This is very bad news. This is what awaits you.

From a “jihadi university” in the Syrian city of Raqqa, the scientists have stunned western weapons experts by producing a homemade thermal battery for surface-to-air missiles. The Islamic State can now recommission thousands of missiles

IS Bomb Skills ‘Truly The Stuff Of Nightmares’

A former Special Forces bomb technician tells Sky News the new footage shows IS are leagues ahead of their terrorist predecessors….. more.

Jihadi University’ Builds Missiles

The trademark flag-waving masked gunmen I’d expected to see were replaced with clean-shaven, technically adept and highly trained weapons specialists giving expert tuition in how to turn obsolete munitions and ammunition into state-of-the art weapon systems.

Without doubt, the most chilling aspect of watching this training video was the unprecedented levels of technical expertise and ingenuity of those weapons engineers.

Obama say, ‘no worries, Islam is peace. But the weather is gonna getcha!’

“Exclusive: Inside IS Terror Weapons Lab,” Sky News, (thanks to Tom):

Experts describe the footage obtained by Sky News of a “jihadi technical college” as an intelligence gold mine.

Terror group Islamic State is employing scientists and weapons experts to train jihadists to carry out sophisticated “spectacular” attacks in Europe, while also modifying weapons systems capable of targeting passenger jets and military aircraft.

From a “jihadi university” in the Syrian city of Raqqa, the scientists have stunned western weapons experts by producing a homemade thermal battery for surface-to-air missiles.

It had been regarded as a virtually impossible feat for terror groups working without a military infrastructure.

Mannequins fitted with thermostats aim to evade car bomb security scanners

But footage exclusively obtained by Sky News shows that IS can now recommission thousands of missiles assumed by western governments to have been redundant through old age.

Heat-seeking warheads can be used to attack passenger and military aircraft. They are 99% accurate once locked on.

For decades terror groups, including the IRA, had these weapons but storing them and maintaining the thermal battery – a key component to the warhead – was very difficult.

It seems that IS scientists have got round the problem, and that revelation will shock the world of international security.

The IS research and development team has produced fully working remote controlled cars to act as mobile bombs, while they have fitted the cars with “drivers”; mannequins with self-regulating thermostats to produce the heat signature of humans, allowing the car bombs to evade sophisticated scanning machines that protect military and government buildings in the West.

The group trained fighters from a variety of countries to carry out attacks and to train more jihadists in their own countries.

An IS trainer with more than eight hours of unedited training videos was captured by the remnants of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) as he headed north through Turkey towards Europe.

The FSA passed the material to Sky News but was not aware of the importance of the videos, described by a weapons advisor to the British military as an intelligence “gold mine”.

Using aerial and satellite imagery Sky News has identified the location of the “university” and pieced together the apparently random collection of video files to reveal the true extent of IS’s sophisticated development and training team.

Although this type of activity had been widely suspected by western intelligence services, this is the first concrete evidence that it is taking place.

Crucially, it is far more developed than had previously been thought possible.

Groups of trainees from a range of countries including Syria, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia, Tunisia, Egypt and Pakistan were given terror training courses using science labs and facilities based around the former Equestrian Centre in Raqqa.

The extensive collection of videos shows the men being trained to adapt the electronic parts of scrap cars to make the remote controlled cars work using sophisticated un-jammable radio sets; and long lessons on how to configure the mannequins to appear like human drivers.

driverless car bomb ONLY USE FOR RAMSAY STORY ON 050116

Video: Islamic State’s Driverless Car Bomb Some of the trainers and designers make no effort to disguise themselves but the “students” remain largely concealed.

While it is clear that all those involved have a clear idea what their objective is, at no point do they reveal the nature of their intended targets.

Security analysts believe it is an indicator that they are trying to preserve their own operational security while accepting that they need to train and circulate the videos to followers abroad.

Major Chris Hunter, a former bomb technician in the special forces and advisor to the British military, said he was shocked at some of the developments revealed in the videos.

He said: “I think this is one of the most significant intelligence finds in terms of Daesh.

“What we’ve seen with their typical propaganda videos is they’re very, very high quality.

