Pamela Geller, American Thinker: Catholic School Principal Doubles Down on Terror-Tied CAIR Presentation @SPCHSBarons

92

Read the letter the quisling principal sent to parents, justifying his invitation to have a terror-tied CAIR speaker address the children at his Catholic school.

Father Rosin, where is the invitation for Wafa Sultan, Ibn Warraq, Haider Elias (Yezidi leader) or any voice for the victims of jihad to speak?

Catholic School That Invited Pro-Jihad Speaker Doubles Down

Story continues below advertisement

By Pamela Geller

In mid-March I published an article in World Net Daily about an incident at St. Petersburg Catholic High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, Last month, the entire student body was called together to hear a deceptive presentation on “Islamophobia” from the notorious Ahmed Bedier, who openly supports the jihad terror group Hizb’allah and has worked for the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Now the principal of St. Petersburg Catholic High, Fr. Richard Rosin, is making a clumsy attempt at damage control. He sent parents this letter — and some of them sent it to me:

Dear Parents/Guardians:

You may have heard that Ms. Pam Geller of Breitbart media has written a scathing and erroneous article about St. Petersburg Catholic High School. The article attempts to address the assembly held on Thurs. Feb. 18, 2016.  It is important to allay any fears that this article has created.

[the_ad id=”76963″]

The principal is sloppy and intellectually lazy: my name is Pamela Geller and the piece to which he is referring didn’t run in Breitbart News, but in World Net Daily. And while he claims that my article was “erroneous,” you’ll see that he doesn’t in his entire letter give a single example of any erroneous claim I made.

A few months ago some students came forward who were concerned about the media coverage of the Islamic people. The impression that seems to be prevalent in the media is that all Muslims are terrorists. The students recognized that such an irrational, global portrayal is not in concert with our Catholic faith nor our mission to educate the whole person.

“The media coverage of the Islamic people” were news reports of jihadi attacks — and many of those attacks involved the slaughter of Christians living under Islamic rule. They were oppressed and slaughtered because they were Christians. Is this how the good Father Rosin should respond and educate his young people?

And where did these students see media reports claiming that “all Muslims are terrorists”? That’s ridiculous. The media bends over backwards to make sure that Americans think that terrorism has nothing whatsoever to do with Islam, and that peaceful Muslims are victims of “backlash” after terror attacks.

Meanwhile, one of my sources at the school has informed me it was just one student who thought this deceptive assembly would be a good idea, and she reportedly pressured the administration to get it approved. In the end, however, everything that occurs at that school is the responsibility of the principal. I wonder if anyone even vetted this Fr. Rosin. Not only was it a disgrace to subject these Christian kids to this propaganda, but it could have potentially been very dangerous.

After considering the request to present an appropriate and correct view of Islam, the administration agreed to have an assembly. Upon the recommendation of a well respected member of the clergy of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, who previously had our speaker make a presentation to his parish as part of an interdenominational dialogue, we asked Mr. Bedier to speak to our students.

A correct view of Islam? From a former representative of terror-tied CAIR, an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorist funding trial in our nation’s history? If Fr. Rosin really wanted to present an accurate view of Islam, he should have Ibn Warraq, Wafa Sutlan, Nonie Darwish, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Robert Spencer — not a former representative of a group with multiple links to Hamas, and which has been designated a terrorist group by the United Arab Emirates. Why didn’t the principal invite to the school one of the Catholic priests from the Middle East whose flock has been decimated by Islamic jihadis?

[the_ad id=”72852″]

Beginning with the Baron Bulletin of Feb. 5, 2016, I indicated that we would be having the assembly on Islam. The assembly was published on our calendar. As always, parents were invited to attend. In fact, I had hoped more parents would be in attendance to share this information with their child and have a meaningful discussion.

After the assembly, our teachers spent time in classes discussing the assembly.  By all accounts from the teachers, the discussions were very productive.

