CRUZ. TAKES. IOWA.

Yaaahs! I am thrilled. I endorsed Ted Cruz back in May, after the Garland jihad shooting. I stand with Cruz today. This tide is turning. Sunrise in America.

Mike Huckabee has dropped out (as has Martin O’Malley — although nobody noticed). It’s time for those who are under 5% to get out so we can pick our man and get on with the fight to wrest back the country from the party of treason.

The FOX folks must be weeping.

UPDATE: FOX News is talking like Rubio won. Sheesh. Get over it. They are acting like Rubio walked on water because he took third.

UPDATE: Turnout at the GOP Iowa caucuses was unprecedented — 180,000 turned out to vote. FOX News predicted a Trump win if turnout exceeded 150K. They got it wrong.

Ted Cruz garnered the most votes of any GOP Iowa caucus in history. “The most votes ever cast for any Republican primary winner.”

UPDATE: Hillary and the socialist are neck in neck.

    Good.

At last we get off the peel so we can get to the fruit

  • Cynthia Morris

Pam, you should go easier on Marco Rubio. He gave one of the most passionate (and genuine) pro-Israel speeches I’ve ever had the pleasure to hear:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdMWbqZsyuM

    • Judi

Hmm, I seem to remember Ovomit making a pro Israel speech when he was running for president in 2008. That worked out well, didn’t it.

    • wildjew

Here’s my problem with Senator Rubio beyond his support for the Gang of Eight (amnesty) bill in the Senate. He ran here in Fla. as a Tea Party candidate. After he was elected, he began distancing himself from the Tea Party that helped him beat Charlie Crist. Senator Rubio supported some or much of Obama’s foreign policy, his illegitimate war in Libya, Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt; arming “rebels” in Syria. After Michele Bachmann and a couple or so of her colleagues called for an investigation of Muslim Brotherhood penetration into the Obama administration and related government agencies, Sen. John McCain took to the Senate floor to condemn her. Marco Rubio joined McCain condemning Bachmann. It is difficult to reconcile all this with Sen. Rubio’s professed support for Israel.

      • roger

True enough, if a few more republicans had stood by Michele Bachmann the investigation might have gone somewhere.

      • Aaron

Good reporting. Thanks for a bit on his history. Most people (and candidates) forget those histories during elections.

    • SCREW SOCIALISM

      G-d Bless Marco Rubio!

  • Texas Mimi

I was beyond THRILLED when my Senator won by such a large margin! I am believing he’s gonna be our next President, and he’ll make a great one. He’s a Constitutional conservative, and like he’s said during his campaign, he does what he says he’s gonna do, and he’ll always tell you the truth. He’s also a very solid Christian. Cynthia, you should remember that Marco Rubio was a member of the Gang of 8, who wrote a bill that would lead to amnesty, and Rubio backed out of signing it! I do not trust him. When he and his family lived in Nevada, he became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, as did his family. When they move back to Fla, they started attending a Catholic church. From what I’ve read about him, apparently he and his family attend a Baptist church and also a Catholic church. The two don’t mix!

    • wilypagan

I hate fake, smarmy, bible waving, lying pols.

      • farflung

What Cruz did to Dr Ben Carson was below the pale of decency. Cruz sorry you turned into a snake oil salesman with your bible in one hand and your dick in the other. You had my support second on the GOP list, gone now. Rubio, someone out there tell me where this man stands. He will say or do anything to get a vote.

        • wilypagan

Go Trump. Rubio is a globalist demon.

  • Sandi 216

I’ve been flipping back and forth between CNN and FOX most of the evening and the coverage from FOX was good. As far as the turnout prediction goes, the same thing was said by all of them and has been reported that way for the last couple of days. At CNN yesterday a panel was saying that the higher the turnout would probably mean a win for Trump.

Also, several reporters from both channels as well as people they’ve interviewed have been talking about Rubio. It’s big news! Rubio’s 3rd place was only a bit more than 2,000 votes between his and Trump’s! It was very, very close and was significantly better than expected.

Why would Pam write that FOX must be weeping? Surely she doesn’t think they have been slanted – and especially not toward Trump!

    • Joannie

I’m a Trumpette and I watched Fox with the sound off just to see results. I couldn’t have taken Megyn Kelly’s voice and Bret Baier (whom I actually like), fawning over her.

  • Wim

Looks like Wall Street Bankers Man 1 and Trump 0 for now lets hope this just Bad start

  • Drew the Infidel

I voted for Cruz when he ran for Senator and would gladly do so again for prexy. I would vote for Jack the Ripper before a commiecrat. His campaign was conducted in an intelligent fashion and not with the meat ax approach adopted by some on both sides.

  • Red

We need to nominate someone who will enforce our borders, and who can win. This is Trump.

    • Dave J Lawson

      Agree ,
voting Cruz is best way to handover to
hillary . He is too far Right and Dems and Independent voters don’t like
him and Its Trump who pulls in 25% black voters and 20% of Dems, Not
Ted the canadian or whatever . He is just a slimeball politician who
says things that will get him the vote without meaning it for a second.

He is Weak on immigration , no deportation , no clue on economy and his dumb flat tax for all , no support for ethanol, will collapse corn price and finish the farmers in Iowa .

      Great work dumb iowans.