“They’re designed, they’re produced to inspire people and prospectively touch the nerves of anybody who is viewing them; they’re done in a very specific way.

“With this training footage it’s very clearly purely designed to pass on information – to pass on the progress in the research and development areas – and it gives us a very good insight into where they are now, what they’re aspiring to do and crucially the diversity of the types of threats we might face.

“So I would say it’s an intel gold mine.”

In one of the videos a man speaking in Russian walks a camera through a store containing an array of explosive materials from TNT, improvised missiles to plastic explosives.

He explains how the materials can all be used to make bombs if they have obtained the correct fuses.

In Turkey an IS defector confirmed to Sky News that a top secret training programme was known about in Raqqa, his home town. He confirmed the programme was designed for attacks in Europe and further afield.

The defector told Sky News: “Videoing and documenting this training programme was meant for Europe to cause huge damage.

“If it was meant internally (inside Syria) they could send someone to set an explosive device or wire a car as they are able to do this (openly).

“But doing such a programme and documenting it was meant to target a large number of people and in more than one location, of course it wasn’t meant either for Syria or Iraq.”

This collection of videos is far more serious than anything we have seen from IS before.

A jihadi college training foreign fighters to fight in other countries, while developing missiles to continue the war in Syria, was suspected but never seen.

Although this film was intercepted it is thought likely there will be others in circulation, and there are hundreds if not thousands of jihadists eager to learn.

Sky News has alerted the security sources to the material that has come into its possession.

  • Wonderful. Good to know that they’re the religion of peace, otherwise this could be a problem

  • Mahou Shoujo

There is a very high level of technical expertise to assure these sophisticated devices work. It is entirely possible they can be modified to meet original spec. However, the critical component is the human element. If it is irrational, hasty or makes any mistake, failure. If they do manage to succeed, then the option of massive retaliation by victim countries is a very strong possibility. With the Russians and Chinese being very likely to take precisely nothing from islamic terrorists.

    • drummie

They probably have competent engineers etc working for them. With the money they have amassed, they can probably buy anything they desire, up to and including small nukes. Can you see a dirty bomb going off in times square or on the front steps of the capital?

      • Mahou Shoujo

Actually quite easily. It is only the fact that muslim terrorists do not have the self control to effectually use the weapons they have. When they do, it will invite massive retaliation.

      • Kumar Kumar

Do u know pak is acumulating small nukes . Pak retired airforce general in a video expains pak media that india only developed nuclear technology to make sure usa does not threaten them tradewise .
India will never use against any country .
It never created it against pak.

But pak is creating small nukes to create war with india.

He also added that if pak uses even a single nuke world powrrs will just nuke pak.

He says it is not necessary for pak to create nuke .

    • Alex Peshansky

So we now should depend on Russia and China for our safety?
      Just wonderful.

      • Mahou Shoujo

Who would you prefer? The United States, France, England or Germany?

        • Alex Peshansky

Every country should depend on itself to maintain its independence.
I am US citizen. We should depend on USA.

          • Kumar Kumar

Usa is a great nation unlike europe which has forgotten its great past and nationalism.

Im sure donald if not ted will become usa president in the best interest of human speicies.

Hopefully europe will follow suit with its la pen , greet wilders, pegida, Britain first etc.

          • Mahou Shoujo

That would be ideal, stand alone systems work best as the old saying of a chain being only as strong as its weakest link holds true. Europe, Turkey and other “Nato” partners are not reliable, they would talk until the situation is lost, then capitulate.

          • IzlamIsTyranny

Turkey is an islamic, totalitarian, apartheid state — they’re part of the problem of islamic-nazism not the solution.

All Turkey is, is a staging area for colonists, sent them back to there or Libya.

  • drummie

ONLY the JV team could come up with this. Obama is either naive to the max or is supporting ISIS. Personally, I think he is supporting ISIS covertly and it seems sometimes in the open. Something caused Benghazi that has required a very high level cover-up. What were they actually doing there when there was no embassy or consulate? Running weapons maybe? No matter, Obama has done everything he can to destroy America by transforming it into a 3rd rate socialist utopia (he thinks). The American people have to be tired of his lies and seemingly non-strategy that always helps ISIS. Once might be a mistake or ignorance. Continuously requires effort.

