Media spins tales of fake Trump bannings: “I will have to tell my children that Daddy might not be able to come home”

The “woe is me” news stories are rubbish. Sir Mo Farrah is a British citizen, so he will be able to enter the US. The ban is only for people who are citizens of those counties. The whiners in this article have British passports, so there’s no issue.

Further, the British media were solidly behind my ban. When UK Prime Minister Theresa May banned Robert Spencer and me from entering the UK because of our opposition to jihad terror, the UK press was glad of it. But Trump’s responsible national security measure has them spinning Islamic tales. Blind sharia adherence in the media is an unending constant.

Story continues below advertisement

The inconvenience caused to individuals does not outweigh the safety and well-being of the majority.

International travel is not a right. People affected by the ban should perhaps reflect upon the reasons why their country of birth is regarded as a haven of terror. Better still, they could do something about it.

‘I will have to tell my children that Daddy might not be able to come home’: Sir Mo Farah slams Trump migrant ban as an MP and other Brits complain they can’t go to the US now and one is left stranded

  • President Trump has issued a 90-day ban on people entering from 7 countries
  • Sir Mo was born in Somalia, one of countries on list and is training in Ethiopia
  • Could mean he’s barred from re-entering US, where he and family live in Oregon
  • There is travel chaos across the world as one UK citizen stranded in Costa Rica
  • Iraqi-born Tory MP for Stratford Nadhim Zahawi can’t visit his son living there

Sir Mo Farah has criticised Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown which he fears may ban him from returning home to his wife and daughters who live in the US.

The President signed an executive order on Friday which prevents any citizen of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the US for 90 days.

One of those countries is Somalia, the birthplace of Britain’s most successful athlete who won double Olympic gold medals in 2012 and 2016.

The long-distance runner, who is currently training in Ethiopia, lives with his family in Oregon.

Sir Mo wrote on Facebook: ‘On 1st January this year, Her Majesty The Queen made me a Knight of the Realm. On 27th January, President Donald Trump seems to have made me an alien.

‘I am a British citizen who has lived in America for the past six years – working hard, contributing to society, paying my taxes and bringing up our four children in the place they now call home.

‘Now, me and many others like me are being told that we may not be welcome. It’s deeply troubling that I will have to tell my children that Daddy might not be able to come home – to explain why the President has introduced a policy that comes from a place of ignorance and prejudice.’

‘I was welcomed into Britain from Somalia at eight years old and given the chance to succeed and realise my dreams. I have been proud to represent my country, win medals for the British people and receive the greatest honour of a knighthood.

‘My story is an example of what can happen when you follow polices of compassion and understanding, not hate and isolation.

Sir Mo still does not know if the ban applies to him because even though he was born in Somalia, he now only holds a British passport. Due to return home in a few weeks, he is seeking to clarify the situation with the US authorities.

The sudden ban has affected dozens of other British residents, many of whom have been trapped in transit, unable to fly to the US.

Airlines such as British Airways and Virgin Atlantic are offering refunds to customers whose travel plans have been ruined.

One woman affected is Hamaseh Tayari, a UK resident with an Iranian passport, who was stranded in Costa Rica after being denied boarding a flight home to Glasgow because it was due to stop-over in New York.

Hamaseh Tayari (left), a UK resident with an Iranian passport, is banned from the US. So is Iranian-born student Naz Jahanshahi (right)

The distraught vet, who was on holiday with her boyfriend, said: ‘This has shocked me. We just discovered [what Trump did] at the airport when we went to check in.

‘I want people to know this isn’t just happening to refugees. I am a graduate and have a PhD. It has happened to a person who is working and pays tax.’

Ms Tayari has found a different route home and will shortly return to Glasgow.

She said: ‘We had been saving for months for this holiday and it will cost me a month’s salary just to get home’.

Iranian-born physics student Naz Jahanshahi, from Manchester, was devastated to learn that she may have to cancel a trip to the US with her boyfriend

Awww, poor babies, they come from a nation known for terrorism and brute ignorance, now they are not getting their way because of the reputation of the entire islamic world. If muslims and somalis don’t like the society they try imposing themselves on, the freedom to leave is always there. Saying you have a phd is hogwash, firstly most degrees from islamic nations alleged schools are not the equivalent of middle school anywhere else. There is sufficient records of murderous terrorists to have been doctors or other allegedly educated people. What islam has planted, muslims will harvest.