      • wilypagan

Didn’t Iowa select Obama in the 2008 primary? Shows the lack of judgment. Too much Monsanto gmo corn products.

        • chichilouise

They have only voted for a candidate who actually won the election one time in 10 cycles, or 40 years. I guess that was G.W. since they keep saying their one good pick was 16 years ago.

      • brian crawford

trump wants to keep killing babies and and expand obama care, you like that?

        • Jim Fox

ALL babies must die. Overpopulation. Sarc/off

          • brian crawford

            knucklehead!!

          • Jim Fox

Including babies like you- look up sarcasm, will you?

          • brian crawford

dumb thing to say sarcasm or not!!!

        • That is a lie. He has stated he is pro life and he has stated he would open up health care competition to reduce costs. Ted Cruz supports 6,500 page TPP with op ed in amnesty paper WSJ, prior to flip flopping. Ted Cruz HELPED TO write faith based charity nonsense that is now being exploited to bring in these stupid refugees.
Have no idea why you and Geller and everyone thinks Cruz will stop muslim immigration. He wont.

          • brian crawford

hes on tape saying that! i was a trump fan until he said his sister is pro choice and so is he, where have u been ? not only that hes on tape saying we have to let muslims in from syria where have you been ? and he said he wants government to cover every american citizens medical. thats expanding obamacare you knucklehead!!!!

          • So we know that Trump is the only one who said openly that he will halt muslim immigration and work hard to build the wall.
We know that Cruz has never led on this most important issue, he helped to write the faith based charities legislation for W BUSH and that has been disastrous for us with Obama exploiting the laws to expand refugee resettlement. Cruz also helped to draft the amnesty legislation that Bush pushed that we fought so hard against. Cruz will not stop muslim immigration. To me that is the fight that should take precedence at this time.
You have no idea if Trump was being polite when asked about his sister. I am very pro life. My first pro life battle at this time is to fight against muslim immigration into this country and not to allow the global elites such as Goldman Sachs to destroy us like they are doing to Europe. Ted Cruz is Goldman Sachs, his wife is too.
You are twisting his words regarding healthcare. He said that he would expand healthcare by opening up competition. But keep focusing on these issues while Obama floods the country with muslims. Ted Cruz will not stop it. He has given no evidence he will stop it. Ever heard of Camp of the Saints?

Where is Teddy Cruz on the destruction of Amarillo TX by meatpackers who have brought in Somalians. Crime and trashing a once decent town. http://mobile.wnd.com/2016/02/so-it-begins-here-u-s-city-overrun-with-criminal-refugees/

          • brian crawford

these trump videos shown on john stossels show were in the past before running for president. he said back then he is more liberal than conservative. now hes flip flopping

          • Mr Paul Middleton

The UK’s National Health Service, almost 70 years old, is the envy of the world. What’s not to like about the efficiencies of scale it brings? If the US adopted a similar system it could propel healthcare to an unheard of level of bang per buck.

        • Dave J Lawson

How many has Trump killed you knucklehead .

He is pro life and even if he is not , who gave you right to decide on whether a woman should or should not have

          abortion ?
Its between her and her doctor and parents/friends she wishes to talk to.

Are you or has any of the so called Pro lifers supported or ready to support monetarily a women who’s unborn child is a disabled cripple , for rest of its life ?
If not , you have no business to tell the woman what she needs to do or not do.

or about a woman who’s life is under threat due to pregnancy that has gone wrong due to medical abnormalities ?
you want her to die ? you guys are the real heartless murderers.

          • brian crawford

look clown trump is pro abortion where have you been? john stossel ran those tapes of trump sayin that on his show. wake up !!!!!!! trump is very liberal you goofus!!!!

          • vrajavala

Oh that’s why he has what? 5 kids?

          • Stephen James Sinclair

Ohh so thanks for letting the cat out of the bag-you are really a democrat

          • Dave J Lawson

First learn to be American , vote for American interest not in the interest of corrupt RNC or DNC or your narrow religious based leanings. Folks like Ted or Rubio pander to the baser instincts and when they go head to head with DNC they can’t stand a chance just the way Romney or Mc Cain did.

          • Stephen James Sinclair

You’ve been trained well in double speak. I bet you get paid well for your little soap box vignettes in support of Hillary.

          • Dave J Lawson

what kind of nut are u ?

          • chichilouise

Actually, pro lifers have been adopting special needs babies for decades. I have adopted two myself. We have only been to one of the March for Life events in D.C., but I had never seen so many handicapped children and adults in one place in my life. And every prolifer accepts abortion when it is truly required to save the mothers life. There are women, however, who have freely chosen to give their own lives to let their babies live. I have read of at least two who refused cancer treatment during pregnancy because it would have meant having to abort first.

          • Dave J Lawson

I’m not talking about you. Its Good that you are practicing what you stand for ..most don’t. And politicians like Ted are the worst.

      • David Romero

Hillary is a dead candidate walking, Ask the FBI…

        • Dave J Lawson

Nice joke. Guess who controls FBI ? Obama and he fully backs Shitllary.

And SC is loaded with Democrat judges and you think they will not support their fav gal shitllary ?

        • I won’t be satisfied that she’s dead until I see the grave diggers throwing in the dirt. The box with Hilly in it will be the first piece of dirt.

          • Steve

The dirt will get up and walk away.

