“Former Yugoslavia”? Why are police being so vague? Might the attacker come from Bosnia or Kosovo? After so much denial, police simply can’t be trusted when they say there was no terrorist motive and that the man had mental health problems — they say that virtually every time there is a terror attack. This might indeed not be one, but the police statements do not inspire confidence.

“Man arrested after injuring seven people in Düsseldorf axe attack,” Guardian, March 9, 2017:
A man was arrested after injuring seven people with an axe at Düsseldorf’s main train station on Thursday night, police have said.
In a statement, they described the man as a 36-year-old from the former Yugoslavia who apparently had mental health problems. Police said three of the victims were seriously injured, with the others suffering minor injuries. The suspect was also injured.
Earlier, a spokesman for federal police had said two people were arrested and further attackers might be on the run. This was later corrected by police who confirmed only one arrest.
Police said there was no indication of a terrorist motive behind the attack….

It’s a lot like the US. Under Obama, conservatives were second-class citizens. To be ignored by all. Then came Trump, and within a month, conservatives now own the road. Almost every new federal political initiative is done by Republicans, and the conservatives who keep an eye on them.

As Pamela has said, the US “dodged the bullet when Trump was elected”, but now a new fight is on the hands of Trump as this Muslim sympathetic, communist and left-wing scum and traitors try to overthrow Trump. Watching this as a foreigner is amazing. Under Obama the U.S. went down the drain like never before and Trump MUST act decisively once he has all the evidence. You are completely correct that the group behavior of conservatives is very different from the group behavior of leftists. Conservatives follow the political philosophy of the Founders, and the Founders were very much influenced by the Bible, and John Locke (UK philosopher). They both emphasized the need for mutual respect, tolerance, and if possible, ‘love thy neighbor’. That’s why we don’t riot. We use the Constitution to get what we want. And if that’s impossible, we get our guns. Why bother with rocks and bottles?

I agree. Conservatism is essentially about liberty and equality. Inequalities inevitably cause differences in liberties. So the two concepts are linked.
Tolerance is vital, up to a point. We are not required to tolerate intolerance, or accept ‘special status’ as a substitute for equality. Example: The now-vanished Black Lives Matter movement was about trying to make blacks special, to force inequalities on Americans. But we succeed when blacks are completely American, and equivalent to others in the mainstream culture.
The effort to make Muslims special won’t work either. We succeed when we make Muslims completely American, and equal to others in the mainstream culture. Muslims who are reluctant to assimilate need to reconsider their future country. Americans just don’t do “special peoples”.

“Former Yugoslavia”? Translation: Mohammedan Bosnia. Or perhaps Islamic Kosovo, as a sort of delayed “thank you” repayment for “liberation” (read: NATO’s aggression) in which also Germany heavily participated. The best proof that Mohammedans were doing that jihad attack also this time is the silence about their identity. I am absolutely certain that if this would be done by anybody else, say Serbs or Croats, all official media would be enthusiastically trumpeting about it just to prove that also non-Mohammedans can be terrorists.

Good point. What if I gave a copy of the Koran to a Buddhist psychiatrist, who knew nothing about Islam? And then I asked him to diagnose the author of the book? I think he might diagnose psychosis, because the values and beliefs in the book make the author unfit to live outside a mental health care facility. He would be too dangerous.

I notice that more police are getting training in mental health problem diagnosis and therapeutic provision.
At my local station there are a range of treatments on offer from one to one counselling all the way to rooms where you can be alone to meditate for hours.

I would cancel plans to go to Europe, all the EU countries. I would not support family going there and would advise friends to not go. It is too dangerous. I boycott the products from there, from all those countries. Till they show good sense, and do what is right for their people.
