These are members of a quasi-judicial body which recommends federal prosecutions for defendants exonerated by state courts (in addition to recommending verdicts in jury trials it chooses to monitor).
This quasi-judicial body enjoys the deference of the federal court system, along with many state and local courts, police departments and media outlets, and works hand-in-hand with self-described civil rights and other advocacy groups such as the Communist Party, the Black Panthers, Acorn, Move On, Occupy, etc.
It’s worth noting that this quasi-judicial body has a mercurial membership of all volunteers and can convene without invitation or decree from any other organ of government at any time and place of its choosing to recommend indictments and verdicts in various ways ranging from assault and battery, to larceny and vandalism (especially arson) and even murder.
It should also be noted that this quasi-judicial body can remain dormant for weeks, months and even years. But when it chooses to convene and act, every American citizen is subject to its quasi-jurisdiction and anyone can receive a directed verdict through one of its proxy courts which will issue the official decree settling matters of controversy in which it has decided to intervene and take jurisdiction by spontaneously issuing itself an assumed quasi-writ of certiorari which supersedes the jurisdiction of all other courts and governmental agencies.
Oddly, this quasi-court, which convenes almost exclusively out of doors, has no no name, no leadership or hierarchy, no offices, no schedule, and no archives – indeed, it keeps no records at all – despite its critical role in American jurisprudence. It also answers to no authority. But to its credit, it does work exclusively on a pro bono basis, with the exception of certain types of remuneration and gratuities in the form of loot seized during any of its spontaneous sessions and sexual favors taken from non-consenting parties who find themselves before its impromptu “bench”.
And finally, it must be noted that – like the Supreme Court of the United States – as a court of “final jurisdiction”, there is no appeal from this ad hoc court. All of it’s decisions are final.

About that car surrounded by protesters and the question on what to do. That’s a tough one because if you hit the the gas pedal and zoom off and one of those protesters gets hurt even if you fear for your life, you’ll probably be in a court room fending off civil and criminal law suits. If you don’t hit the gas and they get inside the car, well, you could become a Reginald Denny. The other problem is even if the crowd doesn’t break a window attempting to get inside your vehicle, you don’t know if one of the thugs on your car has a gun or not and you’re just sitting there waiting to be a victim.
Now, here’s what I’d do. As you beep your horn, slowly start to drive forward and peel those people off your vehicle by getting them to think you’re driving off. Those who remain on your car, well, tough for them. Drive off like a bat out of hell and go to the Hollywood Police station and file your report. You sure as hell don’t want to stay at the scene of the accident when you are in mortal fear of your life. Sometimes the law just doesn’t reflect reality and you have a right to save your own life. When you get back home, start packing your house and leave California. If the court needs you, they can do what they need to do to get you back in California. Get the hell out of that state and let the thugs and the gang bangers and the leftist morons in Hollywood figure out how they’ll pay off all the debts for that state.

They’re screeching about how “black life” is worth less than “white life” in America. But the doctrine of subjugation through attrition is evident everywhere and not least in the very words, deeds and presumptions about both by black leaders and mobs in the street alike. They take immediate offense when we mistake them for another black man or woman. Yet the biggest race-Robespierre of all — Jihad Hussein Obama — takes to the bully pulpit to tell the country that if he had a son, he would look like Trayvon. How do they expect us to respect them and see them as equals when they insist on naming their children with words like Trayvon? How do they expect us to respect this president when he’s so obviously biased against the vast majority of people of the country that elected him — white, Christian, Jewish, working, property-owning, law-abiding, AMERICANS — the people who built this great country and handed it all to him?!!! Or when he and his racist Attorney General Holder exhibit such obvious relish in their cavalier disregard for our Constitution?
Nobody doubts that blacks have gotten a bad deal as slaves-become citizens (in increments) of the United States. Blacks have gotten a bad deal as people living on Planet Earth! Why would anyone expect anything else for them as a racial minority in the youngest, richest, most dynamic and growing, learning, evolving, improving nation the world has ever known? If they’re so oppressed here that they’re literally willing to threaten to overthrow the social order and run-amok over the remains of a great, white, civilized society, then they should seriously think about returning to Africa where they’ll be among people more like themselves and can live in squalor and fear.
The Zimmerman trial and verdict implies a glaring metaphor writ large for race in America, past, present and future. Trayvon’s last act was the commission of a violent felony. Yet they seek to sanctify him and iconize him as the martyred victim of white oppression. Trayvon became another young, stupid, black victim of his own congenital incivility and seething anger. Now, in the social unrest that they’re promoting and demonstrating in the streets and on the air-waves, what do they seek? They seek only revenge.

Its hard for me to feel the least bit sorry for these “reporters”. I would call it poetic justice since it was the media that race-baited with its malicious reporting about George Zimmerman.

Actually, I don’t know where you’re from but I’m guessing it’s not Los Angeles.
Dave Bryan is a great, hard-working, hard-nosed, aggressive and highly credible reporter.
Not every city has real reporters like him. And LA certainly has its share of idiots, suck-ups and lap-dogs.
But Dave Bryan is definitely not one of them.
