Islamic State claims responsibility for shooting at Texas AFDI/JW free speech event

17

People are trying to figure out whether the Islamic State ordered and coordinated the attack, or whether the gunmen were simply inspired by the Islamic State. This is a distinction without a difference. The Islamic State has called for jihad attacks in the United States, and published manuals explaining how Muslims can construct bombs and kill Infidels in other ways. Did they get an order from the caliph? Whether or not they were in direct contact with him, yes, they did get such an order.

“ISIS claims responsibility for Texas shooting but offers no proof,” by Holly Yan, CNN, May 5, 2015:

Story continues below advertisement

(CNN)ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack outside a Prophet Mohammed cartoon contest in Texas — and warned of more attacks to come.

In a broadcast on its official radio channel Tuesday, the group said two Al Khilafa soldiers opened fire outside the event in Garland, a Dallas suburb. Al Khilafa is how ISIS refers to its soldiers.

CNN cannot confirm the claim, and ISIS offered no evidence that the gunmen were affiliates with the terror organization.

The gunmen, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi, wounded a security guard before police shot and killed them.
Nadir Soofi, left, and Elton Simpson were the two gunmen in the Garland, Texas, shooting.

The ISIS radio announcer also referred to Simpson and Soofi as the terror group’s “brothers.” The announcement ended with this warning:

“We say to the defenders of the cross, the U.S., that future attacks are going to be harsher and worse. The Islamic State soldiers will inflict harm on you with the grace of God. The future is just around the corner.”

ISIS sympathizers or operatives?

While ISIS claimed responsibility two days after the attack, there was no immediate indication that the terror group in Iraq and Syria had contact with Simpson or Soofi, who both lived in Phoenix.

Former FBI agent Tim Clemente said the gunmen may have plotted the attack without direction from ISIS.

“They may not have had formal contact (with ISIS). They may have had email communication or read communications from ISIS, but I don’t think they were directed by ISIS,” Clemente told CNN.

“I think it’s the other way around — they were kind of applying for membership into ISIS. And so they were doing this act, sent out the tweet in advance because if they know there’s a possibility they’re not going to make it out of this, then they can’t give recognition to what they were trying to do after the fact.”

On Tuesday, White House spokesman Josh Earnest described what happened as “an attempted terrorist act (that) was foiled.” U.S. authorities, meanwhile, are still looking into what links — if any — Sunday’s shooters had to international terrorism.

But there are clues that one of the gunmen was an ISIS sympathizer.

Moments before the attack, Simpson posted an ominous tweet with the hashtag #texasattack: “May Allah accept us as mujahideen.”

The tweet also said he and his fellow attacker had pledged allegiance to “Amirul Mu’mineen,” which means “the leader of the faithful.” CNN terrorism analyst Paul Cruickshank said that likely refers to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

And earlier, Simpson had asked his followers on Twitter to follow an ISIS propagandist.

After the shooting, the propagandist tweeted: “Allahu Akbar!!!! 2 of our brothers just opened fire.”

Both Twitter accounts have been deactivated.

In 2011, Simpson was convicted of making a false statement involving international and domestic terrorism. Prosecutors said he told FBI agents he had not discussed traveling to Somalia to engage in “violent jihad” — when, in fact, he had, according to an indictment.

Simpson was sentenced to three years of probation, court records show.

Soofi, on the other hand, was relatively unknown to federal investigators, a law enforcement official told CNN.

Authorities knew of no indication the pair planned to launch Sunday’s attack, another law enforcement official said.

Simpson and Soofi drove to Garland equipped with body armor and assault rifles.

Inside the city’s Curtis Culwell Center, the American Freedom Defense Initiative was hosting a cartoon contest featuring depictions of the Prophet Mohammed — which many Muslims consider sacrilege.

The two assailants drove up to the center and started shooting, striking a security guard in the ankle. But Garland police returned fire, killing the gunmen before they were able to enter the building.

