Simpson: “We ignored 3 brave women”

87

I am humbled to be named with these women. Deeply humbled. But the message is bigger than that — those who ignore, or worse, ridicule and smear the messenger do so at great risk to themselves, our nation, our freedom.

I run all the ugly stuff, it’s a lovely change to run the beautiful.

We ignored 3 brave women
Exclusive: Barbara Simpson names heroes with extraordinary courage, patriotism

Do you have any heroes? Is there anyone you look at and say, “I wish I had their courage – their determination – their willingness to put everything on the line supporting their beliefs”?

Likely not.

It’s nearly impossible today to find people who fit that definition.

Hero worship has been watered down to athletic ability and celebrity, mostly manufactured by slick PR firms.

If you doubt it, just ask your children who their heroes are. Then again, don’t ask.

There are three women I regard as heroes, and their courage relates to an issue facing all of us today.

I hesitate to call them a “trinity for freedom,” yet it fits them.

They’re an odd mix. A sexy French movie star, a gritty Italian journalist who grew up fighting in the resistance during World War II and an American Jew who puts her life on the line by focusing on threats to our freedom.

What they have in common is having had the foresight to see the imminent threat to the free world by the spread of militant Islam into the West and the courage to speak and write about it, despite the consequences.

Do you know who I’m talking about? Likely not, but I’ve been aware of their travails and battles, have written about them and in two instances, had the distinct honor to have talked with them personally: Brigitte Bardot, Oriana Fallaci and Pamela Geller.

Brigitte Bardot?

Movie fans from the ’50s through the ’70s know her as the amazing “sex kitten.” The beautiful French blonde smashed into the international consciousness with the movie, “And God Created Woman.” Her sensuous body, gorgeous blond hair and sexy pout drew thousands into theatres and sold millions of magazines.

I knew of her from that, but there was more. It dates back to the day I read an obscure news item (this was before the Internet) that Bardot faced jail because of something she said.
She’d retired in the ’70s and devoted her life to animal protection. But then her comments as a French citizen about the changes in her country from the massive immigration of Muslims entrapped her in the legal system.

It was the first I was aware of opposition to Muslim immigration and its effect on the native population, and the first I was aware of Bardot’s courage.

In 1997, she was convicted of “inciting racial hatred” because of letter to Le Figaro, in which she complained of “foreign overpopulation,” mostly by Muslims.

The following year, she was in court again and convicted. She had lamented the loss of French identity and tradition due to the “multiplication of mosques while our church bells fall silent for want of priests.”

She was charged three more times for her comments and/or writings: “I am fed up with being under the thumb of this population which is destroying us, destroying our country.”

In her book, she grieved, “My country, my homeland, my land is again invaded by an overpopulation of foreigners, especially Muslims.

Each time, she’s found guilty and the fines increase, as do the intended jail terms.

The lack of freedom of speech in France hasn’t stopped her.

Bardot is quoted from another book in 2004, “denouncing the Islamization of France” by people she described as “invaders.”

She wrote, “Over the last twenty years, we have given in to a subterranean, dangerous and uncontrolled infiltration, which not only resists adjusting to our laws and customs, but which will, as the years pass, attempt to impose its own.”

France may hate what she said, but she’s proving correct.

Despite her outspokenness, to my knowledge, Bardot has not been threatened with death, though she’s still pursued legally.

Then there’s Oriana Fallaci, my second hero.

I had known of her journalistic successes as a top-notch interviewer of important people on the world stage. I also knew of her work with the resistance in Italy during World War II.

And then there was Sept. 11.

She saw it all. In her rage over the horror of the attack on the United States, she wrote “The Rage and the Pride,” a scathing essay published on Sept. 29, 2001, in the Italian paper Corriere Della Sera. It was then released as a book.

I read it and also the follow to it, “The Force of Reason.”

They were scathing denunciations of Islam and its vendettas against the West and all non-Muslims. She wasted no sympathy on those who excused violence in the name of religion and warned that the end result would be the destruction of Western civilization.

