There are some reasoning the shooting justifies arming military personnel in non combat situations. Two points that need to be considered. One, not all military personnel have the skills or emotional maturity to carry a loaded weapon. Yes, they all went to a firing range and fired off maybe 500 rounds. That was the last time they touched a weapon. Second, many personnel stationed at recruitment stations are there to get them closer to home due to emotional family issues. These people are already stressed and you want them carrying a loaded weapon. Putting a loaded weapon in the hands of an 20 something person whose spouse left them for a more attractive offer will lead to a tragic end.