If this is true, all the teachers are as clueless and intellectually subjugated about this foremost issue of our time as Fr. Rosin is.

Additionally, St. Petersburg Catholic High School recorded the presentation. This was done so that any parent who wished could view the presentation for discussion with his/her son/daughter. There were a few parents who requested the link to this video.

While there is some disagreement about a few comments Mr. Bedier made, I did not find anything to be inappropriate in the presentation for our students. The Superintendent of Schools for the Diocese of St. Petersburg has reviewed the presentation and found nothing inappropriate for our students.

Nothing inappropriate? As I showed in my original article on this, Bedier minimized, downplayed, and dissembled about the jihad threat. He falsely exaggerated Muslim achievements, played moral equivalence games in claiming that there were Christian terrorists as well as Muslim ones (with his one example being Tim McVeigh, who is supposed to be equivalent to the perpetrators of 28,000 jihad attacks since 9/11), and gave students an incomplete and misleading picture of the doctrinal differences between Islam and Christianity – even as Muslims are persecuting Christians to a degree unparalleled for centuries.

After the assembly it was discovered that Mr. Bedier posted a picture of our students on his Facebook page. We were not aware he would do so and in our continuing effort to protect the privacy of our students, we requested he remove it.

More dishonesty. Bedier took the picture during his presentation and said that he was going to post it to social media. So then Fr. Rosin was shocked to find it on Facebook?

St-Petersburg-Bedier Ahmed Bedier St Petersburg Catholic School

As soon as I contacted Mr. Bedier he very willingly removed the picture. However, it is apparent that one or more of our parents have shared misinformation about this assembly with outside sources, e.g., Breitbart media, initiating a chain of events that could potentially incur significant negative repercussions for our school and our students. Ms. Geller not only spoke disparagingly about St. Petersburg Catholic High School but also the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. She also encouraged her readers to contact St. Petersburg Catholic High School and published the school phone number. Since we have received a few phone calls as a result of Ms. Geller’s article, we have been extra vigilant with regard to our visitors on campus as an added measure to continue to ensure the safety of our students.

What ridiculous posturing. Fr. Rosin, those who oppose jihad and Sharia are not murderers. None of my readers or supporters have committed any acts of violence. Nor have I ever called for or condoned any violence. Your students need have no fear of me or my supporters. They should fear Islamic jihadis who have repeatedly threatened to murder American civilians — but you have made sure that they are ignorant and complacent regarding that threat.

In his presentation, Mr. Bedier explained the Muslim perspective as well as bringing our attention to some very interesting and salient points for dialogue with the Abrahamic traditions. He condemned terrorism of any kind as well as advocated for reconciliation and understanding among all people. Is that not what our faith teaches? There was no occasion during Mr. Bedier’s presentation where our students could have been exposed to physical, psychological, spiritual, moral or intellectual harm. This was not an exercise for the purpose of indoctrination but of understanding, which is what we want our students to be able to accomplish.

“There was no occasion during Mr. Bedier’s presentation where our students could have been exposed to physical, psychological, spiritual, moral or intellectual harm”? What a hubristic claim. How could Fr. Rosin possibly know this? Is he so relativistic and intellectually compromised that he thinks that a patently deceptive presentation designed to make students less willing and able to resist a genuine and growing threat doesn’t cause psychological, spiritual, moral or intellectual harm? And Bedier, who has featured open supporters of Hizb’allah on his radio show and worked for a Hamas-linked Muslim Brotherhood group, condemned terrorism? Is Fr. Rosin really that naïve and eager to be fooled? And does he really expect parents to be as well?

Our assembly followed the example of our Holy Father, Pope Francis, and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, who urge us to open, honest dialogue of our faith with all our brothers and sisters. Our students are taught not to be ignorant of their Catholic faith, nor to shy away from sharing their Catholic faith.  They are also taught that living their faith as Jesus commanded is the best way to help others understand their life with God.

