Exclusive: Pamela Geller warns, ‘We cannot submit to the assassin’s veto’
Following the cowardly policy change for the New York MTA, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, or WMATA, has now suspended all issue-oriented ads through the end of year after we submitted our free-speech ad.Because freedom of speech is under violent assault, my human-rights advocacy group, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, or AFDI, had announced a new ad campaign to defend freedom of speech and stand up to violent intimidation, kicking off in the nation’s capital.
Story continues below advertisementBecause the media and the cultural and political elites continue to self-enforce the Shariah without the consent of the American people by refusing to show any depictions of Muhammad or showing what it was in Texas that had jihadists opening fire, we had intended to run an ad featuring the winning cartoon by former Muslim Bosch Fawstin from our Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest in Garland, Texas.
We wanted to allow the American people to see what the cowardly press is censoring in accordance with the blasphemy laws under the Shariah (Islamic law).
We submitted the ad campaign to WMATA to run on buses and train dioramas in the Foggy Bottom, Capitol South, Bethesda, L’Enfant Plaza and Shady Grove stations.
But instead of doing what was necessary to protect the public and defending the freedom of speech, WMATA changed its rules, submitting to the assassin’s veto and sending the signal that violent intimidation works.
Oh, the irony.
This is an end run around the First Amendment. This is clearly a 21st-century tactic being used to impose Islamic law, and we cannot submit. The latest development is the media, the cultural and political elites, continue to self-enforce the Shariah without the consent of the American people. They’re doing so by refusing to show any depictions of Muhammad or showing how innocuous the cartoon was in Texas that jihadists opened fire over, trying to slaughter all of us.
These cowards may claim that they are making people safer, but I submit to you the opposite. They are making it far more dangerous for Americans everywhere. Rewarding terror with submission is defeat. Absolute and complete defeat.
More demands, more violence will certainly follow. The message is that terror works.
This is Shariah in America.
The only upside is the anti-Semitic groups will not be able to run their blood libels.
Drawing Muhammad is not illegal under American law, but only under Islamic law. Violence that arises over the cartoons is solely the responsibility of the Islamic jihadists who perpetrate it. Either America will stand now against attempts to suppress the freedom of speech by violence, or will submit and give the violent the signal that we can be silenced by threats and murder.
WMATA has already done so, but as a society we cannot submit to the assassin’s veto.
It was the jihadis, not I, who made the cartoons a flashpoint. If we surrender on that point and stop drawing Muhammad, we’ve established a precedent of surrendering to violent Shariah enforcement, and once established, we will be made to reinforce it again and again. Shariah is a unique threat to free speech and liberty.
Freedom of speech is the foundation of a free society. Without it, a tyrant can wreak havoc unopposed, while his opponents are silenced.
Putting up with being offended is essential in a pluralistic society in which people differ on basic truths. If a group will not bear being offended without resorting to violence, that group will rule unopposed while everyone else lives in fear and while other groups curtail their activities to appease the violent group. This results in the violent group being able to tyrannize the others.
There is nothing about this cartoon that incites violence. It is within the established American tradition of satire. AFDI Vice President Robert Spencer stated: “Many people on both the left and the right are saying that we should do nothing to provoke Islamic fundamentalism. The immediate answer would seem to be that we should do nothing to provoke violent jihadis, that the prudent thing to do would be to avoid doing things that anger them. But if we did that, they would not they stop coming at us. Last September, an Islamic State spokesman boasted: ‘We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah, the Exalted. This is His promise to us; He is glorified and He does not fail in His promise. If we do not reach that time, then our children and grandchildren will reach it, and they will sell your sons as slaves at the slave market.’”
Spencer continued, “In light of that, what is the point of asking whether or not we should provoke them? They’re already provoked. A more useful question now is whether it is really productive and helpful to signal to them that we will acquiesce to their threats of violence and change our behavior accordingly, or whether we will instead signal to them that their violent threats are not going to frighten us into submission.”
If America surrenders on this point, the freedom of speech is a relic of history.

