Pakistan: Muslims tell Christian, “stop building churches or we will kill you”

Non-Muslims Pakistan

This case is an exact parallel of our cartoon event. People say we shouldn’t have offended Muslims, and that we provoked them. In Pakistan, Christians building churches offends Muslims, and they are threatening to kill over it. So Bill O’Reilly and Laura Ingraham and Greta van Susteren and the rest would say that the Pakistani Christians shouldn’t build churches, right? Must not offend them!

“Pakistan: Muslims tell Christian, ‘stop building churches or we will kill you,’” by Robert Spencer, Jihad Watch, May 11, 2015:

Javed DavidWhat, then, should Javed David do in the face of this violent intimidation? He should stop building churches, right? Because if he continues to build churches, he will offend Muslims, and be needlessly provocative. Right? That is what the mainstream media has been telling us in the wake of our Muhammad cartoon contest: it offended Muslims and was needlessly provocative, even inciting the Muslim killers who came to it in order to commit mass murder.

So if Javed David builds another church, he will be inciting the Muslims to violence, and he will be responsible for what he gets, right? He’s asking for it, right? After all, he knows it offends them. He knows they will kill over it. So if he builds another church, he’d just be poking them in the eye, right?

People who dislike our event because it focused on the Muhammad cartoons are missing the point: if free people don’t push back on the points where they are being threatened and menaced, they are only inviting more threats and menace. If we give on the Motoons and stop drawing them, we will have established the precedent that adopting Sharia and giving in to violence is right and proper. That will lead to what Javed David is facing. Will those Christians who are criticizing us for insulting Muhammad and Islam wake up to what is really going on when they are in his position, and are threatened with death for the crime of building a new church?

“Pakistani Christian leader receives threats, told to ‘stop building churches or we will kill you,’” by Shafique Khokhar, AsiaNews, May 11, 2015 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Lahore (AsiaNews) – For the past three months, Javed David, a Christian leader in Lahore, has been receiving death threats from a group of unidentified people because of his involvement in the construction of several churches in the area.

Three of his associates – John Akram, Ata-ur-Rehman and Saman Joy Alexander – have also been threatened. David is president of a Christian association, ‘Hope for the Light Ministries’.

The latest incident occurred on 4 April, the day before Easter, but the Christian leader spoke to AsiaNews about only today.

“I had been to church in Sheikhupura to attend a meeting with colleagues,” he said. “It was 8 o’clock in the evening when we left to return to Lahore. We were about to reach the main road when a motorbike drove up and blocked the way. Maybe they were following us. The two bikers were wearing a helmet. One of them came up to my window and spoke to me. ‘We know what you are doing here,’ he said. ‘Stop building churches. Convert to Islam, which is the true religion. Otherwise we will make a horrible example of you.”

A similar incident occurred on 22 February, after he visited another church under construction. “On that occasion too, I was going home,” he noted, “when a motorcycle stopped in front of me. The driver knocked on the window and threw in a piece of paper. I did not open it before I got home. It said, ‘This is an Islamic nation. We cannot allow church building. Either you convert to Islam or you leave this country! Stop building churches or you’ll pay the consequences!”

Since 2013, David and his associates have helped poor communities build churches. The first one was erected in a village in Shekhupura district. In 2014, they built a second one in Jaranwala district, near Faisalabad. This year, another one is being built, also in Jaranwala district.

“Right now we were shocked and frightened,” Ata-ur-Rehman Saman said. “Previously, when we bought land to build the church in Sheikhupura, we met resistance from some members of the local Muslim community, but then it all worked out. The head of the local madrassa laid the first brick. Both communities live in peace there, although we have seen rising religious intolerance.”

“My family and I are scared and worried because I continue to receive threats,” Javed David said. “Where can we go to enjoy religious freedom? This is our country; we have lived here for generations.”

“After the tragedy in Youhanabad, circumstances have changed and now there is more fear,” he added. “Still, I dedicated my life to Christ and I shall continue to serve His people, no matter what happens.”

