Massive Jihad Slaughter: 145 dead in Taliban attack on school, hundreds of children held hostage

UPDATE: Update at 2:06 p.m. ET. 145 Dead:

Citing government officials, Dawn, the New York Times and the BBC are now putting the death toll at at least 140, most of them children.

More tolerance and interfaith dialogue from another one of Obama’s peace partners — the Taliban. What do they want? Islamic law, Islamic rule, of course. And like Muhammad, like will slaughter, maim, annihilate to get it.

Children.

This attack is eerily reminiscent of the Islamic attack on the school in Beslan, where hundreds of children were taken hostage and tortured.

Fighting was still underway in some parts of the school.

It was not clear how many students and staff remained still inside the facility. A student who escaped and a police official on the scene earlier said that at one point, about 200 students were being held hostage.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Taliban gunmen stormed a military-run school in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Tuesday, killing 126 people, officials said, in the worst attack to hit the country in years.

The overwhelming majority of the victims were students at the army public school, which has children and teenagers in grades 1-10.

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the assault and rushed to Peshawar to show his support for the victims.

The horrific attack, carried out by a relatively small number of militants from the Tehreek-e-Taliban group, a Pakistani militant group trying to overthrow the government, also sent dozens of wounded flooding into local hospitals as terrified parents searched for their children.

“My son was in uniform in the morning. He is in a casket now,” wailed one parent, Tahir Ali, as he came to the hospital to collect the body of his 14-year-old son Abdullah. “My son was my dream. My dream has been killed.”

The attack began in the morning hours, with about half a dozen gunmen entering the school – and shooting at random, said police officer Javed Khan. Army commandos quickly arrived at the scene and started exchanging fire with the gunmen, he said. Students wearing their green school uniforms could be seen on Pakistani television, fleeing the area.

Outside the school, two loud booms of unknown origin were heard coming from the scene in the early afternoon, as Pakistani troops battled with the attackers. Armored personnel carriers were deployed around the school grounds

Details were sketchy in the face of the overwhelming tragedy. Pakistani television showed soldiers surrounding the area and pushing people back. Ambulances streamed from the area to local hospitals.

The information minister for the province, Mushtaq Ghani, said 126 people were killed in the attack. Most of the dead were students, children and teenagers, from the school, he said. Hospital officials said earlier that at least one teacher and a paramilitary soldier were among the dead.

Pervez Khattak, the chief minister of the province where Peshawar is located, said fighting was still underway in some parts of the school.

The prime minister vowed that the country would not be cowed by the violence and that the military would continue with an aggressive operation launched in June in the North Waziristan tribal area to rout militants.

“The fight will continue. No one should have any doubt about it,” Sharif said.

It was not clear how many students and staff remained still inside the facility. A student who escaped and a police official on the scene earlier said that at one point, about 200 students were being held hostage. Both spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to media.

One of the wounded students, Abdullah Jamal, said that he was with a group of 8th, 9th and 10th graders who were getting first-aid instructions and training with a team of Pakistani army medics when the violence began for real.

When the shooting started, Jamal, who was shot in the leg, said nobody knew what was going on in the first few seconds.

“Then I saw children falling down who were crying and screaming. I also fell down. I learned later that I have got a bullet,” he said, speaking from his hospital bed.

Another student, Amir Mateen, said they locked the door from the inside when they heard the shooting but gunmen blasted through the door anyway and began shooting.

There was conflicting information about how many attackers carried out the violence, but it was a relatively small number.

Taliban spokesman Mohammed Khurasani claimed responsibility for the attack in a phone call to media, saying that six suicide bombers had carried out the attack in revenge for the killings of Taliban members at the hands of Pakistani authorities. But the chief minister said there were eight attackers, dressed in military uniforms. Two were killed by security forces and one blew himself up, Khattak said. The rest were still fighting.

The Pakistani military spokesman, Asim Bajwa, said on Twitter that five militants had been killed and that security forces had rescued two children and two staff members.

Peshawar has been the target of frequent militant attacks in the past but has seen a relative lull recently.

The Pakistani military launched a widespread military operation in the North Waziristan tribal area in June, vowing that it would go after all militant groups that had been operating in the area. With the launch of the operation, security officials and civilians feared a backlash by militants targeted by the military but until Tuesday a widespread backlash had failed to materialize.

Tuesday’s attack calls into question whether the militants have been crippled by the military or will be able to regroup. This appeared to be the worst attack in Pakistan since the 2008 suicide bombing in the port city of Karachi killed 150 people.

The violence also underscored the vulnerability of Pakistani schools, which was dramatically exposed in the attack two years ago on Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani girl shot in the head by a Taliban gunman outside her school in Swat Valley for daring to speak up about girls’ rights. She survived, becoming a Nobel Prize laureate and global advocate for girls’ education.

Reference to Beslan is apt. We are in WWIII, but it is not acknowledged by our government.

    • Clare

Typically in the past we would declare war against a country. Who would we declare war against? Saudi Arabia, Quatar? Islam is spreading it’s insane jihad all over the world. The ‘armies of allah’ are all over the place. The only thing to be done as far as I can tell (were we to have a sane federal administration) is to enforce platforms like the AFDI Platform Defending Freedom which Pamela Geller has posted here many times. I don’t know if individual States could enforce platforms of this kind independent of the federal government.