Fallaci was sued in Switzerland, Italy and France by Muslim groups, angered by her words. She also was threatened with death under the Islamic fatwa.

Fallaci lived in New York and Florence and spent the last years of her life under 24-hour guard because of the threats.

She never did radio interviews, but I was determined and kept asking her to be on my program.

Then, one day, out of the blue, my phone rang and it was her – calling me to see if I was qualified to talk with her on my program!

I was almost speechless, but not really. We had a lengthy, stimulating and wonderful conversation. She was tough and to the point, essentially interviewing me.

Her main concern was to convince Americans that the goal of Islam is to take over our country, and they’d stop at nothing until they succeeded – unless we had the courage to stop them. She feared we were making the same mistakes Europe had.

She agreed to do my program, and I was elated. But first, she had to go to Italy. Then, her cancer worsened, and she died on Sept. 15, 2006.

We never did the program, but I treasure our conversation.

My third hero, the third woman, is Pamela Geller, an intelligent American Jew who’s been outspoken about the horrors of militant Islam and Shariah and the dangers they present to us and our freedom.

She is president of The American Freedom Defense initiative, a WND columnist and publishes a blog, Atlas Shrugs. In everything, Geller is never minces words and has been a guest on my program.

She’s currently the target of raw hate, not only from Muslims but also from much of the American media and many politicians.

She had the “audacity” to sponsor a “draw Muhammad” contest in Texas.

Islamists claim that any representation of the prophet requires death to the perpetrator. Not surprisingly, two terrorists showed up at the event, armed to the teeth, but before they could accomplish their bloody intent, a local policeman shot them dead.

The result is that now there’s a fatwa on Geller – with the goal to behead her.

So Pamela Geller will, as did Oriana Fallaci, spend the rest of her life with 24-hour protection.

So what’s the message?

We should have paid attention to these women – early on with Brigitte Bardot, who spoke about what she saw happening in France and Europe and objected.

Then, Oriana Fallaci, who did the same as she saw an Islamicized Europe and the beginnings in the U.S. and the horror of 9/11.

And now, Pamela Geller, warning us that the war is here and that at this point, we’re losing because of political correctness.

Ah yes, Islam is a religion of peace.

Tell me about it.

Those who ignore the lessons of history a doomed to repeat them. Sadly the islamisation of Europe is not historical, it is today’s reality. So glaring and present, it beggars belief that it goes unchallenged.

The lesson that we can learn from history is that of Charles Martell and also the Spanish Reconquistar, that is when we are allowed to fight back we can beat these savages, because of the Marxist ideal of political correctness our leaders wont let us fight back. Then like the Britain of the 1930s we have to find new leaders who are prepared to fight. Russia has Putin. Israel has Nethanyahu. Now the west has to find someone with some guts.

I wonder if those that defended freedom in WWII were treated with as much disdain from their own people as Ms Geller has been. When I see so many Americans attack her (I expect it from the ‘savages she is exposing) I realize how far the division in the US has escalated with no end in sight. It’s easy to make her a target when you don’t want to face your own blindness about our freedom being eroded. Regardless, you might not know it yet but she is a brave respectful hero for those that still believe in freedom.

The political Left has elevated treason above patriotism. The Left are importing and protecting Islamism, as a way to destroy traditional cultures and bring about their Revolution.

It is because of the Left that it is difficult to talk about Islam, or to even defend the West on moral grounds.

Yes his insults to the UK don’t stop there. Just google “Obama insults UK” for articles / Glenn Beck video. Its a deliberate sabotage of traditional allies. He is trying to destabilise the entire world.

As for Churchill – it was such a crass and deliberate insult the media could not ignore it. But they spun it into a Churchill / Africa thing. See how they got to insult Churchill and justify the insult?

The real reason is that Churchill knew the truth about liberty and tyranny. He was ahead of his time in warning about Nazism, socialism and Islam.

Its his writings on ISLAM that caused Obama to remove the bust. Obama is clearly a Muslim https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tKMiRxnRN4 – the evidence is piling up and is impossible to ignore. I think there will be a major scandal before his term is up.