In reality, Muslim groups worldwide are making active efforts to convert Christian young people to Islam (sometimes forcibly). The Catholic Church has done absolutely nothing to counter this, even as former Catholics have become jihadi terrorists. The Pope and the U.S. bishops are committed to the idea that Islam is a religion of peace while Muslims who know better are picking off their young people and turning them into killers. The “dialogue” they’re so fanatically committed to, meanwhile, has not saved one Middle Eastern Christian from being brutalized by Muslims, or one church from being destroyed.

In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, we are reminded that God’s mercy is greater than all of us.  Let us share His love and mercy with each other.

Love and mercy — good. Love, mercy, and truth — better. But you’re not going to get truth from either Ahmed Bedier or Fr. Rosin.

Such is the power of human stupidity –

Forgoing sex in real life. For what, you ask?- For having sex in afterlife.
Forgoing alcohol in real life. For what, you ask?- For having alcohol in afterlife.
Forgoing the company of women (gender segregation) in real life. For what, you ask?- For having the company of 72, yes 72 women in afterlife.
Forgoing homosexuality in real life. For what, you ask?- For having homosexual sex with handsome, underage boys in afterlife.
Foregoing pleasures in real life. For what, you ask?- For pleasures in afterlife.

Human stupidity must never be underestimated. Whenever in doubt, look at muslims.

Maybe the students at this high school need to educate their Principal about what Islam is truly like by setting up a Chop Chop Square in the school cafeteria and making Father Richard Rosin the first “guest of honor.”

He’s just a holy moocher. Christianity is established. We don’t need a saint to open doors for the enemy to enter. They do not think as our culture by the golden rule. As a principal he is failing in not protecting the students from propaganda by a proven associate with terrorism.

Catholicism has lost its way, it is lead by fools, not shepherds. There is no justification for Catholics to grovel to islam. It is time to take the Bible seriously, not as a nice fluffy fuzzy book about how to be nice. Even as an excommunicated Catholic I am appalled beyond reasoning with over the shameful cowardly and wrong direction the church is going.

I get so disgusted with these roundabout apologetics as if to show up the rest of us wayward who somehow don’t get it. He’s probably full of himself gathering brownie points as he forgets his duty to educate students while playing conciliator to cair a huge promoter of islamist propaganda. Such misled open-mindedness infiltrating christian leaders is ridiculous in the face of evidence about islamism and only promotes the weakening of western standards of faith, morality and values.

True, the Catholic church has been over run with liberal socialists who like all the pious “lovey dovey” stuff that there is, but conveniently forget that “man must earn his daily bread by the sweat of his brow”, that does not mean sitting around waiting for those who work, to provide “charity” to those who are too lazy to do so. Forgiveness in very good, but it only works when offenders realize they have done something that needs to be forgiven, Muslims do not think they have done anything wrong, they fully expect everyone to submit to islam, no exceptions.

Islam produces horrors on par only with direct Satanist who cut out the middle man of Mohamed. I agree the Catholic Church was lost from the first. Origin asked it’s founding fathers;” If I must change so much about this man (Jesus) why not chose a man more to your liking in the first place?” I believe the early Catholic Church found this man in Paul aka “The Liar”.

Bottom line is: Indifference to Muhammad’s crimes, his sadist paragraphs of murder, torture & subjugation & his anti Afro mythologies is complicity & terrorism.
It’s always the same: Muhammadism has a propaganda, inviting side & a sadist, anti Afro racist, death penalty for leaving, militant theist system side.
Guess which one these students were exposed to.
Children should learn the value of the simple honesty of atheism instead of learning to ally with the Muhammadan doctrine & it’s political consequences & when being educated about Muhammad & Muhammadism, being educated that Muhammad commanded murder of atheists & non-Muhammadists to which he counted Christians & also extortion-money, the pay-or-die Jizya tax to which many people are exposed to & suppressed with in Syria, Saudia Arabia & elsewhere. Children should learn that Muhammad was the proto-type extremist Muhammadism terrorist & learn conscious, politically-active solidarity with those who are imprisoned in Muhammadists held regions or with African slaves, enslaved in Saudi Arabia, new north-Sudan, Mauritania (25%) enslaved because of Muhammad’racist mythologies one of which says that Muhammad’s unproven deity turned Africans black so their descendants would be slaves to Arabs & Turks, another one claiming that out of mythological first person Adam’s left shoulder blacks emerged to perdition & whites to paradise of his right shoulder. This solidarity should lead all of us to the act of consequence to a global government protecting human rights, ecology, freedom & global identity.