Police “faced death head-on and, with incredible skill and bravery, were able to save a lot of people,” said Zach Horn, an attorney for the officers.

The shooting stirred memories of other attacks this year in France and Denmark.

In January, gunmen attacked the offices of Charlie Hebdo, a French satirical magazine that has a controversial history of depicting Mohammed, and killed 12 people.

In February, a gunman attacked a free speech forum in Copenhagen, Denmark, featuring artist Lars Vilks, who infuriated al Qaeda with his depictions of Mohammed.

When will this Country understand you can’t play nice with Islam? It must be destroyed with force, if we don’t, our children will be doomed to beheading s and slavery. These people are savages! From what I observed over there of the indiscriminate murder of civilians being used as shields and human bombs, yes! they’re SAVAGES!

The UN clown has already pronounced “nothing islamic” about the attack in Texas, and the WH under sultan Barry will continue to cover for their beloved murdering jihjadists!

Seems every time we see a recruiting poster for islam with a burning US flag, we should respond with the incineration of scores of the unholy korans.

Don’t even bother giving daesh credit for this. Of course they are going to try and claim responsibility. They don’t get it, but they are dead men walking. Their time is coming when they will be wiped off the face of the earth – all of them.

I want to thank you, Pamela, and both Robert Spencer and Geert Wilders for being the voices of sanity and honesty in a world infected by islam—an infection matched only by that of a virulent “pc’ism” that has blinded many in the West to the devil at the door.

I am utterly astounded by the ignorance, self-deception and denial I see displayed everyday on tv, online and in print by otherwise reasonably intelligent people who seem to be literally defending a “religion” (really a 7th century murderous political ideology) whose followers are, everyday, murdering, maiming and destroying lives and property somewhere in the world. I pray the attempted violent isis response to your event in Texas will help WAKE UP an inattentive and largely ignorant public to the threat from within and without. To hear ignorant (an typically liberal) commentators on the air attempt to blame YOU for this attempted attack for having “taunted” the jihadists is like blaming the sinking of supply ships by nazi submarines crossing the Atlantic on FDR for “taunting” the Germans. Un f’ng believable!!!!!!!!! And Donald Trump should be absolutely ashamed of his comments earlier today on Fox News blaming you, Pamela, for this jihadist incident. Donny, too, has apparently joined the growing pool of dhimmis in the West. His tough guy image is about as transparent as his comb-over.

We had ALL better start now standing up to and quelling this whole islamist movement, stop all immigration to the West of islamic peoples, and declare islam and the qur’an as the source of the evil cancer we see metastasizing worldwide. This is WAR and we in the West had better win it!!!

Well Said! I am impressed with your stance on the ignorance of many White Americans and I must say; I am not part of that group of White Ignorant Americans. I am a White Woman in my 40’s who strongly opposes this Islam crap and worships Jesus Christ our Lord. I fully support Israel and I agree- stop the migration of Islamist people to the U.S. but we can blame the U.S. State Department who issues the Visa’s to these Devil Worshiping people and the Embassies in the Eastern Countries who also approve their visa’s to travel. It is all about destroying America of course and as long as the reporters on the Media channels and these high ranking Government Officials continue to love up to these evil ones; we have a larger battle here in our homeland. Where in the hell is Department of Homeland Security Officials? Are they being bought off too or following the path of the Devil!!

The solution consists of a controlled pair to the jihad ape’s thoracic cavity, and another to its head if it is still standing with a weapon in its hand. The police put the latter into effect in Texas, and now we have two good (dead) jihad apes.

Whether ISIS approved the attack conveniently after the fact or not is immaterial. They not only condoned the attack but also those who perpetrated it.

Of course Islamic Slobs Inbred Scumbags ordered it.
Doesn’t have to be in a direct fashion because all pertinent orders regarding whom needs killing is already printed on the toilet paper we use at the cottage.
And it goes without saying that for these these nice moderate moSlums it is most likely required reading while at dailey ass sniffing bend over time in their local mosque.
