There is much to glean from the latest jihad attack in Garland, Texas. We smoked out a terror network, and much to my surprise, we smoked out the imposters on the right. Rush, Sean Hannity, David French, Mark Levin, Rich Lowry, and Megan Kelly have been brilliant and brave in the defense of freedom against sharia restrictions on speech. They are the rare, principled voices of freedom in a sea of cowards and quislings.

“I will continue to speak in defense of freedom until the day I die. It’s just that simple. It’s not even a choice. It’s a calling.”
How can any thinking and civilized person ever believe there is a wisp of truth to the proposition: “There are times when it is ‘understandable’ that people would slaughter others because of a cartoon”? Everyone who follows world events in the United States, regardless of their political leanings, has seen the unimaginably vile actions of ISIS against “unbelievers” and “those who defame the prophet.” How can anyone take their side? To do so even to the smallest extent renders the defender equally vile. And yet, of course, that is what we have come to in the cesspool that is the American left.
Over the past few days the denouncement and criticism of Pamela Geller for the Garland, Texas terrorist attack against Americans on American soil has reached unusually disgusting levels. The transexual poster pedophiles at the New York Times, in an item typical of the crack-smoking Marxist media and its acolytes, proclaims in an editorial: Pamela Geller, the anti-Islam campaigner behind the Texas event, has a long history of declarations and actions motivated purely by hatred for Muslims… To which the always measure Neoneocon responds:
So here’s my challenge to the Times editors: give us some quotes from Geller. Some, you know, evidence of her hatred. Surely there must be reams and reams and reams. What has Geller said that’s so venomous and bigoted? About whom did she say it, all Muslims or Muslim terrorists? What was so hateful about the cartoon that won the contest, and why is it so obvious it wasn’t about free speech? neo-neocon
Neoneocon is correct. You will search long and search deep for the evidence of such hatred for it is slim to scant to none.
The attitude of the American Left towards Geller is expected. But more disturbing and more to the point of the issue involving “Free Speech” are the Pecksniffian qualifying statements from a number of commentators on the Right.
These blighted souls are those I term the “Yes But Brigade.” These are the folks, Greta Van Susteren as just one notable example among many, who seem to feel that Geller “provoked” two Islamic insects to get in their car, drive to the event in Garland, Texas, and attempt to enter the venue with rifles in order to slaughter all, all, the Americans inside. That they failed is beside the point. If things had gone the other way we would have had an attack on American soil more dire that the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris.
And yet still there are those on the right (“Yes…. but…..”) that believe that Pamela Geller should just have been very, very quiet about cartoons that “defame the prophet;” that she should have just, like all these quiet cowards on the right, let the terrorists continue their winning streak when it comes to shutting down the right to make a drawing.
I’ve met Pamela Geller personally on a few occassions and in the past corresponded with her and consulted her by phone during the time I was the Editor-In-Chief of Pajamas Media. Geller is a person who, in the wake of 9/11, found her life changed, changed utterly, and who has followed the cause of resistance to terrorism without fear or favor since that time.
It has led her to lead the opposition to the insulting mosque near Ground Zero. And it has led her to be one of the most unlikely champions of free speech. Many say that Garland was just some sort of bizarre attention-getting device for Geller, but that is not true. It is a device for calling attention to the fact that many do not believe their own ardent proclamations of 1st Amendment when the hammer comes down.
Just now on Fox News, playing in the background, a panel was discussing Geller some pundit declared: Quote “I am a first ammendment absolutist and there is no “but” after that, but….” Endquote
None of these pundits has, between them, five percent of the courage that Geller has displayed. Nor will they have her courage. Ever. Islam has cowed them all; cowed them into their cowardly appeasement signaled by their “Yes, but”.
In sharp contrast, Geller has effectively put her life in jeopardy now and for decades to come. For the rest of her life she will never again be able to more without guards and a care for her security. She has sacrificed the freedom found in anonymity for the 1st Amendment that enables so many of those who criticize her to make their living and live their life. She has not made herself a target for Islamic vermin out of a thirst for personal publicity. Nobody sane does that and Geller is more than sane. She has done this because she believes that it is evil to kill people for making drawings. She believes this with no “Buts” attached. Geller has more balls than all of the “Yes But Brigade” combined.
More than that she has principles by which she lives and which she has not compromised. She’s not some martyr in the making like Joan of Arc. She’s much more like, if you want a contemporary icon, Sylvester Stallone’s character in Cobra, Marion Cobretti: I don’t deal with psychos. I put them away.
If the Right in this country had a division of people with the balls and brains and insights of Geller, our sinking ship of state could be made to float and sail on again.
Those on the Right who condemn Geller are those who already “hold their manhoods cheap.” This is a war. A war that has come — again — to American soil, and one that will not go away. What happened in Garland was not a “provocative art show,” it was another armed skirmish of a long terror campaign. ISIS in the last few days has confirmed it. Geller knows what it was and speaks the truth about Islam’s aims in America. No “buts” about it.