      • RCCA

Iowans are not dumb. They are religious. His whole strategy in Iowa was built on manipulating the evangelicals: “On that first trip here in August 2013, he met with a network of influential Iowa pastors, the same group he returned to last Monday, just a week before clergymen like them would help decide his fate. And he built his own network of evangelical pastors, recruiting one chief in each county and integrating them into a state leadership team that dwarfed other candidates’ in size.”http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/02/politics/ted-cruz-iowa-caucuses-2016/index.html

        • Dave J Lawson

Religion should not be mixed with politics.

End result is candidates who manipulate these dumb folks to win and then don’t give a damn about them later.

Did Ted Cruz raise issue of christians being slaughtered in middle east ? Only Trump did. That makes him only candidate who cares.

Trump is only one who has given to different charities and charitable causes , that’s as christian a trait as you can get , none of the other “christian” candidates comes even close.

          • RCCA

I agree with all your points. The Founders no doubt would be appalled by the exploitation of religious doctrine masquerading as religious liberty as a basis for public office.

“Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise.” James Madison — Letter to Wm. Bradford, April 1, 1774

“In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own. It is error alone that needs the support of government. Truth can stand by itself.” Thomas Jefferson — in a letter to Horatio Spofford, 1814
            http://www.liberalamerica.org/2014/10/27/88-founding-father-quotes-that-will-enrage-the-religious-right/

Let’s see what Cruz does in NH — I think he intends to use the religion strategy, as will Rubio, to appeal to Conservatives.

It may not be all that successful in New Hampshire, but be aimed at the larger primary field:
“But Cruz might not have to worry about New Hampshire, because the primary season is front-loaded with states primed to resonate with his evangelical message. The next primary after New Hampshire is South Carolina, one of the most-religious states in the union. The Nevada caucuses on February 23 might offer a chance for other candidates to catch up, but then the election calendar shifts back to the Bible Belt, with deeply religious Georgia and Cruz’s home state of Texas — which claims a sizable number of delegates — both holding their primaries on March 1. Florida and North Carolina — another church-going state — hold their GOP primaries later in March, deep into the time period when many candidates are expected to have already dropped out. It’s an campaign season tailor-made for any candidate capable of moving conservative Christians from the pews to the polls.” http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2016/02/02/3745437/ted-cruz-evangelical-strategy/

          • chichilouise

Cruz gives less than one percent of his seven figure income to charity/church. .86% over five years time. that’s point 86 percent. One year they made over 2 million dollars. ‘We were building a foundation for our family first.’ he said when asked why he wasn’t tithing.

Most people don’t realize that Ted and his father Rafael are Dominionists, either, which is a theocracy oriented group in Christianity. Ted was anointed by his father and other elders to ‘be king of the end times beginning of the redistribution of the wealth from the wicked to the righteous.’

I gather he is the type of Christian that would most terrify and enrage those that are afraid of a candidate mixing his religion with his Presidency.

        • hajiklr

“Iowans are not dumb. They are religious.” LOL! I’m hoping you’re being sarcastic.

      • Francis

Aw, you seem to be extremely TERRIFIED of Ted. Let’s get this straight. He’s not a slimeball, he has VERY wide appeal to ALL audiences, he’s rock solid ANTI amnesty, and he knows exactly what the score is on the economy, etc. You’re WRONG on all counts. Ted is the ONLY true conservative and patriot unlike Donald Trump who is a liberal with liberal policies like “touch back amnesty” and a “single-payer” healthcare nightmare.

        • I am terrified of being raped or blown up by muslims. Trump said it needs to be halted. Cruz said we can’t have a “religious test” for immigrants. Oh yes we can. Cruz is a sitting Senator who has done zilch to call out refugee resettlement. It is being funded to the tune of 1.4 billion a year by taxpayers, bringing in majority muslims. Where is his outcry or demand it be halted??? There is your crook for you.

        • Hedy

Sorry to bring you bad news: Cruz IS a slimeball. He stole Ben Carson’s supporters at the caucuses. He told them that Ben Carson has just quit and asked his supporters to vote for him. If he didn’t do that, he wouldn’t be a slimeball and very easily Ben Carson could even won Iowa. We will never know now.

      • joe1429

Iowa only picked 2prez in the last 100 yrs!! No worries!!!

      • Hedy

Don’t blame Iowans. They were lied to.

    • I agree but that’s a nice picture of Pam. There are three candidates I would vote for: Trump, Rubio, or Cruz. Anybody but old hippo arse.

      • Hedy

Rubio is in the pocket of Rupert Murdoch, who is an open border supporter. Ted Cruz just stole Ben Carson’s voters in Iowa.

    • joe1429

Agree! Cruz will never take new hampshire!! Go Trump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Dr_Eigenvector

Ok, so Pamela Geller, Queen of the Counter Jihad, has decided to back
the guy who doesn’t want to ban Islam from America. I tried to point
this out with a comment but I’m banned from there, which I find odd as
the site has moved since I last had a run in with Pammy. I tried posting
      this:

”So after a lifetime of warning the world about the
dangers that Islam represents, after years and years of screaming about
Islam to the American public. Pamela Geller decides not to back the man
who is wiling to ban Muslims entering the US.

      Why?”

