    In Islam, the major laws for Muslims in an Islamic nation is Sharia laws, which are the major preventative causes for major sinful things such as killing people (except some Muslims go out and defend the land of Islam from invasions such as invasions of Romans in early Islamic times), committing adultery (for both husband and wife), committing sexual interactions without marriage, and such.
    
    The major laws for Muslims in non-Islamic nation is the constitution or equivalent of the nation if the constitution does not prevent the belief portion of Islam and acts of worships. It even has precedent over Muslims’ rights such as marrying 4 wives. If US constitution says a man can marry only 1 wife, even if my first wife wants or agrees for me to have a second wife, I must marry only 1 wife at any instance.
    
    Converting others to Islam never comes by coercion or one hand has Qur’an and the other has sword and such.
    
    In early times, when Prophet gave sermons to pagans to believe in one & only God, the pagans and the Jews bit him up when he was in Madina just after his migration from Mecca. Then, the Prophet got out of it (ran away from it) and resting under a tree or such, a Christian (the follower of Prophet Eesa) came to him and accept Islam from the Prophet.
    
    While preaching the message of Islam as a Prophet and Messenger, the Prophet never used aggression and violence. He fought in the several wars (defense wars), but, in preaching, he never became aggressive to coerce others to accept Islam.
    
    After the death of Prophet, and Muslims had established their nation, there were no more wars. Most of the people from south Asia, Indonesia, central Asia, and north Africa, spread through the characters, morals and manners (Akhlaq) of the Muslims’ traders and they are strong on their belief. That is, the follow the laws of Sharia which is more punitive for sins committed and more preventative from committing sins than the constitution of U.S.A.
    
    But, it was until like the time of crusades. When the crusaders’ atrocities comes to Muslims’ land (Just like Netanyahu’s atrocities come to Gaza – Palestine’s land), Muslims were losing seriously initially. But, finally it ended with the presence of Orient.
    
    This guy from Oklahoma is a new Muslim, does not realize there is no coercion in preaching to people outside workplace, and according to USA laws, workplace is not discussion place for religion and politics strictly, and I don’t really know what it is going on him mind.
    
    I grew up as a Muslim, I became a Muslim again after being a Christian, I have never tried others to convert in person or writing. I just have a blog. That’s all.