Having read this commentary and the following two, and though I recognize that my comments here are essentially “preaching to the choir,” I must say what I believe needs to be said. Personally, what I really think that AFDI accomplished with it’s draw contest convention is the exposure, not of the issue of protecting free speech, but of the fact that Islam has declared WAR on the free world. While I certainly can appreciate Geller’s and Spencer’s and their colleagues protesting the media’s apparent cowardice and the misinformation that they spew, as my mother used to say: “in one ear and out the other.” Our efforts now need to be focused on the fact that the Muslim world’s, (whether you refer to them as fundamental believers or extremists), bottom line is that they cannot tolerate the non-Muslim free world, and given their way “off with ‘our’ heads.” As I watch the broadcasts since the Garland event, I note that many are commenting for the first time that we must cut off the head of the snake at its present location, and many are finally saying that we, and the free world and those Arab nations that recognize the same dangers that we face, have to destroy the beast at it’s home in the present Middle East. By doing so those same commentators now seem to believe that the ability of the Extremists to motivate the so called lone wolves or domestic cells would be drastically disabled. Let us hope that our present leaders will come to the same conclusion, and cut their heads off before they can cut ours.

What’s really offensive to Muslims are Jews. You should stop being Jewish, Pamela, lest Bill O’Reilly call you out for needlessly provoking Muslims.

    • phil a. styne

Yeah! That Martin Luther King and his gang had it coming when they provoked the Democrats of Selma with their provocative march!

      • Betty4440

has any one ever figured out why so many blacks are democrats? when the democrats are the very ones that has caused so much trouble for the blacks. I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND IT.

    • Mr Paul Middleton

Yes. For a Muslim the Western axiom “treat others as you would treat yourself” (based of course on “love your neighbour as yourself: I am the Lord”), to Muslims means that only that they treat other Muslims like themselves, and everyone else must either convert, be reduced to second-class status, or be killed. It begs the question “Why are Western liberals, who want to live in an amoral world, cursing Israel for committing fictitious war crimes – inferring support for Islam, the very ideology that would destroy homosexuals, anarchists, socialists and the millions of Christians who are endorsing Islam?
Is it a global suicidal movement, or what?

So true. All Americans men, women, blacks, whites, Hispanics, Asians, straight, gay, Christian, Jewish, Dem, GOP, Libertarians and others must come to together to preserve our freedoms. The enemy is not the police or the poor and homeless, it is islamofascism and its sorry enablers in our elites.

        Well said.

Was just reading another story about a Kentucky family living “off the grid” who were arrested and their 10 children taken from them. The police arrested the father on a charge of “menacing.”

The police, however, seem reluctant to address the copious authentic examples of Muslim menacing of Christians in our country, due to Obama’s single minded protection of them. What happened to the heroes of WWII who fought so valiantly for freedom?

    • Betty4440

      WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN.

      • pete1589

Just Google “Kentucky family arrested” and you can get up to the minute of this unfolding drama. God bless.

I wonder if the progressives will also agree with Muslims when they start telling us that we are offending them by breathing.

    • The_Infidel_01

Yes, of course they will. Why do you think they push abortion of non muslims so hard?

No doubt these things happen in Pakistan and they’re carried about by ignorant people, very much like the ignorant people on this page. Pakistan’s constitution protects people’s religious freedoms, although the blasphemy laws in favour of Islam are unfair. It’s ridiculous to blame Islam for the actions of a few ignorant people who are breaking the nation’s laws. But having said that, the people on this page can’t be blamed for their ignorance. We have this rabid ultra right wing Zionist, constantly printing shit on this blog and white far right morons swallowing Pam’s shit and regurgitating it as fact.