Here is what Churchill said about Islam:

“How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia {rabies} in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die: but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.”

Winston Churchill made repeated warnings in newspaper interviews and parliament throughout the 30s. He was largely ignored and became discredited and marginalised, even to the point his local constituency party tried to oust him from his seat. He warned of the rearmament plans of the Nazis and he warned of an ideology that was already clear from Mein Kampf.

He was labelled as a ‘scaremonger’, and even the German press called him a ‘Germanophobe’. This term, designed to discredit and silence, cleverly conflating ‘Germans’ with ‘Nazis’. The same trick is being played today, with the Mo-Bro-Hood term ‘Islamophobia’ (conflating Islam as a doctrine and ‘Muslims’ as a ‘people’ or ‘race’).

Even when it was clear he was right all along, the establishment had to be forced into accepting him into the Cabinet as Minister of Defence, and again it was popular support that lead to him being Prime Minister. This was resisted all the way.

The lesson is that history always repeats itself. If change is going to happen, it must be because the masses become educated and force the elites to make the necessary changes. I fear only a major incident or series of events, or war, or unity of nations to become a genuine Caliphate, will force people to wake up out of this PC-induced stupor.

The problem (one of many) with today’s politicians is that they are thinking in terms of 4-5 year terms, they are careerists, many are after power and money. They are easily corrupted and not willing to make the risks or personal sacrifices required for truth and freedom. Its a job, not a CALLING. There are next to know politicians of real principle in any country.

I see Pamela Geller in the same mold as Churchill. How she can be denigrated when even a complete moron can see she has sacrificed her life, her liberty, to spread her message. Living under death threats, maligned by the media daily. But she is exactly the sort of person who we would need to call on when the tide turns.

Voltaire said: “To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticise.” Its clear Muslims are in charge via a vast conspiracy, right up to Obama.

That unwillingness to reason, being usurped by political correctness in academia, media, and the political sellouts in govt. , was revealed clearly soon after, 7 years after 9-11 exposed radical izlams goals of destroying any oppisition to tyranny. Those blinded to the fake religion’s agenda, also are atheists, or political marxists, which resent MORAL authority, but welcome religious tyranny. They are already under the tyranny of socialist propaganda and it’s greedy agenda, so another tyranny that wars against those that want to preserve freedom, which they do not understand, is moot to them. 7 years after 9-11 they vote in a stealth muzlim to the largest Judeo-Christian nation on earth.
Our enemies will always try to subvert, destroy us, but we need to be rid of mush in governance, so they will impeach when necessary.

Islam is a caste system, and not just with respect to women or unbelievers. mohammed favored merchants but despised farmers. In fact the poor muslims are pretty much forbidden from reproducing and are sent to war, whereas the upper caste has multiple women in a eugenecist program. This is such a racist cult and ignominous aberation in our culture. What is incredible is those muslims of lower caste submit themselves like this to these arrogant ignoramuses called Sheiks or what not. Islam has a eugenic program and is probably why Hiter liked Islam over Chritianity, let alone judaism.

Let this sink in your minds a bit: our leaders do not appeal to free the lower castes, they trade with the upper one at the helm and enrich them even more, encouraging that eugenic program. Then you got Agenda21, Global Warming, arrogant welfare redistribution plantation mentality, illegals….

Well, I know what you mean, even though I would have a hard time characterizing it as a eugenics program, considering the vast number of mentally and physically defective offspring they produce from all their cousin-cousin marriages, and the generally low intellectual level of Muslim life.

I would call it a “get your rocks off and outbreed your kuffar enemies, if you are a powerful Muslim male” program.

It’s simple. It’ll be a good thing when the (already somewhat neutered) ‘mainstream’ press is rendered toothless and irrelevent due to the ubiquity of online news content. FEAR of Islam is the ONLY thing our self serving press (and our leaders too), with their postcodes at work and at home, consider. They know that and we know it. They will never provide leadership in our battle against Islamofascism or defend heroines like Pamela for that reason.
Charlie Hebdo et al merely confirms for them that they were right not to speak out. They can’t grow a pair. It’s that sad and it’s that simple. We alone, the masses, must fight the battle, take the establishment to task when we can, and win despite them.