  • Underzog

It was eerie watching Fox News at 11:00. Here was Ted Cruz winning Iowa and Fox News was courting her inner rino by saying the third place showing by Rubio was actually a win. When I watched Fox News at 11:00, it seemed as if it was mostly Rubio despite the stunning upset by Ted Cruz whom the polls all had him losing to Donald Trump. It wasn’t until I watched Sean Hannity and 3:00 a.m. did I hear anything approaching a proper mention of what Ted Cruz did in Iowa.

    • Hedy

At that time we didn’t know that Cruz has stolen -literally – Ben Carson’s votes.

    • Patti York

Maybe if Cruz didnt scream like a a high school girl for over an hour they would have covered him.

      • Underzog

If Cruz did a Howard Dean, all the media would have reported it and rightfully so. The Dean scream is one of the funniest things to come out of politics. It still gives me a smile — YEEEAAAH!

  • I like this result and I applaud Ms. Geller’s level-headed position on this nomination-process. Fox News, apparently, has become corrupted beyond description and a thorough, lengthy boycott is the only non-violent message that will be noticed by this for-profit business.

Trump’s favorite attack line against Cruz is his supposed personality quirks, saying “nobody likes him.” So what? Human history is full of examples of admirable people in positions of responsibility that fit that description. Solomon stands apart but consider also Admiral Hyman Rickover, General George S. Patton, Vince Lombardi,Leo Durocher, and Casey Stengel, among others. Those successful examples did not spend much time passing out roses.

    • wildjew

I would wear “no body likes him” as a badge of honor in politics.

      • Drew the Infidel

Agreed. None of us were placed on this earth to win a popularity contest anyway.

  • Rubio is Karl Rove’s choice. Rove may not have said so yet, but I know FOR A FACT who Rove’s choice is. The GOP establishment swtiched to Rubio by at least October.

The GOP establishment doesn’t want these three: Trump, Cruz, and Carson.

    • ljm4

they really don’t want Carson as he’d cut every department budget and then some for one reason.

    • wilypagan

Trump, Cruz and Carson need to make a deal to block the RINO Rubio.

  • spacearcadian

Cruz can´t defeat Hillary. more rejected than a white far right racist is an hispanic playing a far right racist. You can´t defeat Islam if you don´t realize that Islam is the problem not some “nations with terrorism problem”, so Trumo got it better Cruz. Trump want to ban islamic immigration, Cruz only want to ban migration from countries with “terrorism problems”

    • wildjew

If our primary were today, I would probably vote for Sen. Cruz all things considered. I agree with you, Trump looks much stronger on the threat posed by Muslim immigration even as he’s not been consistent in other respects concerning this global war Islam is waging against the non-Muslim West. I wish someone could talk some sense into Sen. Cruz on the threat posed by Muslims / Islam, not just Muslims in ISIS controlled areas.

      • You can’t talk sense in someone whose allegiance is with billionaire globalists. Talking sense doesn’t pay nearly as well. And why would he change anyway? He helped to craft the faith based charities legislation passed back in 2002 under Bush, which is being used to fund refugee resettlement and he also helped to craft Bush’s immigration reform. Yet people do not seem to realize he is not going to stop the invasion.

    • Mike Knox

Mr Trump has numerous YUGE business deals with numerous Muslims. He would no more “ban Islamic immigration” than he would “build a fence” Mr Trump is just saying things that he knows people want to hear. Read his “Art Of The Deal” to see why you CAN”T BELIEVE ANYTHING HE SAYS!

      • wildjew

Yours’ is my fear. Given his history, how can we trust him? I’ve not read “The Art of the Deal.” I am reading one of his biographers.

        • Dave J Lawson

Ted had canadian citizenship until 15 months ago and its illegal to be even senator while holding dual allegiance .

It means everytime he uttered pledge of allegiance to America he was uttering a lie. ……..and this jerk , rabble rouser who could not get any thing done other than protesting is supposed to be constitutionalist ??!!

          • wildjew

There are many dual citizens in this country. Several Americans who immigrated to Israel for example, maintain dual citizenship. Ideally, I don’t think I would want it but there might be reasons where it might be beneficial. For example, I am guessing someone who has paid into Social Security their entire life and they need that income. I don’t know the issue well enough to argue one way or the other. If Cruz is a loyal American citizen (I haven’t seen anything to indicate he isn’t a loyal American citizen, unlike Obama) I don’t know that it is a big deal.

          • Underzog

Obama is not a natural born citizen; ergo, he is not qualified to be President under Article II of the Constitution. Ann Coulter can’t complain that people who attacked Obama on this were cranks and birthers and then use the same argument against Cruz. She is estopped from doing so. Trump actually has better ground to make such an argument because at least he raised Obama’s exotic birthplace at an earlier point. Still, since Natural Born Citizenship was attacked and ridiculed much earlier, they have no business bringing what most of them attacked earlier as an issue now.

          • Hedy

Cruz is a liar. Everybody gets Social Security benefits inside or outside the USA who is eligible. Even the widow(er) does in most cases. There is no benefit in having dual citizenship if living within the USA. He is a loyal citizen, just like Obama.
Jews who immigrated to Israel either keep their American citizenship or not, but will not run for presidency in the United States. Besides, our laws are not necessarily the same as any other country’s. One needs to obey the laws of the country where he lives plus should obey the laws of his other home country as well, if it is possible, and in this order.

          • Sandi 216

Since birth, he has had DUAL citizenship! Good grief!