    • Budvarakbar

He’s coming after your guns while giving the Iranians the bomb — the SOB is a Russian/Iranian agent — the treasonous CIA think they have him under control but he is at best a double agent — he has set up and supports ISIS to destabilize everything for the benefit of the Russians and Iranians – he gave the Iranians Iraq, the hildabeast is close to being thrown under the bus for the cluster fuk that Benghazi turned into — Kerry will probably have a plane accident — the Saudis are close to being thrown under the bus — meanwhile the US military has been almost destroyed with PC crap and budget cuts – all the real patriotic officers have been liquidated — the winners will turn out to be Russia, China, Israel, Iran and Syria! A year from now Europe will be in turmoil and the US will essentially be in a lockdown mode in order to try to control the ‘slimes and their enablers – India/Pakistan will be at each other’s throats and the aforementioned ‘winners’ will control all the ME and most of North Africa — a new assault by the MoBroHood on Egypt will be on the horizon!

  • Enemy at the Gate:

“A nation can survive its fools and even the
ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is
less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the
city. But the traitor moves among those within the gates freely, his sly
whispers rustling through all alleys, heard in the very halls of government
itself. For the traitor appears no traitor; he speaks in the accents familiar
to his victim, and he wears their face and their garments and he appeals to the
    baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation;
    he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city;
he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less
to be feared. The traitor is the plague.” – Marcus Tullius Cicero, Roman
    Orator – 106-43 B.C

    • Jeremiah

Obama is not a secret traitor. He has been rather open.

      • Rob Porter

Why then has he not been removed from office? Answer: Because his Republican opponents are pathetic. Robert Spencer now calls it the stupid party and he’s right.

        • Dorrie

The reason is because he’s half black and people are afraid of wide spread rioting of blacks who voted for him.

That being said, please get rid of the egg on your avatar…

          • Rob Porter

The price of not doing something about this rotten president and risking blacks rioting, is seeing this disgusting excuse for a leader further ruin the country.

Re the avatar, it recently just appeared. I didn’t put the wretched thing there – and don’t want to put a pic of my face there because you might say I could rent myself out to haunt houses!

          • Dorrie

As you can see, I don’t have an egg or my face. Your choice what picture you use.

    • Rob Porter

Not the ‘Enemy at the Gate’, it’s the ‘Enemy inside the the Gate.

      • VoiceInTheWilderness

You, of course, realize that there are two sides to EVERY gate…do you not? To be “at the gate” implies NO indication of which side of the gate you are “at”. You may be at the INSIDE of the gate preparing to throw it open to the enemies of the city…just as Achilles did in the Battle of Troy. Regardless of which side of the gate you are on, you are STILL “At THe Gate”.

Now that, Rob Porter, is how to PROPERLY pick a nit!

        Grow up.

        • Rob Porter

LOL. Yes, but your enemies do not choose to stand inside the gate. Once inside the intention is to cut your throat.

      • “An enemy at the gates is
less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly against the
        city. “

Devil knows how to impart the knowledge so destructive and devastating. This can really prove what we have with refugees inside our countries and what these Muslims could do if given freedom and access to our countries. This would only make Obama more proud and happy about what his brothers are doing. We must stand against Muslims by all means to stop this evil spoil our societies. we must also educate all that this evil comes in different names like, Hamas, AlQueda, IS, Al-Umar-Mujahideen, Harkat-ul-Mujahideen, Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Indian Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen, Boko Haram, and all the other terrorist organisations around the world are from Islam and they meant the same message to all the nations.

    • Budvarakbar

“This can really prove what we have with refugees inside our countries and what these Muslims could do if given freedom and access to our countries”

What do you mean “if given freedom and access “? Where have you been hiding? – ever hear of WTC 1993 or 9-11-2001? Fort Hood, Boston, San Bernadino — etc etc etc . Hell – they are all the way into the WH and have been for the last 30 years. Get out from under your rock

  • WarEagle82

Just the other day I was wondering how long it would take someone to reverse engineer the batteries on these MANPADs. I am surprised Iran hasn’t been able to do this given the resources available to them.

    I guess I’ll be driving more….

