Three sons of Turkish professor join the Islamic State (ISIS)

23

It has been shown time and time again – whether it was the Muslim doctors who tried to blow up the Glasgow airport; or the wealthy, educated diplomat’s son who attempted to bomb a plane right out of the sky over Detroit on Christmas Day; or the group of 45 Muslim doctors who plotted Islamic terror raids in the U.S.; or the rich, well-educated Osama bin Laden; or the 19 Sept. 11 hijackers – that poverty does not cause terrorism, no matter what Kerry says. Jihad has nothing to do with wealth or education. It is a religion, a totalitarian and supremacist belief system.

Obama’s clowns (Kerry) and goons (Brennan) make laughingstocks of themselves (and by proxy, the American people) when, for example, they say that “jihad a product of injustices, economics, and ignorance.” In reality, the Economist reported back in December 2010:

The ranks of high-profile terrorism suspects also boast plenty of middle-class, well-educated people. The would-be Times Square bomber, Faisal Shehzad, boasts an MBA and is the son of a senior Pakistani air-force officer. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who stands accused of lighting a makeshift bomb on a transatlantic flight in the so-called “underwear plot,” had a degree from University College, London, and is the son of a rich Nigerian banker. The suspected suicide-bomber in this week’s attacks in Stockholm had a degree from a British university.

Also, “according to a 2008 survey of such studies by Alan Krueger of Princeton University, they have found little evidence that the typical terrorist is unusually poor or badly schooled.” And “new research from Queen Mary University of London has found youth, wealth, and being in full-time education to be risk factors associated with violent radicalization.” A Danish study in May 2014 found that “radicalized young Muslims are often what one would consider well-integrated: They are better educated than average and also perform better economically and socially, and will therefore be largely able to maintain a double life.”

The refusal to recognize reality will not spare us. Quite the opposite, I assure you: Such irrational denial will continue to exact an unfathomable human toll.

my three sons

“Three sons of Turkish professor join ISIL,” by Fevzi Kızılkoyun, Hürriyet Daily News, March 20, 2015:

Three sons of an assistant professor at a Turkish university have joined the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Hürriyet has learned.

The assistant professor, whom Hürriyet identifies only as M. Şefik İ. to avoid possible repercussions that may risk his safety, has appealed to the government for help, but security forces determined that his sons have already crossed to Syria.

According to the investigation, 19-year-old Hacettepe University student Süleyman Bengi İ. led his 16-year-old twin brothers, Dilar and Dilşat, in their venture to join ISIL. After crossing Turkey’s border with Syria, the three teenagers continued to Iraq to join the ranks of ISIL there, Turkey’s National Intelligence Agency (MİT) revealed.

“We have found peace here, don’t worry about us,” Süleyman Bengi İ. sent in a message to his family after they crossed the border.

The family, on the other hand, have called on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, the MİT and the police to bring their sons back to Turkey.

‘Promised Heaven’

Turkish authorities continue diplomatic efforts to bring back the three brothers who are still in an ISIL-controlled area of Iraq. Meanwhile, police and intelligence officers are investigating whom Süleyman Bengi İ. contacted in Ankara to cross the border.

Before leaving his dorm in Ankara, Süleyman Bengi İ., a dentist candidate, left a note for his family, urging his mother to distribute the belongings he left behind to the poor.

Those who know him told Hürriyet he was a successful student who was radicalized after he started to visit Islamist bookstores. The change in his personality became more dramatic after he read a book titled “Promised Heaven,” which he also distributed to his friends.

A billboard poster prepared by the family says that Süleyman Bengi went missing in Ankara, while his brothers went missing in Diyarbakır, on March 10.

Dire situation in numbers

A Hürriyet investigation in September 2014 revealed a number of Islamic associations and bookstores which had popped up across Turkey had become one of the main recruiting tools of ISIL in the country.

Turkish intelligence recently sent a report to Turkey’s associations watchdog, determining that seven associations and foundations should be scrutinized for their suspicious activities.

So far 2,307 Turkish citizens have joined ISIL, according to official figures, with some 700 more linked to the group. Around 1,500 of them still live in the ISIL-controlled areas of Syria and Iraq and most of them are fighting in the ranks of the jihadists.

In 2014 and the first three months of 2015, 680 families in Turkey reported their children went missing to join ISIL.