          • Francis

So Ted had dual citizenship. Big deal! LOTS of people have it. You Trump people take every little thing and viciously wring it and make something out of nothing. It’s worn out and does not work. Ted is in this race to WIN and move into the WH with his family.

          • Hedy

Exactly this is why this country goes to ‘ell in a hand basket. Because too many people say about too many lawless act “Bid deal!”
A country, where the citizens don’t think it is important to obey the laws, will not stand the trials of time.

    • David Romero

Hillary is a dead candidate walking… Ask the FBI

    • Drew the Infidel

Banning those from areas of the world with terror problems is one of the categories listed in the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, Section 1182 entitled “Inadmissible Aliens”. What both are drawing from is already public law.

  • AlOmega

I don’t personally like Trump but I support him because I think he will be fearless and follow through to protect the country against Muslim migration – and dangerous migration in general. Although the others talk well, I really am not sure they got the balls in them. Trump is an obnoxious character, but he is pretty fearless and he won’t care what people think of it. The fact that he does not shy away from being politically incorrect (in any way, shape or form), tells us he has balls to put his actions where his mouth is. Imagine what asshole you got to be to be the top in New York! And imagine what assholes he’d have to deal with in politics to lead an entire country. You need a strong leader.

    • Sandi 216

Non-PC is one thing, lack of diplomacy, tact and knowledge of the constitution is another – Trump has none of the latter. To say he shows he is fearless about putting “his actions where his mouth is” is the same as saying you’re fine with more unconstitutional executive actions just like Emperor Obama. I don’t want to give the executive branch of government MORE power and a green light for more executive actions! There’s a reason only the legislative branch is SUPPOSED to make laws – it’s checks and balances.

      • AlOmega

You only see one superficial side which doesn’t suit your ego because Trump is obnoxious. Obama is Trump in private. Trump is a pretty nice guy in private – much more so than what he wish to be seen in public.
Obama never accomplished a single thing in his life. He never had a career. Apparently judging by all the reports from his past, he didn’t even attend University. His fees got paid by Saudis and he managed to graduate without anyone ever seeing him in class. As a a lawyer he was a paper clerk and nothing else. He basically has little knowledge about anything. To compare Trump with Obama is therefore not even rational or realistic.
First of all, the economy is in the toilette. Trump actually sees where the problem is. He has too much money to be purchased by anyone. This entire campaign of his is more of a personal belief system than power and money. Trump is a ferocious reader and keeps updated on everything from politics, crime to economy. His pill is bitter but what he says on these issues is far more accurate and knowledeble than most presidential candidates in the past. In addition, although he sounds like a jerk every single one of his own children have managed to do very well and are decent people; they’re not engaged in drugs, crimes or sex-orgies like so many rich kids of today. Each one of Trump’s wives continue to be his best friends and he takes care of them. That’s pretty unusual and if we’d listen to his rough persona, you’d think it would be the opposite. So there’s more to Trump than the external personality that he wants to put across.

        • Sandi 216

My ego? What are you talking about? Trump’s comments about all Muslims have already caused concern for our Muslim allies throughout the world. If he’s elected president, foreign affairs, wars in the Middle East, dealings with Russia would be in SIGNIFICANTLY worse shape than they are now. The possibility of banning Trump from the UK has already been discussed in Parliament.

      • Patti York

because “diplomacy” has worked SO well in keeping our country safe,,please.

  • Larenzo1

FUX got it wrong well they lie a lot. I no longer watch any network news. Far better sources. I have to say I am not thrilled by Cruz dirty trick he pulled at the end.

  • Nat’s daughter

Personally, I think America is gone. Way to many low info voters and illegals voting. In a sane America, Cruz would be #1 with me. But I fear only a populist like Trump could get elected, not Cruz. Sad times.

    • SJS

It behooves us to give it this one last shot now that the right guy needs to be supported. I share your sentiment, and do read the writing on the wall as you do. But I’m also willing to believe that we’ve been sent a lifeline. Not that it isn’t a long shot, it is… whichever way it goes, you can be sure we’d know where we stand.

  • ljm4

Pam, he lied about Dr Carson. We’ve had enough liars for a decade or 2. Thanks but cruz is not the honest man he claims to be. Dirty tricks count as dirty tricks…

    • Patti York

Also claimed to not know he held Canadian citizenship until May of 2014, or how about expecting us to believe that not declaring a million dollar loan was a clerical error? He believes we are stupid.

      • Dave J Lawson

He proved Iowans are. didn’t he ?

He is a trained Liar (Lawyer) you know.

        • He should start a megachurch, would probably do very well.

      • Barry has been holding Indonesian citizenship since he was adopted by Lolo Soetoro Patti.

        • Hedy

Actually he is more honest, than Cruz.
He lost his Indonesian citizenship, when he turned 19. At that time he should have reaffirm his Indonesian citizenship at the Embassy or in Indonesia, which he didn’t do. For that he wasn’t a citizen of Indonesia at the age of 20.

  • JEANNIEMAC2

Ted Cruz wife, Heidi Cruz, was a member of Council on Foreign Relations, and supports NAFTA (NORTH AMERICAN FREE TRADE AGREEMENT). This calls for an eventual joining together into one nation, Canada, the USA and Mexico. This can also mean a push by businesses for cheap labor.
Ted Cruz is Canadian by birth. The question of natural citizen by birth will play a large part here.