    • JSebastian

They didn’t reverse engineer them…they are just using them….no big deal. The shelf life on a thermal battery is basically limited only by exposure to the elements. If the battery has been stored in a well-preserved environment, then they last nearly indefinitely.

      • Honkingeese Watchgoose lll

Why is it called a thermal battery and not just a battery?
I thought they used a gas to chill the heat seeking portion of the head?
Is this battery used to initiate the chiller?
Does it need special properties due to g-forces or required to put out uniquely high current?

        • JSebastian

Thermal batteries are desirable for weapons applications due to the long shelf life and very low rates of discharge or deterioration of the active elements. This has the effect of reducing maintenance costs and cycles and ensuring reliability of the stockpile.

The thermal section is generally used for all electrical power requirements in flight. There are a variety of methods for cooling the seeker: gas chillers work through the simple function of gas expansion. Can also use a heat exchanger or thermocouple.

          • Honkingeese Watchgoose lll

Thankyou JSebastian, I appreciate you making the effort to reply. Now I know.
It’s a pity that in this instance (with the weapons in the hands of fanatic lunatics) that there wasn’t a planned obsolescence feature which would stop the missile from firing or even take off and return to the launcher if say … a code of the day isn’t put in before launch. Or better yet keep them really easy to operate but don’t let them get into the hands of the enemy in the first place!
These things could be lethal around airports, a large passenger liner filled with av gas as it lifts off for a long haul flight etc.
I really hate seeing these vermin with this kind of gear.

          • JSebastian

Anytime. Failsafes are usually built at the “command and control” system level, not at the individual component level. The exceptions to that general rule are obviously, the “package” itself, the trigger, and inertial guidance (which are carefully monitored to ensure that they haven’t been tampered with, to say, redirect the weapon back on the launch site or a friendly target). Most other systems are not protected, either because they aren’t capable of doing any harm by themselves, or because they are slaved to a master control that is part of a failsafed system.

  • Budvarakbar

So what’s the surprise? — 50 years ago and ever since every engineering school in the west has been infiltrated by ‘foreign students’ —

The West might get lucky and the first use of one of these will be against the World “leader/s” that keep telling everyone that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’. And IS members ARE Muslims, despite what those lying fools tell you.

  • scocope

I guess if you view these people as those who are so simple that they do not fully understand their own “Holy” book you would also believe they are not capable of constructing electronic devices.

    • Jack Holan

No, I’m not interpreting Islam for Muslims and Dr. Spenser certainly is qualified. However the two blogs, AtlasShrugs and JihadWatch for the most part repeat Fatwas from significant Muftis such as the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Mecca, Medina the Head of Al Azar University. The interpretations expressed on these two sites happen to be the generally accepted ones with Saudi Arabia being the standard bearer for Sunni and Iran for Shia. So no one is saying those bases of knowledge of are misinterpreting Islam. If you are CAIR and claiming those views are not accepted by North American Muslims, hold a News Conference and disavow those beliefs in no uncertain terms.
As far as intelligence of Muslims, I haven’t heard anyone call them simpletons. Truly you have two types. Peasants from villages who are uneducated and easily manipulated and then the upper class from the cities who highly educated in IT, Medicine, Engineering, Chemistry, Juris Prudence, Electronics and other Disciplines. This Dichotomy has existed since around 1900. So, tell me your point scocope.

      • scocope

Wow! You are certainly personalizing my characterization of our body politic in general and our Administration in particular. This article was compiled from Sky News and my point was directed at their characterization of what was occurring. If YOU are the original reporter of the story sorry, my point is apt. If you aren’t, why are you interjecting yourself in to it?

  • sakovkt

If this is the thermal battery referred to, I don’t see what’s so difficult about it. It’s actually WW2 technology.
It uses molten salts rather than liquid. So what?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Molten_salt_battery

No secret is more fleeting than the military.

Use a weapon once and it’s suddenly public property, as in
    the enemy.

This is where the bullet heads and the egg heads never quite
    connected.

Worse, is that present day technology actually favors the DIY
type more than it does the big spender.

One guy with a bad attitude can actually cause more damage
than 105 mm which takes a lot to haul around and use.
