Salon: “After Paris, let’s stop blaming Muslims and take a hard look at ourselves”

193

This is the madness, the pathology of the left. Torturing, dismembering young Westerners enjoying their lives on a Friday night out, and the monsters at Salon blame us.

When Muslims attack, the left attacks the victims.

Salon: “After Paris, let’s stop blaming Muslims and take a hard look at ourselves” By Robert Spencer, November 14, 2015

Story continues below advertisement

Yeah. How dare those French get in the way of those jihad suicide bombers and gunmen? How dare 160 French get massacred by Islamic jihadists? Don’t they realize that makes Islam look bad?

Also, when did Salon ever “blame Muslims”? How can they stop what they never started? The whole framing of this issue as one of “blaming Muslims” actually sidesteps the real issue: what is in the texts and teachings of Islam that incites believers to violence, and what can be done about it? When, aside from Jeffrey Tayler articles, has Salon ever examined that?

[the_ad id=”72852″]

“Our terrorism double standard: After Paris, let’s stop blaming Muslims and take a hard look at ourselves,” by Ben Norton, Salon, November 14, 2015:

Any time there is an attack on civilians in the post-9/11 West, demagogues immediately blame it on Muslims. They frequently lack evidence, but depend on the blunt force of anti-Muslim bigotry to bolster their accusations.

Actual evidence, on the other hand, shows that less than 2 percent of terrorist attacks from 2009 to 2013 in the E.U. were religiously motivated. In 2013, just one percent of the 152 terrorist attacks were religious in nature; in 2012, less than 3 percent of the 219 terrorist attacks were inspired by religion.

Fantasy analysis, derived by jimmying the data. And even if it were accurate, the claim that there are other terror threats doesn’t mean that there isn’t an Islamic terror threat.

The vast majority of terrorist attacks in these years were motivated by ethno-nationalism or separatism. In 2013, 55 percent of terrorist attacks were ethno-nationalist or separatist in nature; in 2012, more than three-quarters (76 percent) of terrorist attacks were inspired by ethno-nationalism or separatism.

These facts, nonetheless, have never stopped the prejudiced pundits from insisting otherwise.

On Friday the 13th of November, militants massacred at least 127 people in Paris in a series of heinous attacks.

There are many layers of hypocrisy in the public reaction to the tragedy that must be sorted through in order to understand the larger context in which these horrific attacks are situated — and, ultimately, to prevent such attacks from happening in the future.
Right-wing exploitation

As soon as the news of the attacks broke, even though there was no evidence and practically nothing was known about the attackers, right-wing pundits immediately latched on to the violence as an opportunity to demonize Muslims and refugees from Muslim-majority countries.

The list of right-wing demagogues who chimed in reads like a Who’s Who of leading reactionaries. In a disgrace to the victims, the shout chorus of conservatives exploited the horrific attacks to distract from and even deny domestic problems. They flatly told Black Lives Matter activists fighting for basic civil and human rights, fast-food workers seeking liveable wages and union rights, and students challenging crippling debts that their problems are insignificant because they are not being held hostage at gunpoint.

More insidiously, when evidence began to suggest that extremists were responsible for the attacks, and when ISIS eventually claimed responsibility, the demagogues implied or even downright insisted that Islam — the religion of 1.6 billion people — was to blame, and that the predominately (although not entirely) Muslim refugees entering the West are only going to carry out more of such attacks….

His first mistake is saying Islam is a religion. It is a cult, but it is also a political ideology. So although they can yell allah akbah all they like, their motive is to violently pursue their political agenda, taking over the world and pushing sharia all in the name of an archaic 12th century cult.

That adherents will not speak out, is not from blind support of this endeavour, but from fear. Fear from the 10pm door knock by the henchmen from the mosque who enforce blind obedience to the doctrine.

The current day Chamberlains, who pronounce “peace for our time” will be recorded by history, as poorly as the naive Neville was in 1939.