    • wildjew

Why do you think so many conservative Christians and Evangelicals in Iowa supported Sen. Cruz over Donald Trump, even with Sarah Palin’s endorsement?

      • wilypagan

Because evangelicals are secret globalist NWO types?

        • Dave J Lawson

how about dumb voters who fall for the biggest “christian” pretender fraudsters like Ted impresses them more.

          • wildjew

Funny, I thought the same thing about Trump when prominent Evangelicals like Gov. Huckabee and Sarah Palin came out endorsing him. Then the media narrative was Evangelicals and other conservative Christians in Iowa were mostly supporting Trump. One might think, Donald Trump would at minimum give some of these prominent conservative Christians like Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin some serious pause given his history but he’s not.

I’ve had my television on Morning Joe this morning. The media must loathe Senator Cruz. They aren’t talking about him. It’s all about Sanders, Clinton, Rubio and Trump.

    • Dan Knight

      MSM loathing is an endorsement.

  • Mike Knox

Why did/does anyone think Fox is “conservative?” If you watch/read O’Reilly alone you’d know it is “Faux” News. So glad that people are having their eyes opened! So glad Cruz won in Iowa!

      • Mike Knox

Media ownership by elites who are NOT CONSERVATIVE is the norm. Fox “branded” themselves as “fair & balanced” & “conservative” – it is all marketing. All they care about are ratings & going to parties with their fellow elites- and controlling the world, of course,

Only three non-incumbent candidates who won Iowa have gone on to win the presidency. This is because of the ridiculous number of evangelicals and born-agains in the state. It is hardly a predictor of Presidents, but more a predictor of who will not win. Sorry Pam.

  • Patti York

With less than ten percent voter turnout, it really is no victory. Cruz is a lying fraud.

    • SJS

I’m familiar with your thoughts through comments here, for quite some time. I’m more than surprised, actually, disappointed, how you misread Cruz.

      • Patti York

I have not misread anything. have you ever had a teenager that won’t stop lying to you? That is Cruz,,every time he gets caught doing something sleazy,,it’s always a “mistake”. Why are his “mistakes” always beneficial to him? I can overlook practically anything unpleasant from a candidate,,except chronic lying, Cruz is the result of bad parenting., like REALLY bad parenting, He thinks he can lie his way into or out of anything. Failure to declare a million dollar loan,,was a “clerical error”,,not knowing that he held Canadian citizenship his entire life, Really you believe that? For such a “smart” guy there seems to be a LOT that he does NOT know.

  • Congrats to Sen Cruz.

  • wilypagan

You sure he won’t force you to convert to Christianity, Pamela? Cruz seems like a theocrat to me, owes GS and other corporate interests and supports more high tech visas to undermine American wages. Go Trump!

    • wildjew

This is a common accusation on the part of Trump supporters. Senator “Cruz is a theocrat.”

  • Aaron

Regardless of people’s opinion regarding Cruz, Cruz has yet to answer for his co-sponsorship of the Corker bill which gave Obama the Iran Deal without actual (versus “on-camera”) opposition from the Senate.

By removing the Constitutional power of the Senate, Cruz (who is quite familiar with the Constitution), demoted that check and balance in favor of Obama’s Executive Order opportunism and teaming up with the Islamic power brokers.

There are other issues pertaining to Cruz which should be investigated by voters. I’m not comfortable with the caucus/campaign fraud his group is promoting, nor am I comfortable with tenets of his particular “Seven Hills” religious ideology, or his laxity on border security, immigration/invasion, his partnership with Glen Beck, and his seeming unconcern over the intensity of the worldwide Islamic threat.

Other than that, he’s a great guy, I guess.

    • wildjew

I listen to Mark Levin in the evenings. Levin made a compelling argument against the Corker Bill which allowed the Senate to duck their responsibility to vote Obama’s treaty with Iran up or down. It would have required 2/3 of the Senators present to ratify; a very high bar. But it is obvious Americans don’t have the will to destroy (bomb out) Iran’s nuclear sites. Listen to Bill O’Reilly the hand-wringer. He speaks for many Americans. American leaders don’t want Israel to destroy them either. So what is left? Negotiate. Right? I think the Corker Bill was a huge mistake. But Mr. Trump’s rhetoric on Iran hasn’t been much better. He claims rightly, Obama negotiated a terrible deal with Iran; that he would have negotiated a much better deal because the Persians (he said) are terrific negotiators. This is the thing I don’t agree with about Mr. Trump. Trump would do well to read a good biographer on Winston Churchill. To Trump, everything in negotiable. He will negotiate a 2 state solution with the Islamic killers in Israel. He would have negotiated a better deal with Iran. He will work with Iran. Not everything can be negotiated. Some peoples and regimes are so murderous and criminal the only thing they understand is force at the point of a gun. This is something Churchill understood that Trump does not.

      • He said any deal would be up to Israel, he defers to them.

    • Thank you!!

    • SJS

You’ve been mislead, or you are purposeful in misleading. Your rant indicates the latter, to which I respectfully submit that you’re full of crap. What garbage you are.

      • Aaron

The facts remain. Look it up yourself–it’s all in the Congressional record.