      • famouswolf

That’s going to be part of the furball, I’m afraid. States rights are also under attack, and the USA is facing potential civil war as well as Islamic incursion.
It’s all going to come down to citizen militia groups. We may be looking at a scenario similar to the Thirty Years War, but worse.
Soon I doubt there will be a United States, at least not one recognizable as the country we grew up in.

Take note, the problem with Islam is not just with ISIS, though that group is getting much of the press coverage. No, the problem is with Islam itself, as we see killings happening worldwide, including in the U.S.

In addition, a pattern has emerged, in which a vicious attack happens, and then other Muslims claim to fear reprisals from non-Muslims. It’s a classic bait and switch, in which the followers of Allah attack and kill, and then immediately claim a persecuted status. This is basic Islamic Takiyya (deception), intended to promote violent Jihad and to deny any associations to be made by the world regarding Islam itself.

Once again, there is no benevolent form of Islam, and Allah is nothing more than a brutal false god from ancient Babylon (Bel), which Satan is using as his most transparent mask today. You want to know the true nature of our enemy (Satan)? Simply examine all aspects of Islam, not only the obvious violence and cruelty, and you will see Satan’s deception, murderous intent, willingness to say and do anything to achieve his goals, and his craftiness in lies and ruthlessness to all, including those who choose to willingly serve him.

This will only end at Armageddon, and while we may not be able to eradicate the evil of Islam from the world until Christ returns, we can resist it now in daily life, recognizing it for the Satanic religion that it is. Other openly Satanic religions have nothing on Islam for cruelty, deception, and slaughter.

In 1994, Pakistan is the first country which officially recognise Taliban. Taliban is a figher group developed by Pakistan to fight against USSR. Then they focused against USA. Now USA is withdrawing its troop and a democratically elected government is working in Afganistan. Now those fighters has no job to do? Now ther are creting dent on the society of its creater. Pakistan, a failed state and Taliban, a focus less fighter group both came up from the same base and heating each other. Frankenstine did not spare his creater.

Time for all nations of the world to declare total war upon the Islamic State – they have gone way over the line – they want to die in Jihad then the world should accommodate these international criminals of the worst order – bring the resources of the entire globe against these locusts – apparently only extinction will end the unspeakable cruelty of these demonic beings. Let them go to their heaven where they will be amazingly shocked to find quite the contrary awaiting them. These beings will storm the very doors of hell in mass – it has been their choice for more than a millennium and yet they have learned nothing of true righteousness, compassion, and true peace.

All of this pick, pick, picking…Mankind as a whole detest crimes against the innocent. That is why they use them as targets. They are picking a fight with humanity. These with an agenda want a war. They are blood thirsty and want us to be. ..they WANT an all out gut wrenching bloody battle. They will get one according to The Word.
All of these school shootings, mall shootings, race baiting, riot provokers, law breaking authorities, anti constitutional instigators are shoving, shoving shoving for a reason. …to get the world pissed off enough to fight! Why? They are arrogant and really do believe they’ll win. They want an actual WORLD WAR and need a lot of bodies for the armies. Hellooo?

    • famouswolf

Exactly. But…the only way to stop them is to give them what they want, in spades.
If anyone has a workable alternative, other than bowing down and becoming their slaves and second class inhabitants of a world with their bloody boot on everyone’s neck, PLEASE speak up.

As things are, it won’t work. I think the core of the problem is, since Islam was more or less quiescent last century, that modern communications and travel have put the West cheek to jowl with islam and it is threatened existentially by the freedoms of the West. Traditional islam literally cannot survive coexisting with the West. Thus, they must overcome and destroy us.
Maybe some sort of covenant to guarantee non interference in each other’s culture, but I don’t think so. I for one don’t really want to do that. As it is I have a difficult time knowing what they do in their ‘culture’. In the end, it would be best to make an end to islam if we can…or they will make an end to us. It is set , and it is going to be one way or the other. Each of us is faced with choosing a side in this upcoming titanic clash of cultures. Choose well.

One report is they set a teacher on fire in front of the kids.
The only way to solve his is overwhelming force. If every country that can, could send a million men, some less, we could wipe them out. Send a couple million to get rid of Boko Haram. Tell iSIS to put down their weapons or the same thing happens to them.

    • stopriots

“Tell iSIS to put down their weapons or the same thing happens to them.”

you are misguided and this is a reason why west is loosing this war. you can not win there because you can not kill them all. You should convert all these shitholes in the decert

Muslims suffer at the hands of other Muslims because (as has been proved through blogs like this one and many others) there is a problem within Islam itself; the root of the Muslim problem is in the texts of the koran. It is up to the Muslims themselves to fix it. That is why reports like this one are a two edged sword; the opposition Muslim army believe in the same ideology as the Muslim jihad “terrorist/extremists” army. Same army of allah, different goals. One for the goal of a secular form of shiria law, the other for the goal of a harsh unforgiving form of shiria law. Powers that be go to an awful lot of trouble to bury this, but it’s plain now thanks to the scholarship of our freedom fighters and patriots. It is Muslim’s jihad, it is Muslim’s book, it is Muslim’s law and they need to fix it or they will continue running around in these kinds of unending repetitive wars, Muslim against Muslim and Muslim against all non-Muslim “unbelievers”. Duh.

Sometimes I feel bad for these poor idiots. They are so hopelessly ignorant and retarded they can’t even see that the same, very religion, in which they believe, commands the Talibans to kill, rape, slaughter, torture, etc. they believe in the same thing, and they think that the Talibans are extreme… they are really unable to tell whether 2+2=4, or 5, 35, or else.
