Theodore Shoebat Joins the Jihad, Says ‘Pamela Geller Is Worthy of Death’

55

UPDATE from Pamela Geller: “I have, for some time, been aware of the sleazy, fraudulent behavior of the Shoebats. Their material is unreliable and, in many cases, untrue. Their attacks and false accusations against other counter jihadists (myself included) in the past were unforgivable. But I did not publicly denounce them because this is a war and you do not attack your own. But once Theodore Shoebat called for my death, all bets were off. “Son of ex-jihadi shows that old jihadi habits die hard” …. indeed.Robert Spencer’s piece at Front Magazine is a must-read.”

[the_ad id=”81586″]

Islamic jihadis calling for the murder of foes of jihad is one thing. People putatively on our side calling for the murder of foes of jihad is another. When I saw that Ted Shoebat was saying that Pamela Geller was “worthy of death,” I wrote this piece for FrontPage:

Theodore Shoebat Joins the Jihad, Says ‘Pamela Geller Is Worthy of Death

Son of ex-jihadi shows that old jihadi habits die hard.

theodore-shoebat

These are times that try men’s souls, and it happens occasionally that when tried, some souls reveal that they’re not what they appear to be. Several days ago, I received an email from an FBI special agent, saying that he wanted to speak with me and asking for contact information for Pamela Geller. The agent was looking for us, he told me when he got me on the phone, because he had a duty to notify us that the bureau had picked up word that a Muslim had mentioned our names and was looking for us in order to kill us. And now that jihadi has an unlikely ally, at least in wanting Pamela Geller dead: a putative foe of jihad terror, Theodore Shoebat.

[the_ad id=”81586″]

Theodore Shoebat runs the website Shoebat.com, which many take as a reliable source for news of jihad activity that the mainstream media does not deign to report. Shoebat.com, however, has a reputation for sensationalistic unreliability: to take one notorious example, it posted a photo of a young German woman holding a sign reading, “Will Trade Racists For Rapists.” Amazing! Shocking! Astonishing proof of the suicidal stupidity of the European Left! There was just one catch: the sign was photoshopped. The original read, “Will Trade Racists for Refugees.” Shoebat.com never acknowledged this or retracted its original post.

In this, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Theodore Shoebat is the son of Walid Shoebat, who styles himself an ex-Muslim and reformed jihadist. Walid Shoebat, who certainly has demonstrated a broad knowledge of Islam and the jihad threat, has been challenged repeatedly, most notably on CNN, to substantiate his claims about his past. Several years ago I myself gave him a chance to answer all the charges against his veracity in a video interview; in purporting to do so, Walid Shoebat talked for a long time, said very little of substance, and left the principal charges of his own dishonesty unanswered. In personal exchanges more recently, I was struck by his dishonesty again.

And now this. In a video posted last Thursday, Theodore Shoebat says: “Pamela Geller is worthy of death.” Her crime? Appearing at a “Gays for Trump” event along with gay activist Milo Yiannopoulos at the Republican National Convention in July. For that, says the learned Shoebat the younger, “In Biblical law, in the government of Christendom, she is worthy of death.”

Is that so? Yes, says Theodore, because Romans 1:32 speaks of those who “having known the justice of God, did not understand that they who do such things, are worthy of death, and not only they that do them, but they also that consent to them that do them.” Pamela Geller is not homosexual, you see, but by appearing at the event, she gave “consent” to those who are, and thus she also is “worthy of death.”

Theodore Shoebat doesn’t mention that this passage refers not only to men who “have burned in their lusts one towards another,” but also to those who are guilty of “iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness,” and are “full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malignity, whisperers,” as well as “detractors, hateful to God, contumelious, proud, haughty, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,” and those who are “foolish, dissolute, without affection, without fidelity, without mercy” (Romans 1:26-31). All of these people are, in the Apostle Paul’s view, “worthy of death.”