Little some thing i picked up along the way>>>CAN MUSLIMS BE GOOD AMERICANS OR GOOD CANADIANS

This is very interesting and we all need to read it from start to finish. And send it on to everyone. Maybe this is why our Muslims are so quiet and not speaking out about any atrocities.

Can a good Muslim be a good American or a good Canadian ?

This question was forwarded to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his reply:

Theologically – no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, The moon god of Arabia.

Religiously – no. Because no other religion is accepted by His Allah except Islam. (Quran,2:256)(Koran)

Scripturally – no. Because his allegiance is to the five Pillars of Islam and the Quran.

Geographically – no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.

Socially – no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically – no. Because he must submit to the mullahs (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America, the great Satan.

Domestically – no. Because he is instructed to marry four Women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him.

(Quran 4:34 )

Intellectually – no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically – no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.

Spiritually – no. Because when we declare ‘one nation under God,’ The Christian’s God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as Heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran’s 99 excellent names.

Therefore, after much study and deliberation… Perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both ‘good’ Muslims and ‘good’ Americans. Call it what you wish it’s still the truth. You had better believe it. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future.

The religious war is not hard to understand… if you can read. It is spoke of in the Bible repeatedly. Nor is it bigger than we can understand because greater is He in me, than he that is in the world. Nothing is too great or too big for the one true and living God the creator of all living things Yehovah.

Superb! They just don’t make good sense as immigrants. They’re a bad bet, a bad risk. You might get a few good ones but history shows you WILL get some nasty wrong’uns and those will agitate for the destruction of your way of life, it never HASN’T happened and every country that muslims have gone to they have eventually killed off Christianity or cowed it into a terrified shadow of it’s former self and insisted on having special consideration given to them rather than give any to their host. Freedom of speech, women’s safety, community peace and independent thought all take a big slapdown when muslims immigrate, the net result is the country is always worse off.
They bring nothing. They have nothing we need. Why would we risk it?

The USA has been determining quotas for immigration and other types of visas, and has been doing so for a long time. The principle of equality (under God, for those who don’t know that) applies worldwide, but then: WHY are there quotas?? The quotas are not determined on the grounds of race.

I’ve been pointing out the concept of race is vague because it is based on a person’s or group of persons with similar external characteristics.

But genetics is tricky. How would you classify BS (Barry Soetoro) Obama? I classify him as White, culturally, for he has very few features of the original Black race that was enslaved in the USA (and in Latin-America). From the Black race he has merely the very curly hair (hair that is oval in cross section, instead of round), and the color of his skin (which is actually not that “black” in color). As to his natural body odor, I cannot say, because I’ve never seen him directly (nor want to). He is also, perhaps, one of the best liar Presidents (I go by “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, to decide whether someone lied…. and he studied law, and was adjunct instructor, etc.) “Like they say: 95% of the lawyers in the USA give the rest a bad name.” I mean, lawyers will not tell you the truth, will tell you part of the truth, and will tell you other things aside from the truth to confuse you. Oh, and like an M.D., don’t even think of talking to them without a retainer or advance payment. Oh, and don’t contradict them, for they don’t like it.

Anyway, immigration quotas and for other types of visas, are set according to nationality. The fact that we have quotas means we don’t apply all that nonsense about “equality” in immigration. If that was so, all quotas would be the same (equal, mathematically).

Do you know South Koreans don’t have a quota, meaning any number from over there can get a visa as long as they meet the requirements, and apply? In other words, there’s favoritism. That’s not the case with respect to most other countries. Someone, somewhere decides how many visas of each type each country will be assigned (and my point is that it is never the same number for all countries).

So, we already discriminate between countries, not between races (whatever “race” means) in terms of visa quotas. It is a tool the USA uses to favor or disfavor certain countries over others, to come to the USA in one category or another. It’s very complex. So talking about “equality” is just talk, not reality. How can we talk about equality if we bomb Iraq or ISIS and we kill innocent civilians who happen to be around?