  • John Roberts

Cruz, Rubio, or Hillary is a win for Goldman Sachs, and Wall Street. How can so called “conservatives” be so stupid?

  • danE DanE

DT’s campaign is 100% patriotic and THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT AND ABSOLUTELY THE RIGHT THING TO DO! How can any American vote against him? The answer is simple. The elections are rigged, the people writing here and there for cruz and against trump are TRAITORS and/or spies because cruz is TOTALLY trashing the US Constitution with his canadian birth. TRAITORS, SPIES, and scum will do anything for the almighty dollar. The illuminati NWO is controlling the elections. They control msm and they created cruz rising in the polls so that it won’t look so obvious that they cheated. Elections fraud is common core now and America has been taken over by paid obots, cruzbots, rubbots and they (NWO scum) will see to it that someone gets the nomination TO LOSE against hitlery. For example: cruz gets nomination (really gets orders from NWO headquarters) through cheating and drops out because he finally realizes he is not eligible, DT drops out because he cannot beat the cheaters, or ? bush becomes nominee to run against hitlery and the fix is in for hitlery or bush to be the next potus, if we make it that far. Everyone writing things against DT are the most vile and wicked people on the planet because you are against your country becoming GREAT, AGAIN! The NWO has over a billion evil wicked heartless subhuman’s doing their bidding. If becomes fact that DT is a infiltrator and set to continue the destruction of America then I will maintain my beliefs and will add DT to the same list BUT my instincts thinks he means what he says and says what he means and he is sincere about what he says. If the people don’t get out and vote then there is nothing more for him to do and he just may get PO’d and let the NWO nuke your arses. There bottom line is to rid the world of 6 billion. Jesus Saves, we are in the last days, ask Jesus to save you! bibletruthradio.com

For anyone with doubts about Trump, please watch this vid, which convinces me he is the best man to lead America. He understands the Islamic threat the best.

Moreover, Cruz and everyone else keep talking about how we need someone who can “take on and confront Vladimir Putin.”

Hell no! We don’t need to “take on” Russia. Putin wants close relations with America, and we need close relations with him. We need an alliance, including Russia, in order to criminalize Islam Worldwide and destroy Iranian leadership. That will NEVER happen unless Russia gets on board with us. We should also let Putin annex Iran for Russia in exchange for his joining our side. For God’s Sake, let’s stop poking Putin in the eye. Trump understands all this. We must end the animosity with Russia now!

    https://youtu.be/tjo4u88no7U

Watch this vid too to see how Putin feels about America. He happens to admire and endorse Trump, by the way.

    https://youtu.be/5xwuVjgMfU4

Here’s a full interview with Putin, from the 60 Minutes show, that will really let you get to know this mysterious man. He is NOT an evil monster to be feared or confronted. You will learn how he really feels about America, the Islamic crisis, and Donald Trump.

Disappointing Pamela. I thought you were more insightful. Cruz is not only a much disliked man except by religious right wingers, he is also too right wing to be a good potus, he would split the country just like Obama has done. He represents everything people hate about the GOP

Better get the election right this time…….or else

  • RCCA

Cruz got a lot of support in Iowa with the Evangelicals arguing for “religious liberty” and claiming that Christians are being “persecuted” because they refuse to serve gay customers. See: https://youtu.be/GvwuZKhRa4E Somehow Cruz and his supporters believe that serving “certain” people equally in their work life translates into not being able to worship their faith. He held a major rally in August on this theme. See: http://www.c-span.org/video/?327740-1/senator-ted-cruz-rtx-religious-rally-des-moines-iowa

Personally I believe your religious beliefs dictate your behavior and your personal relationship with God, not who you open your business to. US courts have found that having a business means you serve anyone and everyone who comes to you, regardless of your religious beliefs or theirs. For instance, if you are an Orthodox Jew who believes that the Messiah has not yet come, you do not refuse to serve Christians who believe Jesus is the Messiah, and vice versa.

How would Cruz handle Muslim cab drivers who do not want to serve customers with seeing eye dogs? He’d have to support them. How about Muslims who want to stop the line and pray at work, etc.? Wouldn’t he defend their “religious liberty?” I’m sure he’d support that too.

I don’t know how anyone can really support Cruz, least of all Geller.

    • Patti York

what exactly does Cruz plan to do to stop the crucifixions and beheadings of Christians in other countries? Most likely nothing,, as long as that continues, his base will remain scared. Apparently that works just fine and dandy for him.

      • RCCA

He has some idea of going in with overwhelming force and then leaving. (as if that has any real possibility) see: http://www.msnbc.com/morning-joe/watch/ted-cruz-on-fighting-isis-2016-rubio-583539779532#twitter_signin

He talks a great game, that’s what politicians do. He learned as debater how to win arguments by being confident and convincing. But as I’ve said before, how much experience does he have actually building anything or running anything in the real world beyond intellectual constructs? He’s been a lawyer, that’s it.

Regarding his assertions about his “integrity” he talks a great game. And that’s all it is. He told the evangelicals that ending gay marriage will be a top priority but when he was in NYC at a fundraiser with some gay conservatives, told them that issue won’t really be at the top of his to-do list. “During the question period, one of the donors told Cruz that gay marriage was one of the few issues on which the two disagreed. Then the donor asked: “So would you say it’s like a top-three priority for you — fighting gay marriage?”