Why, then, do we not see Christians (or at least Christians outside of hysterical Hollywood fantasies) committing mass murder, bent on killing everyone who is envious, haughty, and disobedient to his parents? Because Paul’s saying that these people are “worthy of death” is not a call for mass executions and a reign of terror, but part of his argument that all people have sinned and are in need of the divine mercy.

In today’s overheated and jihad-preoccupied environment, however, Theodore Shoebat’s charge that Pamela Geller is worthy of death is not theological musing, but arguable incitement to murder. If his father was indeed a jihadi, Theodore’s words demonstrate that old habits and mindsets die hard, and aren’t always effaced by a change of creed: Theodore Shoebat, like his father in his jihadi days, apparently wants to see those who challenge his religious ideas dead, and thinks he is being righteous in calling for the deaths of those whom he hates.

In contrast, I oppose jihad terror and Islamic supremacism not because I want to substitute Christian supremacism for it, but because I believe in the extraordinary wisdom of the Founding Fathers in mandating that Congress shall not establish a state religion for the United States of America. In a society in which people will inevitably differ on fundamental questions, the idea that we must put up with one another and live peacefully despite our disagreements is our only alternative to a society in which the adherents of one religion (or secular belief-system) attempt to gain and enforce hegemony over their fellow citizens of other beliefs and creeds.

I don’t believe in Islam and don’t wish to live under a government that forces me to conform to its sensibilities; nor do I wish to live under a Christian government that forces non-Christians to conform to its sensibilities. This is not by any means to equate Islam with Christianity, or to engage in any moral equivalence between the two; Islam’s doctrines of warfare against and subjugation of unbelievers are without parallel in authentic or traditional Christianity. But that is not the Christianity of Theodore Shoebat.

Theodore Shoebat has substituted one tyranny for another. He represents what free people who wish to live in a free society must resist.

Finally, about time someone brings light to these pathological deranged, batshit insane, self-deluded attention seeking con-artists. It always seemed to me, and especially after reading stuff about the son and the mental diarrhea he writes, that their whole objective was to tarnish the image of the anti-Jihad, anti-terror movement and Christianity in general. They’re like an even crazier version of Michele Bachmann.

I linked here from that post, Thank You!!!!

I do not subscribe to or visit Shoebat with any regularity. About a year ago they attacked Johnathan Cain, as a Christian all I asked was “shouldn’t we pray for this brother instead of cutting him to ribbons?” A 3 day war of words insued between all the followers, Sr. shoebat included, and myself. The more I made the Biblical point to pray for a strengthen a brother in error the meaner they got. I actually had a 15 year old kid, a Catholic convert, who had not been baptized, trying to teach me SCRIPTURE!

If you are familiar with these riotous Catholics (not painting with a broad brush) only the ways of “The Law” will do for them. They have completely blinded and brainwashed these “followers” like mice to the pied piper.

I’m non denominational, and a true Christian, I don’t judge Catholics because I don’t believe what they do….. I Pray for them….just as CHRIST would direct me too.

I’m all for self defense, its biblical. Personally, as a last defense! This group is a gang of haters, I look in there every 3 months or so to see if any of my prayer is doing any good. Hopefully others have seen through this facade and will drop them as I did.

We must be aware of these hardliners who want to take judgement into there own hands. They give good Christ loving Catholics a bad wrap.
God Bless, and buckle up…..its going to get very rough soon.

He has majored in the sensational, as the article pointed out. Not a good representative of a changed man supposedly following Jesus. He should read and study ALL the book or Romans, especially the first 8 chapters, before opening his mouth about who or what is worthy of death. He ignores the mercy of God in dealing with man, and fails to point all that ALL have sinned, he included: Romans 3:23.

It is an uncomfortable question. But has Theodore become a revert to Islam, but using a distortion of Christian doctrine as a false flag operation to call for your death, Pamela?
I appreciate your understanding of what the Apostle Paul intended for his audience. It is high-end “Don’t let the pot call the kettle black” and is an extension of the lifestyle expressions of Jesus: a man who dined with sinners and prostitutes.