I imagine thousands of us saying the same thing. Thank you Pamela and friends. I encourage everyone to donate what you can. She is doing it for all of us…and it is a calling. How many others stand up like Pam does? MSM is useless and pathetic, unless you would like Brian Williams back to lie to you every night? I have given up on American and Canadian news, but we should always check in to know how they are lying. Know your enemies. The MSM in North America is your enemy and having followed UK politics in this election they have the same problem over there.

When you look at the reaction from the “but brigade” now you know what the Muslim Brotherhood meant in their manifesto where they stated their intention to bring down Western civilization by “their hands.” In other words, use the infidels preoccupation with political correctness to slowly but surely lure them into subordinating their society’s bedrock principles to sharia.

Pirro leaves no doubt where she stands when she makes her monologue. I’m wondering if Pamela is judging her based on her questions or if she spoke with her afterwards. If the latter then she is justified in her opinion. If she bases her opinion on the questions which were meant to give Pamela the opportunity to make her case, then she is in error.
If I make the argument as Devil’s Advocate because I understand how liberals think and what answers they need to come to understanding, does that make me a liberal?

Judge Pirro had a strong “opening statement” and I think she then went into devil’s advocate mode. I give her more credit than the rest of the ORongly types, (OReilly was just WRONG), but as she is an opinion show, she should have been clearer about her support of Pam Geller in the body of the interview.

I laughed too, isn’t that the point? So a few of the lesser known also said I believe in Free Speech, but. Only a few of the stalwarts show their commitment to free speech. I am sorely disappointed in Piro and Ingraham, they had a chance to stand up and didn’t. Pity they didn’t have the commitment or the calling to stand up with a hero of this age, Pam Geller. I understand family commitments, but surely your sisterhood should make you support Pam Geller. Period. No BUTS. I am really angry with today’s women, they don’t seem to have a sense of themselves as women, just waiting for someone to tell them whether they have stepped over the line. Pamela Geller and I agree that is the sharia. Check it out, you check things out with your friends or talk about an article and see if you are not self censoring. That is probably sharia. Campbell’s soup has already pissed me off in Canada by having Tomato Soup called halal, you can see it on their label. Why should a vegetarian soup be halal? Money to an imam to bless the soup? Every statement we make is based on the time we have to make it. We can’t say everything we want or mean in the time allotted us. One interview is not enough to come to a conclusion about anything. Everyone can make a misstatement or omission that can easily be misconstrued. I haven’t heard Jeanine come out and say Pamela was wrong like O’Reilly did.

Islam is so intellectually barren and ethically repulsive that it cannot compete for followers in a free marketplace of ideas, but must eliminate its competitors by whatever means may be necessary.
Islam isn’t a religion in any normal sense, but has more in common with vicious totalitarian tyrannies such as Nazism and Stalinism. I thank Pamela Geller for her courageous efforts for OUR Freedom of Speech. For the most part, if there is ANY condemnation by the Muslim community, it’s “very, very quiet”. Why?
1) Fear of the obvious retaliation.
2) A confusion within the Muslim community as to – “It’s my religion, which I believe in, but I don’t take all the parts of it literally. But, as it is my religion, I cannot speak out against it”.
These are pretty much the two arguments in support of the SINCERE.
Unfortunately, for the most part……their silence is complicity…..
and not as many Muslims as we’d wish are “sincere”.
BTW…not off topic at all. This kind of question and dialogue is what this blog is all about, despite what the MSM would have you believe……

Here are the two most likely reasons:
1. It is their religion, they know what it requires, they agree with what the “radicals” (they are the most devout toward historic orthodox Islam) are doing, but don’t speak out because they are still a minority in this land, while
2. A smaller number are wary of the predominant orthodox, reformed (aka “radical”) version of Islam because they, themselves, practice a nominal, apostate version. So they suggest their apostate version of Islam was hijacked by radicals but they say it very quietly out of fear of the mainstream orthodox (aka “radical”) Muslims.
Number 2 runs a distant 2nd. Number 1, above, is the obvious reason because of Islam’s doctrine of taqiyya, with deception being a highly honed Muslim skill set, and the fact that intolerance and supremacism are what the vast majority of Islamic leaders promote – these are core doctrines in their religious texts as practiced throughout 1,400 years of Islamic history.