Officials say 11 Turks have died so far while fighting for the group.

The academic world are part of the problem. That’s where young people are exposed to heinous, arrogant left-wing agitprop. Coming as it does from people in positions of authority, this propaganda puts a lot of students on the wrong road. Try having a conversation with some of these “new experts”. They’re a joke!

In Somalialand U.S.A (MN), some students are protesting this cultural invasion. I’m not saying I condone violence against muslims, but I do sympathize with these patriotic young minds. It must be frustrating to be an educated young person, to fully understand what the ummah is doing, and yet feel helpless to do anything about it. Let me be bold and say, I almost applaud their patriotism. And this is assuming it’s all true, it could just be the usual taqiyya.

Here it is, and do you notice how it’s portrayed as a “racial” problem?

It’s going to take more than a “F off” to get rid of these infiltrators. We need a whole new mindset here in America about these islamo-nazis. Freedom loving people, true Americans, need to recognize the grave threat they pose to our national security, our culture, and the future of our nation.

If one has eyes to see and ears to hear, then it’s not too difficult to grasp the enormity of islam’s evil influence on the world. We can close our eyes if we choose, but it will cost us our heads.

I have thought this way for a few years now, since my experience with Obama. Seeing the way he acts, and does, tells me these are bad people.

Students in school need to be ever-vigilant, always on guard against sharia creep and islamic degradation of our cultural values. We shan’t compromise freedom, too many have died and suffered for it. We have fought the wars, marched the marches, and preached the good news, and we’re not going back for islam. If they want to live with us they can embrace our values, our way of life, or they can go back to the crap- hole they came from. And for cripes sake, get rid of that ridiculous burka! it’s degrading to women!

It’s up to the young people to create their own future. They can be weak for islam and live under tyranny, or they can stand firm for America and live free. I’m confident they’ll make the right choice.

I have taught my children at home all about Islam. They have got a perfect hatred for Islam. They always challenge islamic poison in their classes. I have been to see their head of school to warn him about one of their muslim teachers and got the teacher fired.

That’s commendable. It could never be wrong to care about ones nation and values. We know we’re on the right path, islam is a road to hell, we see its demonic influence every single day. To rebut islam is not paranoia or a phobia, it’s simply acting responsibly for human rights and sound morality. Clearly you understand this. 🙂

ReaganAK47, good for you for getting this poisonous Islamist out of our school system. Things would be much better here in our country, if people got up and did something about teachers like this one. Good for you, you are a true American.

That is certainly correct, the new narrative that hangs thickly like a toxic miasma over the modern campus pervades the minds of even those young people that had some morals and sense of decency imbued to them in their upbringing.
How can there be such a moral convolution in the minds of so called educated people that they can even suggest for a second that it is somehow right or acceptable to place ordinance, an actual bomb in a crowded market in Thailand, to kill and maim children, women and men who have little to do with their so called ” legitimate grievances “?
And how can these same self righteous, pouting and dishonest left wing “academics” not conclude that no other religion does this, despite having some legitimate grievances?

Right on! Extremist Islam is a supremacist, totalitarian belief system. I would never call it a religion, because when they radicalize their belief system they drop any pretense that their’s is a religion. The basic concept of religion demands tolerance and love of life, and can never justify the murder and mayhem which radicalized fundamentalists accept as their belief system. While I have to believe that many who practice Islam, do not accept the philosophy that life is meaningless, and death in support of Islamic Jihad is martyrdom; those who do are metastasizing into a spreading disease process that needs to eradicated. While I do not know how that eradication can be done, I do know, as Egypt’s president , and it religious leader has said, it is obvious that a reformation must occur in their belief system, challenging that Jihad in support of Islam will bring martyrdom to those who die in support of their belief system, and that the bottom line of their belief system much be to accept as its premise to live tolerantly within this world, with life and love to be the key component, and death a simple end of the glory of life, without any special privileges. At this point, eradication of the cancer out there will probably first require “attacking” and/or killing off those who have become radicalized and then beginning a new teaching within the community of Islam, a teaching that accepts life, love and the acceptance of the Ten Commandments. If our leaders understood that this is likely the only way to save us from the coming conflagration, we need to start now, and stop the present failed foreign policy that will allow Iran a nuclear weapon and abandon our true allies.