I wonder how Saul/Paul explained away Yeshua’s dining habits? Especially considering he never met, nor even saw Yeshua face-to-face and in the flesh.

Ignorance and idiocy. How unsurprisingly typical.

Let’s review for the sake of clarity.

Paul (Saul) of Tarsus was a highly-educated Jewish Pharisee, student of Gamaliel, and keeper of Judaic Law (Laws of Moses, Levitical Law, etc.). He came to believe that Jesus was indeed the Messiah (Moshiach ben David) of Israel, as did many Jews. The letter of Paul was to the non-Jewish Romans, who were included in this community of faith and ideas.

Everything Paul writes is from the perspective or view of a Jewish scholar (rabbi in common modern parlance), and must be considered within that context–an extremely important foundation when studying these texts.

As an example, later in this same letter Paul asks “What advantage then has the Jew, or what profit of circumcision? Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were given the oracles of God.” Then Paul goes on to teach that Jewish identity, Jewish commandment of circumcision, and even keeping the Law blamelessly, as good as all that is, actually is not enough without the right attitude and genuine response toward the Almighty within the realm of Truth, accompanied by a rejection of wrongdoing and a pursuit of good deeds.

In Paul’s letter to the Romans, which Shoebat blatantly misuses, Paul FIRST teaches that everyone actually knows there is a Creator (King of the Universe, “Melech Ha’ Olam) ) because of the evidence shown forth by creation itself. “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made … so that they are without excuse.” It is a very Jewish call to conscience to respond in a genuine way to the Almighty, based on clear evidence of existence of the Creator, (whom the Romans were rebelling against, essentially, “because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.”)

Next Paul addresses IDOLATRY, condemning it soundly, in another hearkening back to Sinai (I.e., first we recognize there is G-D, then we have no other gods before Him). “Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” He does this to prepare them for the understanding that there are those who have made idols of their own bodies, and in so doing, are worshipping the creation rather than the Creator. All very heady stuff, in a way. And he points out the fact that one bit of idolatry often leads to a slippery slope of all of the other things included in Paul’s list of examples of rebellion against the Almighty, things which distance us from G-d, and which lead to death, ultimately. In the segment referenced out of context by the amazingly unlearned Theodore Shoebat, Paul discusses the coming judgement OF THE ALMIGHTY against the practices and people of unrighteousness. It’s an important list of behaviors and actions people can take, that are not in accordance with G-d.

What Paul writes is NOT a call to murder, or a call for the “death penalty” for individuals. Paul condemns such things. Essentially, Paul is hearkening his non-Jewish pupils to the Commandments, to Sinai, to the history of captivity as punishment for disregarding the pursuit of righteousness and righteous deeds (mitzvot).

As a point in fact, Paul goes on in the letter, referencing the Tenach, telling them not to busy themselves with passing judgement on each other–specifically because the conclusion of the matter, according to the Jewish Prophets, is that no one is righteous and most do things that are “worthy of death.”

Paul is warning people just like Shoebat: “With your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. It’s BASIC JEWISH TEACHING on the need to respond to the Almighty with the right attitude, as well as by ones deeds. Without help from, and obedience to the Jewish Messiah, Paul teaches that no one can succeed in this quest.

It’s incredibly disturbing to me that we see the incomprehensible and terrible, undeserved, ages-old fury against Jews surfacing in this way–by those who defy the very teaching they claim to adhere to. Theodore Shoebat takes his place among the deniers of truth of this Book, of goodness, and of common sense.

A minor point, but if Shoebat cares to mince the finer points about the actions of Pamela Geller during the RNC, I would like to remind him that she was speaking on the topic of Trump, and not speaking on the topic of the promoting homosexuals. I would also like to remind this know-nothing that first, he knows nothing, but second, the battle for Liberty and the great Judeo-Christian heritage of this country owes a debt to two such men, among others, that he mistakenly condemns (as if he sits on the Throne of the G-d Himself)–namely, Jim Hoft and Milo Yiannopoulos. I would also like to remind him that (homosexual) Alexander the Great had a vision from the Almighty, and consequently left Jerusalem and Israel alone, after honoring the high priest. These things, in no way, mean that the Almighty promotes sexual misconduct.