Our students are taught not to be ignorant of their Catholic faith, nor to shy away from sharing their Catholic faith. I was talking the other day with high school students from a Catholic school, who were telling me about one teacher who likes to look down the girls’ shirts, and does not call them by their name, he makes inappropriate pet names for them. Honest, truthful dialogue is definitely required. These schools need to bring in speakers like Nonie Darwish, and Ayaan Hirsi Ali, as Pamela mentioned so that the American students realize the dangers of the Islamic religion, and how if you leave that religion (apostasy) the consequence is death. The truth needs to be told.

I am becoming a cynic. I have concluded that no matter what is said by anyone about the realities that this world now faces due to the terror that is being triggered by Islamic fundamentalists, that nothing changes, and most of the world continues to blindly march on to its destruction from the forces of evil, doing nothing to challenge the reality out there. When I asked my Senator why our country had not declared war on those who have declared war on us, and have actively murdered Americans, his lengthy non-answer to me further reinforced my cynicism and frustration, as this article seems to do as well. I know not all people of the Islamic belief system are inclined to adopt the heinous conduct of the terrorists, but their failure to actively castigate those who adopt that deplorable conduct based on the claim that Islam demands it of them, sickens me. To me, “political correctness” will be the death of us non-Muslims. We need to certify that Islam understands that we can no longer accept the silence within Islam which never actively speaks out against those among them that commit these acts of terror based on their faulty belief system. Since it is obvious that our own leaders will not even raise these objections, I am losing hope for our young and future generations.

Our politicians today answer only to the call of “special interest groups,” big contributors and power brokers, with only economic interest their concern, and they do not answer to the people as was contemplated by the instrument known as the Constitution; notwithstanding, that our country was started by those with land holdings, with most of our founding fathers being reasonably wealthy. We must take back our government and, hopefully, if we do, we can bring back reasonable concern and conduct that will return us to a time when protecting the people was the priority, not the exclusion. I believe that time is running out on us.

Nigeria, previously Oyo Africa, was the birth place of Santeria. A religion filled with drugs, poisons and child sacrifice. Later the religion was evolved into a mockery of Christianity. It uses Catholic Saints to represent their demons, orishas. It came to South America and the US through the slave trade.

Afro-American folk religions continue to be practiced particularly among the poor and less educated people. They include Voodoo in Haiti, Santeria in Cuba, Shango in Trinidad, and Kuminia or Pocomania in Jamaica. It is not surprising that those in society who fit the categories of poor and less educated including many who advocate alternate lifestyles and beliefs may find themselves exposed to the influences of such “religions”. Many may feel a sense of belonging in such beliefs that is not necessarily based on truth.

Here’s a link to differences in santeria and voodoo –

Steve, your attachment says it is not a violent religion (Santeria) and even complains that the many branches from the same tree bear totally different fruit. But the similarities from the same parent is undeniable. Just watch the increase of child sacrifices after hurricanes, thought to represent the Orisha Shango (Chango) represented by the crucified Jesus.
At any rate, the established Santeria in Miami is being set up for a fall much as they and Satanist were in the 70’s. To be made into shielding of a camouflage nature. By a politically sponsored look a like group (The Foundation) that will do all in there power to unit the US once again into a misguided war.
This time our troops will be sent to South Korea. While the political coup presently in power take the few liberties left.