I couldn’t tell which one was supposed to be Mo’s wife, given Sharia. Terrified that the reality is he doesn’t bother to differentiate.

The MSM is fake news. Always has been. They just caught caught enough times, and enough people are angry, that they can’t get away with it anymore. So, they whine and squirm and get all up in your face about it.

Losers need to get sent to camp reality for a while.

Nobody has a right, not a right, to come here. Period.

Another one, Michael Kimmelman, NY Times columnist and writer of some great art books, sent around a tweet the other day expressing outrage that the late architect Zaha Hadid (born in Iraq) wouldn’t be able to see her own buildings! It didn’t matter to him that she was a British citizen so the ban wouldn’t apply to her. Bogus injustice.

Oh, they’re all so “devastated” that for a few months they cannot come to the US. (Yet the US is supposedly such a bad place in their view.) Oh the cryings and carryings on for a missed vacation, a trip postponement, the gnashing of teeth for being kept away from America for awhile!!!!! And one woman even had to change her flight plans because they plane to Glasgow was making a pit stop in America. Change her flight plans! What evil is this? Devastating! Nightmarish!
CRY ME A RIVER.
Better them than US being devastated over the mass-murders of loved ones and fellow Americans.

How often have the leftist insane media held up a muslim as the role model of moderate, only to find they are soon after involved in terrorism.
The left never seem to learn.

Yeah well “daddy” wil have to try another time to blow up the white house.
Come on, really? Maybe 1 percent of American Muslims are loyal to America.
I want to see the cameras take a good hard look at America’s Muslim population and expsoe them for what they really are.

Once again a false sense of entitlement to travel freely, internationally to the United States. I’m a Canadian citizen and I know the reality that I can be turned around at the border for no reason at all. A border official can not like my mannerisms and refuse me entry. I accept this, because IT IS NOT MY RIGHT TO ENTER THE USA. It is a privilege, and a privilege that has been abused by many. More vetting is needed, and this is where it starts. I can foresee all dual-citizens will have to give up there passports for their native land and basically choose, that you are solely an American, subject to the same inspections, secondary inspections, etc, that all people crossing the border may have to endure. The MSM has turned this into a huge ordeal. The “chaos” reported is only by protesters. This is a 90 day reevaluation of lack security measures and inefficient vetting that needs to be examined, refined and then implemented. At the pace they are going, they’ll probably have a draft of new measures up by next week and this will all be in the past. Are good people affected? Of course, but unfortunately this is a sign of the times. Security first, political correctness last.

How dare they. Misogyny is the basis of their religion. Are we insane taking any notice of them..Go for it Donald as Carter and Obama did the same for 6 months. We in Europe are too pathetic.

I am sickened by the screaming ignorance or utter stupidity of the protesting crowds and fawning MSM “reporters” at airports, etc., with signs accusing us of being racist and worse for just wanting to take reasonable measures to try to protect our citizens from the depredations by those who follow islamic ideology and have sworn to kill us. Besides that, being muslim is NOT a race, it is an ideology and vicious system of governance that demands submission or death for all who reject or resist their beliefs. There is NO RIGHT for non-citizens of the U.S. to come to our country and all those that claim we have to let anyone in that wants to come here are way off track. And contrary to some of the signs I have seen our Constitution DOES NOT say we have to accept everyone or else be considered inhumane and unfair. And if they do get here they DO NOT have a constitutional right to stay. Our Constitution and Bill of Rights apply to American citizens but liberal courts and bureaucrats have twisted and purposely misinterpreted or just made up “rights” out of thin air for non-citizens so they can get on the government dole at our expense. It has got to stop and has truly become an issue of national security.

Try getting into an Arab/Muslim country with an Israeli passport or one with even an Israeli stamp on it. These faux riots by the usual dykes and rent-a mob are making me sick.
Go for it Donald big time….make this just a small start.
F*** the ‘Oscars’ I will not be watching and names will be noted. How many of these ‘entertainers’ scum have left America? Sadly NONE.