Exactly Pamela, things are hyper critical. One of the things that will go will be the internet. They don’t want something they can’t control. We just keep packing them in and sooner or later there is going to be a Civil War. One of the things that bothered me was their acquiring gang affiliation members to help them disrupt with the riot in Baltimore. You can’t tell me that the Police beat that Drug dealer and killed him while in custody. And it took six Police? Give me a break. I’d believe he was put up to it to make it look like that’s what happened. The picture I attached is of the people who were no doubt behind the Riot. Notice the pink bow ties in the crowd, any of them look like CAIR Reps, or possibly MOA? But the thing that I noticed is that the Mayor let the city burn telling the police and National Guard to STAND DOWN. And six Police were almost immediately indicted for anything from aggravated assault to Murder with enhancements. So that tells me that not only can’t you rely on your Police, National Guard, City and State Officials, you can’t rely on the Army either, because who’s the “Commander And Chief”, what’s he going to say? “STAND DOWN”!!! So they’re fueling an uprising of Black America and generating hate…just like what they did in Medina. Gathering allies from Prisons, Jails, any group that is easily influenced and wants to rob, murder, and enslave, and destroy. I think this summer is going to be very busy with rioting. They’ll find excuses to riot. They’ll push everything to the max…that’s the way Islam is. Mr. Obama has initiated a measure to control food, supplies,medicine,ammunition…control, according to what I read. The next step after chaos is for the President to institute Martial Law, which according to what I read is really a Congressional jurisdiction but the Constitution is a little nebulous on that point. This President is liable to make an Executive order that can only be challenged by Congress and reviewed by the Supreme Court. Your government is just as determined to wipe out western culture exactly the same as my (British) and European governments. That is why they are importing people who hate us and then changing our laws to give added protection to those people over and above what the average citizen gets. All in the name of racial and multicultural harmony of course.

Pity she didn’t win but still I am now trying to get an appointment to see my new MP.

Just a quick note to let you know that you are not alone in the UK. I’m blessed with an MP who does understand these issues but who – by his own admission – is facing an uphill fight with the prejudiced and the ostriches. But nil desperandum. We will win.
I’m prepared to accept that there are a lot of peaceful Muslims in the UK whose reputation is being tarnished by the behaviour of ‘extremists’. What I don’t understand is why they fail to speak out against those who are bringing their religion into disrepute.

Thank you for your vote of confidence I have made a list of links that I email to anyone that I can get interested and the first ones on that list are the 2 that I have referenced above. Family friends and customers although I must be careful don’t really want to ruin my own business I still need the money.
It is really frustrating what I find when talking to people. During the election I spoke to a canvasser for the Green party and he was a priest who declared that Islam is a religion of peace unfortunately I didn’t get his email or I would have sent him the links as well. Still can’t win them all as long as we win most because that is what we need to do.

If you go to Google and watch CNN’s cowardly Chris Cuomo’s interview of Pamela Geller, you will see the same mentality manifested.
For Geert Wilders’ criticism of Islam this ignorant, politically correct fool, Cuomo, describes Wilders as a “documented” Islamophobe. (Gee, I wonder who did the documenting?) The racist accusation is rich. If you do email him the Muslim manifesto for the UK I believe it will work better if you also email the 1990 Cairo declaration which is the Islamic Charter of Human Rights.
Ask him to read both and then to decide what he thinks taking into account articles 24 and 25 of the 1990 Cairo Declaration. Both of those articles make it clear that Sharia is the only point of reference for all the rights given in the charter.

This is no surprise to those who understand the simple truth that what you ask for others, you will also receive. When the US forced Israel to stand down to Arab pressures for land (ex; Gaza), it was only a matter of time before the US received their payback- Muslims coming to the US to demand towns, land/or Sharia. When Americans turned blind eyes to the problems Muslims cause Israeli Jews, the stage was set for Muslims to bring the same scenario to the US. Believe in karma or Genesis’ warning that those who curse Israel will also be cursed. Sharia law imposed on the US? Sorry, but citizens needed to stand up for the rights of Jews to push back the Muslims. Israel was told by the US to stand down. I will once again recommend using the Freedom of Speech promotion theme BUT in conjunction with specifically protesting specific crimes against humanity by Islam. In this way, more people will understand the reason for the protests and the need for standing up to Sharia. Islam is doing FAR WORSE than simply giving death sentences for drawing cartoons and the world must NOT be allowed to think of Islam as the victim of freedom fighters wanting to stick their thumb in the eye of Islam.

If the bus company won’t run your ads and claim they will no longer run political Ads, what about the City’s leading Newspapers. They buried a pig on the site, and made sure this would be known by the local press. The Islamic rules forbid the erecting of a Mosque on “pig soiled ground.” The Muslims had to cancel the project.