This article is so true. John Nolte had an article today where he compared Pamela to Martin Lther King and Garland to Selma. Americans must stand up for our rights or we will lose all of them. I saw Juan Williams disparaging Pam Geller on one of those Fox Business Block shows for what he sneered was her self promotion. Jonathan Hoenig told him that he’d seen Juan promoting himself everyday on Fox, along with his seven, or however many, books he’d written. You know, it’s surprising that so many supposedly smart people have utterly and completely failed to understand what Pamela has accomplished here. With just one relatively obscure presentation she has managed to reveal to America that Islamic terrorism is not just over there, it’s right here. She has managed to eliminate Obama’s ability to ignore and excuse terrorism that is committed in the name of Islam, and she has managed to expose the quislings and apologists for Islamic terror that exist within our own society. She has performed a huge service for America and should be celebrated as a hero.

KFI AM 640 is no better than the left wing mainstream media. Some blowhard after 7pm; was probably not the John & Ken program, was bloviating about how bad the contest was and how awful it is to insult religions/muslims/etc. Ugh. I had to turn it off or at least get the dial away from KFI. Repulsive and sickening. The same radio station as John and Ken. I respect Rush Limbaugh, not on KFI, and know he is a huge right winger, still as a Californian, I like John and Ken talking about local issues, dissing Jerry Brown, etc.
KFI has to get dhimmi left wing nonsense off their airwaves or I’m boycotting; John and Ken aren’t worth it!

Apparently the tard who despises Pam Geller and freedom is some lefty pantywaist named Mo Kelly. He only wastes time on KFI on sundays. His background is atrocious, suffice it to say he could be an affirmative action hire; one that isn’t needed and only drags KFI down for about 2 hours.
How a guy like Mo Kelly got a radio show outside npr is beyond me. At least as far as I know the rest of KFI actually likes free speech.

Jerry Brown wasn’t all bad. At one point he agreed to send CalTrans workers to Saudi Arabia to do construction work, when the holy islamic kingdom asked to have all the workers vetted to insure none of them were Jewish, Brown said you take all of them or none of them.

Mohammed took the Jewish Book and the Christian Book –the writings therein — and turned them to support what was essentially a gang of pirates–evil men who made themselves rich hurting people. In fact, Mohammed spent time in an Orthodox Christian monastery, but he had strange and mentally ill ideas that he was a “messiah.” They tried working with him to help him, but he would not stop and come to the truth. They eventually had to force him to leave and not come back. So he took what he had been exposed to from the Tenach and the writings of the Christian Apostles, and twisted it for his own gain through many crimes. His followers do the same now.
The point is: don’t be manipulated by it. Someone who robs, tortures, rapes, murders for a living is no friend of God.

I would absolutely sign that document. There was a time that I considered quitting my posts to FB, figuring I’ve been relegated to most of my “friends”‘ ‘do not disturb me with his posts’ list. But that same day I saw you, Pamela, face the enemy in this righteous cause and I realized posting is the very least I can do. A couple months back a person on my list, someone who has never “liked” or commented on anything, pulled me aside and whispered, “You’re my FB hero – keep posting!” Another encouragement is from reading the comment sections after articles – a much higher percentage of people than before seem to know what’s going on and shout down the ignorant, leftist comments for appeasement of savages.

Watching the detractors on Fox News concerning Pamela Geller, specifically Juan Williams, (who was saved by Bill O’Reilly), brought back memories of the “Bleachers Kids”. You remember, the kids that hid behind the bleachers when it was time to play Dodge Ball in Gym. These kids were very quiet back in the day, but now the Internet, or a job as a talking head, has given them a voice. Juan Williams is such a Bleachers Kid, allowed a soap box at Fox News to spew his opinion. After watching him with Ms. Geller, what jumped out was that Juan Williams’ rhetoric was far more dangerous than Ms. Geller’s Cartoon Contest.
