Counter-terrorism officers at London’s Heathrow airport have arrested a man suspected of committing terror offences.
The man was detained after getting off a plane from Egypt. However, officials said the man was not associated with ISIS.
Counter-terrorism agents in London said the man’s arrest was pre-planned as he was flagged during an investigation into terrorism abroad.
“He has been arrested under s58 TACT (possession of articles containing information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism”, said a police spokesman.
In December, a 22 year old man was arrested on suspicion of preparing for terror attacks after police discovered that he was involved in conflicts overseas.