All of these religions of darkness: Islam, voodoo, santeria, are forms of promoting Satanist acts that are self in powering by way of potion and rituals. The tree must be judged by it’s fruit. The African religions are at their heart very sorrowful. As are the final results of all Satanic activity.

It is not that they are powerless or their spiritual force not real, they are. But the religions of Light offer positive life styles and in the case of the teachings of Jesus/Yeshua the only way to eternal life with a physical body.

Jefferson had the right idea with his red book, in placing the gospels into a chronological order. Unfortunately he was unable to use John in the effort. He admitted a lack of knowledge to add the crucial meanings of His parables in the settings of the day. Jefferson was correct, our present bibles are diamonds (teachings of Jesus) surrounded by dung. Dung being the removal of Judaism and replacement with universal Roman influences by way of Paul.

This is excellent. The comment by one of the speakers that some christians may be conciliatory to other religions at the expense of truth is highly relevant to this article – especially in light of the theocracy of islam governed by sharia and the concept/duty of jihad.

This link compares major concepts of christianity, judaism, and islam.
http://christianityinview.com/xncomparison.html

Islam, governed by sharia and driven by jihad, is associated with the most violence today, and directly at odds with all non-muslims.

Steve, again you are correct. Our present Christians have neutered and made a house pet of the Lion of Judea. The teachings of a Jewish King and Rabbi had all Jewish influence, settings and meanings, removed from His teachings. Then to make it even more difficult for those who have never met Him they threw in the liar Saul aka Paul to totally miss-lead them.

I would enjoy creating a couple of books with the help of someone as yourself to explain who our Lord is today and what is about to happen.

For instance eternal punishment. Those of an evil life, such as the “good” Muslims, will have all memory of their existence removed from the memories of all that knew them. The eternal light will be removed from them. Their new bodies will be placed in small dark bags to be pushed together into a sphere with no light at all. In a fetal position they will spend eternity being prodded by others like them. This sphere is to be used to block the opening in the vine of light that was left by the rebellion of the General Lucifer. Who has a place reserved in it’s center.
The vine connects all 270+ worlds of light with one open end that continues to offer worlds of life as it grows.

Jesus cleared the temple of the tax collectors in an act of standing up for the truth. It is not a stretch to say that christians have to stand up for truth. Some question the degree to which christians may protest and some say that christians must be passive and turn the other cheek. I say the response is based on the degree of threat. Islamist apologetics are swift to use the “turn the other cheek” belief against christians to try to effectively nullify protest.

The “turn the other cheek” Christians of today like to apply it to the most evil of people. They conveniently forget “those without a sword sell your cloak and buy one” -Luke. I am certain our Lord is disappointed in the lack of rams within His sheep. To me Jesus speaks of an economical war against a repressive Rome.
Good subject matter Steve. Thanks

I’ll bet the Romans lost a lot of tax revenue by invading/conquering Yerushalem.

Ask any Jew what “give to Caesar what is Caesar’s” means and they will reply “give him nothing”. They get it right. Now Jesus had his work cut out for Him to get the Jews to give up their money:) But seriously if the Jews had turned to another medium of currency or bartered, not use anything to support the occupation forces (courts and such) it could have spread throughout the empire and collapsed Roman control from within where no army could have. This is the reason the ROMAN government crucified Jesus/Yeshua. Not the popular fairy tale of the Jews doing it.

At least they didn’t get the wealth from the Temple.

It wasn’t “tax collectors” in the Temple it was money changers. I believe these money changers took foreign currency and converted it to shekels to facilitate donations to the Temple for a small fee.

Okay, “the bad guys”. Its an oversight. The point is he had to stand up to people making a mockery of god’s temple of worship and christians can see that as a lesson for standing up to islamism.