In conclusion, there is already a government structure as to how someone determines visa quotas. We should look into that and tell Congress how we want it done. In the long run, it changes the balance in our society, and we cannot do it too much or too fast. Even tourist visas can permit someone entry, and then they overstay. We’ve been letting someone or some agency decide this for us, but that’s negligent if not stupid.

BS claims East African non slave ancestry on his father’s wide. Recent DNA research reveals them to be a good 30% or more of European descent (from Ice Age times although the Portuguese certainly lent things a hand, or whatever more recently)

On his mother’s side that crowd is as mixed as is possible and still have, mostly kinda sorta white skin ~ and an ability to digest lactose ~

Which means BS is at most 65% European ancestry, and at least 50%.

I personally don’t believe we knew either his mother or father. There’s a whole island full of people who look like Obama just off shore of Bali ~ but it’s in Malaysia and not part of Indonesia.

More likely he was adopted from those people as a baby, or young child to possibly replace another baby who was lost.

Wow. What seemed believable to me was that his atheist mom got pregnant posing for Frank to sell pornography, and the mom asked the guy from Kenya (Obama Sr.) to marry her in exchange for a visa, because his student visa had expired. The Immigration office saw irregularities and denied him the visa, so he had to go back to Kenya or face deportation later. So the mom was stuck with a baby (and in those days moms didn’t abort their fetus as easily as today), and no husband to claim him. So she left the baby with the grandparents, and took off for “the Mainland”. BS Obama was raised by his atheist grandparents, and had a happy life at the time, and went to the best High School (Punahou), and was sent to visit Frank every weekend, where he was indoctrinated in socialist concepts. In Hawaii, at the time, a person could register a child as born in Hawaii, without presenting the child, and even by the time the “child” was already an adult. The registration would automatically trigger announcements in the two liberal newspapers there. Lots of mystery, that’s for sure. Thx

What does an Islamic country have that we need? Highly skilled? Willing to learn and integrate with the host country society? Compassionate? Willing to work hard and contribute tot he good of their host country?

Or, are they just looking to parasite the best welfare they can find, while they terrorize and over-run the host country foolish enough to take them in. They appear to be an arrogant, obnoxious, un-invited guest who demands his host drop his customs, his religion, his morals, his laws and immediately meet the demands of this guest. A wise man would open his door, and pitch this ungrateful boar out – with far more force than necessary.

Currently a good 10% of our doctors and surgeons come from Middle Eastern countries.

Much of that is due to the EXODUS taken by the entire educated and technical class of people living in Iran.

They’re all here ~ my opthamologist, GP,.cardiologist, pharmacist…. and that was after switching over from a different medical care provider where my GP was Jewish, the optometrist was Jewish, the Opthamologist was Iranian (of some religion other than Islam), etc.

One of the partners of my current opthamologist is Saudi, as was my former dentist.

We got a hot bed of these guys around here.

They ain’t goin’ back, and, amazingly, none of them are Moslems.

Oh, that too, Jews, Christians, Bahai, Zorastrians and several other minority religious groups in that area LEFT.

Two things you are completely wrong about.

“he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles”

.

All men are created equal, well if they are white men. The Founding fathers thought there was nothing wrong with slavery. They also had indentured servants BTW who were not much better than slaves. Remember England was sending convicts to America.

The Christian’s God is loving and kind,

Well that is debatable the Old testament ‘god’ was definitely not so and was whitewashed by the Christian hierarchy.

Because he is instructed to marry four Women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him.

Not instructed to marry but permitted to marry. This permission was to secure the situation of wives of Muslims warriors killed in battle, but became extended to permit it as a general rule. There is only one reason for it today and that is to breed more children

Dummy: it says “for all men are created equal”. It doesn’t say they REMAIN equal. Like, you are not my equal, but I have to admit you are my equal as to God. Slaves were created equal, but man’s hardness of heart had put them in servitude against their will, and were kept that way by not allowing their education. But some were relatively fortunate to be slaves officially “owned” by some of the Founders. I say they were fortunate because they were treated very well. In The South, even Blacks had Black slaves, and often it wasn’t pretty. The human heart wants to buck against oppression.

