Macy’s Pressured to Drop Ivanka Trump Brand [Business Insider] (thanks to Katherine P)
Last week, Nordstrom announced it would be dropping the Ivanka Trump brand from its stores starting in fall 2017, citing flagging sales. One day later, all traces of Ivanka Trump jewelry disappeared from the Neiman Marcus website, and the retailer said that it would be carrying the label only in a handful of stores based on consignment. Now, Macy’s is being pressured to follow suit. The department store’s social media feeds are flooded with comments from customers and #GrabYourWallet boycotters asking Macy’s to drop Ivanka Trump shoes and clothing. According to Business Insider‘s sources, pressure is coming from inside the company as well, with corporate employees reportedly feeling uneasy about marketing the Ivanka Trump brand following the election. Currently, almost all of the 74 products listed for sale are marked down.

The boycott game never works, if retailers think they can emulate the lame stream media by dictating what consumers can think of purchase, then consumers will go to retailers and other sources to spend their diminishing disposable incomes. Under no circumstance will a thinking customer, allow a retailer to dictate what they purchase, not every consumable has to make a statement.

The real adjective is that many who follow the agenda of the democrats (who used to be honorable decades ago, but not anymore) is: follower of the New World Order. “It was put in place for large states with little populations”- no, not quite. It had nothing to do with large states/little populations. It was to prevent ANY state, large or small, from losing its voice in the government by getting steamrolled by states, large or small, with massive populations. As Liz Rice said, the founders did not want places like California and New York (present day) dictating who would be President over the wishes of the rest of the states. Not popular vote, mind you. You are confused in that you must think we live in a pure democracy; we live in a democratic republic. One of the founders described a democracy as two wolves and a sheep deciding what to eat for dinner, which is why they were wise enough not to trust America the the whim of the majority.

The vast majority of communists (aka progressives) are either extremely wealthy or benefits dependent. The wealthy elite would never be caught shopping in Nordstrom’s or Macy’s. They may shop NM, but that’s unlikely. The benefits dependent can’t afford to shop in these stores.
Wow…..sounds like, in reality, their majority consumer base is conservative.
Interesting note: An online news article stated that a study out of Berlin found that 92% of leftist activists live with their parents, and 1 in 3 were unemployed. I suspect the rate unemployment among this group is even higher here in the US, simply because we have a larger segment of our population on benefits / welfare. These stats do not look good for the boycotting retailers.

If they didn’t, none of them would have a store in Beverly Hills, which is no bastion of conservatism. Leftists are into shiny objects, bling and couture fashion. Those skinny gay “designers” on Rodeo Drive aren’t measuring inseams on conservative women.
Remember, to the Left, style, appearance, hipness and cool are the measures of acceptability. They don’t wear their store’s name tags on the outside. If a “line” of products can be seen, touched and smelled, the retailer has a higher likelihood that the customer will buy more than one item. Walking through the “Cosmetics” area of Nordstrom’s, Neiman Marcus, or Macy’s smells like a high class French cat-house. I’m just a man, and that’s my opinion but I could be wrong.

I think its entirely appropriate to boycott Nordstrom for such misdirected vindictive behavior. There are several symptoms that one can flush out from this boycott Nordstrom is placing on Ivanka. To begin, we can all agree that she is being punished for being the President’s daughter, rather than for anything that Ivanka said or did. No court would pass judgement on someone based on lineage, rather than their own conduct. So this in no different to banning someone from admission to a club, sporting event, theater, etc. based on lineage. Another observation is that I don’t know of a Conservative that would act-out in such a cruel, harsh and punitiive way against the child of a Left-Wing Celebrity. We have a higher moral compass. Just to conclude with a teaching from the Talmud: Those who begin by being kind to the cruel, will end by being cruel to the kind.

I’m an avid department store shopper, and can tell you that the displays of her merch have been dead zones for months. People have avoided them like the plague. The people with the money to buy good designer items are well, buying good designer items, and the typical Trump voter is not a department store shopper. I can fully understand the desire of some who are offended by the decisions to stop stocking the Ivanka Trump branded goods to hit back in some way or other. One way of course is to stop buying from these outlets but I’m told that another way of showing displeasure and disdain is to go to the store, gather a large pile of items, take them to the check-out desk and once they’ve been rung up say you’ve changed your mind or have no money on you and walk out. Apparently this is even more effective if groups of people act together and do this at different check-outs at the same time and/or follow each other at the same check-out point. However I could never condone anyone taking such action.

Curiously, Geller makes no mention of the person actually responsible, or her campaign (Shannon Coulter, or her Grab Your Wallet campaign)…smear campaign against Nordstrom mich. If I were Nordstrom, I would hire lawyers to sue a lot of people for lying with malice, claiming that Coulter is instead to blame (the lawsuits would be in WA State, where Nordstrom is headquarted, in Seattle). Those claiming that Nordstrom is being political knew or should have known about Coulter. If they did not, on what else are they ignorant, and why should they be trusted with anything? If they are, how can they be trusted to run the USA when they’ll make decisions on incomplete fact sets? The fact of the matter is that Ivanka’s clothes just weren’t selling. That should have been blatantly obvious…and conservatives weren’t coming to Ivanka’s rescue as they were with L.L. Bean or Under Armour.
