The U.S. embassy personnel can enjoy first-run movies right until the Islamic State blades start slicing their necks. The Obama administration here reveals its priorities; do they want to make sure that embassy personnel will be too distracted to start pestering the State Department with requests for help when the jihadis come, as they did to no avail in Benghazi?

Story continues below advertisementWhile President Obama admits there is “no complete strategy” in the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq, U.S. embassies there will have access to a complete package of movie channels.
The State Department issued a solicitation on Thursday to purchase satellite television subscriptions for all its embassies in the embattled country, including the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.
“The purpose of this firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is to obtain High Definition (HD) satellite television channel packages to be received at the U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Iraq that includes the U.S. Embassy Baghdad, the U.S. Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC), the U.S. Consulate General Basrah, and the U.S. Consulate General Erbil,” the solicitation said.
The State Department is looking for a contractor to provide 30 English satellite channels, the majority of which are movie channels distributed by OSN, a television provider in the Middle East.
A channel list provided in the contract’s statement of work includes: OSN Movies, OSN Movies 2, OSN Movies Premiere, OSN Movies Premiere 2, OSN Movies Action, OSN Movies Festival, OSN Movies Comedy, OSN Movies Drama, OSN First Comedy, Turner Classic Movies, MGM, Sundance, and Star.
OSN Movies recently showed Guardians of the Galaxy, Judge Dredd—a 1995 Sylvester Stallone sci-fi flick—and Shaft.
U.S. embassies in Iraq will also have access to E! Entertainment, the Food Network, TLC, VH-1, OSN Sports, Discovery channel, several Nat Geo channels, the History channel, and Animal Planet.
The only news channels listed are CNBC Europe and Fox News.
President Obama said Monday at the G-7 conference in Germany that there is not a complete strategy to fight the Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS or ISIL) in Iraq.
“We don’t yet have a complete strategy because it requires commitments on the part of the Iraqis as well about how recruitment takes place, how that training takes place,” he said. “So the details of that are not yet worked out.”
His remarks came 10 months after the administration said it did not have a strategy last August, after the beheadings of U.S. journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff.
Since his comments Monday, Obama has ordered an additional 450 U.S. troops to Iraq that will not engage in combat or near the front lines, and has signaled that he is open to adding outposts for training of Iraqi troops. However, White House officials anticipate there will be “no decision in the next few weeks.”
The State Department did not return request for comment prior to publication of this story.

Maybe the money would be better spent for a communication system so when they need help they can contact everyone who might be able to do something. Excluding ob or clinton of course, that would be a waste of time. They, ob or clinton, would be scrambling to find a movie book anything to blame an attack on.

There is a strategy. The strategy is to do nothing whatsoever about
what’s going on in Iraq and Syria and to work closely with suit and
tie jihadis in the West to close down free speech and implement
Sharia blasphemy laws.
Meanwhile, there is something that many good decent and kind hearted
people CAN do help, though our politicians don’t want to. There’s a

Presently the biggest threat to the USA is the wackos running things. They have a plan and the plan is to destroy the country and make you subservient, (A slave) third world kind.

law dividing the countries they immigrate into.
Their intent to the host country is for the host country to support
them. They do not assimilate into the countries they migrate into but settle
separately often taking up to four wives. They procreate like rabbits letting
the welfare systems take care of them. When they become strong enough
demographically they infiltrate the political system and demand the countries
adopt their life style and laws. Always the intent has been to divide and
conquer.
THIS stinks to hi heaven, AND I SAY ENOUGH. PAST TIME TO
CLEAN HOUSE AND WE NEED TO START WITH THE WHITE HOUSE AND WORK DOWN.
A muslim president and government are not acceptable or
compatible in a Constitutional republic or democratic society. Muslim will not
accept Constitutional law, as muslims they considering themselves
to be above it.

therefore you are to be subjugated as a slave or killed. (YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS
UNLESS YOU CONVERT TO ISLAM).
I am a Christian and if this government thinks I will set
quietly by and let them destroy my country and eventually destroy my family and

They’re (younger generation) are too busy and risk losing their jobs. They aren’t going to do it. Not going to happen unless their parents take action first. It’s up to the retired pensioners who have the time to organize and demonstrate. They also don’t have jobs to lose because of political incorrectness. Plus they represent a huge demographic (baby boomers). Baby boomers have a huge opportunity to effect change. They had no problem demonstrating in the ’60’s. They also have as a group very close relationships (almost peer friendships) with their children who are likely to take up the cause if they see their parents commitment.
It’s up to today’s retired baby boomers to pick up the torch against terrorism and muslim infiltration.

The baby boomers were the last generation educated outside the socialist reeducation institutions the public schools have become. Competition, striving for excellence, self-sufficiency, and freedom are foreign to those GenXers and Millenials educated by Angela Davis types. They are mostly entitled victims angling to get ahead based on whatever “protected class” in which they can claim membership (certainly not all, but a significant majority).
Even if we organized, fought the islamists and won, these younger generations would lose it all within 20 years. Our only hope is to eliminate the public school system and reinstate the draft, cut off welfare for able bodied adults, and instill American values in the children of the Millenials, else it would all be for naught.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. However, someone has to get the movement started and then address the pathetic state of our culture. My concern is that we need to get the movement started now. Time is not on our side. Bridgette Gabriel is doing a wonderful job of organizing resistance groups in each major city but we need this to happen in smaller divisions and neighbourhoods almost like a “neighbourhood watch” program. Small numbers of members make it more manageable but many groups needed to lobby school divisions, community center activities, municipal governments and even smaller units so infiltration is identified in even the smallest ways and dealt with (resisted) promptly.

Obama stated he has ‘No complete strategy in Iraq to fight ISIS’. An astonishing statement from the man who is supposed to be the leader of the Free World. Obama is in over his head and doesn’t have a clue how to fight a war and win it.
The ethical thing to do is step down from the presidency and allow a highly competent leader to take over. And re-hire all of the huge numbers of patriotic top military that Obama got rid of. They know exactly how to fight and how to win the war. Obama and his regime do not. Since Obama took office, the world has become a far more frightening, dangerous place.