No. I would say, as committed Leftists, they also think of their longterm tactical alliance with the forces of Islam.

And the ones who bleat out the news on American television mostly just think about their hair and makeup and following the orders of their superiors.

The masses need a new political party. Look at what Cameron is doing in the UK, paying lip service to a referendum on leaving the EU (and with it immigration “asylum” issues) and then threatening his cabinet that any support for such a referendum would result in their firing. All these clueless, dhimmi leaders should be sent on a one year sabbatical to ISIS land so they can live among the savages they wish to impose on us.

Santiago Matamoros

She [Bardot] had lamented the loss of French identity and tradition due to the “multiplication of mosques while our church bells fall silent for want of priests.”

And the same is happening here.

John Quincy Adams understood the threat, as did his father and his partner-in-crime, Thomas Jefferson, who found out firsthand from the ambassador of Libya why the Muslim Barbary States were warring against America long before George W. Bush was even a twinkle in a liberal propagandist’s eye.

It was jihad, a fact reported to the Congress.

“And he [Jesus] declared, that the enjoyment of felicity in the world hereafter, would be reward of the practice of benevolence here. His whole law was resolvable into the precept of love; peace on earth – good will toward man, was the early object of his mission; and the authoritative demonstration of the immortality of man, was that, which constituted the more than earthly tribute of glory to God in the highest […] The first conquest of the religion of Jesus, was over the unsocial passions of his disciples. It elevated the standard of the human character in the scale of existence. […] On the Christian system of morals, man is an immortal spirit, confined for a short space of time, in an earthly tabernacle. Kindness to his fellow mortals embraces the whole compass of his duties upon earth, and the whole promise of happiness to his spirit hereafter. THE ESSENCE OF THIS DOCTRINE IS, TO EXALT THE SPIRITUAL OVER THE BRUTAL PART OF HIS NATURE.

[…]

“In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar [i.e., Muhammad], the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE

[…]

“Between these two religions, thus contrasted in their characters, a war of twelve hundred years has already raged. The war is yet flagrant. […] While the merciless and dissolute dogmas of the false prophet shall furnish motives to human action, there can never be peace upon earth, and good will towards men.”

John Quincy Adams, Blunt, Joseph (1830),The American Annual Register for the Years 1827-8-9, pp. 268-269

“Europe becomes more and more a province of Islam, a colony of Islam. And Italy is an outpost of that province, a stronghold of that colony…..In each of our cities lies a second city: a Muslim city. A city run by the Quran. A stage in the Islamic expansion.”

Je suis Pamela Geller.
I thank Pamela for her bravery, and yes, just as our framers did. Our Declaration of Independence says, when a people is subjected to a long train of abuses aiming at absolute despotism, “it is their right, it is their duty,” to change the government. This duty is higher than one’s own personal survival or selfish interest. It may in fact require the sacrifice of one’s own life. That is why the Declaration concludes with these noble words: “We pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”
Pamela, this is what you’ve done, as has Robert Spencer, Andrew McCarthy, and other brave souls, who are trying to wake up ‘sleeping’ Americans.
Perhaps those in the UK, and the EU, should read our Declaration of Independence, and our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Our framers KNEW that large, distant and unresponsive gov’t, EQUALS TYRANNY. We in the US are currently working against the stealth efforts of Communists/Socialists/Progressives (neo-communists)/fascists/Islamists and globalist traitors, who imbedded themselves in our unions, education and gov’t.
Freedom isn’t free, and can be lost in one generation, as we’re seeing now, in the culmination of the Progressives ~100 yr. battle, to destroy our nation. I’m NOT using hyperbole. We weren’t founded as a Socialist state. Now the Marxists are in collusion with Islamists, all covered by the corrupt mainstream media. But just wait, Marxists, till your frenemies, the Islamists come after you, too.

