FBI: Minnesota Muslims leave US to wage jihad in Syria

This is happening in Western countries all over the world: Muslims flocking to Syria to wage holy war. Color, nationality, race is of no import. The one powerful common thread: jihad.

Is the FBI monitoring the mosque that these scores of Muslims are praying in?

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) – The FBI says more Somali travelers have left Minnesota, possibly to fight against the regime of President Bashar Assad in Syria. Investigators believe those who left Minnesota were motivated by radical ideology, not nationalism.

The FBI has not specified how many people are believed to involved, but a leader in the Minnesota Somali community told Fox 9 News a dozen men have left. The FBI confirmed they have “indications” that some recently traveled overseas. Now, they are reaching out to the large Somali population in Minnesota to learn more.

One young man — a 20-year-old Somali college student — left the Twin Cities as recently as last Thursday. He sent a text message to his family from Istanbul, Turkey, to say he was heading to Syria to fight in the holy war.

The request for tips comes about a week after an American from Florida died in a suicide bombing attack on Syrian government troops in the city of Iblib.

Moner Mohammad Abu-Salha, 22, is believed to be the first U.S. citizen involved in a suicide bombing in the civil war’s three-year history. His family thought he was in Jordan when he died.

Since 2007, at least 22 young men have left Minnesota to join al-Shabaab in Somalia. Some have died there, and some were even praised as “Minnesota Martyrs” in an elaborate video released last year.

These guys have to be among the most stupid people in history. Their country, Somalia, is a backwater of human suffering. We (the West in general) give them a place to start again… and what do they do? Ponce off to get killed fighting for Sharia law! And the worst of all are the people born here, who convert and run off to do Jihad. Anyone with dual citizenship known to be joining Jihad needs to have their Western country citizenship revoked.

The Russians are handling this correctly by backing the Assad gov’t. He is far better than any likely alternative, just as a military overthrow in Egypt was better than Morsi and his Sharia. People in the West who don’t want to support Assad (or Sisi in Egypt) because they’re not boy scouts need to consider what happens to boy scouts in those countries.

They become child soldiers or sex slaves.

Well, it’s always good news when muslims leave America, whatever the reason. Let’s hope that most of these ones will go directly from Syria to the special hell they deserve and that the others will not be allowed to return to our country. It’s a thin ray of hope, I know, all the more reason to fight to make it happen.