Let me explain something before you start beating me with antisemitic stick. In the previous paragraph, I said “Zionist”, not “Jew”. Judaism is a religion and Zionism is a political movement. There are millions of Jews who are anti Zionist. In the case of Pam Geller and those behind her, they are ultra right wing Zionists, a lot like the Kahanists who set up the EDL in England. Calling me “antisemitic” for criticizing Zionism would be as stupid as calling someone an anti white racist for criticizing the KKK. Pam Geller, I would guess is also a Kahanist, because of her involvement with Tommy Robinson. For those who don’t know, these are followers of Rabbi Meir Kahane, who set up the JDL (Jewish Defence League) in 1968 and later, Kach Kahane Chai. Kach was kicked out of the Israeli parliament for being too racist. Rabbi Kahane had been to prison for shootings and bombings and trade unions and was shot dead in 1990. Rabbi Shiffren, who used to speak at EDL demos was Rabbi Kahane’s friend and driver. The JDL and Kach are listed as terrorist organizations by the US, EU, Canada and Israel. So, for people like Pam Geller to go on about Islamic terrorism is pure hypocrisy, because they are themselves terrorist sympathizers and even members of a terrorist organization.

Apart from the ultra right wing beliefs of these racist extremists, there’s the huge funding involved from people like Nina and Elizabeth Rosenwald, who have pumped about $2.8 million into people like Pam Geller to fan the flames of Islamophobia and to make right wing simpletons believe Islam is going to take over. It’s with funding from rich ultra right wing Zionists like the Rosenwald’s that hate mongers like Pam Geller are able to make a living out of writing shit and it’s with the same funding that others produce anti Islamic videos, which right wing simpletons believe because it reinforces their own prejudices. All this is done to vilify the enemies of Israel, those who dare speak out against the crimes of Israel, be they Muslims or left wingers.

The allegiance to and the prioritizing of Israel’s genocidal agenda, make the likes of Pam Geller comical, because they pretend they’re concerned about America and the freedoms of Americans, when in fact, they’re only concerned about the political agenda of a foreign power. Serving the political agenda of a foreign power makes the likes of Pam Geller a traitor, not a patriot.

Now she’s barking and growling like a rabid dog because even the right wing media have figured out what her game is and that she’s a mad rabid bitch. I’m all for free speech, but the line has to be drawn at hate speech. What Pam does is hate speech with the deliberate intent of inciting violence from Muslims. The whole purpose of her cartoon drawing competition was to provoke and anger Muslims and to get them to react. It would not surprise me if those Muslim idiots who reacted to Pam’s incitement and then ended up getting shot, were in fact coerced into reacting by colleagues of Pam Geller, posing as Muslims. It’s very possible, after all, look what happened with the USS Cole, a US war ship that was bombed by Israel in an attempt to get the US to attack Egypt. These are the kind lengths these psychopaths go to.

What really made me laugh about this shit written by mad Pammy Geller is that because she’s been rumbled by mainstream media as a trouble maker, in typical right wing fashion of inciting violence and then crying like babies when it backfires, she’s comparing herself to Christians being persecuted in Pakistan. What Pam should be doing is comparing herself to the ignorant hate filled Muslims who are persecuting the Christians.

    Hi,
I would like to say that there is no comparison for the cartoon event and starting churches PERIOD!!!!!!! I personally think and this is my opinion and I did fight to protect the right to hold the cartoon event and there right to free speech. I think its in bad taste because its purpose is to make fun of at least and to incite at worst.
Personally if it were me putting on the event I would have had my own snipers on the roof ready, I also would not have held that event, but if you know something may happen and do not plan, then your a complete idiot!!!!!!!
Starting a new church can be seen in the same light by others and it is to each person to decide what we stand for and if we would die for that right and choice. It’s easy to setup an event and wait for something to happen.
Start a church in a hostile area surrounded by people who seek your conversion at least, and your life most likely? That’s courageous and is an action to try and help and save people, weather you agree or not. Putting on an event to make fun of, put down or provoke violence from them shows how ignorant you are.
If you truly want to help the world and stop the killing not incite killing Pamela then help the Muslims see the error of their ways, or are you too ignorant to do that so all you can do is make fun of or provoke or is your life that pathetic that you seek attention, in any way you can get it?

Maybe we “westerners” should start saying,”if you Muslims build anymore mosques, we will kill you!” Why is it okay to offend a Christian, but Muslims get away with murder….literally???