“No,” Cruz replied. “I would say defending the Constitution is a top priority. And that cuts across the whole spectrum — whether it’s defending [the] First Amendment, defending religious liberty.”

        Read more: http://www.politico.com/story/2015/12/ted-cruz-gay-marriage-secret-audio-217090#ixzz3z417WQOX

Of course when you get to know Cruz “defending religious liberty” is the code he used among the evangelicals in Iowa to rally against equality for gays.

        • Patti York

I do not find Cruz convincing or even remotely sincere. Take note parents. This what will happen if you dont beat your kids hard enough for lying, they will be just like Cruz. He is as dishonest as Obama.

          • RCCA

There are better ways of teaching honesty IMO, but your intuition is spot on. Definitely Cruz is in the same league as Obama when it comes to deception. He claims for instance that he is totally against Washington insiders and the establishment and for getting rid of big government agencies, etc. But his campaign director is Chad Sweet who is about as connected with the Washington/big bank cartel as you can get.

“What’s Behind Ted Cruz’s Apparent Change of Heart About the TSA? … Sweet’s own company made millions from the sale of body scanners to the TSA. Chad Sweet’s professional and political background betrays Cruz’s claims of being someone who promises ‘not to continue going in the same direction’ and to ‘bring power out of Washington, and back to we the people.’ ”

After serving as Director of the CIA, Chad Sweet served as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley and later vice president of Goldman Sachs. He later worked for the Department of Homeland Security during the Bush administration, and is the co-founder of the Chertoff Group, a security consulting company…” http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/politics/item/22128-whats-behind-ted-cruzs-apparent-change-of-heart-about-the-tsa

Chad Sweet was never Director of the CIA.
There’s a lot of garbage on the net, something to suit any paranoid taste.

          • RCCA

Sorry that detail got past me, you’re right. Correction: He served in the CIA’s National Clandestine Service. He’s also been described as being in the agency’s Directorate of Operations. (whatever that is) http://www.cipamericas.org/archives/1817 That might be where the mistake started.
Bloomberg Business: Mr. Chad C. Sweet is a Co-Founder of The Chertoff Group and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Principal. At the Department of Homeland Security, Mr. Sweet worked directly to restructure and optimize the flow of information between the CIA, FBI and other members of the national security community and DHS. … At Chertoff Group, Mr. Sweet utilizes his unique background in intelligence, homeland security and investment banking to provide M&A advice to companies wishing to expand within the defense, aerospace and security industries, and to help private capital groups evaluate investment opportunities within the sector. After having helped to fight the threat of Communism during his tenure at the CIA, Mr. Sweet left the Agency in the early 1990 and began a career in finance. He started with Morgan Stanley investment banking and then was recruited by Goldman Sachs. He spent six of his twelve years in finance in overseas assignments. …

          • joe kulak

    • joe kulak

You have a problem with “persecuted”, Bruce?

      • RCCA

Yeah, when it’s a fake claim. Just because you don’t agree with the law you can’t claim you are being persecuted if you are unwilling to follow the law. There is real persecution in Syria, Iraq, Nigeria, etc., where Christians really are being persecuted for being Christians. No one is stopping these people in the USA from worshipping or building churches or killing them for believing in Christ.

I’m voting for an American -TRUMP. Cruz is NOT a natural born citizen. We are just about to get rid of our last one. Do not expect the Republicans to stand up for Cruz like the liberal press and Democrats did for Obama.
Besides Cruz is just more hot air from Goldman Sachs, he talks but has not achieved anything but helping Obama pass more control of the US by the UN.
Trump will create jobs, seal our borders and build our military. Read his books please.

President Obama is a “foreigner.” It has nothing to do with his citizenship or his place of birth.

Lets all agree that there is no perfect candidate….except for me and I refuse to run. Cruz would probably make an ok president. The problem is that I don’t think he can defeat Clinton. If in fact we were voting for someone that would have the best probability of of fixing our economic woes, that someone would be Trump. Trump is not the most conservative, but he does best understand the economic problems facing us. So, I would say to all of you Cruzbots, be open minded and be open to us Trumpbots. Either would be far better than the GOPe or Dems. Remember, in the fall we need to get a president that will be an America first candidate, not a globalist, or socialist.

Cruz was the only one in D.C. with enough guts to stand up on the floor of the Senate and call out all of the crooks and weasels in the leadership of both parties down there, making their little deals to screw over the American people and benefit the special interests with all kinds of crony capitalist big-government pork and corporate welfare. Obama, Reid, Pelosi, McConnell and while he was in charge there, Boehner were all in it together, so we got stuck with monstrosities like the trillion-dollar-plus spending bill funding Obamacare and Obama’s illegal executive amnesty for the undocumented trespassers, Obama’s corrupt Iran agreement and all kinds of other horrors. No wonder the Washington Establishment hates this guy!

Cruz won by the most disgusting kind of cheating. His campaign manager e-mailed to every caucus captain, that Ben Carson has quit the race and asking his voters to go to Ted Cruz. Than later they sent an other e-mail that stated that it has been confirmed, that Ben Carson has quit, etc. Which was obviously a big fat lie.
If Cruz didn’t have done this, Ben Carson would have ended up with a few delegates, Cruz would have win with a narrow margin – or Trump would have win with a narrow margin. Cruz however was not prepared to play it honestly.