Having read many of the commentaries to this article, I am impressed with the concern outlined by so many. I also commend Barbara Simpson for her lead article. This news lady, of conservative bent, is saying it as it is, and I admire her as well. Personally, I refer to Pamela as the Jewish Joan of Ark, though she is speaking for all of us Muslim non-believers. Yet, when I read these commentators, and I consider the actual circumstances that exist here and throughout the world, I, as well as all these referred to hero ladies, must come to the same conclusion. Islam, as taught and practiced, as we have seen elsewhere, especially in Europe, cannot exist within countries who operate under a concept of civil law and free elections. I have used the term ASSIMILATION OR THE INASILITY TO ASSIMILATE to describe what I believe is such a shortcoming within Islam, that I am very proud of those who see things similarly. As I have said on many occasions, immigrants who came to this country and brought their own culture, all seem to have accepted what being an American was all about. They adapted, accepting mutual tolerance and generally good neighborly living, rejecting any part of their culture that would result in conduct that was abhorrent to the American way. Although we have had some bumps in the road, They ASSIMILATED! Muslim’s, by virtue of their medieval belief system cannot accept what America is, an open society of many cultures working together in a spirit of Americanism. That fatal flaw precludes them from ever accepting their citizenship as we, the non-believers of Islam have. When will we take the steps necessary to protect this great nation? Why are we leaving this real and actionable horror to future generations? Should we offer the Muslim community the right to return to their cultures where they can practice their belief system without concerning us? I believe that may be the only avenue open to us, and it needs to be considered now. Sad!

Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Nonie Darwish, Brigitte Gabriel, Pamela Geller and many less famous women and men are the heroes of our time who risk their lives fighting tyranny. Our respect and gratitude to all of them.

How wonderful to see Pamela Geller get some well-deserved praise for her fearless efforts, especially from a fantastic broadcaster like Barbara Simpson. I ‘stumbled’ upon Ms. Geller, and her colleague Robert Spencer about five months ago, and I’ve been addicted ever since. Until then, I didn’t know there were people speaking out about the dangers we can all plainly see. Corny but true: the first video I watched of Ms. Geller describing the importance of the First Amendment quite literally had me in tears (“not the 2nd, not the 8th, not the 12th….the FIRST!!!”) So, because of these two people, I try to help spread truth in my own small way. Ms. Geller has more fans than she suspects; my 87 year old Dad thinks she is tops!!

So many Americans (liberals mostly) have their heads in the sand (or maybe up where the sun never shines) to see the treat the world is facing with Islam.

Good idea. 🙂 Freedom of speech means Islam is not immune to criticism.

Lack of criticism of Islam=Sharia law enforcement by death.

Re “Ah yes, Islam is a religion of peace.”; Islam is not a religion! islam Is a political system wrapped around a pedophile’s plagiarized materials from several sources and from imagination during drunken stupor. Goals of the islamofascist movement, which encompasses all mullahs, al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood, and many others, is to promote a political ideology that seeks to subjugate all the world’s peoples, by physical force, under the supreme governing authority of islamofascist law, in every area of life and thought. The islamofascist goal is to enforce submission in body and mind—on pain of death. When considering taqiyya and kitman, one realizes that there is only one outcome between islam and infidels and that is a fight to death.

Every
day while visiting several blogs, it is obama here, obama there. Well
Folks, FYI, the retarded puppet is not the real problem. Every
time I hear someone talk about that retarded puppet, it seems to me
that no one really knows why or how the retarded puppet got into the
Whitehouse. A huge national/international machine pushed their
retarded puppet into the Whitehouse. The retarded puppet is just one of the many tools of this huge machine that has been working for decades to destroy our American way of life and create their version of a one world government. Unfortunately the average American does not realize that we are saturated with the tools of this huge machine; The Socialist-communist-marxist, and now the islamofascist-racist. Add to those tools, the average American voter who is economically and politically ignorant. Add to that, the 2 or 3 generations of our kids who have been dumbed down by public education to the point that they can not make intelligent decisions. Add to that, a gutless Congress and the multitude of fools who voted for and continue to vote for them. Add to that…. AAAAh, there is
not enough room on this blog “to add to that”.