Pamela–leave these Wild Donkeys to their own devices. Their stupidity and their misdeeds will catch up to them at some point. Ignore them. The Shoebats are a troubling matter–a site often full of misleading information mixed in with occasional leads that are worth pursuing. Frankly, I’ve always considered them untrustworthy and dangerous purveyors of half-truths.

This twisting of historic, Jewish-sourced, foundational First-Century religious texts, that in every way contradict Shoebat’s belief and actions regarding the matter at hand, published in an attempt to threaten and smear you–is just more of the same.

More of Paul’s writings on how to go to heaven:
Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Daddy Shoebat went straight for my jugular, when I dared to question
him on his son’s murderous rantings regarding homosexuals, about a year

one hand they decry Islamic tyranny whilst simultaneously promulgating a
murderous tyranny of their own!!! Little Teddy didn’t reply but his bully father did, with legal threats and a nasty, childish personal attack. I was accused of slander for pointing out the obvious.
In that moment, Shoebat’s real agenda became apparent. The incorrigible Shoebat’s have simply wallpapered their supremacist views, with a very thin veneer of biblical Christianity. In truth they are no different to the pigs in Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’ threatening a bloody crusade for ‘justice’ when all they really want is power.

That saddens me to hear. As a jewish guy, it’s hard for me to listen to those who erase the ‘sinners’ et al, and such. I wouldn’t have thought Walid was so inclined but I guess you’ve warned me that it might indeed be where he is right now. Which is sad really… the utopianism that is the Left, the utopianism that is Islam both have the same terrible urge to erase their enemies, and belief in the tyranny to accomplish their ‘supremacy’
Seeing shoebat as a utopian supremicist saddens me, since there are relatively few anti jihadists and a ton of jihadists hiding in plain sight laughing and snearing and lying there way thru these painful times…..
the fight continues.

This issue is bigger than jihad but jihad is a key feature of the current global chaos being unleashed in the world. I believe there exists a hidden hand in history, which drives seminal world events, comprised of an unholy alliance of strange bedfellows. These odd companions include some of those who follow Islam, among other supremacist philosophers who cloak themselves in the religious garb of either the church or the state (or both). They have long met in secret, are adept at the manipulation of the mob, the stirring up of chaos and the provision of so-called ‘solutions’ to the problems they create. It is the dialectic of history and best we all start getting our heads around it before we find ourselves utterly balkanized, in hate-filled ghettos of mutually assured destruction.

A slight correction if I may……when I said ‘some of those who follow Islam’ I meant only ‘some’ are aware of or party too, the deeper machinations of their globalist brethren. If however, I was making a general reference to the the ‘followers of Islam’ I would assert most proffer either a soft or hard version of ideological bigotry, dependent on the prevailing conditions at the time.

The utopians have always found a man centered perfection to be their goals, and it doesn’t really matter about the differences, ie the Left, nor Islam, nor national socialism, nor marxism, et al. The ideology’s all worship the control of all nations into one nation by the hands of elites who know what’s best. They believe it, by eliminating all uncomfortable facts that might show the historical failure of their beliefs let alone the horror causes by their history. So… here we are.
I get your jist, but as another commenter below ‘erroneously’ replied- ‘masons’, it’s short sighted to pull out a plum like that, and assert the answer.
However it does give pause- I do hope that Robert Spencers
succinct and blunt:
“…In contrast, I oppose jihad terror and Islamic supremacism not because I want to substitute Christian supremacism for it, but because I believe in the extraordinary wisdom of the Founding Fathers in mandating that Congress shall not establish a state religion for the United States of America. To which this jew says, Amen.

Either way, any person or group who attempts to paint China in a positive light is schilling for the NWO in one way or another. There are those who argue the whole Chinese socio-economic experiment has been purposed to deliver a model for future global governance. In that case I suggest ‘buyer beware’ when anyone promotes China as any kind of ally or ideal to which we should aspire. Given the Shoebat’s naked ambition it is no surprise they would admire a tyrannical regime of this nature.

