Yes, ban the burqa — it is a national security necessity

By Pamela Geller, The Hill, November 23, 2016:

screen-shot-2016-11-23-at-3-36-32-pm

Georgia State Rep. Jason Spencer, a Republican, has given up his efforts to get his state to adopt a bill that, according to the Washington Post, would have forbidden wearing masks or other face coverings in public, and would have “banned men and women from wearing clothing that conceals their faces when posing for their drivers’ license photos or while driving on state roadways.”

If Western women are not allowed to dress as they want to in Islamic nations and are forced to wear religious head covering, then Muslim women should likewise be asked to comply with Western norms in our lands.

Ban all Sharia finance and bulldoze all mosques – OR allow Sharia Finance to massively expand and continue to fund jihad terror and every mosque to dominate every area they are built in, spreading the Islamic ideology that seeks to destroy and replace American and Western laws.

Besides the fact that I have seen better dressed bullet wounds, it is also a crime fighting measure. In the US, it is even unlawful to enter a bank wearing a ski mask even in snow country. The best news story yet came out of FL where a woman could not fathom why she could not wear her burqa for her driver license photo. Hey diltz, it is called an ID for a reason.

Catti

In Kanaduhstan they get to wear full face coverings for their driver’s license and other ID photos. It all stems from a famous lawfare case during our last election where the skank wanted to wear a full face niqab while swearing in as a citizen. She got her way and so did the Liberal Party who were sponsoring the stunt, along with a local terrorist organization, ICNA. They got to vote wearing their burkas as well. So did four male reporters who dressed in burka to see if they could vote without being asked for ID.

Speaking of drivers’ licenses, in Quebec when a muzz flunks the driving test, they get handed their driver’s licenses anyway. Here in Toronto I’ve seen some extreme crazy driving by burkas behind the wheel.

The truth is, not just symbols of the Muhammadism-conspiracy, the whole Muhammadism-conspiracy must be banned & exposed
Superficiality to just ban certain aspects of the Muhammadism-conspiracy for human rights, security, tolerance & propaganda reasons is a crime as it leaves humanity harassed by the Muhammadism-conspiracy defenseless, without political & intellectual fundament & security.
It’s necessary to be decisive against the Muhammadism-conspiracy as people are murdered, tortured, crucified, enslaved & manipulated.

Did you know: There’s slavery today of Africans in Saudi Arabia, Mauritania(25%,50%?of population), new north Sudan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Oman, Algeria, Lebanon, Qatar (?), Pakistan, UAE, Niger, Libya, Nigeria, Chad, Mali, Somalia & elsewhere inspired by sadist, racist slaver tyrant, inventor of slavery of Africans, child-rapist & pederast, mass-murderer, theist psychopath, genital mutilationist, clitodirectomist Muhammad who owned Africans as slaves & said that his deity turned Africans black, so their descendants would be slaves to Arabs & Turks (Abeed means African & slave in Arabic,) (Read more about sadist, racist slaver Muhammad at WikiIslam). & IslamicState stated they want to revive slavery of Africans in America.
White Anti-African racists & Muhammadism Out of Africa!

Lots of talk about security as the main reason to ban the burka. Yes, it’s a major concern, but it’s not the only one. Islamics spin a lot of lies about “modesty” and “religious obligation” but the real reason they adopted this garb back in the late 1970’s at the behest of the Iranian Ayatollahs, is due to Islamist supremacy. Supremacists adopt bizarre clothing, both to distinguish themselves from the “riff raff” and to intimidate others. That’s why the KKK wears their hooded costumes, and it’s the same with the hooded burka.

Modesty? Nope. They wear this stuff to stand out and attract attention. Even the full body black burkas are pretty hard to miss. “Look, I’m a Muslim – you’d better let me have my own way or else!!” Notice the hijabis, whose headgear is covered in sequins, jewels, beads, gold and silver embroidery, noisy floral prints… this is not “modest” dress, it screams “look at me! I’m special! I’m Muslim!! You’d better not annoy me or I’ll scream ‘hate crime’!” You’d think that people who are truly concerned about being attacked in the streets would want to blend in, not stand out.

Their attitude matches their dress as well – pushy, arrogant, entitled. They are professional victims and whiners, and this manner of dress means they can make fake hate crime accusations more easily, since they’re so easy to spot in public. Notice their men never whine about being attacked in the streets? My neighbourhood is full of them, as is my apartment building, so I see it every time I walk out of my door.

