Well what really incredible is that I did not live in the actual riot zone. In fact we were miles away but within the original area that was cordoned off. Once each area was deemed OK they brought the martial law zone into a smaller circle. But I assure you NO ONE was out of their houses for that 48 hours that we knew we would be shot if we left our homes. If the Europeans were to simply fire over their heads as they crossed the borders I can assure you that they would turn around. Gun fire is frightening.

In the ’92’ riots the violence as all over Los Angeles county, people were being killed in Long Beach as well as the San Fernando valley. I seem to remember a fire fighter being shot while on duty.

If there were visitors in your home that you knew would eventually kill you and take over your home, would you evict them while you still had the strength (even if it might violate the law) or would you be politically correct and allow them to stay for fear of offending them? This is the choice France and other Western European countries face.
Unfortunately it won’t be very many years away when the muslims will rule. Then the slaughter will start; Christians will be murdered, churches, historical buildings, statues, art, you name it will be ransacked and destroyed in the name of allah. What a sad, tragic and depressing loss that is coming unless the muslims are removed.

I hate what’s happening to France. Their culture and way of life is under attack. Yes, they can be contrary and downright rude to those who aren’t French, but you can’t deny their contribution to world culture.
The French, unfortunately, have lost their will to fight. They’ve tried to get along, as they did when the Nazis first invaded. But even then the Resistance took the fight to the streets. Granted, many of them were Communists who didn’t like Nazism, but many were those who wanted a free France, out of the Vichy government and the Nazis out of their country.
In both WWs, eventually, America joined the fight and helped out.. Not this time. We have the enemy on our land and have to deal with them here. The French people must get their act together and fight. It’s up to them now.

Sir, I wasn’t in any way castigating you. In late ’66/early ’67 (don’t really remember the exact time) Chuckie was Premier of France — the cruiser Springfield was the 6th fleet flagship in the Med. The cruiser Little Rock was due to relieve her — the home port had been Villafrance (however it’s spelled) for years. She was kicked out of France — Little Rock wound up in Gaeta, Italy. Thank God — Italy was terrific to us. As far as I know, 6th Fleet is still homeported there.
Also during that period, we, the Brits and the Froggies had a joint Naval exercise. As flagship, we were first on site. There was a Russian cruiser chugging around in circles. We didn’t tell them: The Brits didn’t tell them. Guess who?
They suck. Again, I meant no disparagement to you — sorry.

No, no, you’re right.. Everything you wrote is true.. We paved the way to Paris in WWII and then allowed DeGaulle to “triumphantly” drive into the city and lead the way as if he saved it.
Believe me, I am no fan of the French. The French were always screwing up our intelligence, also.. We really didn’t share anything with them because they were always looking for a way to profit for themselves, as your example showed. Playing both sides…
There is one last hope for them: and that is to elect Marine Le Pen.. If they don’t, they’re done for and it’s their fault….And this time: I don’t want to pull their butts out of the fire..