He’s misusing the Holy Scripture: Christianity is not Islam. But he is indicating that maybe he believes that both religions serve the same god. That is not so. Yahweh and Allah are two different entities. Yahweh is the Almighty, the Father, His son is Jesus Christ who is also Divinity and humanity. Allah is no god.

All those groups may be worthy of death, but the whole point is that because of Christ, their sin is dealt with- if they turn from their wicked ways and believe in Christ. He died for their sins, too. The Gospel and Epistles aren’t just about the death sentence, but also about the death, resurrection and salvation of Christ, which Shoebat doesn’t acknowledge in his comments.

It’s good to discover who is untrustworthy in this war.

The Kurdistan Brothers – Muslim Converts –

A brother is born for adversity according to an old proverb and the two brothers in the following story illustrate the truth of that saying. When the younger one broke with tradition the older one wanted to break his neck. This is the true story of Syeed and Kocka, two brothers from Kurdistan who were adversaries until their minds, and hearts and lives were unshackled.

The Shoebats are Romanists not biblical Christians. They represent an extreme faction inside the Catholic Church. If you read deeply into their website you see that they allow various passions to take them over. They allow opposition to homosexuality to become an evil passion.
And they promote the idea of a grand war with Islam.
Suppose Shoebat senior and followers never really became Christians at all, but are still Islamists. The goal of Islamists is that grand world war against the Crusaders.
Yesterday he was an Islamist wanting a war with the Crusaders (their term for Christians.) And today he is Romanist, wanting a Crusader war against Islam.
Both are the same thing – The Shoebats may well be Islamist plants, whose goal is grow opposition to Islam into murderous war and thus accomplish what the terrorists want.

another thing, those who deny Israel’s right’s as a (those who follow Christ Jesus) nation are either ignorant of Scripture or they are antisemitic – Christianity Is Hebraic – Jesus came from the linage of David!
Shoebat needs to repent, I don’t always agree with Pamela But calling for her life is of Sa’tan. Pamela’s head screwed on better then many Christian’s I’ve witnessed!

Forgive us
Pamela,

I have to know: You have two monotheistic religions- Judaism and Islam, but one of them is very prone to violence while the other isn’t. What is the main reason for this difference? The guy in the picture looks so much like a nice yeshiva boy. Is it just the ‘hidden’ ‘6th’ ‘pillar of Islam’ or is it something else?
Thank you.

The issue is domination.

Domination is present in every one of us. It is especially, but by no means exclusively present in Radical Islam, the Shoebat’s background. Before you can really represent Christ and do his work, this tendency to dominate must be cleaned out of the soul.

Homosexuality is not the will of God, it is an abhorrence to him. Pam Geller believes that homosexuality is ok, but I don’t agree with her and neither does the Bible.

However, no homosexual or anyone who believes that it is ok, has ever been convinced by domination, by a thundering of the Biblical text.

Authentic Christianity has within it a gentleness, a winsomeness, that is very hard for someone from a strong background of domination to grasp.

I have personally had a very long journey out of homosexuality. Ceasing to practise it was just the beginning of my journey. Unravelling the emotional dysfunction that underlay it and gave rise to it has taken a lifetime of exposure to the kindness of God.

Sensationalism, graphic pictures and threats of violence do not build the Kingdom of God.

Pam is wrong to affirm homosexuality, it is unbiblicalshoebat is wrong to affirm violence as a response to that, also an unbiblical. Both are quite correct in their opposition to Islam

Thank you. C

It’s really grotesque the way he shows Scripture:
He mentions Romans 1:26-32 to build his case,……and he forgets about the next verse!!!….and the next verse condemns him!!!
Next verse?. Here:
Romans 2:1

” Therefore you have no excuse, whoever you are, when you judge others; for in passing judgement on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.”

Amazing ignorance.