Yes money changers working for a Priest that was normally an annual position but this one was held the position for over 10 years. He had the sacrificial animals moved from the outside where they could be purchased by individuals to the section reserved for converts to Judaism. Not the area was full of dung and the priests were charging more for each animal. The money changers would have an artificially high exchange rate. The Priest hood was being corrupted by this Roman appeaser.
Jesus was upset with the religion of His choice being corrupted for a huge profit at the expense to the believers and of the low wage earners. For one thing this shows that we should not bow and appease those that rip off our way of life.
Beyond this the famous Last Supper was Jesus guiding His followers on how to spread the worship outside of the Temple. The bread/flesh and the wine/blood were the substitute for the offerings to the alter. Cutting out the greed infected and Roman appeasing Priests. It was not teaching them to worship Him (Jesus) but rather how to worship His Father and still follow the doctrine of Judaism.
This I feel is correct and is from a book authored by a PhD. as well as supportive research of my own.
The reason I looked into it so deeply was a child I cared about was the victim of Satanic ritual that included cannibalism while she was still living, an insult to this part of Christianity.

islam and Christianity have absolutly nothing in common, islam is hell, on earth and hereafter. Christianity is the way to heaven in life. Actually Christianity and other religions, some polytheistic, have things in common.

The man is simply an ignorant clown who talks complete drivel about Islam. It was who stated that “authentic Islam is not violent”. The opposite it true, but don’t tell Pope Francis.

CAIR is registered as a terrorist organization, in the Arab United Emirates. Our liberties are being used against us.
I know Pamela likes Cruz, but the man pushed for Roberts and his wife pushed for NAFTA. Both he and his wife take money from Goldman Sachs. Cruz is credited with achieving 40 arguments in the Senate. We do not need arguments or more lawyers. We need action. First we need to stop the bleeding. Demand support for Donald Trump. Unless you just like the spread of Islam, Satanist and Santeria.

Who gives a FFF what the UAE designates anything? The UAE is an atypical islamic state: totalitarian, fascist and apartheid (both gender and religious). A woman from AUS was gang-raped in the UAE, she reported the incident to the all muslum authorities and she was incarcerated for committing adultery. F$@k the UAE, may they all drown in camel urine.

The principal is a glaring example of a dhimmi stooge. Last century communism had their useful idiots, and this century, we have the equivalent in these, dhimmi stooges.

The problem in this matter is that this principal is allowing the manipulation of western culture’s concept “golden rule”. By his giving a “fair hearing” to promote a message that some muslims are good, which may or may not be the case on an individual basis, he inadvertently is being used by allowing cair, a documented associate of islamist terrorism, the forum to promote its islamist propaganda. The islamist motivated operate on a totally different concept of right and wrong in their indoctrinated sharia and jihadist beliefs. This principal not only violates his duty as an educator exposing students to dangerous propaganda but he himself is being exploited to further the aims of a known enemy of american morals and values. Jesus said do not cast your pearls before swine and this case certainly applies.

I think by you’re contacting the father its good even if he doesn’t listen or even if his response has been ordered. I know people sometimes take the view that nothing can be done about anything until things touch them. Maybe a little protest is in order before things get bad and there’s no guarantees in simply living without a care.

In no one does anything, nothing gets done. When it comes to things like faith, those supposedly guiding others who seek guidance, should be competent, or quiet. Grovelling before islam is not guidance, it is an example of leading the faithful astray, the example of the millstone comes to mind.

That was good, although I find the adjective “radical” when applied to islam to be disingenuous at best and misleading at worst. I’m sure Klavan would already be arrested in the new found islamic freedoms of Europe/Eurabia.

I don’t know if it was here or on Roberts JihadWatch but a particular Chriistian Cleric who mentioned despite the danger her invited IS TO dinner it has helped cultivate working relationships with the worst if the worst terrorists in past. In this case the afternoon of the dinner he got a note from IS to the effect that if they came he would have to lose his head. It was then that he realized they are so evil they must be destroyed and can’t be talked to. FR Rosin should go visit him and hear how most of his flock is dead