The KKK hood can conceivably be banned for the same reason the niqab can be banned—not possible to identify who is who—without violating the First Amendment, as the hijab isn’t banned. (A special exception for Halloween or specific costume-themed events would need to be built in.)

The hijab and other Islamic clown costumery can be banned without touching the First Amendment. The onus would be on Islam to prove that wearing such gear is an absolute religious obligation, literally that “if you don’t wear it, you’re not a Muslim”. Since there are millions of practicing Muslims who do not wear the traditional dress, there goes that argument. Another point is that Islam is a 3000 year old theocracy which has gone virtually unchanged, yet the headgear was only adopted in the late 1970’s when the Iranian Ayatollahs decreed it. However, their holy books do not decree that this manner of dress be worn. If it’s not in the Koran and other books, it’s not a religious obligation in Islam.

In addition, there are numerous jurisdictions which ban the Islamic dress successfully without Islamic lawfare challenges to strike down the ban. This is because it’s easy to prove that this garb is worn not out of religious obligation or modesty but as a direct assault on Western culture. Burkas are outlawed in public spaces in Holland, France, Germany, and Turkey. That’s right, Merkel’s Germany and Erdogan’s Turkey.

Other than the niqab/burqa, such a ban wouldn’t survive strict scrutiny in the courts (i.e., what vested government interest is served?). Other Western countries are not relevant to the American situation.

I’m not an American constitutional lawyer so I won’t try to argue your point. It’s a complex issue with many factors that would need to be considered. Other countries’ bans could be relevant as precedent or example. In Canada our ban on face coverings (only during citizenship swearing in ceremonies) was struck down, but on a legal technicality, not because the judge thought it was a good idea to be masked like a criminal while swearing in as a citizen.

A burqa ban actually could pass Constitutional muster (need to identify who is who). That said, it has to be passed first so that it can be litigated.

No, because I can’t identify who is who under the hood, and it is absolutely important that such be possible for security reasons. The burqa poses the same problem.

I never thought I’d agree with you on anything, but I’m wrong in this case.
Do you thing burqas, Klan hats or hijabs constitute a safety threat while driving?
Do you support the “right” of muslimahs to wear face obscuring garments while being photographed for government ID’s/drivers’ licenses?

The only one I would permit are hijabs, as one can still keep the head on a swivel while wearing that, and the hijab still permits the display of most critical features of a face (excluding ears). I would not allow a Muslim woman to wear anything more restrictive than that; however, a restriction would be that it must be peeled back to just before the ears. The burqa/niqab can and should be prohibited in public.

It is impossible for drivers wearing burkas to maintain peripheral vision to see motorcycles. As a public safety concern this clothing is oppressive to vision and therefore is a clear and present danger to those who ride motorcycles.

I like that what Pamela Geller wrote that the media is called “enemedia”. As in, they are an “enema” upon our very ideals and foundations that made America Great….once a long time ago. Why don’t We The People start up a petition to continue GA State Rep. Jason Spencer’s Bill, banning face masks, face coverings in public, to get ID s – which is what an ID is meant for ….IDENTIFICATION! How can any investigations on a case involving federal crimes, state crimes, i.e. murder, burglary, robberies, etc, be complete if they can’t identify suspects wearing face coverings, like burkas? Crime will go up considerably, no one can be identified, hence no one is safe! Unbelievable that although the world has gone insane with these people, our own country has to follow suit?! Yes, people have “rights”, only those who are legal citizens, and if they claim their religious preferences forbids their unveiling of their faces in order to obtain an ID for a driver’s license, then something has to change. Drivers licenses do show a person’s eye color, hair color, and height, so maybe include facial coloring, type if face as in roundness, square chin, oval, etc., cheek bones set high or normal, shape of mouth, shape of eyes, any distinctive marks on the face (moles, etc.)….the person filling out the application for a driver’s license would be required to physically write in these facial descriptions or be denied a driver’s license. It’s either that or ban the burkas or these people can just leave the United States!!!

Limits of religious freedom end when you insist on your religious beliefs which will be a security breech within our country. All it takes is one suicide bomber to dress in a burqa and then do their worst. And to let them take a picture for the drivers license which is used all over for id, that is worse than insane!