Bullsh*t, little troll.

The Founding Fathers believed they could ERADICATE slavery, widely practiced at that time across the entire world, in just 20 years.

The 2/3 issue was put in place regarding slaves so that the southern plantation owners would not import more slaves in order to control the government through voting numbers. It was set to discourage slavery.

Contrary to Leftist drivel, the Founders were ardent Christians and the Left has been trying to dismantle that truth for years.

Another little known fact was George Washington’s dedication of the Rhode Island Synagogue–the nation’s first.

As for Moslems? The Founders knew them to be murdeting, thieving pirates–and they still are.

The first war the US entered, was against Islamic pirates. If you know the Marine’s anthem – there is a reason why Tripoli was mentioned. Prior to Jefferson, the US was paying 20% of it’s GNP to the Muslims for protection against piracy. Jefferson opposed this; and when he became president, he sent the Marines to deal with the pirates.

This is why the marines were called “leathernecks”; because they sewed leather belts into their uniforms to protect their necks from the beheading that Muslims so love to do.

History is a good thing to learn; unfortunately they do not teach these lessons in our public schools.

Steve, 3/5 is far simpler. At the time Virginia had more than half the population, but it had many slaves. By simply counting slaves at 3/5 that redressed the balance and left Virginia with LESS THAN HALF the Representatives in the House!

It really had nothing at all to do with race ~

In any case it reflects an incredible advance in civil rights since slaves were to be counted as human beings ….. ordinarily in other slave holding societies they were certainly not included as being among the significant body of people.

It’s not that I myself don’t believe you, because I do. It is that too many people just don’t believe this, that is the problem. And hence the majority refuses to curtail freedom of religion, to discriminate on grounds of religion. So no effective defense against Islam is possible.

This assessor however makes it clear that he himself considers Islam itself CLEAR and he tells us it’s CLEAR tenets and intentions.

At the same time Muslims also maintain that Islam is clear, only they still do give the world many contradictory interpretations of Islam. And some try to convince the world that Islam is peaceful and that THAT is the only legitimate interpretation.

But we can also make a case that Islamic texts and theology are simply confused and confusing, hopelessly vague, obsolete (remember, it’s core texts have not been updated one iota for 1000 years), unclear, multi-interpretable.

When we discuss the supposed real meaning of Islam the Muslims deny it and the political correct refuse to believe us.

What no body can deny however, it seems, is that hundreds of millions of Muslims, including many very dangerous terrorists do practice a very violent and anti-democratic INTERPRETATION of Islam.

So we could compromise and let go of our tenet that Islam is clear and clearly bad and admit that Islam instead is multi-interpretable

and then use that irresponsible vagueness to get a majority to curtail freedom of religion and put democratic conditions on being Muslim. And then to discriminate against unqualified followers of Islam. Which is necessary for effective defense but still unthinkable.

The list is in desperate need of updating to include a few of the more recent and more notable acts of Islamic terror, including the attack on tourists in Tunisia, the Kuwait mosque bombing, the Baghdad market truck bombing, the Ankara Central Railway bombings, the twin bombings in Beirut, the bombing of the Russian passenger plane over the Sinai, and now Paris. For a more complete list of attacks, see WIKIPEDIA

The word avatar originates in Hinduism, where it stands for the “descent” of a deity in a terrestrial form (deities in India are popularly thought to be formless and capable of manifesting themselves in any form. Avatars can be used as virtual embodiments of embodied agents, which are driven more or less by artificial intelligence rather than real people.

Fair enough. Try this definition.

ava·tar. noun. The definition of an avatar is something visual used to represent non-visual concepts or ideas, or is an image that is used to represent a person in the virtual world of the Internet and computers. An example of an avatar is an icon you use to represent you on an Internet forum.

It’s just one of those words borrowed from the real world to describe something on your desktop, like widget, twisty, radio button, window, etc.

The ‘left wing’ does not understand the threat, nor do they wish to because it explodes the myth that all ideologies are equally valid. In the ‘leftist’ world anyone should be free to follow whatever path they like except of course the ideology on which the great democracies were founded on, namely the Judeo-Christian one.
It irks them so much that this ideology could be superior than the others. They would rather die, or let other meet that fate. They hate their own society whilst enjoying the benefits, kind of like you know who. No wonder they support them.

I read today about Muslim leaders in New Zealand condemning the attacks in Paris and how this is nothing to do with Islam. They are after all a “religion of peace”. They further claim to 100% condemn violence and terror wherever and however it happens. My question to these gutless wonders is why they have not condemned the current wave of violence and terror in Israel. They are a bunch of hypocrites spouting bumper sticker slogans.

Not just kill them, what is needed more is to go after their leaders including the fools that stand in their mosques and preach death and destruction to Israel and the Great Satan (US)… After a few of these, they will either take a second look at their activities or go into hiding. For sure if they feel targeted, they will stop showing their ugly faces on TV. However, being the fools that they are, I suspect they’d welcome being targeted since Islam is a culture based on death and destruction. They even get Law Degrees so they can take us to court and beat us at our own game by pretending to deserve to be treated as human beings under the Constitution. IF any country denied the very existence of Islam, that is where everyone would want to go but the Islamists would go after that country and eliminate it. They will not be denied.

We all know there are different types of “media”. The word comes from the Latin singular “medium” (meaning = central). You can get a “medium” cup of coffee, for instance, except Starbucks now uses names in Spanish & Italian for the cup sizes – all of which are actually larger in volume than an actual cup of 8 oz., or much smaller for an espresso.

The National Inquirer, for instance, focuses on hearsay., and altered photography (in other words, they can simply make up the “news”, which is cheaper than finding real, relevant, news). It’s not their fault, for people buy their product, so ok. Other types focus on auto accidents, in case you were yearning to know about the suffering of others, per our dangerous and wasteful transportation system.

Other types (like Salon, which I though was a hair-styling shop, or a brand of shampoo) focus on criticizing the opposition. Since for practical purposes we have a 2-Party political system, criticizing one leaves the other unscathed and predominant (emphasis on the word “dominant”). Like the saying goes: “There’s more than one way to skin a cat.” See? I just put myself against all the cat lovers in the world… and, like their cats are, they are ego-centric (medium).

You know what? He is right we do need to stop blaming Muslims. They are doing exactly what is expected of them. We need to place the blame where it is deserved. We are to blame for every single attack. WE have allowed the political class in every western nation to brow beat us into allowing these people into our countries. We have allowed them to build embassies (mosques) in every city in our countries. We have even elected them to office so they can further their domination and subversion of our laws and beliefs. So are they to blame for what they believe is their duty to their god? They believe it is their duty to dominate every corner of the planet for that god. We believe it is our duty to live in peace with all peoples. So who is to blame?

Actual evidence, on the other hand, shows that less than 2 percent of terrorist attacks from 2009 to 2013 in the E.U. were religiously motivated. In 2013, just one percent of the 152 terrorist attacks were religious in nature; in 2012, less than 3 percent of the 219 terrorist attacks were inspired by religion.
.
Only because that is the number that you admit are islamic terrorists.
How many more times will we see “the reason for the attack is unclear” as your defense of these murdering scum?
The evidence is just denial.

Good call. It’s amazing how many terrorist attacks are accompanied by the lie that the attackers motives were “unclear” or “unknown”.

The Colorado theater shooter dyed his hair red (in the manner of mohammud) before his attack — the news media tried to report he had converted to pi$$lam AFTER his terrorist attack. A hair-splitting maneuver that neatly avoided its classification as izlamic terrorism.
